Loved people walking by wondering what the heck this ‘pop up party’ was. Lights and music were in everyones eyes & ears. You couldn’t miss it. There was a lineup the entire night. The Blondetourage Does Baseball

Yesterday was an epic day for a ball game. O’Nizz, Keri, the boys and I were invited to hang out with our friends from Keek.com for Roberto Alomar Hall of Fame Day. It was awesome! Check out our box! Roberto Alomar was my fav player as a kid. I loved being there to watch the Jays retire his number and hear him speak. You are legend! Where’s Waldo? Can you see him? Two mounties walking behind. I had a huge crush on him when I was little. Remember how much of a babe he was? Swoon. He’s still pretty good looking TBH. I was fan girl crushing pretty hard. The entire stadium was PACKED. I heard the game was sold out! Whoa. His speech was very kind. My fav thing that he said was something his Mum always told him “be humble”. We had a ‘gay ol’ time’ singing “Take me out to the ball game”. I can only imagine how hot it would be to sit in the sun for the whole game. I didn’t see any umbrellas, are they even allowed? Probably not eh. Remind me to bring a huge hat if I ever sit down there. Hey there sports fans: Seany, Sammy, Ross. I can see my house! Two studs right here. Home run! It was Ross’ birthday. I can’t remember if we say HBD but we sure celebrated good! I’ve totally fallen in love with my new camera, Olympus Pen, you rule. This guy had two nipple piercings and a belly button. WOW! Got a lotta crooks tryna steal your heart… Loving this track. Thank you Spotify for recommending new songs I didn’t know. People in Canada be hatin’ that I have a Spotify account but TBH, I don’t care what you say. I LOVE Spotify! We biked to the beach yesterday. It was SUCH a beautiful for a ride to the East. Was totally packed. Surprised by how many peeps were in the water. It’s safe I hear. I jus’ dipped in to cool off. Sun was real warm. This dog had the hugest balls ever. It was shocking. Fo’ reals. Not even joking. Took James Dean with me but my Wind stick didn’t feel like working so we were offline. Phone was dead too which was interesting because I was 100% no communicato. I had great company and it was nice to take a tech break. I usually find it harder and start scratching or something. Haha. Today I’m hitting up the Jays game with Keri, Lauren & some peeps. “your passion” she said

This evening I got an email from a blog reader who recently moved here from England. She said she loved my passion for life. I was sitting at my computer looking at a list of things I should have done already and feeling slightly overwhelmed. Her few words changed my day. I don’t really share emails I get from people but sometimes they are inspiring, this was one. Thank you Ashley 🙂 I love GIF making and the internet. It’s amazing how we connect using it. Think, you are reading this right now. I wrote it after being inspired by an email that someone wrote to me after reading this very same location that we are connecting at right here again after they were inspired by something I did outside. Crazy isn’t it? Found this empty park place near Fort York & Bathurst the other day. Jumped around a bit. Posed for this photo and a plane was landing right behind me as I turned around. Neato! Remember how I always say “You are younger today than you will ever be again.” I’m reminding you to make the most of each day. Maybe there is someone you want to send an email to & thank them? I wrote a quick note to Mum letting I know I’m thinking of her. They are sailing somewhere near Virginia at this very moment. I bet it’s beautiful. It’s really warm out today. I’m not feeling motivated. I should go outside. I have work to do. I can have my office anywhere. Sand is bad for the computer and it’s hard to see in the sun. I need one of those screen shields for my computer and iPad so I can still use my units outside. First world problem. I’d like to spend more time organizing my circles on G+ but then I think why are you always on the computer? Go outside. Brought out a draft copy of my book for friends last night. It’s called JEANS and it was published when I was 16. Did you know I’m an author? You are reading the book of my life right now. U2 played here at the Dome last night (Rogers Centre). We could hear it from the balcony, now that’s VIP. So VIP that we’re not even in the building. Had a few beers on the patio. Haven’t been drinking much lately and it feels really nice. I forgot to have dinner and remembered today. Woke up starving, Australian made breakfast. I’d like to do a Twiggy inspired shoot soon. I’m thinking about growing my hair. I always say that but cut it off. The shave feels so nice. One video of me getting my head shaved has almost 15k+ views. There’s another show tonight and I will get a better shot. it’s important to have confidence.

This morning I shared a story about my childhood with my friends at Nella Bella. I popped in to say hello as I’d not seen them in a few and I love them. They made me retire my old most fav ever NB bag (tear) & hooked me up with a beauty new one. Thanks team <3 We were chatting about confidence and how important it is to have, especially for kids. We talked about dressing up our younger siblings and also how parents give their kids so much choice these days. What’s up with that anyways? [pause…here come the Mommy Bloggers. haha] When I was little Mum have me choice but not too much. She used to let me pick out my clothes and would lay two outfits on the bed for me to pick one to wear. Well, that wasn’t good enough for me. I’ve always been a creative so when Mum would lay out my outfits I’d mix them up together and make something new. One time I wore this orange shirt with green shorts and one orange/one green sock. Mum let me wear what I liked. One of the other Mum’s on our street said to her “Are you really gonna let her wear that?” All Mum said “If she feels confident wearing that then she can go for it!” Thank you Mum for being that way with me. She inspired a uniqueness that will never go away. Hope you have an awesome day. Do something nice for someone. It will inspire you 🙂 o

A Brief Look at Toronto Pride History

I’m IN the parade this year for ShaSha Bread Co. Love their ginger snaps & everything else. Gonna be amazing. I have to go early to learn our choreography for the show. Saw “Joe Canadian” at a recent Molson event. He’s cute. I’d like to be in a Molson commercial too. I love being Canadian. I’m gonna watch the fireworks from my place tonight. There’s a big barge in the lake near Ontario Place where they set ’em off. Pretty rad. First time they did that was last year I think. We tried to figure out for days what the thing was doing in the lake. Lots of activity happening at Harbourfront Centre too. Reckon the baseball game is about to start cause the cover band just stopped. I’ve been listening from my place to their tunage all morning. The blog days are over.

I went to bed fuming last night. Blood was boiling. I never tell you when I get angry, I think I’m going to start. To be honest though, it doesn’t happen too often. I had a few conversations with agencies & clients over the last few days that made me wonder what the hell I’m doing. Also made me wonder what the hell they are doing? I have heaps of PR friends in the city and I’m starting to wonder about those relationships. They’re in meetings coming up with all these expensive & fun campaigns for big name clients with the intent to do blogger outreach & connect with ‘top influencers’ but not putting any budget in the plan for that. Gimme a break. Do you work for free? Why should we? This morning I logged into WordPress (blog publishing platform), like I have done every day for years and had a different feeling about it. Last night after talking with Mum and friends, I didn’t know if I’d be back to publish today. I didn’t feel like it. Clearly, I am addicted to publishing and love writing so I’m back but I’m different. Every morning I read Mashable on Flipboard via my ipad and this morning they published an article that touches on exactly what had my blood boiling yesterday. Oh yeah. This week I’ve got a fashion show. Crystal Light contacted me and flattered me by saying I’m a “leading Canadian fashionista and social media maven” then asked me to be in their fashion show for the Crystal Light Purse Challenge. I get to meet a personal shopper and have a shopping spree at Holt Renfrew. OMGaga. I love fashion & style as you know. Remember last year when I was hanging out with NYC’s finest in fashion Nicole Miller & Derek Fabulous. Other babes in the show are Anita Sharma, Valerie Stachurski, Karla Moy, Erin Blaskie, Lisa Charleyboy, & Cammi Pham. Fashion show takes place Tuesday at Design Exchange, Stacey Mckenzie preps me for the runway, then I do hair and make-up. Gonna be fun!

You know I love Gaga. I’ve told you a bunch of times before. Remember the MMVAs last year? Kingi from Peach Berserk made me a custom dress with all the big performers on it: Bieber, Katy, Drake, Miley. I was excited. I worked with some really great people at Much & MTV last year, the MMVA experience is very memorable. My job was Social Media Queen and it was super fun to say the least. Blog post from MMVA Day 2010 is here. I’ve got a couple things planned for MMVA weekend this year. One is a party w/ Gaga’s DJ, Lady Starlight. 🙂 Starlight will be rocking The Velvet Underground (510 Queen St West) after the MMVA’s June 19 in Toronto. Doors open at 11. I have a list. TAXI Editorial Correspondent: ME!

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the 10th Anniversary of FITC in Toronto. This year’s event was held at one of Toronto’s premiere venues, The Guvernment. There was a charming 1950’s theme carried throughout the venue with cotton candy, bow ties, popcorn and fun decorations. Safe to say, it was a real experience being there during business hours! FITC (Flash In a Can) is one of the largest and longest running events of its kind. It brings together brings together a wide range of digital enthusiasts from around the globe. Attendees included Flash designers & developers, motion graphic artists, digital artists and anyone with an interest in Flash and/or digital media. The schedule for FITC Toronto was jam packed with over 70 presentation in over three days. At any given time there were four presentation happening in different rooms with another session in the voodoo lounge upstairs. Voter turnout in 2008 was lowest in Canadian History

I know you are really smart because you are here reading this. If you are in Canada you are even awesomer and today you have an election. You get to have a say in what happens in your country, our country. I don’t care who you vote for but please, PLEASE GO OUT AND VOTE. It’s so important. I rounded up a few things from the internet and I hope they inspire you to go to your polling station and PUT AN X IN A BOX. There is much at stake in this election. I read a good article about the ongoing election tweeting debate on canada.com “You can’t stop the tweeting folks“. Maybe we will change a law tomorrow? Do they really think they can put a lid on the information that is being released on the Internet on election day while efforts by other governments to control information in their repressive regimes are proving to be so ineffective? It’s as fruitless as trying to hold your ground while a massive tsunami rushes towards you.
