My friend and babe Anna Cyzon just released a new music vid for her song ‘Into the Sun’. I missed the launch event last week and planned to tell you all about it. We’ve always bonded over our blondeness and that we both used to work at MTV. Andy’s Illustrated Story of Inspiration

Andy Warhol, Selfie, 1979 Spent some time yesterday looking through this magical book I got a couple years ago called Andy Warhol Treasures: The Illustrated Story of Andy Warhol’s Life and Work. It’s an amazing anthology documenting his life with all kinds of artifacts, letters, report cards, photographs, stencils, and things that have been reproduced. I can’t remember the last time I looked thought and read all this stuff. It’s super inspiring! Some Artifacts from the Book Currently watching The Startup Kids doc on iTunes. If you’re in tech or an entrepreneur, you’ll totally relate to the film. Finding it as a great source of inspiration to start the week. I also just watched the video blog of a symphony flash mob. Video: Grey Goose Cherry Noir at Thompson Toronto

Last month the team at Community put on an awesome launch event for Grey Goose Cherry Noir. Despite the wretched weather that night, the event was a success. We trended to the #1 spot in Canada gaining a few million impressions for our client. It was my first big event with Community as the Director of Social Media and I was pretty happy with the results. People could tag their instagrams with #cherrynoir and have them print out at the event. It was so rad. i came home with a stack of about 20. There are smaller launch events happening in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa over the next few weeks. Day 2 of World Mastercard Fashion Week was pretty fun. My fav thing (as I already said) is seeing all my fashion friends in one place. It’s a riot to make laughs, see outfits, and have cocktails together. I saw three shows David Dixon, DUY, and Line Knitwear. LINE was my fav. Hailo Will Change Your Attitude About Taxis Forever

I took a Hailo to work this morning not remembering (you know my bad memory) that this episode was coming out today. Ha! I totally LOVE this app. It’s honestly the BEST way to taxi yourself around. Nella Bella FW 2013 Media Preview

This photo is from the FW 2013 launch for Nella Bella the other day. Sean & Brock, both so handsome. I’m glad I cut my hair too. Moto jacket is from Nasty Gal’s first ever collection (SS 2013). Obsessed with that site BTW (HINT HINT BIRTHDAY IS COMING). This private event , hosted by Nella Bella’s Creative Director Tarek Al-Azbat introduced to us and the media to many firsts for the six-year-old fashion house. New products include scarves, cowls, a PDA carrying case, multi-compartment tote and more wallets. I’ve had a few NB bags over the years and have literally worn them out by taking them around the world and on a zillion adventures. It was lovely to be there supporting Tarek and celebrating with my fashion friends family. I’d really like this big ol’ black one. It is similar to a style from a couple season back that I absolutely LOVED! Received quite a lovely gift in the mail from my love, Ted Baker London today. Was invited to be an ambassador for the launch campaign in Canada last year and I’m back for Spring! Latest app in my photo collection is DBLCAM. Uses both front & back facing cameras to take one picture, tell both sides of the story. It’s free. I love using multiple apps to make creative images. I was making collages of my face and text LONG before apps like Diptic (collage) and Over (text). Learn about those apps by watching my show on Coral TV (iPhonography/Overgram). Love the style Molly has in the Brat Pack movies. I am going to go shopping this weekend and buying myself some new spring clothes. I’ve been cleaning out my closet and have a huge bag to take to the Salvo for donation. Spring cleaning feels so good. View was looking pretty nice when I got home from work. I love daylight savings because it feels like getting done work an hour early. I watched the yellow eye of a storm move across the skyline for 20 minutes till the air was filled with hail. It was a great day for mail too! Opened this lovely tea package from Tetley to find a magical little tea pot & cup for all my teas. Thank you! Received a Fashion Week Survival kit from FLAUNT. CAT Footwear FW 2013

I bet when you see this thing at a construction site near you the first thing that comes to mind is not shoes? It’s ok, I would have never thought that EITHER! I own one pair of CAT boots (See: Stella in brown) that I’m wearing right now and have worn, walked, and biked in since they arrived in September. They might be the most comfortable boots I own. Prepare to be amazed by the CAT footwear’s 2013 collection. You will be wanting! I LOVE this little shoe. There are all for your boyfriend. These are wedges. Love! Heart a flutter over these little babies. And these too. Swoon worthy boot love. The Fermenting Cellar and various buildings in the Distillery are so lovely for their sheer beauty and oldness. I have a crush on this set of chairs. Reminds me of something Mum would have at our house. There are some really, really nice styles for men. These are for someone handsome & stylish. You risk being known as ‘behind the times’ forever. When it comes to memes, either get on that bus early or don’t get on at all. The viral video game is all about speed. Time Travel, there’s an app for that.

This was at Ottawa Fashion Week after walking the runway wearing Rachel Sin for the closing celebrity show. SO much fun. I totally remember taking this photo and laying in my bed with the sun on my face before going to work. I worked in Liberty Village for an online gaming & casino company. Made lots of good friends there. The thing I love most about his app it that it helps your memory. So many things happen in a day that it’s hard to keep track. Community Service

On Friday, March 1, some of the girls from Community Agency and I cleaned up Trinity Bellwoods Park over lunch. If you don’t know it, Bellwoods is in the heart of Queen West, between Strachan and Bathurst. It’s one of my fav places to hang out in the summer or bike through with friends. If you search ‘Bellwoods’ on my blog there are heaps of entries! March 1st was YWCA’s Big Day of Change, a Canada-wide day of action for young women to do something good in their community. Friday this week is International Women’s Day (IWD), an annual commemoration that began in the early 1900s. Our ‘Community Service’ was organized by my friend & Copy Writer Carlimia. She was featured on She Does The City earlier in the week with 12 women who organized events to make positive change. Thanks to Becca Lemire for snapping some shots too. We had so much fun doing this together that we want to make Community (Agency) Service a regular thing. It felt so great to be outside in the sunshine at the park again. I can’t WAIt for Spring/Summer to be out in the warm air. Luckily daylight savings isn’t far away! Do something nice for someone today. CAA and Life-Side Assistance Savings for You

Last week I got a CAA membership and I’m pretttttty excited about it. Why you ask? Remember having an SPC card as a student? Well, a CAA Membership is kinda like one of those for adults. CAA offers Life-side assistance in the form of savings and rewards from heaps of partners in North America. I’ve never owned a car but when I started driving my Mum had CAA memberships for both my sister and I. She didn’t feel safe with us on the road without knowing we had CAA, just in case something happened. You would not believe how many times it came in handy. I remember saying “It’s ok I have CAA” and getting a friends card towed, a boyfriends car towed, or saving the day when someone accidentally’ locked the keys in the car. (No not me, never!) I really enjoy driving and having a CAA membership makes me feel safer, especially for long highway drives. Would have been great for our trip to Austin for SXSW last year! Doh. Over the next couple weeks I’ll be sharing some of my shopping, dining, and entertainment savings that come with having a CAA Membership. I was honestly shocked to see just how many partners they have including a full service travel agency. I’ll be exploring that option in great detail. Most of all I’m looking forward to shopping discounts at Gap & Banana Republic Factory stores, finally visiting the Ontario Science Centre, and taking my BF out for a dinner and a movie. Big Brother where are thou? In Canada eh!

Last night I went to Slice TV/Shaw Media HQ for the premiere of Big Brother Canada. It’s the first time we’ve had our own season in Canada and people are going crazy over it. I watched one season religiously when I lived in Australia in 2004. I joined a bunch of media and seasoned BB Celebrity Dan Gheesling. No i did not eat this slop! Gross. A cup of berries did me just fine. There’s a great bar on the 16th floor lounge at Shaw media. I hope to go to more parties there. There was a Head of House (HOH) competition and it was hilarious how sad the competition was. Aaaaaand hat’s all I’m gonna say about that! I really hope this guy Peter wins. He’s already a YouTube star. I vote for the NERD! It’s pretty crazy/fascinating that you can watch the housemates 24/7 online. I remember reading 1984 in high school and being really interested. Doesn’t surprise me at all that I’m on the Internet writing about my life over a decade later. In other news, tonight is the Nella Bella Spring SS launch, then a party at ARD with Bud Light Platinum, and a Grey Goose Cherry Noir event at Bloke & 4th. Is it the weekend yet?! Saw this on the news this morning and had a good laugh. Michelle Obama is the coolest First Lady EVER. I’m trying to remember my Mum doing these moves as a kid. I’m sure she had a few, the snaps. I was probably showing them something amazing on TEH INTERNET. I’m getting so sick of winter. I want to ride my bike and play outside already! In other news, I cleaned James Dean, my lil’ 11″ Macbook Air last night using this program called Grand Perspective. It lets you creep inside your computer and see what taking up the most space. Somehow all kinds of my gmail.imap messages were saving on my unit and taking up HEAPS of space. I deleted them and now my computer is fast again. Get to know your data people!
