Ola! Thursday is upon up and I’m feelin’ great. Popped over to #andomTO with Carly & O’Nizzle last night. Lots of familiar faces and a bunch of new ones.Aren’t we just the cutest? I look kinda meh but whatevs. Love. Carly blogged us too & took the pic. Vote for Lauren in the MMVA VVIP, last day today! Tonight is a Music Industry tweetup at Rovoli followed by me + my bed + tv + relaxing. Went to bed early last night, needed it. Bad. Feelin’ it again. Law & Order Long & Boring at 11 puts me to bed. Love this shirt Crabby got for me. The calculator says BOOBIES hehe. Remember how much fun shit like that was when we were kids? Oh man. Getting creeped out about the G20, there was grafitti by my place this AM and thinking of shippin’ out of the city to work from Mum or Dad’s place. I live in prime PROTESTER-hang area between two banks. Grafitti was on this subways thing. Red zone is the other side of the street there. Urgh… Not worth risking it if you ask me. Heard to day that wireless signals are going to be blocked in the area period & random too. Just what us NERDS LOOOOVE? I’d rather have no ability to leave my house for a week than have no internet. You can stack up on food but you can’t stack up on wifi. Started a new hashtag this morning… #FMN = fuck my neighbourhood. AAAAAAAAAAh! I’m ready for le weekend. Half day tomorrow ! WOOT WOOT! stopped having a bad day & started being awesome

I love Twitter for so many reason but one of them is this…FRIENDS! Friends that are always there to cheer you up because sometimes a little thing happens to steer you in the wrong direction. Today I kinda got off to a bad start and naturally, I tweeted… then before you know it my friends popped out of the internet, took action and typed me some sunshine. You can’t get that type of widespread instant happiness anywhere else. I tried to take a pic of my outfit but it’s impossible with a phone camera. I really miss having my camera. Don’t you miss my outfit shots? Well, I do and that’s really what matters here. I’ll get a new one soon. Maybe this week. Anyone have a hookup with Canon/Kodak/Camera Store? I’ll love you forever just like I love Telus for hookin’ a sista up with the most amazing phone, Motorola Milestone. Lots of meetings today which means time is very valuable! Damnit, if I didn’t already work here, I’d be alllll over this shit. I’d love to see a show about hot bloggers, think Sex & the City vs. The Hills vs. something really nerdy & cool. Spent the night at work tweetin’ away as @mtvcanada and watching the MTV movie Awards. Feelin’ lucky that this is my job, I would be tweeting the show from my personal account given this wasn’t my gig so it’s pretty awesome. Was NOT impressed with Xtina’s weak performance, Katy Perry was good. I love her so much man, she’s so hot. Tom Cruise was hilar with J.Lo. There was a bunch of swearing which was a shocker but funny. I’m taking Friday afternoon of this week and coming in late tomorrow morning. I’m gonna get a bit of work done tonight for Carly (my agent) before I hit the hay. Ok nighty night. Feelin’ pretty tired. Looking forward to sleeping in! xo

DO YOU HAVE A GUN MISS?

So yesterday I had a really intersting experience going through customs before leaving YYZ. I was very smily and dressed kinda cute as I approaced the dreaded security check at the airport. It always scares me for some reason, there is just something about all the turnstiles and other crowd control measures that puts me on edge! I do understand how important these security checks are though, and after reading this website about security turnstile here I probably know much more about airport security and turnstiles than the average person! Hence, I was extremely pleasant as I emptied all my gear intot the tray, laptop, shoes, small bottled liquids. I was pretty excited to step into the body scanner. It was my first time flying since this had been implemented a few months ago after the underwear bomber. No problems with the body scan but as I turned around it seemed a couple security guards were puzzled by something in my suitcase. First thought, they saw my ‘Hitachi massager‘ and they’re gonna give me a hard time, second thought, my corsets with metal boning have them confused. Neither was the case and as one security guard after another, followed by several police officers went for a look, I began to get scared. WTF are they looking at? I tried to be positive about the whole thing and deffinitley not get emotional. Crying would only make this worse, “keep smiling & don’t look scared” I told myself. A secutiry guard and police officer begun filling out paper work and the questions started coming. Where do I live, what do I do, where was I going & why. They could tell I was getting worried and told me to stay calm, so I tried as my hands were getting real sweaty and…

shopping is more fun with a drink in your hand

Yesterday’s mini dress is one of my favorite purchases from Apt. 909. I’ve had it for a couple years and it was in the kiddie section! I matched with my very loved vintage cowboys I picked up at a little shop in Bondi, Australia. After work I attended the Notable TV RW & Co excluuuuuuseive opening party at the Eaton Centre. I rolled up with Carly, (Fairlie Agency) & Reggie (GotStyle Menswear). Carly and I both have fresh shaved heads, such a great feeling and perfect for this hot hot heat. Thanks to Darren for mine! You know this handsome face – blogger & comic man Sean Ward. I always make it out to Notable TV events to support Julian and see/meet cool peeps. The party was catered by my MOST favorite Toronto catering company, The Food Dudes. They honestly make the best food out of any party I’ve been to (and that’s A LOT of parties!). I finally met Dejana Bajic (aka Shopsterium), we follow each other on the Twitter. She stopped me right away to snap a pic and introduce herself. She got some good ones of the event you can check out on her bloggy. Enjoy the day, she’s a bloody hot one out there! 🙂

Toni Collette is beautiful and a totally wicked actress. The site has profiles all the characters she plays, I haven’t met them all yet, but I’m gonna. United States of Tara, good show. Part of why I love this show is John Corbett, I have been in love with him for many years. He melts my heart. I once dated someone he reminds me of. So handsome, both of them, heart melt sandwich. after spending hours on twitter and tumblr

I feel like my blog here, my daily diary is missing my attention. I like to update is early in the day and the last couple weeks I’ve been so busy. See, the thing is, tumblr is so immediate and all about pictures and frequent updates and twitter is instant and short and wordpress takes longer for me to publish. It’s amazing how the world of blogging has changed since I started. My blog began on myspace with poetry in 2005, blogger in 2006 as casiestewart.blogspot.com, 2007 with a redirected and URL as casiestewart.com. In May 2009 I moved to fully hosted on wordpress. Moving to wordpress allowed me to have more control over the layout and design as well as widgets and plugins I wanted to add. Since I’ve been using posterous and tumblr, I feel like they’re all extensions of this blog, they’re all part of my life on the internet. Posterous is tech related things and nerdy stuff, updated almost daily. Tumblr is pretty girls and inspiring things from around the web updated daily. Twitter is everything in between! Oh god, I love the internet.

If you go outside… I had a fun time last night. Hit up the Silver Dollar with Raymi and danced the night away before gettin’ sendy and heading to The Beaver. She’s got heaps of pix, my damn camera DAMERA is still broken. Found a diamond in the Queen Street rough last night, a handsome boy that when you google him, only brings up his work; he’s lawyer and doesn’t FB. That’s hot. Yeah, I creep people when I meet them. Don’t you? DUH! Try it, it’s a fun game. Only bad thing so far is he lives on the same floor in the same old building as an ex. Poteltial awkardness x 1,000,0000,0000. Working on posting sketches and poems to tumblr today. I’ve got about 1,000. Birthday is wonderful so far. I feel very happy and lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people. Cheers to THAT!

I got a new phone today from Motorola called the Backflip. This thing lets you stream emails and social networks into one feed and it backs all your stuff up. I’m testing it out this weekend to see if I like it better than the Milestone, that phone is gonna be hard to beat. I’m really liking Android in general. Think I might need to buy myself one of the custom phone cases to look after it though! Stay tuned for my thoughts on it. Twitter released it’s official app for Android today. Downloaded it. So far its ok. The homepage is portrait vs landscape which bugs me and it seems you can only have one account. I’ve been using the Seesmic app to publish and monitor about five accounts for work etc. The RT function doesn’t let you edit tweets first which is pretty annoying. Gonna give it a fair go this weekend along with the new phone. It’s been a really good day. Checked a few things off my list that I’ve been meaning to get done. Feeling super positive and looking forward to the weekend. Think it’s gonna rain tomorrow but I don’t mind, it’s been a busy week. Might clean my room if it’s rainy. Need to catch up on emails (sorry if you’re one of the people I’ve not emailed back yet). Gonna head over to Raymi‘s place for her roomie’s bday party tomorrow night. the more we get together the happier we’ll be

Walked to work with the cousins this morning and showed than around the MuchMusic studio. It’s really nice having them here. I’ve never had a cousin around my age visit me before. We had a fun at the game last night, but baseball, I’m just not that into it. The Rogers Ctr was quite empty and we ditched our already good seats in the 200’s to move in to the 100’s super close. Will post about that later. Thanks Mum for sending this little shirt dress, love it! This is an interesting vid from the Rogers blog with stats on how we use technology. It’s fascinating to think about how communication has changed in the last 10 years, 5 years, 2 years. My main source of communication is Twitter and I rarely actually ‘talk’ on the phone to anyone. Twitter is where I get the bulk of my info and most friends I hang with these days, all tweet. I love it. Text, gchat and email rank higher than voice over phone line for sure. In other entertainment news, the World Cup ACTUAL cup will be @muchmusic for MOD today.

schools out for summer

Look who’s a Degrassi student today! I was running into a meeting earlier today and my boss asked if my shirt was new and if I was going to the big meeting this afternoon. “No” I said, “oh, it’s a DEGRASSI meeting” he replied. I look like SUCH a keener and I love it. Abby gave it to me last night as a thank you for inviting her to my Hills party. She works with the show which is awesome cause it’s gonna be airing on MuchMusic. BTW if you ever wanna come watch The Hills with me at MTV, just ask! I’ll be hanging out there on Tuesday nights. I got shot by Erika Ruth about 2 weeks ago. Here are some of the pix. It was a super nice day out, sunny, warm. I was internetting down by the lake in the sunshine. My outfit: singlet, american apparel bikini, cut off shorts, fishnets, Dr. Marten combat boots, ribbon laces. Then I chilled out on Canada’s largest tall ship, Empire Sandy. It got a little windy as I reflected on my day. This one is my fav. I’ll have the whole set from her later this week. Stoked to see how they look. Had a really nice day yesterday. Woke up after a great sleep, spent the day relaxing, chatting with friends online, blogging from bed. Later in the evening I got myself a glass travel mug of wine and cruised over to the hot tub. It was kinda cloudy over the water but I didn’t mind. It felt so nice to sit back and relax. I was all alone there for a while but then this one dude came in. I was glad I didn’t check-in on Foursquare, he could be the one I stole the Mayorship from! It would be so awkward if it was him. We kinda fought over reins of the Hot Tub Time Machine going back and forth for about two weeks. I’m so excited for tomorrow. Sia and K-Cav are gonna me at MTV. ZOMG I love my job, I love my job. jus’ call me no time sally

Heyooo. Cra-zay busy today. Saw these dudes outside work today and got some Kick-Ass bandaids. Guy had some serious moves. I kinda wanted to roll the kid for her wig. I need to get some new wigs before I head to Florida next month. Ya, excited. They (Maple Pictures) have a room set up in the store front that they use for movie/promo stuff. We watch out the window from the office and troll over when we know they’re givin’ out free stuff. I love these guys, trolly’s. This is Oliver (Oli-vee-eh) my friend from France. He’s here doing a massive bike ride across Canada. He was sponsored by Adidas + a bunch of other peeps in Paris. If you wanna help him out, lemme know! We were playing with all my glasses the other day. It;s fun, can’t you tell?! Have a dinner date tonight with a friend. Gonna go home and work on some blog shiz while the sun is still out. Tomorrow is Foursquare day (4/16). This is the badge we’re all gonna get for checking in tomorrow. There’s a big Foursquare-rager at The Loose Moose tomorrow night. It’s alive! FORA launched last night and so far the buzz is pretty positive. It’s a fashion magazine about beauty, trends and has contributions from featured bloggers and a couple friends. changing the face & < body > language of advertising

Today I went to FW and I was a media, a real media. Being there challenged/changed any old thoughts I had of how Fashion Week goes down. The internet makes everything instant. I imagine the days when clothes are shown IN season and made to order online from the runway via mobile and delivered shortly after … ah, a girl can dream can’t she? I was in the media room often doing work (otherwise known as FB & Tweets) for MuchMTV. I was surrounded by bloggers and traditional media, however, quite impressed by bloggers. Filling up seats and sitting amongst Elle, Flare and the league of fashion then going straight back to little laptops updating blogs with photos hot off the runway. Think of all the people it takes to produce something the ‘old way’ (photo, write, produce, edit, post) then a blogger comes along and is this all-in-one media publishing station. It’s truly amazing. Saw this video today via Marketing Mag basically, there’s NO FUTURE if you’re not going digital. I mean, that’s only true if you wanna advertise anything to anyone, ever. Duh, get up on it; power to the people! Did you know that half of FB’s 400 million users check in EVERYDAY? Take that to the bank. That’s like heaps. The Last Advertising Agency On Earth from FITC I’m a huge Saatchi fan for years but mostly since that book I told you about a couple times, remember? I used to dream about working there. Looks like CGI is doing a good job of listening/paying attention…my Tweet showed up on their homepage today retweeting a photo re: Barbie’s show on Wednesday at LGFW. Popped over to see Darren this morning and got a little grey-ness put into my hair. It’s on the runways this season and I really wanted to have it done before fashion week. Tonight is Twestival and I’m super excited to be surrounded by everyone tonight. Tickets are almost SOLD OUT. If you want one get it here. There’s over 400 people already attending.
