If you go outside… I had a fun time last night. Hit up the Silver Dollar with Raymi and danced the night away before gettin’ sendy and heading to The Beaver. She’s got heaps of pix, my damn camera DAMERA is still broken. Found a diamond in the Queen Street rough last night, a handsome boy that when you google him, only brings up his work; he’s lawyer and doesn’t FB. That’s hot. Yeah, I creep people when I meet them. Don’t you? DUH! Try it, it’s a fun game. Only bad thing so far is he lives on the same floor in the same old building as an ex. Poteltial awkardness x 1,000,0000,0000. Working on posting sketches and poems to tumblr today. I’ve got about 1,000. Birthday is wonderful so far. I feel very happy and lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people. Cheers to THAT!

I was looking at what I posted around this time last year and saw this video, same dress I’m wearing today. Around this time last year was the crazy Tamil protest on the Gardener I found love in a zombie tattoo I finally got a helmet and Porter was in town from the islands I played hopscotch on Queen Street I wrote about our generation and why we’re not lazy Posted on this exact day, May the Forth be With You 2009 I was in cartoon motion, dreaming of being a cartoon. I wore pants and a tuxedo shirt while biking to work. I wrote a really long run on sentence and through about Andy Warhol. I was closer to god (in a NIN animal kinda way) I played with Charlie in Kensington Market, vintage close & second hand books. I got my hair done before my birthday, suprisingly, I get my hair done today too 🙂 I love looking through old posts to remind myself of things and inspire me to keep creating new things. I’ve got a lunch date with the lovely Rayanne today and I’m really looking forward to it. Toot-a-loooooooo!!!!!!

my world 2.0

The sound of a rooster woke me up, and, just as I planned, I started laughing. I fell asleep thinking positive thoughts of “welcome summer” and “I want a porsche“. Got up about an hour earlier than usual to kick off the week before my birthday on Saturday, I’m gonna be 28. Its a beautiful day, the ground is wet, the air is warm. Might rain but for now, the sun is shining bright. Pulled out the AA thigh highs, threw on my wellies and shorts and made it out the door just after 8am. Sun shining in my face… Pretty walk through the park. Ready for puddle jumping. Having lunch with the lovely Lucia and I’ve also booked the whole night to myself. Started cleaning room last night, finally. Brought a banana for brekky today. It’s time to start planning for Florida trip, as in not eating crap! I need that toned up beach body in place, maybe I’ll even get a couple workouts (won’t hold my breath on that one!). Its absolutely lovely outside today. I wrote this as I walked to work using WordPress mobile & added the pix from my phone when I got into the office. Hope your day starts off great like mine did. another one bites the dust

My name is Casie and I have a problem with cameras. It is at this time I regret to inform you that the little pink Fuji has finally succumbed to the little crack in the lens part that goes in an out and now has a permanent zoom error. She’s done. The crack happened some months ago and was all ‘error’ for a while, then it came back to life. I think we lost her this time. Error seems to be EMO for gadgets. I can just see my friend PTBKB reading this and laughing. (Babe, I know, we knew it was a matter of time. Shouldn’t have written that fake losing camera story last month! Gahhhh!) Honestly though, when you are this active and take as many photos as I do on the daily, life is hard for a camera. Time to draw a camera on wheels, to the emergency room or morgue! [sad face] BTW, did you know my birthday is Saturday 🙂

I’m excited. Like, I mean, reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally, excited. There are so many things happening around right now that make me want to puke a rainbow of joy for weeks on this thing. Sia Concert – Tonight: She’s performing on MTV Live. I’m working at The MTV Temple instead of MuchMusic. Awesome. Hills Finale – Tonight: I’ve got almost 30 people coming to ma Hills party at MTV. I used to have Hills parties at my house. The friends who are coming all blog and/or tweet. Hellz fucking yeahz. Jays vs Boston – Wednesday: My cousin Isaac and his GF are here from NEW ZEALAND. Last time I saw him (the only time we met), I was 12. It was 1994. Birthday – May 8: Officially TBD. I’d like to have a “haven’t met you yet” party, everyone comes and meets everyone else #casie. Florida – May 27-31: just talked to my friends yesterday and I’m so excited. Ready for a vacation with friend I haven’t seen in a whole but I love. Gonna dance heaps. MMVA – June 20: Watch it play out on Twitter #mmva The G20 – June 26-27: right near my house. Rumor has it I need a pass to get to and from work. Been asked by York/Ryerson to take part in a doc about it. Filming me daily. Um, can I G20 Summit Rental my condo on Craigslist? Big money. Drew tweeted he was missing an orange balloon. My floor is covered with markers and pastels and sketchbooks. Among the analog art supplies is the flip cam, camera, phone (with cam, netbook, monitor, it’s a creative geek heaven. Love. I started this project about 2 years ago is starting to pick up speed. Met Louis Lautman last night at Notable TV’s premiere of The YES Movie. I asked him to tell you about the movie since it’s his movie [see video]. He said it’s kinda like The Secret on steroids meets MTV. Would really like to know if the young peeps in the movie have blogs, Tweet etc. Also, making lotsa money like that, these kids should be rocking serious style/designer shit. Was surprised at the style, I expected more savy! Watched part of the movie today. Couldn’t make it last night, stopped by to see Raymi before #genyto #canLit. Nice guy, very tall and says ‘theater’ with an accent. He started the Young Entrepreneur Society, so naturally I chatted him about entrepreneurship. I’m really into the big E. I firmly believe and know I can have anything I want , this is my life. He also told me he didn’t know how to spell ‘entrepreneurship’ for a long time, said lots of people have trouble with it. I’ve never had that problem. I won Young Entrepreneur of Cambridge when I was 15 for starting a publishing company. Little did I know then I’d become a modern daily internet daily social publisher. I spend lotsa my time going to these events, Tweetups, Genyto, etc these babies are really all about a crowd, a crown full of entrepreneurial thinkers. Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing. B.Franklin Watched one of Lou’s (can I call you Lou?) video on the YES Ning network and it was about internship and inspiring. I always wanted to intern somewhere really cool but those days passed. In the year 2000 I worked work at a marketing company sorting catalogs for the summer. Boring. believe in your self, dedication and discipline

This article was in the Toronto Metro yesterday & written by Rea McNamara. If you click on it you can read it easier (Mum/Dad/friends). I’ve worked really hard the last couple years on this whole social media thing. SO MANY late nights at home alone with my computer, fiddling around with blog posts, learning HTML, installing/fixing wordpress plugins, editing photos and more. I’ve got over 21,000 tweets for christs sake, that’s a big time investment right there. Building a brand online takes work, it takes work every single day whether you are building it for personal or business use. You just gotta stick at it. One of the best things I learned from my Mum is “just because you don’t have money, doesn’t mean you can’t compete, it just means you have to be more creative“. Creativity & determination don’t cost anything, yet they have gotten me further than anything else. All the social media sites I use are FREE. I use them often and yes, it takes up lots of my time but THAT has been my investment. It’s also how I got one of the coolest jobs ever. Thank you for the feedback & positive comments. I love hearing from you. Got some great messages from people lately that inspire me to stick at it when sometimes I don’t feel like internetting. April 27th is my blog’s birthday and I think it deserves a party.

i’d like to wish you a happy happy

Chatting away with Sabrina and she said “He told me he saw a look alike of you today!?”, to which I followed “No way really?” said he asked if I “had any recent enhancements?” to which she replied I have not. Ah well, nice to know there’s a look alike somewhere floating around with big boobies, haha. In case you don’t know it’s Doppelganger Week on Facebook which inspired me to post some blonde babes I love. My favorite model is Agyness Deyn, born Laura Hollins in the UK and one year later than me. She’s so fab, really. Her hair is wild and short and blonde and she keeps it amazing all the time. Her style is a whole tickle trunk of awesomeness. I’d love to go through her closet and try stuff on. Nothing would fit me as she’s at least 5’9 and I’m 5’2″. I’d still try everything on and dance around. We’d listen to Charlotte Gaisnbourg and talk about runways of Paris & Milan and drink and twitpic then go out dancing. I like Pink too. Her first album is the only one I’ve owned but that’s not why she’s one I like. It’s her attitude, she’s all “I’m gonna do shit and this is me and I’m gonna be me cause that’s what I’m good at”. She’s not afraid to say she’s crazy, so what, she’s a rockstar, she’s got her rock moves and she don’t need you to like her. Also totally love her new love for public near-naked acrobatics. I love Gaga for pretty much the same reasons I love the others…attitude, look and style. Gaga is fearless and fierce, she’ll stand up for what she loves and how she feels. She exaggerates all the things that make her different, the same things…

you really gotta work hard for what you want

“That’s a strange combination” was the response I got from Darius this morning on Twitter after I posted “tired.inspired.” That’s how I feel. I told him I’d explain in a blog post and I’m quite happy to. I’m tired. I’m exhausted but I can’t seem to slow down, take a break, rest, sleep, or simply ‘do nothing’ because I am inspired. I’m excited. I want to work more and harder and pick up speed. The hardest part has now become focusing my time making the most out of each moment. It’s either working towards goals or doing things that inspire me to set new ones. It’s how entrepreneurs & inventors feel, driven. When you bust your ass working hard and you wanna sleep but you stay up all night to put in a few more hours because you love it. That’s how I feel. I love it. Today I am listening to Selah Sue and I did my hair like this girl with dark purple nail polish, red bandana. I checked Twitter just before posting this and Darius had just posted one of my favorite quotes… Words to live by. Have a nice humpitty hump day… * Did you see Marilyn Monroe smoking pot? where every little thing had its own secret life

I’m sitting here eating a big fatty poutine and my mind is racing with all the things I have to get done. Spent the weekend doing fun stuff with friends. It was Jeff’s birthday and Karrera came over and tested me for allergies too. More on that stuff later. I’ve got heaps of emails that need my attention, not to mention all the work I have to get done at the office. I’m not complaining, I truly love it, I just wish there were more hours in a day or I could function without sleeping. I had an awesome week last week. I got asked to attend a Young Entrepreneurs Conference this weekend as a Social Media Star & MTV girl. I’m working on a part for a pilot with YTV. Paid writing gigs are becoming more frequent. I’ve got some holiday giveaways planned for December with some Givenchy and Burts Bees for you. AND people keep asking me for advice on social media. Finally, my hard work is paying off!! On a naughtier note, I watched Sex Rehab last night. I saw a promo for it at the office and though it would be interesting…it is. I’ll be tuning in every Sunday for therapy. haha I also wanna be Lady Gaga in Bad Romace. zomg. One more thing, Keri’s blog party is tomorrow night at 6:30. I checked in on a friend, a babe who blogs. We are one day apart and both get auto-tweetted horoscopes. I don’t always read my horrorscope (stupid word, usually positive when I read them) but sometimes I do. My birthday is May 8th and I am a Taurus. Did you know? Would you have guessed differently? I’ve got my dress at the cleaners for the 1950’s Madwomen party on Tuesday. Wednesday is Fashion Week time with Notable TV‘s Fashion Week Affair in the evening. Thursday is my time. Friday is GenyTO. Leaving 15 minutes earlier didn’t get us here any faster. National Car Free day but CP24 was showing massive traffic. Feel like it’s gonna be a productive one. Wore my wellies, there’s a rain-a-coming. Had a good sleep, back’s getting better. Feeling quite creative today.Might paint tonight. Time for a new sketch book again. I’ve filled up two every quarter for the past year. Found out I’m getting the new CK for men in the mail soon. Will have some samples too. I hope i comes in a big box. I wonder what catering will bring for lunch today. I’m reading a new book by Tucker Max. There’s a movie coming out of it. Pretty hilarious. I really should write down more stories. The ones that go untold and would never be published here. I’ve done some pretty ridiculous and hilarious things. I’m thankful for all my experiences as they make me who I am today. I wake up. Twist and scream. I think, why me? Sometimes live throws you curve balls. You can catch it. Pain, I can handle it. X-ray day today. Most people don’t like the doctor but it helps when he’s young and handsome like mine. I’m grateful for the friends/family who have been helping me. I’m thankful for Mum. I rung her so upset this morning and she saved the day. She made me feel better. Then I remembered it’s her birthday. I felt horrible. Finally did some laundry. I got flowers last night from the house where I fell. They’re beautiful. Getting read to go now. I can do this. It’s gonna be ok. Positive thinking. In case you were wondering, or if you weren’t, I’m gonna tell you anyways.. I’m still vibrating my eyelashes every morning with the Maybelline mascara. The mascara is really quite good. Been a while since I actually liked one for the product vs. the price. Smelling ever so sexy in Givenchy Play. Play comes out in August and features Justin Timberlake in sexy photos. Maybe you remember my sexy ones to match? I’ve got a new pair of prescription glasses on the way from Glasses USA thank-you-very-much. Black rimmed ones like an old man but good for a young lady. Her birthday is coming up and Grama wants to have a party. She’s turning 100. She loves to dance and get down. She doesn’t mind a few drinks or a toke either. You’d never know how old she is by her body. I think she’s had work done but she’ll never tell us. This one time she came out for Halloween and she was a hit. All the boys were checking her out from behind and dancing with her. When she turned around, they were shocked to see her age all over her face. Oh, Grama, you so funny. from the opera to the tata’s

Last night I went to Opera, as in the COC (Canadian Opera Company). It was nice to see my friend on stage. Precious really. I’m not a big Opera fan, I found this out last night. After trying not to fall asleep and banging my forehead on the railing in front of me, I peaced out at the half with friends. I’m just not that into opera. I wanted something more exciting and let me tell you I found it. I went to Monsoon where my sister is now working and they were having a special night for a new vodka and she was wearing a shirt of body paint. Totally hot. it’s bitsy teenie weenie, casie got a new bikiniwanted to sing karaoke, said to herself okey dokey!it’s on demand, she couldn’t fight itand so she sang “lets get excited”! birthday suit from Casie Stewart on Vimeo. and it’s not the singing of her voicebut the smiling face, ones of rejoice!! one more day and i’m one year older

Each year when I birthday rolls around I feel a bit of anxiety planning something that’s ‘all about me‘. I know that seems surprising because I write about myself each day, but this is like a diary and I write to remember. I love planning events, but events for other people, charity and helping others. It’s easier when it’s not all about me, although I obviously like the attention. So, when everyone asks ‘what are you doing for your birthday?’ I rarely have one answer and it usually results in anxiety. I’m gonna be home tomorrow night and have some friends over. I think it would be asshole of me to expect a big shout out when I don’t have the cash to pay for it all. Wait till next year…I’ll start planning waaaay early to alleviate the last minute anxiety I’m facing now. All week I’ve been seeing friends and doing fun things. The things is, that’s not much different from all the other days. I try to make sure that my friends know I love them and that I am very thankful to have them in my life. This the best birthday gift anyone could ask for. This picture I love.

It’s a little bit funny this feeling inside I’m not one of those who can easily hide

I wake up and have a quick shower before getting dressed. I wear pants today. I put on a dress shirt, the tuxedo one and a heart shaped locket without any photos in it. It’s long and silver and dangles as I gather my things and reach for my coat. Glasses, keys, phone, camera, do you have everything? I say to myself as I pick up my laptop carry case and head for the elevator. It’s not too slow today, I get to the ground and lead the herd our the door to work. I dry off my seat from the rain. I unlock and mount my bicyclette. The air is cool but warm on my face as I photograph the skyline over the lake. I steer towards the office. It’s cloudy and grey yet very beautiful. I feel free and alive and barely notice how my body aches for the first two days back on the road. It feels great. I arrive in the village greeted by the hustle and bustle of a place that thrives from nine to five. The train must have just left. There is a pleasant joy in the air; spring is here to stay. Smiling inside, I ride over the old brick road through the train tracks to the back of the factory. For the first time I dream of working in an art factory, my own. I park my bike and head inside. I arrive in ten minutes, this ten minutes glides me through the day. I’m ready to work today. I have the day off tomorrow, it’s my 27 birthday: May 8, 2009.

closer to god

The day begins to come to an end and I find my mind wandering, wondering. I listen to CBC Classical online. I feel relaxed and look forward to riding home and the breeze in my hair. I’m picking up my Edie Sedgwick dress from Peach Beserk this evening. Made to order and tailored to fit. I always liked Andy Warhol, as long as I can remember. I was walking through this outdoor mallway over the weekend, I think it’s beautiful.Listening to this music I feel inspired to write, to read more Ogden Nash and to create things that never existed before. My coffee is warm and so is the air around me. It’s comforting and leaves me feeling safe. My shoulders are bare and the light is barely coming through the clouds. I really love the movie Closer, there is something so real about the relationships between the characters and their melancholy love tales. Natalie, Clive, Jude and Julia, good kids. I feel it in my legs, the biking from yesterday. Tomorrow there is a Billabong sample sale at 67 Mowat Avenue. Two weeks ago I wished they would have one so I could get a new bathing suit for my birthday, then I got an email a couple days later. Thank you universe, you listen to my thoughts and you bring me closer.

Beautiful day. Cutest puppy ever – chihuahua/pug. Totally pet that little guy. If you’re in a hurry don’t go near Fresh & Wild at Spadina. Nice and tasty but slow compared to a factory like Starbucks. Wearing the gladiators today. Feeling glad. Its May the Forth and it’s a wonderful day. Lots of birthday wishes coming my way. Heading to a HotDoc tonight, hopefully Objectified. I am a really lucky girl. I am truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. Birthday week is all about connecting with my friends and thanking them for being themselves. Its important to let them know.
