borderline artistic strikes again

See these two babes (no not me) Chantelle & Alana! They know me longer than you or the internet! OMGCANYOUBELIEVEIT. Chantelle and I danced together when I was 3+ years old. Alana lived down my street and used to play with u. She also used give us her old clothes. It was AMAZING to hang out the other day. They both say HI MUM! Mum, please try & ring me tonight. I miss you heaps & have so much to tell you. If you see glitter like this somewhere, you know I was there. Borderline Artistic. Look at this sad sight. Swan on a pile of garbage down by the lake. Heart break. Weather has been so lovely the last couple days. Today is an exception, kinda chilly out there. MORE GLITTER. BORDERLINE ARTISTIC STRIKES AGAIN. We were chillin’ and all of a sudden CP24 Breaking was there to do a story. No, not on me. Two mins later SF News was there. That’s Sweden. There were there filming this tall glass of water, here he comes. Voila! He’s playing TFC on Saturday. Jonathan, do you know his name? Something like Stephen or Stephan Fry. Then I tried to ride this bad boy but my feet couldn’t really reach the pedals making it nearly impossible to ride. Chantelle is taller so she was fine. I have to go get ready for class now. That sounds funny. I’d love to teach a class. Would you take it if it was a Sat. or Sun. afternoon workshop? Maybe I’ll put some more thought into that idea. I love teaching and talking. the royal wedding live on @youtube

I can’t deny for even one second how excited I am about the Royal Wedding. I know it’s cheezy and I’m not one for wedding talk but I love this. I really do. I’ve told you heaps of times how much Mum loved Diana and my middle name is ‘Diana’ after her. This wedding guys, it’s just, so MASSIVE. MASSIVE not just in the guestlist, dress or whatever, I’m talking security and the footprint this baby is gonna make on the internet. It might explode. The engagement was announced by on Twitter by the British Monarchy and since then the online prep for the wedding has been huge. You can catch the big event Friday on youtube’s Royal Channel or traditional tv. Have some fun things planned in spirit of the royal event. Wednesday is high tea at The Windsor Arms with She Does the City, O’Nizzle & Raymi will be there too. There’s only 30 people and we’re in the tea room. Looking forward to everyones outfits. I might wear one of these vintage numbers Jenie & I rocked during Fashion Week circa 2006. Friday morning I’m stopping by my old work at 299 Queen for The Marilyn Denis Show with my client Shelly Purdy. Shelly is giving away a diamong ring on Facebook here. Go enter to win it. the hailwood tights – green & blacks

I get asked about these tights often. Adrian Hailwood gave them to me last year at NZ Fashion Week. I love them! This is what they look like up close: They’re all one piece. I need a serger, maybe I could make them? Maybe I should dedicate one whole day to NOT internetting and actually making stuff. Like remember Zoey? I have heaps and heaps of art projects piled up in my mind. I wish I had a cottage on the island or a boat with all my art things on it. I would sail into the lake and make things. Then, after I created a mass amount of those things with paint, marker & glitter everywhere I would come back and share it with the world. Back to the tights, I’m thinking about getting some over here. Would you be interested? BTW Great photo Isaac 🙂

music: first time at @TheDakotaTavern. yeah, really.

I don’t go to music stuff that much. Last night I went to the Dakota Tavern, do people call it Dakota Tav? Cause they do that down under and it seems cooler. [ Retracts hipster comment.] I love live music and crowds and spinning around on the dance floor or (even better) in the grass. I reckon I start going to more. So fun. Music was fun. Atmostphere & company funner. Sometimes I really wanna be in a band. Shiny disco balls. BE NICE OR LEAVE. Be nice, it’s so much fun. I used to live near this place on Dundas, by the 7-11. I was reminded of The Red Wheelbarrow. so much depends upon a red wheel barrow glazed with rain water beside the white chickens. We had a chuckle that this kinda looks fun, not like “DYING” more like pushing. Time for a new diagram. This one is funny. I love poems. I have a passion for publishing poetry and allitertation. They were from the book of Gord. I can hear seagulls outside. Wasn’t that storm today wonderful, more than. I am trying to eat breakfast more. I hear that’s what healthy people do and I wanna be one. The colours match; soft pink, orange, pretty. Glowing.

It is a sight to be seen, a scene worth attending. Magnificent in nature. Impressive in size and appearance. Majestic, dignified, grandeur. Painters, painting. In the middle of an open room… …where people look and stare. I liked this one. This was a naked man in a stairwell (painting). Did not win. He asked people walking by “how do you spell descending?” it was charming, so innocent and real he was. I live for realness. This is Simon. He’s my friend who is good looking smart, tall, and fun. He is single and I would love one of my friends to date him. He did not pay me to say this. He is one of the inventors of Art Battle/awesome. My clean room is so incredibly sunny today. Can I tan through the windows? It sure feels like it. Oh summer, I miss your love. They’re back together. She got her Ken. I told you love was in the air. #swoon ♥ Happiness: Mum, a good fortune and the eight of hearts. Eights & hearts are my fav. I got a bouquet of tights from the spring line for Secret Legwear yesterday. THANK YOU! I’ve been wearing tights Secret sent me all winter and to be honest, they have lasted, washed & worn really well. Casie stamp of awesomism! Considering I hardly EVER wear pants, getting these is HUGE for me. Shared a pair with my darling roomie @itsbrownbarbie. Things are better when shared, happiness for you, for you, for you, for EVERYONE! Was given a very special painting yesterday wrapped in this very special paper. I’m the luckiest girl in the world! Weeeeeee. Since I demolished clothes mountain and turned my once closet back into a bedroom, I’m finding all kinds of gems that were hiding. Did you know I was nominated for a YTV Achievement Award in 1996? It was the first award show I ever went to. I saw Robyn, met Nick Lachey (w/ 98 degrees) and didn’t end up winning. It was an honour to be nominated 😉 Pretty much nothing online about them now, it was before internet was really mainstream. The reason was nominated was for that book I wrote. To me, social media IS an art. Sure you can get ‘formula’ for peak times to tweet or try to follow a ‘method’ but that doesn’t mean shit if you’re not creative. If you’re not artistic with your message (whatever or wherever it you’re selling it), people ain’t gonna buy it. You will be more successful in this new industry if you take risks and be artistic. Everything I have done/do to build my brand is driven by creativity. Debate winner: Rob Campbell aka @smojoe! down with the sickness: part two #throat

I could feel it coming on last night and should have done this before bed. It’s ok, one day of Mum’s remedies and I’ll be all better. Have a sore throat? Want it to GTFO of your life? Here’s watcha do. (Mum, GTFO = get the fuck out) Get some ground sage and 2 large mugs Boil the kettle Put sage in mug, pour water over Let sit until sage sinks to bottom and it cools down Strain tea into another mug leaving sage in mug 1 Make sure it’s not too hot Go gargle with it Repeat all day Feel better Mum had us do this as kids and because of it we hardly ever missed school (thanks Mum!). BTW Sage will also soothe hurting gums, cankers, irritated larynx and vocal cords. While you’re in the kitchen boiling that kettle, throw some fresh ginger in a mug and drink it. a love note

Sometimes I feel like I need a break, from you, Internet. It’s not you it’s me. I get overwhelmed by just how intense our replationship is. We’re always together. We know what each other are up to, where I am, who I’m with, where I’m going and everything I’ve got planned. You know all my thoughts left in drafts and all the things I didn’t say. The next week is full of work so it’s not the time to make any changes in our relationship just yet. The week after that I’m going to San Juan for a week and I want to take a break. I hope you won’t be upset with me. I’m gonna take that week to reflect on all the things we’ve done this year. There is so many. I was just thinking about how each day of our lives together has been documented and I want to cherish that. Do you ever go back and look? After our ‘break’ we’ll have missed eachother so much that we can get started fresh again and take on the new year. Love, I’m taking you to LA for a week over New Years and we’ll be spending lots of time together there. I can’t wait to show you where we are staying. You will love it. Jenie is coming too and we’re all gonna have a blast. You know I can’t quit you. XO CASIE

Remember my art blog borderline artistic? I post drawings and paintings and poems and stuff. This afternoon I’m attending this Amex ‘Digital Canvas’ Media Challenge. I made this with the Amex FB app. Whatta ya think? You have probs seen the ads but you can make one too here. It’s a big media shindig where people paint (yes me) and money gets donated to United Way. There’s a a chance to win a trip to NY, gift cards, an iPad. I really want an ipad please. In prep for the art show I browsed a few old things I did for inspiration. Perhaps I will recreate something I did years ago? Well, it really depends on the paints and the setup. You know when you’re being all emo and it rains like it did today? Yeah. Meh, ok now and then. Didn’t last too long. I saw a rainbow and was tweeting friends about waaaahmbulance and Randeep drew & tweeted this. Totally RAD-deep. I love drawings. I drew the advice below. If it rains again I am totally going for a walk. Lazy watching In her Shoes movie and doing stuff. At the end Cameron Diaz reads this beauty at her sister’s wedding. It’s one of my favourites. Worked on some of your requests for additions to the Unnecessary Wheels Collection this week. I love making things. It’s a lovely break from the internet to draw and a whole different joy sharing online after. Still thinking about that art show. Some things in life you need, some are just unnecessaary. This is some of my recent work in my Unnecessary Wheels collection. More coming soon… Breanna requested a cheese wheel. Drew tweeted he was missing an orange balloon. My floor is covered with markers and pastels and sketchbooks. Among the analog art supplies is the flip cam, camera, phone (with cam, netbook, monitor, it’s a creative geek heaven. Love. I started this project about 2 years ago is starting to pick up speed. now i see quitting in a whole new way

I want to wear this hair so freeeeeeeeeeeeking bad. iwanagagawig. Funny story is, I heard this phrase a while ago. A friend did motivational talk at a kids school and one of the kids had written it on one of these little foam hands. “now I see quitting in a whole new way”. Hilarious. All the kids made them as a thank you I think. I have it around here somewhere but storytelling is more fun than room cleaning. Now it’s bad commercial to quit smoking weed and cigs. Every time it comes on TV I just think of that kid and smile.
