Now, don’t get me wrong because there IS a difference.

I’m currently shopping on Dealuxe.ca to pick out an outfit for my talk on Thursday during Mashable Socal Media Day. Sign up here to come for the fun, there’s 250+ people coming already. Gonna be fun to see everyone. This skirt is cute too eh. Mum loves it. I’m also browsing EGOCLOSET to pick out something to review & while testing out their new online store. Thinking this uber cute Diamond Pocket Dress, Maxi Jumper or this Chifon tail dress. Loving those long flowy skirts & dresses. They were really popular in NZ last year & they are ALWAYS ahead in style down there. I love getting stuff in the mail, everyone loves mail. The other day Keri & I came home feeling kinda blahhhh and my friends at Bud Light sent me a 12 pack just because they knew it was going to be a nice weekend. Thanks guys, it did make the weekend better and I appreciate it. Sometimes I wonder why I’m even talking about this…. should I keep quiet? Here’s the thing about blogging I don’t love: C.C Chapman wrote about it six months ago. The Mommy bloggers have been talking about it way before I brought it up, good article on MomBlogMagazine about it here. PR email comes in about an ‘exciting’ new campaign that brand XX is launching. It is either a one day event or it spans several weeks but it is ‘perfect for my audience’. This is a what is called ‘Blogger Outreach’. The company knows from idea conception that they want to connect with bloggers although they bugdet nothing for the bloggers who are going to do a bunch of work. They know exactly who they are going to target because we are all on the same list.

land of plenty

MMVA Stage is lookin’ pretty rad. I love cruisin’ by there mid day on my own schedule. Liberating! I worked mega long hours this time last year getting ready for the MMVA show. It was fun at the time. Took the subway yesterday. I rarely ever take the subway. Most the time I walk. There’s never a shortage of interesting characters. I used to TTC often & would write stories about people & things I saw. Remmeber that book lady, Seen Reading? I think she got slammed for writing about people on the subway. I wonder where this guy was going? I like his outfit. Went with Keri to The Richmond to learn about Snoxin. I’m gonna have a face like a child in no time. Lots of pretty girls there & nice outfits. This stuff makes you look younger. Better than any $500 cream and available for $39. Last year I got Nanoblur from the same company, that stuff is awesome too. Post girl time, got beer & had a hipster hang w/ Australian in the park. Watched the sunset. This dude was totes checking him out. I love park hangs. He doubled me on his hipster bike. I was scared, it was exciting. Rushing to Spoke Club, then Globe & Mail then to pick up my NXNE Priority media pass. Hectic day. Wish I had a bike right now. Hope you have a really awesome day! This afternoon I’m heading back to Centennial College with my (digital) brother Andrew Stewart. We’re chatting a PR & Digital Media class about social media and our lives. I love this city! Andrew works at Strategic Objectives PR and is going to discuss social media from an agency perspective. He was the brains behind the NYE weekend in Montreal this past December. I’ll be speaking about how I built up a big following, grew my network and turned something I truly love into my job, living an exciting, positive life! I walk on glitter BTW. Capture the Rapture

Didn’t need my alarm to wake up this morning, bounced right out of bed about 7:30am. Today is gonna be long and exciting. Cheryl’s wedding is at 3pm in Kitchener and I’ve got a heaps of things to get done before then. Dress is really pretty & from Bicyclette on Queen. Cruised over there with Jenie yesterday in my fancy new Ford Fusion. Sunroof will be fun for driving/singing in the sun today. Gardener is closed for the weekend, very quiet. I can’t believe this day is finally here. It’s like, really intense man. Cheryl and I went to Australia together and were BFFs through college & uni. Mega reunion, biggest oneof my life so far. We’re all staying at the same hotel too. Cheryl has the same orange/blue ring tattoo on her right hand. Took Keri & my sis to dinner and Bridesmaids last night. Really good movie. So funny. I’m enjoying having a car & cruising around. Will feel great to escape the city. I need break from this crazy place. Mum, I wish you were here to be at Cheryl’s wedding today. I will give her my love for you. ♥ The sky looked really cool last night. Very Gotham. Ok, go time. Have a totally awesome day 🙂

You get older every day, here’s to a new year! Exciting! Celebrate Sister! She came and helped mama clean her room. Best. Present. Ever! Oh, Tower. Love shots from this spot in the park. So fun. Keri is my BFF (her blog) and she is the best bff everrr. She got me a few goodies including a balloons & a water gun! Gun is for glitter water. BEWARE. Gllitter tissue paper! Weeeeee. This special guy & roll on glitter too. It’s about to get serious. Wore a vest Mum made out for dinner last night. We went to O NOIR. This crazy awesome resto where you dine in the dark. I’m talking 100% pitch black where the servers are BLIND. It was really fun. The food was good, best part was the experience. I could not see a thing. All of a sudden your other senses became so important; touch, taste, hearing, smell. I suggest going with someone you already know/like. Start this at 1:20. canadian federal election 2011 – young people voting?

I watched the whole thing go down yesterday. I love voting and feel this election was very exciting. The way information is delivered & talked about today is very different than it was during the last election in 2008. Social media was a hot topic across all media. Voter turnout was higher than previous years, although not by much. I’m interested to see youth vote number, I really hope young people came through! Someone on Twitter asked me: “What’s got you so election happy. Is that JUST you feelin’ peeps should be out and voting… ?” Yes. That is exactly it. It is very important to vote. Hope I encouraged at least one person to get out there and cast a ballot. I liked seeing the rise in NDP, pretty crazy they have never had more than 48 seats. I talked to a bunch of people who chose to vote that way for the very first time. Surprised to how low the Liberal vote was. Excited to see the Green Party in the House of Commons for the first time. I only want the best for you, Canada.

There’s a whole story behind this photo and I’ll get to that. For now, we’re not gonna go THAT meta….oh just me with my Olympus PEN on Global TV wearing my shades photographing myself wearing my shades with the PEN being shot by the other Olympus XZ. HAHA. This is true. Remember that one. Rumor has it you can find this written all over the city. Positive grafitti is my fav. Hearts too. Well, hello there Hi I was heading to a research place where I ate this for lunch. Basically selling little bits of my brain to mordern science. I am so very diverse in my skill set. You have no idea, I got mad skillz. We followed Starbucker with a visit to the Toy Store. Look what I got, a sheep, baaaaaaa. She loves it, Hello Kitty. This is worth a few good laughs. A couple years back I worked at Hemingways in Yorkville. I knew Martin the owner (a Kiwi) and thought as a New Zealand person they really should hire me. They did. I loved working there so much. It was really fun, the people were awesome and I made good tips. I was there during film fest time which is the best time to be there. We had a very fun time. Eli was great cause he offered to take our photo but he had no idea what he was getting into. After about 10 photos, he got it. Raymi played me Bad Romance on the jukebox. Have you heard mama monster’s new jam Sheibe? She says “I don’t speak German but I can if you like”. Hence title of this post, perhaps you made the connection already? This is the happy face of me talking about New Zealand Mountains with another kiwi. Annnnnnnnd we’re back. Eye spy Raymi has the camera. Nice new cards BTW. I need new cards now that Virgin America dropped the news yesterday about stopping service to Toronto. I’ll talk about that later. It’s so sunny out today I’m reminded of summer. I feel happier today. Bugger this time of year, don’t let it get you down. This is a good time to find inspiration, look for it. Wearing an outfit Dad & his GF got me for Christmas. The skirt was too tight then but fits now. You know what that means? 1) Awesome 2) Going to the gym and working out makes you skinnier. I’m am so glad I’m getting my ass in gear. Last year I told myself ‘this year’ and I refuse to let ME down. Tonight I’m having dinner with my boss from my first full time job ever. It was 2005 and I had moved to Toronto for a job in the fashion industry. I was certain that was what I wanted to be. I love that her and I are having a date tonight. I will always love fashion too. Been talkin’ FW 11 events & parties! Exciting. Saw this today: “Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was one eccentric” I say, don’t fear being eccentric at all. last three months of 2010: bring on the new year!

This was a very exciting time of year for me. In the past three months I’ve been in San Fran, LA, Boston, Dallas, and Puerto Rico. Last year my New Years relolution was to reavel more and I deff made that a reality. These are some of my fav things from the last three months of 2010: I was a spokesperson and got my first national gig and hosted an event in Young/Dundas Square. my friends were in contests wore a cute outfit hung out with friends another smirnoff party had my photo taken zombie nation smirnoff india party movember mum sailed to the bahamas from near toronto some of my fav things played with toys went to hohoTO was at the beach gave away LOTS of gifts made fashion toast went to Dallas w/ Virgin America, was on Boing Boing met a REAL cowboy met RICHARD BRANSON. bbbbbbbbb-badass

stylus for iPad is real neat guys

Yep, its way easier to cut copy paste which I was having issues with before. I feel more creative now. Is it the ipad or is it the Mac product with my stylus and accessories that make using it a pleasure? I reckon both. Sitting across the row is an older man, about Dad’s age, business suit, writing notes on a pad of paper. I glance over and think, “Man, what are you going to do with that paper?” the pages are ruffling and he’s got all these papers and they are in a stack on the seat beside him. He sips his wine. I drink my beer. He is clearly not enjoying this trip as much as I am. It’s neat the difference in age and generation. Never had a job where I would write things down like that. I’ve always had a laptop or blackberry. It’s five years ago, six in January, that I started my very first full time job. That year I also started blogging. We arrive in San Juan later today. I don’t think I can give up Internet for a few days. I’ve got to many exciting things to share. This IS my life and I am “L.I.V.I.N”. iPad makes me wat to write more stories. 2011, I’m gonna write more. Well, more than I do already! Love you. Bye xo P.S. Porter doesn’t have tall cans anymore. i’m available

It’s true. No, I’m not looking for dates but I am looking to get together to talk with cool smart people who like to work with other cool smart people. I’m finishing up a contract this week and available as a consultant. I like to create fun campaigns that engage people online and connect them with cool brands. I also like to get people off the couch and create experiences. I’m not camera shy or afraid of public speaking and I love having my picture taken. Since leaving CTV as MuchMusic & MTV‘s social media guru/content writer, my life has been really exciting. Over the last two months…I did red carpets and celebrity soirees during Toronto International Film Fest (TIFF). I spent 10 days in New Zealand with as an International VIP sitting front row at NZ Fashion Week (NZFW). I hopped on a plane to San Francisco and met with the Virgin America team as their cheekly-little-rabble-rouser in Toronto. This week I am the spokesperson for the Arm Yourself campaign with GSK and for the next year, I am your Virgin America Provocateur. I’m young, smart, creative and a bank rich w/ ideas. I’m stoked for Halloweeeeeener. Can you believe we’re almost half way through Roctober already? Sheesh gonna be 2K11 before no time. On Sat the 29th in the day I will be doing something cool that I can’t tell you about yet (save the date) and in the night I will be at Tequila Bookworm for the People Downtown halloween-bloodbath-dressup party. the sky is no longer the limit

I’ve been following all the news about Virgin Galactic since inception in 2004. I am amazed and inspired by it all. Richard Branson is the most inspiring man in the world to me. Hands down. No limits, no boundaries, ready to take on the world, the universe. Doing it. The fact that I get to meet him and be part of the Virgin Team is a dream come true. Got an email last night with the great news “Virgin Galactic Releases Exclusive Footage of Spaceship’s Historic Maiden Solo Flight.” This is SO EXCITING! HERE WE COME SPACE! In 2004 I sent an email asking if there were going to be flight attendants to space because I was ready to start training. For the record, there are not. VIRGIN GALACTIC PRESS RELEASE: The world’s first commercial manned spaceship, VSS Enterprise, which is being developed by US space tourism company Virgin Galactic, achieved its first piloted free flight on 10th October 2010 in Mojave CA. Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, who was present to witness the flight later described it as “one of the most exciting days in the whole history of Virgin”. He went on to say: “The sky is no longer the limit. We will now begin the process of pushing to the final frontier of space itself over the next year”. VSS Enterprise was described by Scaled Composites pilot Pete Siebold as “a joy to fly” and the company confirmed that all objectives of the flight were successfully completed. National Geographic Channel in the United States will be showing a documentary on the build up and preparation for the first flight of VSS Enterprise on Monday, 18th October at 10.00pm ET/PT.
