I was a dancer growing up and I hated gym class in highschool.  I never really knew how/felt comfortable working out on my own. I feel much better about the whole thing now. I received this email over the weekend: Hey Casie, I have no idea what searchwords let me stumble onto your page and blog …. but I wanted to send you a quick “thank you” for sharing your life. I found your page by pure chance, but once I started reading a bit, your positive outlook on life got me hooked. I find that highly inspirational! Maybe one day (if you ever travel the not so exotic Europe – or even boring Germany) – we’ll meet and I can thank you in person. Take care and keep that positive vibe. It’s little things like this email that really make me proud of what I do, what I’m doing. I’ve worked hard to get here and will continue working hard to make all my dreams come true.  This one time last year I got an email from international best selling author Neil Pasricha of “The Book of Awesome” and he thanked me for having “the largest collection of awesome related photos on the internet”. To me, this means I’m doing what I set out to do. There’s so much negativity in the world around us and by blogging each and every single day, I hope to make the world a happier place. It also helps me see joy in little things and appreciate all I have. It also helps me remember. Hope you’re doing something today that brings you closer to your dreams, and if you’re not, there’s still time to change that.

This week has been really busy. Good busy. Monday I worked in my hibernation station, had meetings the rest of the days and now it’s Friday. Whoa. Flew by. Going to meet a girlfriend for lunch then gonna try & pop by a friends new office space. I love when friends get new office space. I’m so proud and grateful to have the people around me I do. They’re all so smart and good at stuff. INSPIRING! Last night wa slike a blizzzzzzzzzzzzard. I walked two blocks and then from a friends place in the neighbourhood and jesus cripes it was windy-snow-blowy. I was practically attacked & violated by the weather. The island is looking incredibly beautiful today. This photo doesn’t show just how lovely the water is glittering in the sun. I love living here. I love glitter. This song has been stuck in my head all day. So, I’M PASSING IT ON. OH NA NA you know my name. ♥ Happy Friday!

2010 has been the most awesome year yet. I’ve always held 2004, my year in Australia as the best year but now I’m ready for 2011. I’m looking forward to working with more great people, sharing more things with you and giving back. Yesterday I was named one of the Women’s Post’s Top 8 Web Savy Women of 2010. Ok I just made up that remix… Tonight, for the first time in about almost 400 years we’ll get to see a lunar eclipse (think seriously how long that is? whoa mang). Listening to the news now and Global says Canada is the best place to see it. Starts for Eastern Canada about 1:45 am. The moon will turn redish which will be really really neat. Super cool part about tonight is it’s happening on the Winter Solstice, for the first time since 1638. WHOA science!! Darkest day in 327 years 8) #talknerdytome All the deets can be seen in this post from Yahoo and here’s some tips from Gawker: * Locate the moon. (Hint: It’s in the sky.) The earth’s shadow should start showing on the moon’s lower left around 1:33 a.m. Eastern time, which is when Fallon ends, if you’re on the east coast, or halfway through Hawaii Five-0, if you’re on the west coast. * The shadow moves slowly, but by 2:41 a.m., the entire moon will be covered, and will stay that way for an hour. The is the optimal time for consuming your peyote, playing your war drums, murdering people, etc. * The shadow will start moving again at 3:53 a.m., and the moon will be back to normal by 5:00 a.m. At this point it’s appropriate to do your winter solstice folk dances and poetry recitals.
