I got a nice little surprise the other day when I received an email from Clarity that I had made their Independence Day Bossome List. Out of their archive of 14,000+ experts, I was chosen to be featured! This post is a selection of 10 Clarity Experts they feel are a miss between BOSS and AWESOME. It’s an honor to be featured in this group as both Chris Brogan and Saul Colt are people in the world of social media I look to for inspiration.

Just came across this photo of Lauren and I in the Globe & Mail from Grey Goose’s Cherry Noir event at the Soho House the other day. Yesterday at the Queen’s Plate I was hanging out with some of the reps from Grey Goose and Sean and I got to deliver the Grey Goose horse blanket to the winner of Race 7.
Lozzie and I rolled up to the SoHo House all Blonde Girl Bike Gang style on our bikes. Too bad our summer has been so mehhh, we’ve not been able to bike together much.
Trevor is a Brand Ambassador for Grey Goose who travels around mixing cocktails and talking about the brand. he was there yesterday at the race doing a TV spot, if you caught it or see it on TV today, you’ll see my in the background!
That’s all for now my friends. Will share Queen’s Plate pix later!
No, that’s not me! It’s Anne Hathaway in the Cineplex magazine! This week I went to the movies, which I have not done in FOREVER. The best part? I ordered tickets online from CAA and saved some cash. The second best part, CAA discounted tix are still eligible for Scene Points at the theatre. Double bonus!
There are over 1,300 Cineplex Entertainment screens in Canada from serving more than 70M movie lovers each year. If you’re a CAA member, like me, you can enjoy exclusive pricing. The prices below are Canadian dollars with tax included and can be ordered online or picked up from a CAA store near you.
CAA Cineplex Tickets Available
- Cineplex Admit One – $9.83 CAD 1 general admission
- Cineplex Night Out – $28.82 CAD 2 general admissions, 2 regular drinks and 1 regular popcorn
- Cineplex Child Night Out (13 years old or less) – $12.26 CAD 1 child admission and 1 kid’s concession combo (1 kid’s popcorn, 1 kid’s drink and 1 small candy)
You can use the certificates at ANY Cineplex Entertainment location across Canada, including Cineplex Odeon, Galaxy Cinemas and Famous Players and they are valid for two years. Um, that’s like forever these days! You can also upgrade them for IMAX®, IMAX® 3D, UltraAVX™, RealD 3D film and VIP admission by paying the difference.
As for me, I like to go to the theatre early and hit the arcade. My BF loves old school Pacman and my fav game is Dance Dance Revolution. I played heaps when I lived in Australia, and guess what? I still got skills!
For information on ALL the awesome life-side assistance savings from CAA visit caa.ca. On a side note, you can also save at Jays Games, East Side Mario’s, and Gap outlets. I picked up this bright cardigan from the Gap at Dufferin Mall the other day and saved 10%!

Have an awesome day!
I’ve been invited to the happiest place on EARTH! Yes, it’s true. I’ll be spending six days next month in sunny California touring Disneyland, staying at THE Disneyland Hotel, and hanging out in the OC and LA with their tourism boards. It’s every girls dream come true! I’m hoping to recreate a photo of me with Mickey Mouse that was taken when I was a toddler. Mum, did you find that yet?
These pix are from the Disneyland archives (via LA Times) and this little ticket is the first one ever sold. It’s been a while since I had a vacation and I can’t wait. Disney has also invited my BFF Lauren, a bunch of other bloggers, and I’m bringing my BF. I’ve never been so thankful to be a blogger!
I can see me wearing tulle, and Mickey Mouse ears the whole time. Ahhhhh! I’ll be sharing moments as they happen on Twitter/Instagram and documenting the entire trip with my new Canon DSLR.
If you’ve ever been to Disney or have any tips for LA and the OC, please leave in the comments! It’s been a couple years since I was in LA and I’ve never been to the OC!
A couple weeks ago I announced my partnership with Canon as a Brand Ambassador and over the past month I’ve been playing around with my new DSLR. The Canon Rebel SL1 is a compact 18 mega pixel camera with touch screen and whole bunch of features I’m not quite versed in yet. I have heaps to learn.
Canon has awesome resources and I’ve been playing on canonoutsideofauto.ca but the real way I’m going to learn is TAKING PHOTOS. I’m just getting used to using a DSLR. I’ve got a pretty good eye for composing a nice shot but right now aperture and ISO feel like new languages. Once I learn and understand exposure (ISO, shutter speed and aperture), I’ll be in business. I know it won’t take too long!
I’ve been playing around with ISO and exposure. It’s super neat how one photo can be so different by changing just one or two things.
This little Rebel has built in filters too. So, naturally I took a few selfies in the park to test them out.
This weekend I’m shooting Digital Dreams music festival and in August I’ll be shooting Disneyland and California! Staring in next month have a weekly fashion column for Dose.ca. This is where those Canon skills will really come into play. I’m excited to take my blog to the next level!
Below are a few photos I took using (gasp) auto to get used to using the camera.
One of the most beautiful things, a perfect avocado!
Limba the 50 year old elephant at Bowmanville Zoo.
A baby giraffe peeks out his head at Bowmanville Zoo. I need to work on depth and focus.
Flower pot at the cottage in Muskoka.
The dock and boat at sunset in Muskoka.
Gonna to practice camera settings in nature.
Over the next couple months I’ll be attending events and learning sessions with an expert from Canon. I gave them a whole list of things I want to achieve before December rolls around. I’m exited to take you on this journey with me! If you have tips on accessories or tricks that will help me out, please share!
This is only the beginning!
Remember this post from a couple weeks ago? Turns out I took place in Coco Cola project Surprise Notes and I didn’t even know it!
