The Blondetourage! Blonde blogging babes Keri & Lauren. The Art of Marketing yesterday was really great. I enjoyed the speakers. Each one made their presentation very personal to the room and to Canada. Gary, Jeffrey and Guy were my favourite. It was a pretty rad day. I was interviewed by The Biz Media & My City Lives for the event video. We like to blooooooooooog. (That’s how you say it right Keri Blog? ;)) Keri & I crashed the Mining Conference. Cruised riiiiight pas security. You are gonna see more of this. I live right next door. I have no idea why I am not crashing more conferences. If you know one I should attend, LMK. We lingered behind this set and were on BNN. Did you see us? It was so sunny & pretty out. Oh, how I so love sun. Then I saw this unit penix Fenix. I was hoping to Chilean Miners were there for autographs and photos. Are they still famous? Maybe their run is over and they have gone back to work now. Quite a structure though. OMG I would not like to be a miner, I’ve never been in a mine have a I Mum, Dad? What about the Sudbury one? Then is was timne for Guy Kawasaki‘s talk to close out the day of TAOM. I snagged a VIP seat up front w/ Michael. Look, GUY. He talked about how to be enchanting. I was waiting for my photo to show up in the presentation. He was really nice. The other night I was at Century Room for a music video shoot. Was chilling with a bunch of babes/models/friends: Jo, Jess, Me, Grace & Lilly. You are so cute JoJo. Renee, Kevin & her cute friend. (R-L) Jo dancing in the back, Jess txting in fur. I lost count on how many fireworks/bottles there were over the course of the night. We had a great time, I ended woke up with a killer hangover. Casie Sheen, aaahaha. My friend JD Howel was shooting the video, check out this awesome footage he shot of the Shuttle Discovery on a plane the other day. It’s now on MSNBC. To me, social media IS an art. Sure you can get ‘formula’ for peak times to tweet or try to follow a ‘method’ but that doesn’t mean shit if you’re not creative. If you’re not artistic with your message (whatever or wherever it you’re selling it), people ain’t gonna buy it. You will be more successful in this new industry if you take risks and be artistic. This is true. Remember that one. Rumor has it you can find this written all over the city. Positive grafitti is my fav. Hearts too. Well, hello there Hi I was heading to a research place where I ate this for lunch. Basically selling little bits of my brain to mordern science. I am so very diverse in my skill set. You have no idea, I got mad skillz. We followed Starbucker with a visit to the Toy Store. Look what I got, a sheep, baaaaaaa. She loves it, Hello Kitty. This is worth a few good laughs. A couple years back I worked at Hemingways in Yorkville. I knew Martin the owner (a Kiwi) and thought as a New Zealand person they really should hire me. They did. I loved working there so much. It was really fun, the people were awesome and I made good tips. I was there during film fest time which is the best time to be there. We had a very fun time. Eli was great cause he offered to take our photo but he had no idea what he was getting into. After about 10 photos, he got it. Raymi played me Bad Romance on the jukebox. Have you heard mama monster’s new jam Sheibe? She says “I don’t speak German but I can if you like”. Hence title of this post, perhaps you made the connection already? This is the happy face of me talking about New Zealand Mountains with another kiwi. Annnnnnnnd we’re back. Eye spy Raymi has the camera. Nice new cards BTW. black clothes, black boots, cold air, warm heart

Lookin’ rather tall & skinny here eh? Tall, deff not but I have been going to the gym at a regular pace. Look out summer, imma kill you this year. Yesterday I wrote this post and poured my heart out about the funeral but then I lost it. I mean, I lost the post not my mind. I attended a very public funeral yesterday afternoon, the largest Tornoto has ever had. It was for Sgt. Ryal Russel who was killed last week in the line of duty. These guys faces, there’s so much happening in this photo. The last time I saw so many police it was the G20. I will never forget that experience. Remember when I dressed like a riot girl and went right into the madness? This was the most embarassing (or hilarious) G20 moment: I love the way the police/ambo/fire look together in their uniforms, all standing in a row. Luckily this time there were bag pipes playing and no riot gear. Despite it being a funeral, the air felt warm and people seemed pleasant. It was clearly a reflection of how great Saregant Ryan Russell Was. I learned quite a bit about him in the last few days and he seems like an all around stand up guy. CP24 even said he “looked good in uniform”. There were so many Tweets about Ryan Russell. I wonder how he feels about the mass of people, road closures and media coverage of the event. I notived a bit of controversy about that. It HAS been almost a decade since our city lost an office in the line of duty. Who am I to say what is appropriate for this kinda thing? There were over 14,000 uniformed people walking the streets. It was quite a sight to see.…

the only blue is the sky above cause we’re covered in sunshine here and here Who leaves those big footprints? I wish I could walk on water. I should go to the island soon. I was thinking I missed the beach and the sunshine so I went to the urban beach, sat in a muskoka chair and felt the sun on my face. I kicked around some snow, found the sand below and even only if for a minute, I was reminded of summer. Did you know there’s actually a formula for ‘why’ today is the ‘ most depressing day of the year‘. Crazy talk. I always thought it was some time in February but maybe that’s high suicide day or something. According to a press release by a mental health charity, the formula is: where weather=W, debt=d, time since Christmas=T, time since failing our new year’s resolutions=Q, low motivational levels=M and the feeling of a need to take action=Na. ‘D’ is not defined in the release, nor are units. Sabrina was in NY for a couple days and she brought me back this little special robot guy. So perfect for me. There’s a heart in the other side of the diamonds. Expect to see it in regular rotation. Thanks Beans! I told Sabrina I want to walk to the island when the lake freezes over. She told me that won’t happen and I’m not allowed to anyways. Thanks MOM. I snapped this guy and I’m not even sure what to say about his style and hair. I found it intersting. Fashion district has a pretty mesuring tape on the sidewalk. Had lunch with a friend at Le Gourmand today. I don’t usually share my food but my sandwich was totally delish delish. Chicken curry, yum. Thank goodness for FB, a package was delivered to my old work at CTV and a friend in shipping sent me a wee note. I’m yet to go to the Tim Burton exhibit. Would anyone like to take me? I’m a good date. what’s in the box you ask? One of my darling friends Monika saw I was not feeling better and sent me a whole pack of vitamins from Swiss. Ok I just made up that remix… Tonight, for the first time in about almost 400 years we’ll get to see a lunar eclipse (think seriously how long that is? whoa mang). Listening to the news now and Global says Canada is the best place to see it. Starts for Eastern Canada about 1:45 am. The moon will turn redish which will be really really neat. Super cool part about tonight is it’s happening on the Winter Solstice, for the first time since 1638. WHOA science!! I used to do these Friday posts that were called TGIF: Twitter, Google, Internet, Facebook. A roundup of some of my fav things from around the week this week. Guess what? I’m bringing it b-b-b-back. Here we go. Please comment, it’s nice when you share, I share, we share. Twitter: Influence. It’s a word that gets tossed around on the internet when talking about brands and people and ROI and social media but what does that really mean? The big draw I feel used to be traffic, if you had traffic, you had influence. Thanks to Twitter and a couple other sites, traffic on your blog is not the only way to measure. There’s more that come into play, attitude, reputation, audience. Brands want to connect with people that represent the same things they stand for, people who identify with the brand make it more authentic. (A word now totally over used BTW.) For example, Virgin America is a great brand match for me, I’m a cheeky little rabble-rouser, I like to have fun and I reckon Sir RB and I will make good friends. (P.S. we meet in Dallas Dec. 1st). Klout was recently featured in the Globe & Mail and I think what they are doing is great. I’ve been following all the news about Virgin Galactic since inception in 2004. I am amazed and inspired by it all. Richard Branson is the most inspiring man in the world to me. Hands down. No limits, no boundaries, ready to take on the world, the universe. Doing it. The fact that I get to meet him and be part of the Virgin Team is a dream come true. Got an email last night with the great news “Virgin Galactic Releases Exclusive Footage of Spaceship’s Historic Maiden Solo Flight.” This is SO EXCITING! HERE WE COME SPACE! In 2004 I sent an email asking if there were going to be flight attendants to space because I was ready to start training. For the record, there are not. VIRGIN GALACTIC PRESS RELEASE: The world’s first commercial manned spaceship, VSS Enterprise, which is being developed by US space tourism company Virgin Galactic, achieved its first piloted free flight on 10th October 2010 in Mojave CA. Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, who was present to witness the flight later described it as “one of the most exciting days in the whole history of Virgin”. He went on to say: “The sky is no longer the limit. We will now begin the process of pushing to the final frontier of space itself over the next year”. VSS Enterprise was described by Scaled Composites pilot Pete Siebold as “a joy to fly” and the company confirmed that all objectives of the flight were successfully completed. National Geographic Channel in the United States will be showing a documentary on the build up and preparation for the first flight of VSS Enterprise on Monday, 18th October at 10.00pm ET/PT.

This is my fav shiz right here – Jaffas, Minties, Pineapple Lumps (got them in the freezer), a dark chocolate Peanut Slab and a meat pie. I loooooove these guys, this stuff is New Zealand ledgendary to me. I will bring some home. It’s really fun to be a Canadian/Kiwi here for Fashion Week. I am stoked to see a bunch of shows tomorrow. Met lots of nice peeps this evening. Wore a dress by Canadian Designer Paris Li -looking forward to seeing what she says after I styled it up kinda different. It was #3 (see here) from when I tried on dresses at her place. You wont recognize when I show you tomorrow, I insist on being different. Meet my minder Venus Tong tomorrow morning at breakfast to sort out what shows I am attending. She is a babe. They have all day music videos on more than one channel. Remember when our music stations had that? It was my fav. Found this new song today by Kimbra on JuiceTV, their site is cool.
