View PostI can’t deny for even one second how excited I am about the Royal Wedding. I know it’s cheezy and I’m not one for wedding talk but I love this. I really do. I’ve told you heaps of times how much Mum loved Diana and my middle name is ‘Diana’ after her. This wedding guys, it’s just, so MASSIVE. MASSIVE not just in the guestlist, dress or whatever, I’m talking security and the footprint this baby is gonna make on the internet. It might explode. The engagement was announced by on Twitter by the British Monarchy and since then the online prep for the wedding has been huge. You can catch the big event Friday on youtube’s Royal Channel or traditional tv. Have some fun things planned in spirit of the royal event. Wednesday is high tea at The Windsor Arms with She Does the City, O’Nizzle & Raymi will be there too. There’s only 30 people and we’re in the tea room. Looking forward to everyones outfits. I might wear one of these vintage numbers Jenie & I rocked during Fashion Week circa 2006. Friday morning I’m stopping by my old work at 299 Queen for The Marilyn Denis Show with my client Shelly Purdy. Shelly is giving away a diamong ring on Facebook here. Go enter to win it. View PostI get asked about these tights often. Adrian Hailwood gave them to me last year at NZ Fashion Week. I love them! This is what they look like up close: They’re all one piece. I need a serger, maybe I could make them? Maybe I should dedicate one whole day to NOT internetting and actually making stuff. Like remember Zoey? I have heaps and heaps of art projects piled up in my mind. I wish I had a cottage on the island or a boat with all my art things on it. I would sail into the lake and make things. Then, after I created a mass amount of those things with paint, marker & glitter everywhere I would come back and share it with the world. View PostI don’t go to music stuff that much. Last night I went to the Dakota Tavern, do people call it Dakota Tav? Cause they do that down under and it seems cooler. [ Retracts hipster comment.] I love live music and crowds and spinning around on the dance floor or (even better) in the grass. I reckon I start going to more. So fun. Music was fun. Atmostphere & company funner. Sometimes I really wanna be in a band. Shiny disco balls. BE NICE OR LEAVE. Be nice, it’s so much fun. I used to live near this place on Dundas, by the 7-11. I was reminded of The Red Wheelbarrow. so much depends upon a red wheel barrow glazed with rain water beside the white chickens. We had a chuckle that this kinda looks fun, not like “DYING” more like pushing. Time for a new diagram. This one is funny. I love poems. I have a passion for publishing poetry and allitertation. They were from the book of Gord. I can hear seagulls outside. Wasn’t that storm today wonderful, more than. I am trying to eat breakfast more. I hear that’s what healthy people do and I wanna be one. To me, social media IS an art. Sure you can get ‘formula’ for peak times to tweet or try to follow a ‘method’ but that doesn’t mean shit if you’re not creative. If you’re not artistic with your message (whatever or wherever it you’re selling it), people ain’t gonna buy it. You will be more successful in this new industry if you take risks and be artistic. View PostI could feel it coming on last night and should have done this before bed. It’s ok, one day of Mum’s remedies and I’ll be all better. Have a sore throat? Want it to GTFO of your life? Here’s watcha do. (Mum, GTFO = get the fuck out) Get some ground sage and 2 large mugs Boil the kettle Put sage in mug, pour water over Let sit until sage sinks to bottom and it cools down Strain tea into another mug leaving sage in mug 1 Make sure it’s not too hot Go gargle with it Repeat all day Feel better Mum had us do this as kids and because of it we hardly ever missed school (thanks Mum!). BTW Sage will also soothe hurting gums, cankers, irritated larynx and vocal cords. While you’re in the kitchen boiling that kettle, throw some fresh ginger in a mug and drink it.
