just call me domestic diva

oh em gee, a baby! You wouldn’t normally say “domestic” with me in mind, I’m usually the opposite. Not really into cooking, children, cleaning and stuff like that. However, last night I cleaned my room, vacuumed and made a hearty butternut squash soup…from scratch! It startes like this, boiling the squash then peeling and putting in blender with magic ingredients before letting it simmer on the stove. Very tasty. If you wanna try just ask! I’m actually pretty good at cooking, Mum taught me well. The thing is, when you’re single, cooking for one person isn’t really that fun. I love entertaining (surprised?) and having people over, that’s when my Martha skills come out. How hot is Sabrina working our new LG Kompressor unit. Dayum grrrl! This thing sucks like a mofo. Our house is like mad clean atm. You can sleep on the carpets. I have to keep it that was cause a crew is coming to film at my place for an upcoming project on Monday. Tres exciting 🙂 Ok, TED afternoon session is about to start! I’m ready to be INSPIRED! Hope you are having a wonderful day. PS: I’m not affraid of babies anymore. Aotearoa: land of the long white cloud

Got on the plane about 11pm and shortly after we were sailing high we were given our dinner. I remember flying Air NZ when I was younger that the food was delish, guess what? It still is! I had this seared tuna and cute salad with lobster cream dressing. The dessert was some kinda pineapple/carrot delish. After I had the main course, lamb & potatoes w/ beans. I perfectly paired my dinner with gravol and a glass of red wine so I could sleep like a baby girl. (Mind you, there were some loud ass screaming little shits on the plane. Babies don’t seem to sleep so well on the plane, who knew? Luckily I decided it was not worth hurting them or grinding my teeth so I turned up my audio to drown them out.) This is me after 1o hours airplane sleep. Good morning! Would you like some brekky? Why yes, yes I would! Had this stuff then crepes + fresh berries & whipped cream. Hellooooo homeland. Nice to see you again. You can always spot sheeps cruising in pastures from the plane when you get a little closer than this. I almost got stopped at bag check on the way out of the airport cause the scanner guy saw I had gum boots (mine are actually red Moovboots). In NZ gum boots are worn by sheep farmers and in fields etc (which is not cool with airport security). I told him mine were fashion over function and had never left a big city. He laughed, I laughed, he let me go. I sure have a way with security guys! I totally thought today was Sunday (like it is at home in Canada) but it really is MONDAY today in NZ. The Proof is in…the Whisky!

Last week I stopped by the Roots store on Bloor to hang in the lovely Dougals Coupland room and taste Proof Brand Wisky for the first time. They had a variety of cocktails to test out and the whisky gets two thumbs up from me. The bottle is really cute, has a stylish design and is only $19.95 for the 500ml. I met the creator, a former LCBO employee who gave me the dirt on the brand. They’ve got a rum and vodka launching in the next year. I really like the way the bottle looks. I reckon the trio of whisky, vodka, rum would make a nice set for bottle service either at home or a resto. Jonathan Roy was performing, he’s a babe and his Dad, Patrick Roy is a pretty big deal in the world of hockey. This guy was bringing sweaty back. You can check out the Proof site at proofbrands.com. hardly no service for two days + didn’t internet

But it was fun. Seeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Exhausted from a whole day on the bus with the Bud gurlz. Sweet thangs they are. (HIIIIII to you if you are reading girls!) Everyone was super nice and fun especially the security and event staff. One employee girl was bit snooty but I reckon it’s because I got an outfit and didn’t wear it. Yay me! I’m wearing it NOW as I BLOG. 🙂 Overall, we had a fun time. The food was pretty good too. Nice getting there before all the boys arrived on Friday. There were so many boys. About 150 winners each with a plus 1. Watching them get off the bus and come down the gaultlet past the girls was charming. I missed the internet but not as much as I thought. Wilderness was pretty nice. Fresh air, stars, woodchips and fire. We stayed offsite at a house with full bathroom and tv which was great. Freaked out over chipmunks. I though I liked them, but no. They are cute from far but far from cute. Rascals, all nut eating and scurrying and stuff. They need to have mobile charging stations at these type of things. The cabin stayers had no outlets. None!! I hardly had phone service and couldn’t checkin on foursquare. Wahhhh. Chatted a dude about getting the mayorship but my phone was not playing nice so he got it. Learned for about $5,000 per carrier you can get a temp tower put up. That would be badass, wifi for everyone. WordPress mobile, twitter, facebook and posting via email to tumblr FTW. Hipster Hop: @vicecanada & @INQmobile Pheromone Party

Now this was a fun time. INQ Mobile & Vice teamed up to throw this donut party complete with bottled pheromones to turn up the temperature even hotter. Gimme pheromone pumps girl. The party was for a new phone. I didn’t really get to try it out. Open bar, good tunes and more babes with beards than I could handle. Fritz Helder & crew. (Note beards/babes ratio – told ya!) Party was at Airship 37, a warehouse just south of the Distillery. Team Stewart happening here. Good Looks obvs run in the family. Hottest photog ever w/ Violca from Masion. I brought my business cards as you can see. Hi cuties. This babe was the art director of the party. He just flew in from France. He was very cute. He had a strong French accent. I got him with my URL too. Danced a bit to DJ’s Rynecologist and Your Boy Brian. This is my friend Stephen. Saw a couple of the actual cool kids from MuchMTV too. Fistpump w/ Renee. GRAPHIC: the smirnoff experience

Monday night I had the pleasure of attendng one of TO’s most exclusive events ar ARD Events (my fav venue). It was the who’s who of social, media & fashion. Everyone was there and looking super stylish. I took the handsome Michael Nus as my date. I wore a vintage Albert Nipon that was a hit. I’ve not got so many complimentsa on one dress from so many social sites/people in a while. Good score I tell ya! This is my fav photo. Thanks to Erin Bury for snappin the pix, I forgot to bring Nancie (my camera). No one knew what to expect, the invitation was very mysterious (and creative) and the whole night was comic book themed. I loved seeing so many fmiliar faces in one place. Oh, Deadmau5 was there too so the music was epic. I’ve got more photos to upload but have to scoot to the office. First say back since Thursday. Overal, the Smirnoff Experice was awesome. I’d like the opportunity to do more parties like that and if you vote for me to be the Virgin Provocateur, I’ll be able to do it. annual trinity bellwoods garage sale = great finds

The park is a hub for hipsters, style and creativity and it all rolls out of peoples closets for this sale each year. It’s my fav one to attend and I didn’t know it was on until a impromptu conversation after my lovely brekky at Niche. I picked up this awesome vintage purse from Brazil. All leather and so similar to one that Mum has (Jenie has it at the moment). I was a super hipster and grabbed a Vice mag from American Apparel on my way h0me. Got this sweet little collar and old gloves. They look so elegant! There’s a cool art installation in the park for Luminato right now. Crazy boat thingy you walk through with all these clinitygy-clangity sounds. This is a really crazy week. It’s NXNEi, MMVA lead in to Sunday, hair appt tomo with Darren, lots of posts to write and heaps to get done. I know I can do it. I have faith in myself. Good thing I spend so many years partying, staying up late, drinking and working hard…work hard play hard has been good training for this week. Ha! Happy Monday! Love you xo

A couple years ago I had the pleasure of meeting one of the worlds most famous men in the porn industry who goes by the name of Ron Jeremy.
