New Bike, Snacks, Shoppers, #SMDay

Well hello my friends. 😎✌This photo was taken yesterday and although I look very smiley, I’m not feeling great. I’m so tired. I’m not sure if it’s the small time change last week with my trip to Calgary or lack of sleep but I’m lethargic. I miss the cottage. It’s been weeks since we’ve got to have a good cottage hang and it’ll be at least a week before we get back up to Muskoka. I’m in Ottawa this weekend then back for The Queen’s Plate. In other news, I had some good things yesterday… I used to have a Red Schwinn cruiser bike that I LOVED. I rode that baby all over town for a coue simmers, Junction to Beaches and back. Unfortunately some jerk vandalized my bike and it was unridable, went to the bike graveyard. RIP. 2 years ago I purchased a new one from Bikes On Wheels, Queen West and it was stolen before summer was over. Last year I didn’t ride at all it made me sad. YESTERDAY, my brand new Schwinn Cruiser was ready for pickup. 🚲👍 Schwinn Canada has welcomed me as a bike ambassador and I’m back on the road baby! I’ve got a few things to add (bell, basket, lights) before we’re full time but one little cruise yesterday made my heart sing. 💛 If you stop by your local Shoppers Drug Mart you might see their new ‘Summer Covered’ Campaign. Next week I’ll be sharing some of my fav products for summer roadtrips and cottaging. I’ll also be featured on the SDM social + website. Received a shipment of this yesterday. Have you tried it yet? It’s Social Media Day today and in 2010 and 2011 I spoke at Toronto events. It’s amazing how social media has changed my life and taken…

Here’s to a GREAT Week!

Back in town and at the office today. Had a great week in Calgary. Might be off to Ottawa this weekend and looking forward to a day off mid-week for Canada Day. Can’t wait to spend some quality time at the cottage this month after a really busy May-June. Ditching city life for the wilderness. My happy place! Sending you sunshine across the internet and warm wishes for a great week. With 💛, CASIE

Off to the Races! Woodbine Oaks at Woodbine Racetrack

This weekend I went to Woodbine Racetrack for Woodbine Oaks, the first leg in Canada’s Triple Tiara of Racing, the prep race for The Queen’s Plate. I’ve been to the Queen’s Plate a few times and this summer I’m excited to partner with Woodbine Racetrack for the ENTIRE race season. I’ll be attending major races from from now till November. Better get some new hats! Since I’ll be at the races a fair bit, I decided to get a lesson in exactly HOW to bet and the fine details about horse racing. Some people pick based on names and numbers, which is ok (and what I had done previously). In my session learned about the odds, how they change, and Win-Place-Show. Picking a horse to win with 20-1 odds can really work in your favor! Grandad would be proud. Wish me luck! #OfftotheRaces pic.twitter.com/k2b5djXFpR — CASIE STEWART (@casiestewart) June 14, 2015 Both my mum’s dad and dad’s dad were really into horse racing, so it’s natural I like it too. When I lived in Australia, going to the horse racing was a HUGE thing. One of my fondest memories was going for a surf at Bronte in Sydney’s north beaches then rushing home to get ready for race day. Threw a friends dress on with my ocean tossed beach hair, grabbed a hat, and I was off to the races.  We had such a fun day. Paris Hilton was there too. This weekend I bet on a couple races and even won a few $$ back. It’s so exciting when the race starts and you see your horse leading the pack. Everyone is standing up and yelling, it’s exhilarating! The next big event is the Queen’s Plate on July 5th. It’s HUGE and one of the most stylish events of the summer. Last year, Sean and I raced home from…

Muskoka Photoshoot w/ Archibald Men’s Magazine

Working from the cottage today. It’s turning out to be an absolutely beautiful day so hoping to wrap up early and make the most of the sunshine. Garret is up with some models and crew shooting an editorial for Archibald Men’s magazine. I’ve been taking breaks from my work to ‘supervise’. Can’t say I mind having these babes around one bit! Hope you’re having a great Monday! Back to the city tomorrow so making the most of every moment here. ☀️ 😎✌ CASIE

Made in Canada: Bathing Belle Swimwear – CUTENESS ALERT!

Ok, this is a special post because I don’t usually post things with kids/for kids but after visiting the High Park Studio of Bathing Belle, I absolutely HAVE to share. I met Danica (the designer of Bathing Belle Swimwear) a couple weeks ago, we had a little hangout and she gave me a tour of her studio. She ALSO measured me for a custom made bathing suit. I’ve always had a hard time finding swimwear that fits, I’m fairly petite but heavy in the breast region. To be honest, finding a bathing suit that fits properly had been more like a nightmare. Last week I popped by the Bathing Belle studio to pick up my new, custom suit and good lord, IT FITS PERFECTLY. I know mum will be happy to read this because she was there during high school when I broke down to tears in the Bikini Village fitting room over nothing fitting right. Danica makes a great selection of women’s swimwear in gorgeous and fun prints, available on one piece, two piece, monokini, and mastectomy.  Excuse the hangers, I really should have taken those off! These are three of my favs. One of the cutest things ever are the matching mum/dad + kids suits. Burger and fries loving family? This one’s for you. Those are little onion rings with the burgers, ahhhh. Little scrunchies to match as well. Cuteness overload. Danica was recently at Dune Studios in NYC to shoot the kids suits with photographer Paul Wright. Art Directed by Ellen with Burnie, hair and makeup by Akiko Owada, kids suits look absolutely adorable. She gifted one of these little kitten suits for Embot (Sean’s daughter) and I can’t wait to see her in it. Is it too much if I get a matching one for the cottage?      Check out Bathing…

You’ll never be younger than you are today so make the most of every moment.

Last week really tuckered me OUT.  Fitting 5 days work into 4 days is exhausting. I spent most of the weekend relaxing, horizontal on the couch at home and at the cottage. On Friday night, there was nothing I wanted more than to stay on our couch, watch Jeopardy then a movie, and get a good sleep. Saw Lucy and Still Alice this weekend. Alice was very sad, Lucy was cool but didn’t actually make much sense. Took a few mins to chill in the sun on the 1188 patio Friday. The afternoon sun out back is perfect for taking a break from the AC or working from your phone as I so often do.  Modern millennial mama. ☀️💁 Walked past these dudes on Friday and found this amusing. Think they’re aware of the twinsies thing happening here? This stock image is ‘three guys matching w/ lunch bags’. Manicure was holding up nice on Friday but a weekend at the cottage is a sure way to ruin it. Will be taking part in Manucute Monday before tonight’s event at the Shangri-La w/ Maybelline Canada. 💅🏼 A photo posted by C A S I E S T E W A R T (@casiestewart) on May 24, 2015 at 8:32am PDT Feeling super relaxed after doing next to nothing but ride in the boat, sit in the sun, and watch movies yesterday. I can’t believe it’s almost June. I’ve got some fun brand partnerships coming up including a trip to Calgary with their tourism board. Also looking forward to Bestival and seeing Florence & The Machine again. Will definitely be taking a water taxi across to the island. The website says something about fancy dress so I’m thinking about wearing a costume instead of ‘festival wear’.   I’m off to Colette Grand Café for meeting and a bite. Lots to get done,…

May Flowers, Things are in BLOOM!

Started today with this crew directing my first 1188 project. Pretty exciting! It went awesome and now comes the next steps in the creative process of putting it all together. Saw this along Queen Street today, typical, hipsters, lol. Was kinda excited this morning. Directing is fun! So happy it’s May, my fav month! My birthday is in a week. Tomorrow is media day at Canada’s Wonderland and we’re opening the cottage this weekend too. See ya soon Muskoka! Expect an abundance of beautiful lake life photos the next few months. Went to a Kastor&Pollux party at Neubacher Shor Gallery last night. It was fun NO FUN!  Ok, NO FUN PRESS was one of the hosts so it was actually pretty fun. They had vending machines with stickers and stuff in them and I won a prize!   Made this super cute bracelet at the ALDO Shoes FW15 preview earlier in the day. More details on that soon. Heading to Bellwoods to meet the girls and practice our dance. We have 5 weeks until the show! Ahhhhh. Saw this and it totally reminded me of us. Can’t wait for our Pinup Picnic later this month! SO MANY EXCITING THINGS OMG. May flowers, things are in BLOOM, BOOM! Have a wonderful weekend! With love, <3 CASIE

New Shades, Patio Season, Parking, Sunshine, Wine!

Hello, hello, what a beautiful day! Put these flowers in the 1188 office yesterday to brighten up the kitchen area. It’s so nice to be working back downtown, vs last summer when I was up in the Junction. Wore these little adorable Lacoste oxfords and really hoped they didn’t hurt my feet come end of the day. You know how that happens every spring! The old summer shoes come out and your feet get all nasty lol. Picked up these glasses at a garage sale last weekend. I love garage sale season! Mum and I went to one when I was home a couple weeks ago.     Time to so something different with my hair soon. Not cutting it but colour. Have had blonde for months now, I’m ready to spice it up! *Note to future self, don’t get eyelash extensions again, your real lashes are beautiful. This was nice to see on our way to work in the morning finally, mobile payments! Thanks John Tory!  American and International friends, you will be happy to know we no longer have a crazy crack smoking mayor and our new mayor is quite swell. Was walking down Queen Street West and caught these two guys reading the paper in perfect form. Yesterday was SO NICE, the streets were packed. Went to a tasting at the iYellow wine cave w/ Vinho Verde wines from Portugal.      Nice to see Ken Samuel and meet the Wine Ladies. We had a great chat!    Thanks Re:Source Media, Angela Aiello (Executive Producer of CNBC’s “Wine Portfolio”), and the crew at iYellow for a nice evening. The wine was great too! In other news… Can’t wait. Planning to go to the cottage for my birthday weekend (May8th). I’m ready for a getaway! Hope you’re having a great week and enjoying…

Watch Me Tablescape It on The Design Network!

A couple weeks ago I was on set with Sarah Glynn to film an episode of Tablescape It, her new show on The Design Network.  We took a wooden tray with industrial handles from my place and incorporated it in a chic bar setup for an upcoming shindig at my place. S1 E1 Designer Sarah Glynn has a mission: to create an industrial-chic bar for lifestyle blogger Casie Stewart, who is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of her blog. Sarah finds inspiration in a rustic wood tray that’s special to Casie, setting up a one-of-a-kind bar complete with vintage bar cart, a DIY light installation and playful accents to help get the party started. My Bloggy Lies Over the Ocean

Oh hey, guess who? It’s me your friend from across the internet. Working away at the computer most the day. Monday is my ‘don’t leave the house and write as much as you can’ day. Spend a bunch of time sitting on the couch with my Macbook yesterday but fell into scrolling things on the phone, deep into a Netflix binge and did nothing from my To Do list. I find the weekends are really important for me to chill out. I used to blog every single day and it was really draining. Now, I aim for 5 posts per week and if I feel inspired to write a few more, good for me. The more documenting the better. Today when I did leave the house I was at Lit Espresso bar on Roncy and the staff were trying to name one of the girl’s blog. A staffer guy said ‘My Bloggy Lies Over the Ocean’ and I thought it was so funny, got totally distracted paying for my sweet treat. Title today inspired by that guy, good one buddy! These are my latest glasses from Polette Eyewear in France. I really love them, they sit high on the face and the thin frame is different than any other glasses I have. L’usine à lunettes by polette offers highly-competitive prices, no compromise on the quality. Frames from $9.99 to $49.99 and lenses from $9.99 to $89.99. I love that they have HEAPS of different selections. They’ve just launched E-Pollette, lenses that protect your eyes from screens. SO SMART. Ordering those next. OMG High On Life! More Hours In The Day, Please?

The last couple weeks have been kinda crazy and I’m feeling like there’s more where it all comes from. Last night’s rehearsal for Army of Sass was AWESOME. I’m stoked for our show. Are you coming? Get a ticket here.  I’m currently working on a slew of things including TWO shows. Ahhh! I feel like I’m constantly rushing around on high speed. I’m dreaming about opening the cottage and relaxing. I’ve got something cool to share with you tomorrow. Tonight I’ve got a dinner with Converse and I’m really looking forward to it. Meeting my sister shortly to shoot something for an upcoming project. It’s like I’ve spent 10 years working my ass off to try and build something and I feel it’s finally coming together. Come Friday after the show I’ll be SO ready for a cocktail to celebrate this week.  This art is by Mr. Brainwash. A good reminder that sometimes you may feel like you’re going the wrong way with your crazy ideas but you should follow them, you have a strong imagination. It will guide you! Here’s to the crazy ones! <3 CASIE

Sunday Magazine Selection: Wired, W, HouseBeautiful

The sun is shining, and I’m gonna head outside, make the most of the day. Spent the morning finishing up House of Cards Season 3 and reading magazines. I won’t share any spoilers but man I really love that show. Clair Underwood (played by Robin Wright) is amazing. I remember doing a magazine review a few years ago (2011) and putting a little cut out of my face on the magazine, funny. Finished S1 of Transparent on Shomi today. Good show. The music is really great. I’ve added NextIssue added to my weekend relaxation routine since starting the trial last month. I love reading magazines but buying a whole stack is 1) heavy and 2) expensive. This morning I  read Wired, W Magazine, and HouseBeautiful. I’ve been given a code from NextIssue that allows you to get free 60-day trial of the app too. Download NextIssue – Easy as 1,2,3! Click here -> bit.ly/1EaIH3L Enter code 60Free Enjoy! I love scar Jo’s hair right now and am still on that mission to grow mine out. Now that I made it through House of Cards without being influenced by Claire’s hair, I feel I’ll make it to a bob no problem. This *slight* winter warmup has be thinking about the cottage and what we can do this spring to make some changes around there. We’re building a new deck and I’d love to get some new patio furniture and curtains. There’s so many great design ideas out there. I’d love to get my sewing machine in action and actually MAKE new curtains for the cottage. These lamps are lovely. I’m sure there’s a Pinterest on how to do this in detail. It’s been ages since I made anything but I really want to this spring. (I feel like I say this every single year but this time I mean…

Spring Style Stories + Looks from #PFW

Now that spring is around the corner you can count on me mention it almost once a day. I can’t wait. A little warm up in the weather and there’s smiles all around. Love this Michael Kors skirt for Spring 2015.   I’ve been creating a story on the Selfish app  Storia App with a few of my fav things from fashion weeks, magazines, and around the web. Check it out here. Cim Cim has joined and added a few beauties, I’d love you to join too. I’ve been building a few other stories including Lights, Camera, ACTION!,  #NailGame, Netflix Addict, and Travel Adventures. I’m about ready to start up a Cottage Life story! Only a couple weeks till spring is fully here! 🙂 Did you hear that Zoolander 2 is on it’s way? Here’s a look at what went down during the Valentino show at Paris fashion week today. Here’s a few of my fav shows from the past week in Paris. Chanel always has a great show, brings something different to the traditional runway show. These gold pants tho. Love. <3 CASIE

No matter what you’re doing, do it with style.

I can’t express enough how writing a blog is like therapy for the soul. Also cheaper than a therapist! You help yourself by writing it, and being able to look back helps you move forward. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed but overall excited about things I’m working on. February is aways the most difficuly month, it’s so cold and SAD.  It’s not always rainbows and butterflies over here! I’m a real human. 🙂 This is my life… Was at St. Michaels hospital yesterday, I thought the hallway looked nice. Have had some chest pains the last while so trying to figure out what’s going on is one of my latest missions. Had an X-Ray the other day and was referred to a special clinic to book an ultrasound. Hospital gown chic. Remember, no matter what you’re doing, do it with style.

All The Girly Things Post on a Sunny Friday

First things first, HAPPY FRIDAY! Started my day with some work and an amazing croissant from Cafe Neon in my hood.  I’m all out of Tassimo so ventures out into the cold sunshine to treat myself.  I really love working from home and for myself. It’s been about six months and I’ve got myself a schedule. I can’t wait till summer when my schedule means staying up at the cottage during the week here and there and morning coffee on the dock after kayaking. I’ve started a new subscription with NextIssue, the Netflix of magazines and I love it. I spend so much time on my phone, and love magazines, but buying heaps and carrying them around is not practical for me. They’ve given me a code for you to get a 60 day trial (double the regular offer), visit this link and use 60free to sign up. Mum joined me at The Spoke Club for the press preview of Behind The Red Carpet film. Doesn’t she look amazing? Thanks for coming Mum! Love you. The film is on CBC’s doc channel 9pm, Feb. 23rd. I’M A JUNIOR MOVIE STAR! Ok, let’s not get carried away here. You CAN see all my film/tv stuff on IMDB tho. Let’s hope for more this year. I’m working on a few things and hope they pan out. You might be seeing even more of my face, if you can believe it. Are you on Snapchat? ADD ME OMG RIGHT NOW. You know I love short videos and this is your behind the scenes look at even more of my life and silliness and things I do in the day. You’ll not regret it. You’ll find me at: CASIESTEWART. Target Canada: For good times and bad times, I’ll be on your side forever mooooore!

Before I get to todays regulary scheduled news blog post I would like to take a minute to remember some of the great times I’ve had with Target Canada over the years. I have a few posts posts mentioning the brand and had the opportunity to work with them on a few things since they arrived in Canada. I’ve visited a store nearly once a week since one opened close to my house about a year ago. Did nearly all my holiday shopping there too! A photo posted by C A S I E S T E W A R T (@casiestewart) on Sep 9, 2012 at 12:28pm PDT Who remembers that AMAZING Target Lounge at World Mastercard Fashion Week a few years back??? Toronto has NEVER seen such luxury. And we probably won’t again tbh. It was marvellous. Food, open bar, two floors, charging stations, tables to work at, open every night before, after, and during the shows. I’ve never had such a great time at WMCFW. Oh behalf of media & bloggers, everywhere, thank you Target for showing us how to really go ALL OUT. Let’s not forget the recent Toms for Target collab. They sent out Together Sweaters to bloggers and media around North America to promote the collection. So cute. Keeping mine forever. This blanket from the Toms for Target collection makes a great poncho. Can’t wait to open the cottage again. Got my Instax Camera from Target this summer. Decorated our roof patio with Target things this past summer including items from the Oh Joy for Target collab. Target partnered with popular bloggers/Pinners to create a whole collection. Fashion File: #LillyforTarget, Joan for Céline, #mycalvins

Here we go, couple great fashion stories yesterday! I also had my hair done. Stopped into The Loft, Queen West and decided it was time to ditch the violet and bring back blonde. I love the decor in there, it’s all vintage and charming, the furniture,  old trunks, china plates, brass fixtures. Reminds me of Mum’s house growing up. I’m heading back there Friday afternoon for a Dermalogica facial. I’m addicted, I’ve been getting them on a regular basis for a year now. A photo posted by C A S I E S T E W A R T (@casiestewart) on Jan 1, 2015 at 10:23am PST Target announced their latest collab, Lilly Pulitzer for Target. The collection comes out April 19th AND Target Tweeted me IT’S COMING TO CANADA. I’m so stoked. I can’t WAIT to redo our rooftop patio and spice up the cottage Palm Beach Style. I’ve reached out to my friends at Target to see if I can get involved or at least front of the line on opening day. Read more about the collection in the release from Target here. Chalk this on the life goals board! Author, fashion icon, and one time Vogue editor Joan Didion was named as the new face of Céline at 80. You’re never too old to have great style! I love that they’ve made this decision. Read more about it on Vogue or anywhere else that reports fashion. Hey Ho Holidays! Wig out, Wear a Onesie, Smile!

We had Sean’s holiday party 1188 x Revolver Films X Bon Bon Mag on Thursday last week and come Friday I was so tired. This weekend I was getting ready to host a few friends over for a holiday hangout & secret Santa. We set up a photo booth and it was so much fun. Nothing like good times with great friends. I’ll have photos from both soon. Stopped into Philistine on Queen West, one of my fav stores. They burn these great cedar incense that remind me of the cottage each time I walk in. They have a huge selection of clothes, accessories, and I’ve snagged a few goodies from the sale rack. Spotted these tea cups at The Bristol at The Great Hall. Picked up meat pies for everyone at 1188 last the other day and thought they were so pretty. This art had been on the wall here for a while now. Makes me think about how much I’ve grown/changed. There’s been some neat experiences the last few years that have really shaped the person I am now. This is a bit of a ramble post. I blog to remember so it’s important I write things down, ok! Painted some pineapples and added glitter for my table display this weekend, Thanks Pinterest! Here’s a good article about Pinterest vs Real Life. It’s what happened when a woman tried to live the ‘Pinterest life’ for a week. Some learns, some fails, very exhausting. This was me at the end of the party on Sunday. Wig out, wearing a onesie with a smile. I’m pretty excited to see my family over the holidays too, Mum is hosting about 30 for Christmas dinner. It’s gonna be awesome! I went to the Shangri-La spa last week and it was amazing. Writing that post now so brb! <3 CASIE

Lifestyle | Weekend Session: ON

After a busy week I’m so glad it’s the weekend. Was at the cottage last weekend for Thanksgiving, then this week, New York City, Buffer Festival, SiriusXM, and had a movie come out on iTunes.  I’m on the couch, watching Netflix w/ my computer, and snacks. Basically heaven. I’ve got heaps of blog things on my list and there is nothing I’d rather be doing right now. Watched The Signal w/ Olivia Cooke & Laurence Fishburne last night. Great movie, sci-fi and futuristic w/ hackers. Found  The Joneses on Netflix today too. Just started American Psycho in spirit of Halloween. This week I found out Behind The Red Carpet documentary is now available on iTunes. Feeling Very Thankful. #ThankFALL

We had Thanksgiving up at the cottage this year and it was so great! We headed up north on Friday to spend time with Sean’s parents and family. I planned to do some work around the house on Monday but instead I slept in, relaxed, and watched Netflix. It was a holiday! Fall is a time of year we give thanks and think about what we’re grateful for. Target contacted a bunch of Canadian bloggers and asked us to share what we’re thankFALL for. Scroll down for a few of my favourite things and a chance to win a $250 gift card from Target Canada. FAMILY Sending love and hugs through the internet to my whole fam. So happy to be able to hug them or pick up the phone and give them a ring anytime. I recently went home to see my parents so I didn’t make the trek to KW this weekend but I’ll be back home to see them again soon. Much love to all my sisters and quite thankful for Facebook so I can see all my Kiwi cuzzies in New Zealand. Yay Internet! FRIENDS Lucky to have great friends around me! These are old photos of Lauren, Carly, Raymi, and Keri, our OG blog crew. We’ve had some rad times over the years! THE INTERNET I am extremely thankful for the Internet. It’s enhanced my life in SO many ways, I can’t imagine a world without it. We probably wouldn’t even know each other! I’m really happy that I’ve used the internet to document my life over the last 10 years. Hard to believe it’s been so freakin’ long!   MY LOVE Sean, this one’s for you baby! So thankful to have a wonderful boyfriend who is also my best friend. We love travelling, spending time at the cottage, or just sittin’ around watching Netflix. I…

Tech | Muse Headband + Google Cardboard

Last week I got to try out Google Cardboard. It’s a small Oculus-like box that attaches to your Android phone where you can experience virtual reality games etc. I went on a roller coaster ride and it was pretty trippy. You hold up the box to your eyes then move as if you are on a coaster, I nearly fell over! 1188 Films (Sean’s company) has been working on some pretty rad VR stuff for Oculus Rift and Google Cardboard. I ca’t wait to see what they come up with next. My love for technology knows no bounds. I volunteer to test out everything! I was trying out the Body Mind Change + David Cronenberg Oculus Rift experience and did not know what was going to happen… then, a monster popped out and I totally jumped and screamed. The office at 1188 roared with laugher at me. HAHA GUYS VERY FUNNY. My other latest technology toy is the Muse brain Sensing Headband. It’s been a neat journey so far trying to make myself relax. I may seem like a care-free, fun loving person, but TBH I can be really uptight sometimes! This is a snapshot of my (lack of) calmness last week on Monday right in the middle of TIFF. The second photo is Friday afternoon, post TIFF. HUGE DIFFERENCE. I’m going to test out my cottage calmness this weekend. You unlock different milestones the more calm you are. I’m going for a SERENITY NOW mentality. After I did a session on Friday last week I took the streetcar. A man across the car was playing his music loud, like NO HEADPHONES loud. The driver even yelled for the person playing the music to turn it down. It took every ounce of my patience to hold it together, it is so frustrating…

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

I love this time of year. It really does feel like a second spring with the change in air and trees. It’s a bummer to leave the summer but winter is a time for work.  It’s my most creative time where I hibernate and cultivate ideas. Movies, binge watching shows on Netflix, writing, and cooking. Drove up to the cottage after work on Friday. It’s crazy that we can roll up here on a long weekend and hit no traffic, then, at the end of cottage season we still managed to catch some coming up Friday. There’s this one great spot just before Barrie where 104.1 The Dock kicks in on the radio and the sky, if you can catch it looks so magical. A photo will never quite capture it but you can imagine. Woke up like this, actually. Thanks to my babes at Untitled&Co. for my sweater! I’m shooting my favs from their store next week. My hair is wild when I wake up and with this new violet colour, I think it looks rad when it’s mad! It’s been a week since I had the colour put in and it’s got that grey feeling again. Autumn <3 The wifi at the cottage is faster than we have at home. It’s so beautiful and relaxing. Made a nice brekky  on Saturday morning w/ Martha Stewart style fluffy eggs. One of my fav things about cottage life is all the cooking! I spend heaps of time whipping up things in the kitchen. I’m taking a class on food photography at Henry’s next week so perhaps I will get into sharing some of my culinary creations. Had fireworks last night. This morning was so misty. There’s magic in the air. One of my fav things about Sunday morning is the Will and Grace marathon…

#TIFF14 Bang Bang Baby Premiere

On Monday night I joined Sean for the premiere of Bang Bang Baby.  The feature debut film is directed by Canadian Jeffrey St. Jules. It’s a surreal, fever-dream fusion of small-town musical and 1950s sci-fi. The event was at Spice Route on King West. Thanks EXPRESS for this shirt + pants I paired w/ my fav Rudsak leather jacket and clutch from Banana Republic. Sean (Visual Effects producer) posing w/ Bang Bang Baby producer Don Allen. Fun night but going on on a Monday sure takes it’s toll! Here’s to a couple more days of TIFF then R&R at the cottage. In other news, how much do you love these? Blue suede boots from Shelly’s London X NastyGal. I got dinged on customs, $60 but I caved and picked them up from the postie anyways. LOVE. <3 CASIE
