I did all the things on my list today in preparation for a great night. It’s been an amazing year. I’m heading to Lauren’s then to 159 Manning for what it sure to be one epic house party after another. I was going to write a post about the end of the year and stuff but I took a nap instead. Ha! I’m feeling great and will write something tomorrow as I return to regularly scheduled blogging. I am so excited for 2013. We made it past the Mayan prediction and through all kinds of things, and now truly have the ability to make our dreams come true. THIS IS YOUR LIFE Be thankful for everything inyour life, good and bad, it makes you the amazing person you are. Have a safe and fun night. Tell your friends you love them, call your parents if you can. Make a promise to yourself to do something worth writing about each day. You’ll look back and be glad you did. Trust me. Holidazed

After being sick for the last 10 days I am finally feeling better. I’ve had cough, cold, sore throat, stomach flu, and more sleep than perhaps ever. My batteries are recharged to start the year. I’m back in Toronto and it’s nice to be home. Holidays home with family and friends were so much fun. Hung out w/ Dad and Skyped our family in New Zealand. Jenie and I wore the same thing on Christmas. We are becoming more twinsey. Mum has some reading to do. Mega snow came but it didn’t bother anyone! Made some robot puppets and had sushi the other night.

Home for the Holidays

I was so sick this weekend. Spent yesterday in bed watching Netflix (Frida, Elf, Archer). Went to see This Is Forty last night, it was good. More sad than I thought it would be. Made it home to Mum’s today and first thing I did was take a nap. It’s so nice to be here. I’m soaking up every minute of relaxation and listening to Christmas music. Excited to see family tomorrow and hang out with Dad. Mum and I are gonna try to watch The Hobbit this week. I really hope this damn cough/cold is gone when I wake up. I’m sick of it! Last day of work for the year is almost over. We had an office pizza party. Carli brought lil’ Fig, her dog into the office. Thanks Bacardi Canada for sending a present! I found ten cents yesterday. This is my two cents.

I love Instagram. It made me think different. More creative. That’s why I like it. I found new, inspiring people and I like to see their photos. See how they look at life, through their lens, through a different filter. I have been publishing for about a decade and have thousands of photos on the Internet. I’ve had my smile photo used in a Facebook ad (total surprise!), a photo of me as a bot (read that story here), and TBH I don’t really mind if my fav bar wants to share my photos beside a Molson ad or on a billboard. A LOT of awesome things have happened from me sharing freely. If you want to own everything, write a blog. If you want to create, make great things and share them. I feel like Internet years are dog years. I’ve been meeting young bloggers more lately and I feel Internet old. I’m up for a Lifetime Achievement Award for christs sake! (Thanks for the Nom guys!) I’ve found myself saying “back in the old days of blogging/social/2.0 things were/it was like [ insert something with no rules, regs, or privacy concerns]. BTW, OOTD on that old Instagram of Queen West is Overgram single photo edit x4, with Diptic collage. It’s more about what you are doing than where you are sharing it. Ok bye. Have a great day.

Vans Canada! New Store, New Stuff!

Vans just opened a brand new store on Yonge Street between Queen and Dundas. I’ve been a huge fan of the brand for years. See about a dozen posts mentioning Vans here. The last few collections have had so many cute things for girls and awesome stuff for guys. I snapped a few pix but I highly recommend you stop by and check it out for yourself. Tried on a few things and went for a great red striped button down, small purse with a tail, and leather change purse. I’m gonna pop back in the for the aztec shoes below and some sunnies. I really love the leather shoes for men. I imagine my future boyfriend having a pair. The staff in the shop were young & hipstery and very friendly. Check out coverage of the opening party last week on 1LoveTO and StyleDemocracy. I would like to get this red bag before summer. SUMMER! This is the purse I got. This sweater has Lauren’s name all over it. Thank you Williams PR for letting me know about the shop! The new flagship store is located at 245 Yonge Street, Toronto. GO VISIT.
