I was not expecting it to be so crazy! I planned to take a taxi this morning but there was almost no chance of getting one. Wearing this angora sweater I’ve had in my closet for ages. It’s alwast been to warm, -20 with the windchill is perfect!  Akamaihd My tights have a fleece lining and leather shorts are really warm. Any true fashion lover in Canada knows how to dress for the weather. Added these new Stolen Riches laces to these little leopard boots to spice them up a little.  Tumblr I’m off to new york for the day tomorrow  S6img I’ll be spending most of the day at DRIVEIN Studios in Chelsea. I LOVE New York in the winter.  DRIVEIN24 I’m 1 of 3 bloggers from Canada who will be on ‘set’ for the Smart Set 2013 Spring campaign shoot. I’ll also be doing a behind the scenes Q&A on camera. Fuji Film Canada sent me this sexy little leather XF1 in a purse from Danier Leather. That’s how you do it, forget the box, send it in leather!  It’s a sleek & stylish point n’ shoot that I can take anywhere. It’s the latest in the X Series and combines fashion and function. Perfect for me! I’m not really sure how to use it yet but I will learn. There are a lot of features and you can actually shoot digitally with different types of Fuji Film. Vans Canada! New Store, New Stuff!

Vans Canada! New Store, New Stuff!

Vans just opened a brand new store on Yonge Street between Queen and Dundas. I’ve been a huge fan of the brand for years. See about a dozen posts mentioning Vans here. The last few collections have had so many cute things for girls and awesome stuff for guys. I snapped a few pix but I highly recommend you stop by and check it out for yourself. Tried on a few things and went for a great red striped button down, small purse with a tail, and leather change purse. I’m gonna pop back in the for the aztec shoes below and some sunnies. I really love the leather shoes for men. I imagine my future boyfriend having a pair.  The staff in the shop were young & hipstery and very friendly. Check out coverage of the opening party last week on 1LoveTO and StyleDemocracy.       I would like to get this red bag before summer. SUMMER! This is the purse I got. This sweater has Lauren’s name all over it.  Thank you Williams PR for letting me know about the shop! The new flagship store is located at 245 Yonge Street, Toronto. GO VISIT. We are all guilty of it, taking things for granted because of the amazing lives we have and forgetting that millions of people in the world have much less than we do. About a year ago, my Mum returned from a one year sailing expedition to the Bahamas. They spent and entire year living on the boat sailing to the Bahamas from Ontario and back. One of the things I remember Mum saying once she returned to work, despite missing her sailing life, was “But CASIE, we have FRESH RUNNING WATER!“. She’s worked as a consultant, brand ambassador, spokesperson, copywriter and community manager. Until this autumn, she juggled freelance work as each along with sponsorship deals with brands like Canadian Club, LG and Cadbury seeking mentions on her life blog and social streams. Then in September she made the jump into the agency world, accepting a position as director of social media at Community, a small Toronto-based agency that works on campaigns for clients like LiveNation, Heineken and Bacardi. Stewart says she’ll maintain her social presence (which includes 14,000+ followers on Twitter) despite her new nine-to-five and is participating in upcoming influencer programs by Ted Baker London and Telus. At Community, Stewart is using her personal network of influencers and experience as a blogger to inform client work. Meet Albert. He’s tall, dark, and Made in Canada.

He’s a Knottycase for my iPhone, he came from California, and was made in Canada. He’s part of the Save the Redwoods League at savetheredwoods.org. He was born beside a rocky stream, in the mountains near California, as long as 500 years ago. Albert was a big strong redwood but unfortunately he had a bad winter fall. Luckily he was salvaged and has now found love, with me. When you purchase a Knottycase you are helping to plant trees and make the world a better place. My wooden iPhone case is the Oak on Black and available for $79.  Each case is one-of-a-kind, different grain lines give each it’s own look depending on the part of the tree the wood came from. Welcome to my new fav Queen West hot lil’ spot. Look at all those signs! Need the Queen West one for the office.  The shop is right in the heart of my neighbourhood at Queen/Spadina and completely filled with everything I enjoy wearing. This is the FIRST Brandy Melville store in Toronto (from LA). These are the things I got; skull scarf, girl tank, aztek change purse, John Galt flower print backpack. I am in LOVE LOVE with new backpack. I actually stalked it online for days, almost ordering, and today I GOT IT. That’s US, the big smoke! Dear Santa, I want an Octaspring Bed. <3 Casie

Last night on my way home from work I stopped by the Canadian launch of Dormeo Octospring beds at 477 Richmond. I’m not usually one to blog about beds and stuff but they were giving out massages, warm food, hot drinks, and it was en route to mi casa. I have NEVER had a pretend sleep in a bed that so comfortable. Lucky for me my lounging was all captured by the brands photographer. I tried Bacardi rum and hot apple cider for the first time and met the PR team. How did I not TRY THAT BEFORE?! So good. I’m a stickler for technology and these beds are made with innovative, plush Octospring memory foam. They have JUST launched in Canada and are available at Sleep Factory. I have never purchased a new bed for myself as an adult, and this is exactly what I would LOVE to have. They are so incredibly comfortable (said that twice because I mean it), I recommend you follow in my footsteps and take a nap at a store near you. I hope my home insurance covers this kind of furniture, my friend told me that websites similar to simplyinsurance.com (visit site) can provide some more insight into home insurance quotes with information on what is and isn’t covered in their policies. If my current provider doesn’t make the cut I might have to switch. I want this amazing bed to be totally covered so I can sleep soundly on it. Some photos from the event below. Went to the Grey Cup Players Gala Award Party at MTCC on Thursday. It was fun. Got to thank my Telus peeps in person for party and game tickets. Lauren and I danced front stage while Kardinal performed and then we went home (to the internet). I’ve never been to a REAL pro football game, only college or Uni. AND, in other amazing news…I JUST FOUND OUT JUSTIN BIEBER IS PERFORMING AT THE HALF-TIME SHOW! OMFG. Judge me, I don’t care. I love the Biebs. Beards and blazers, boys with long hair, fancy dresses, I can’t help but love the style of Ted Baker London. The first Canadian store in opens this weekend and I’ve been chosen as an Ambassador. I have such a heart on for this look, Royal country elegance. The Ted Baker Blog is Muse & Views, they’re on Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. Creative, classy, their AW 12 campaign is ‘Survival of the Fittest’ and they say things like ‘be a glitter bug in Ted.’ I love it. Good brand, good branding. It’s a match made in heaven, romantic really. Stop by the store Friday-Sunday for the weekend long, picnic in the woods celebration. During store hours, don’t show up late for a bonfire!  They’re giving away a $2,500 shopping spree, some other prizes, and treats. Things I love are this collared sweater, blazer, and printed jeans.
