i need some time for myself sometimes and sometimes i need some time with you

Woke up and went for a dip in the hot tub. It was so sunny and bright, a great way to start the day. Newest Moovboots. My fav ones for sure. Siberian Huskies. Warm and cozy. Read some news on Mashable. Love iPad Andy so much. We watch movies in bed, sleep together. Great view from the sunroom. When I wanna relax/space out I listen to this song. I find it most enjoyable on the TTC. I zone out and feel I am floating like a feather, daydreaming about peoples thoughts and where they are going, where they came from. Where I am going? What am I doing? Putting together a relaxing playlist on itunes, I need one. I’m going to Ostara Spa on King Street for a long relaxing massage. I am stoked . It’s been ages since I’ve had a great massage and I’ve been working my ass off lately. It’s my first time going there too. Next week is busy busy. Doing a talk about Social Media & Personal Branding at The National Ballet of Canada on Monday, Tuesday I am doing Rogers Daytime TV, Thursday is the Movember Gala and I’m a judge. I can’t wait. The week after that I am in LA, SF and Dallas and I finally get to meet Richard Branson. THIS IS MY LIFE. I have to keep telling myself. I love it and I love sharing it here with you. the forces of gravity were strong today

Kept me down. Ice pack and heat pack on shoulder arthritis pain. Couple friends over last night. Dinner with Dad, his GF and my sis earlier in the night. He is so funny, Dad. Watched Swimming Pool a forgein thriller on Netflix today. Pretty sexy, saw it years ago. Made me wanna write another book. It’s been long enough, I’m a grown up now. So many stories and photos from the years pased. Ate so many M&Ms this weekend. Have a nice giftpack prize for someone this week. Gonna be upgrading your Monday tomorrow with Virgin America too, tell you about it in the morning. Closer is a really great movie, seen it a bunch of times and watched it on Netflix today too. I love this movie for so many reasons, Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Clive Owen to start. My iPad has opened me up to enjoying the internet more than always blogging or tweeting. It’s helped me relax a bit, if you can believe it. Really looking forward to my vacation in San Juan next month with my Boston friends. Beach, sun, sand, friends, fun, tan, love it. I never really take a day off because I love what I do. Will be so damn lovely to full on relax. Really hope arthritis arm stops hurting by the AM. Lots of work to do and its all on computer, typing. Workplace hazzard. Going to bed early so I wake up ready to take on the world. Hope you had a nice weekend. I did 🙂 xo

VIRGIN AMERICA: we’re all winners here

Yesterday I gave away a flight on Virgin America at Finch Station. I let out a few clues via Twitter/Blog and in order to be eligible you had to meet me there with an I LOVE VIRGIN AMERICA sign. I rode the subway playing Angry Birds drinking Vitamin Water hoping like crazy that people were ready to meet me. Imagine if NO ONE was there? Oh man, I’d be mortified. Well, there were a bunch of people and they all had signs! Christine was the first one to spot me on the subway car and I heard her yell “she’s here” which was followed by her running beside the car to the door where I was about to exit. Imagine my surprise when I saw all these beautiful faces! (BTW don’t judge me for the crap photos, returning my camera today as the flash seems to have died. I am a camera killer.) Analog: Digital: In order to make sure the winner was TOTALLY random I was blindfolded with my pashmina and stood in the middle of the group whilst spinning around then stopped and pointed. Not the most advanced method but deff the most tried, trusted and true. The winner was Rochelle Latinsky. Congrats! After the big win some peeps had to go back to work and I took Phil & Tyler to Boston Pizza for a little lunch date. Big thanks to my new bestie Calvin at the Yonge Sheppard Boston Pizza for treating us all. Imma cook up some fun with that guy, he seems to have his finger on the pulse of some neat stuff and it all involves YOU. I went out to visit a friend and ended up in the Budweiser box at the NFL game with the band

Seriously, I met the band This Side Up at Bud Camp in the summer and became friends on FB. As you do. He told me they were coming to TO but I had no idea they were the Kings of Beer at the big rig for the Tailgate party. I showed up, was VIP in past the line and handed a beer. It was awesome. My friend asked if I wanna go to the game, NFL (not a sports fan) but I said yes. Free food and beer and at least a 20/1 ratio boys to girls. I’m still at the game now, football is looooooong. I have no idea who is winning or what the hell is going on. Team Montreal is really fun and the Bud Girls are great. They also had make your own poutine and nachos. Today is awesome. I’m giving away a Virgin flight tomorrow. It’s Upgrade Monday…wait for it! Love you. PS: I am also in my fucking pajamas!! Aaaah.

what are you wearing? i dunno. i just put stuff on.

I wore cute tights today. It was sunny bright outside. Sabrina’s Mum sent these tights from Hawaii. My Mum said she is hoping to send something from NY when they stop there on the big sailing adventure. If anything I hope she picked up something from a second hand store. She’s got great style and always knows good things for my sister and I. MISS YOU MUM. Call me when you get phone or internet. It was quite windy out today as well… I went to an ofice for a meeting and heard “oh look at you” then “you are like a Blossom but in 2010”. I forget that most office settings don’t wear funky outfits with hats and tights and scarves and stuff all different colours. I forgo and I am glad that I forgot. You should forget too. Dress fun and be unique. Working from home, I feel is the best thing for personal stle. Mind you, my room is messier than ever and I find motivation to clean it is nonexistent. Everytime I leave the house I throw together a mish-mash of things and accessories, hats, scarves and jewels galore. Every time I leave the house I am in costume, I am playing a part, I am me. This is my life. You are always someone when you leave the house, you are someone different on Monday morning than you were on Sunday morning (especially if hungover!). Your Friday afternoon self is different from holiday dinner self or your Sunday with Nana self. We are changing all the time. Lets hope it’s always for the better. hi, how are you today?

Fine. Sitting on the couch drinking water and eating Marmite on bread. Had a great night out with my sister last night. I’m closer to her than ever and it’s crazy how well we know each other. We are afterall sisters, but really good friends too which is awesome. I really appreciate her and that she lives in the city . We don’t see Dad that much cause he’s in Cambridge and Mum is sailing on her boat on the East Coast of the USA. LOVE YOU GUYS! Lots of stuff this week. Monday night is TweetgasmTO at the Gladstone. Tuesday night I have something I forgot to put in my calendar and I hate when I do that. Hopefully writing this now and reading it later will remind me what the heck it is. Thursday is Sabrina’s birthday. There’s always stuff hapenin’ on Thursday. Friday I will be at Dundas Square all day for an event follow me at @armyourself_gsk for deets on that. Friday night is the People Downtown Halloween party. Saturday, I reckon I will need sleep/home alone time. Sunday is Halloween yahooooooooo. I will be at Parts & Labor for a private show with Broken Social Scene that is hosted by Virgin America and the Torontoist. I really hope Emily & Feist are there. That would be great, I have a crush on them both. Next week I’ve got a spa thing at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and a lesson in DJing. Imagine I was a DJ? Imagining……….. In New Zealand I met this babe blogger from the UK named Gala Gonsales who DJ’s. I think that’s hot. This is gonna be a good week and busy week. It’s almost November already. So crazy. Looking forward to Movember and all the moustaches that will be floating around.…

Up early for a meeting. Have lunch date with Hann, who I have not seen in 8,000,000 years. Meeting couple designers at Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) in the afternoon. Attended a fashion event last night with Tarek (designer of my forever loved Nella Bella bags). Night was sponsored by Audi, post about that later. On the run right now posting via WordPress mobile on my Android. Attending the Greta Constantine fashion show tonight. Been looking forward to that one. sorry but i just don’t have a face for radio ok

This weekend was a good one for me. I didn’t clean my room (like planned) or have thanksgiving dinner but I did make changes to my blog, hang out with friends and do a radio show. I’ve been following all the news about Virgin Galactic since inception in 2004. I am amazed and inspired by it all. Richard Branson is the most inspiring man in the world to me. Hands down. No limits, no boundaries, ready to take on the world, the universe. Doing it. The fact that I get to meet him and be part of the Virgin Team is a dream come true. Got an email last night with the great news “Virgin Galactic Releases Exclusive Footage of Spaceship’s Historic Maiden Solo Flight.” This is SO EXCITING! HERE WE COME SPACE! In 2004 I sent an email asking if there were going to be flight attendants to space because I was ready to start training. For the record, there are not. VIRGIN GALACTIC PRESS RELEASE: The world’s first commercial manned spaceship, VSS Enterprise, which is being developed by US space tourism company Virgin Galactic, achieved its first piloted free flight on 10th October 2010 in Mojave CA. Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, who was present to witness the flight later described it as “one of the most exciting days in the whole history of Virgin”. He went on to say: “The sky is no longer the limit. We will now begin the process of pushing to the final frontier of space itself over the next year”. VSS Enterprise was described by Scaled Composites pilot Pete Siebold as “a joy to fly” and the company confirmed that all objectives of the flight were successfully completed. National Geographic Channel in the United States will be showing a documentary on the build up and preparation for the first flight of VSS Enterprise on Monday, 18th October at 10.00pm ET/PT.

It is SO BEAUTIFUL outside today. Can you believe it is ROctober and 19 dregees! Gah. It’s gonna be 21 tomorrow. This is gonna be an awesome weekend! I’m going to a clothing swap on Saturday. I’ve got a massive travel bag of clothes I pulled from my closet. If I’ve not worn it and it’s not vintage or seasonal, it’s GONE! The mass piles in my room are shameful. I feel to good to be giving them away, all the leftover clothes to to a charity organization. On Sunday I’m this week’s guest on the Social Media Show on Perpetual Radio with Karim Kanji. We’re gonna be talking about New Twitter, the Virgin Contest and a few other exciting things. On Monday I’m filming a video with My City Lives about my favourite park in the city. So many exciting things happening!! I love you Toronto! Tomorrow is the day Virgin America picks the Provocateur. I’ve been leading the whole competition and have more votes, youube views, FB friends, Twitter followers and blog readers then my competition. He’s a nice guy but I rekon I’m exactly what Virgin America & Richard Branson are looking for! Thank you all for being such good sports and rooting for me this whole time. It’s been going since JULY!
