Received quite a lovely gift in the mail from my love, Ted Baker London today. Was invited to be an ambassador for the launch campaign in Canada last year and I’m back for Spring! This year celebrates the 25th celebration of Ted Baker London and they’ve got some fun stuff planned. For Spring 2013, Ted Baker London has launched a Finishing School. I loved this idea because I went to modelling school as a teenager, which was much like finishing school. Under Ted’s orders we’re all in detention this week. The first 500 lucky students to enter their line of the day through Twitter, Facebook or Instagram will receive a limited edition tote adorned with their line. One student will be chosen and rewarded top of the class by a fashion blogger for especially creative and inspired entries. Prize for that is a beautiful leather satchel embossed with their initials. Canada Votes | I Voted!

4:32.49 – how long it too me to vote this morning. Went early to avoid the rush, was done by 9:50! It was so easy. I had to replace my licence recently so took the paper one w/ my passport & voting card. Don’t get discouraged if there’s a crowd today, let it excite you! This is a big day for Canada and an opportunity for change in our awesome country. Dress up, take a selfie, go with a friend, go with your bae. VOTE! Today also marks the first day of World Master Card Fashion Week in Toronto so I dressed stylish and wore Canadian. Fur vest and jacket by Rudsak Canada, collar is Ted Baker London, book bag Zara, new boots Geox, vintage glasses. Hoping for change today! Make Time For Yourself

You only live each day once, tomorrow is a new day. How are you spending your time? A few months ago I was feeling really burnt out and over everything. I had no energy to go out, write, do anything creative. May was a really stressful month and by the time June/July rolled around I was stressed TF out. All I wanted to do was stay home, watch Netflix, my room was a mess, I’d piled up boxes and paper that needed to be processed. I didn’t have the energy to do it. So I rested. I took time to chill. I’m grateful for the privilege to mostly work from home, to work on myself, and to breathe. I started spending a bit less time on asocial, taking breaks. I began to really love seeing the + beside my name on IG Stories, showing I hadn’t posted anything in 24 hours. That felt like a win with me. I’ve been updating the internet for 15+ years about my life and what I’m doing, burnout is real and it’s ok to take a break. I thought about what I wanted (even though I’m constantly trying to figure out exactly what that looks like!) and I focussed on it. Made some other changes too. I got serious about drinking less and explored being sober curious. I even spoke at an event where I shared some stuff I’ve never talked about. I was hesitant at first but I figure, if I can make this change in my life, it might be helpful to someone else going through the same things. It was the first TIFF in 10 years where I didn’t get drunk, I didn’t even drink at parties. And y’ know what? IT WAS AWESOME AND I STILL HAD FUN. I started intermittent…

2017 Canadian International AutoShow w/ @VWCanada

Recently I went to the AutoShow with VW to check out what’s new for 2018. It was a PA day so people were invited to bring kids and pets along for the special event. I documented it all with my Snapchat Spectacles and they were a hit. You know how much I love tech and these things are rad, watch the video here. I’ve always loved cars, we spent heaps of time in the garage and hot rod workshop w/ dad growing up . It’s incredible how far car tech has come! Volkswagen is known for great performance, reliability, and safety, ‘a good German car’ as I’ve heard so many times. We were looking at the 2018 Tiguan Redesign, 2018 Volkswagen Atlas, and 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf. There was also another little one I just loved, scroll down to see! The event was hosted by Amber Mac, George Pimentel, Afiya Francisco, and Heather Davis. Amber of course talked tech aspects of the new cars, George took photos, Afiya talked about style and how your car fits your lifestyle and aesthetic. Heather is a family road trip expert and she shared how the 2018 Atlas was a great family car for travel, seats 7! The 2018 Tiguan Redesign is a great car for people who like adventure. I like the aesthetic of this car, it’s sleek but tough, you can tow a set of seadoos or boat (up to 5500 pounds) and pack all kinds of stuff in the boot. Perfect for #cottagelife! My fav was the VW Beetle Dune. A few people said this was a perfect car for me. I love a cute little convertible! Murray Christmas & More

It’s Christmas week, again already. Crazy to think how time flies, feels like I was just saying this the other day. (Omg how old am I? I sound like my parents!) Can’t believe it’s trench coat weather! Dug up this Ted Baker scarf today, reminds me of spring. Spent most of the morning driving around doing holiday things. Ford hooked me up with an Explorer for the weekend to help de-stress my holidays, and it totally worked. Dropped off stuff to donation centres, picked up something from Umbra, holidays gifts for the office. Learned how much a two-four of Jack Daniels is. See Snapchat before tomorrow for that one. The stereo in this Explorer Platinum is amazing, also heated massage seats w/ screens for back seats. In other news, I’m on the TV at Umbra. GO STOP BY THE STORE AND SAY ‘I KNOW HERRRRRRRRRRR’. There’s ton of gifts there and that’s why I was back today. I had about 30 favs to put in my holiday video but that would have made it too long so we went with top 10. Fashion | Love My Hood + Bench Canada AW15

I was invited into Bench Canada this week to check out the latest collection for fall winter. Was pleasantly surprised to see more fashion vs. athletic wear and less things with a big logo. I’ve been doing things with them since 2011 so this was fun. The girls in the store know me by now and I have a blast picking out clothes There is in fact a bench there. I think it’s new. And a selfie mirror. HIIIIII! I got all these things. Pants, shirt, sweater. I think they’ll be versatile pieces to mix with dressier items, layers, etc. Glasses are Polette.Phone case is Ted Baker. Necklace is by Shop for Jayu, remember I was in their look book a couple months ago? Oh heyyy, looks like somebody had a make out. Netflix? Chill? Right now if you spend over $150 or more you get 1 of 3 bags. Bench hooked me up with a nice gift card so when I got my total I didn’t feel too shabby shilling out. Gift for BF ✔️ A few years ago I hosted a room in the BHD Gifting Suites on MMVA weekend. It was fun. I hung out all day while celebs & media rolled through receiving gifts and hanging out. This post from 2011 has heaps of people you will recognize – Liz from Much/eTalk, Tyrone, Jesse Giddings, Jay Strut, Lissa Monet, Brock, Carly, Kardinal. Last September I had a shoot with Bench Canada + my fav fall items. Remember this? Maybe we’ll do that again. SiriusXM’s Canada Laughs & The Todd Show Shapiro Show

Hola! Man, it is HOT today. I was out and about, stopped by a cafe in Liberty Village to a break from the heat. I love this weather but when you need to get around the city and you’re carrying things and sweating and dripping, you just wanna go home/jump in a lake/pool/cold shower. Thomas Sabo AW ’15 Press Cocktail: LoveBridge + #CharmClub10

Last week I went to a beautiful event at Malaparte in side the TIFF Bell Lightbox. It’s a great event space that’s bright, with a bar, and theatre screen. I was last there for the Nike Women NTC training sessions earlier this summer. Media and editors gathered to sip champagne and check out the latest Fall Collection for Thomas Sabo. You might remember a couple posts about Thomas Sabo and my trip to England with the brand a few years ago (see here!). The brand is originally from Germany and is planning to open 6 more stores in the GTA. I had an opportunity to meet the founder in England in 2012. The Canadian flagship is at Yorkdale Mall. Thanks Ryan Emberley for this snap. I’m wearing one of my favourite Ted Baker dresses. They gifted us all with a customized Love Bridge bracelet from the new line. Mine says CASIE. I’m kinda wishing I got something a little more creative or inspiring. Next time. Thanks Ryan for this snap too. Love it. I saw the balloon, looked at him, and he knew immediately what was about to happen. After the event I was invited to an intimate dinner with bloggers and editors. We each had little cakes at our table setting and an invite to join the Thomas Sabo Charm Club. Over the course of the dinner we picked out charms to add to our bracelets. Mine’s been ordered and I’m looking forward to it arriving. Mostly because it will be a huge surprise given I don’t remember what I picked! Doh. Up Up & Away!

Today Sean and I travelled to Calgary. ✈️🇨🇦👍🏼 It’s been two years since I was in this fine city and I’m happy to be back. This week we’ve got a fun itinerary of arts & culture activities in Calgary. We’re shooting them all with Tourism Calgary and the video will be on their website once finished. Got a nice new mani and passport yesterday. We have 10 year passports in Canada now but I only renewed mine for 5 years so I can get a new photo! I know mum will have a chuckle reading this. 😉 One of my fav travel accessories, cosmetics bag by Ted Baker. Why does this July cover say Bruce?? Been loving this little shoes sent to me by Toms. The Huarache sandal is made in Mexico and comes in dove (off white) leather and black. They’re really comfortable. Pretty sure I had a similar pair as a kid. I love traveling together. 💛 We’re staying at Hotel Arts, a boutique hotel downtown Calgary. I stayed here about 2 years ago and since, they’ve put $7 million into renovations. We’ve got a beautiful suite with kitchen, balcony, living room, and 2 closets so we can have one each. Looking forward to a few days of fun activities. Shooting w/ NKPR, My Fav Shirt, Periscope from a Church

Last week I was on set for a day with MD Media and NKPR for an exciting TV project we’ve been working on. My first shoot day was about 2 weeks ago, remember I was on set with Tim Warmels (The Bachelor) here. This is one of my most fav shirts, picked it up at Philistine Toronto, Queen West last summer. We used a few of my things as props, beloved Ted Baker London makeup bad and Dermalogica products. I absolutely love their tinted moisturizer with SPF. It’s perfect for summer when you don’t have to wear as much makeup. The long thin tube is a tinted primer with SPF that’s great as well. I love being on camera! Those bright lights on the face feel so great. Been wearing these glasses heaps lately. They’re another steal from Polette Eyewear in France. Blogging + Brunch = Bon Weekend!

Started the day w/ a nice latte and brekky at Cafe Neon near my place. I was working on an exciting new project you’ll learn about over the next few weeks. Loving the new leather gloves from Danier I got on my mega shopping spree yesterday. I had to pop by Le Chateau to pick an outfit for an upcoming photoshoot so I rounded up gift cards from mall stores and went to town! FYI all the winter accessories are 50% off at Danier right now.
