Hi, hi! Had a nice coffee on the patio in the sunshine. Got this cute heart shirt from Winners last night and it ripped already. Problem with all the sheer is it is so delicate. Head scarf was a vintage gift. I’m doing a presentation at an ad agency about creative blogging this afternoon. Fun! I love going into new offices and throwing energy all over the place. Huzzahhhhhh! Beerfest 2011 – Breakfast Beer from 1188 on Vimeo. This weekend is Beerfest! Stoked to get beer’d with a bunch of babes, boys, bands, and friends. This video was shot by 1188 last year for the fest featuring Hipster Ryan from the office. I was informed yesterday that my daily blog email wasn’t coming anymore! Sorry If you have been missing it! MY SKYDIVING EXPERIENCE

On July 21, 2012 I went for my first skydive at Jumptown in Orange, Massachusetts. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME! My instructor Joe Goodbreak was so cool & fun to hang out with. He has done over 1,000 jumps. Videographer was Keith Thivierge with two cameras for video & still. I was only really scared for the 3 seconds before we actually jumped. We had a 55 second free fall at about 120km before opening the parachute. Falling in the air is exhilarating. Greatest adrenaline ever. The sky was so clear and beautiful. I felt so calm up there. Before the Jump Skydiving from 13,500 ft (jump is at 2:12) He grabs my head so I lift up my chin to the camera. He told me not to look down but I couldn’t help it! He signals for me to pull the ripcord after we spin for a bit. Time goes so fast when you’re fallin’. I wanted to do dance moves but it was a LOT to take in on my first jump. Next time. Live Art Performance About Digital & Social Interaction?

I’m totally into it! This week on the SummerWorks blog I started my interview series with a few of the performers in the Live Art Series of the festival. There Are No Walls in This Office

I said to myself as I peeked out from behind my computer. There are no walls in this office. I looked up. Looked around. Ideas floating freely between the trees and with a fresh haircut feeling quite fresh in general. A rain drop lands on the touchpad. There’s a faint sound of a boy guitar while a girl reads a book and spins a hula on her hips. (It’s quite amazing really.) The breeze is cool for the first time in days and I wish I had a sweater. No. If you ask to ‘pick my brain’ that is your answer.

Student, charity? Sure. I’m a nice girl. BUT, if you are a professional, a big company, an agency, a brand, a beer, a burger co., an app, a toy, a product, a service, and you operate on currency, don’t ask to pick my brain. We can chat about an idea, you can call me for advice on clarity.fm, or run something past me in an email. Totally cool. Sometimes I brainstorm over lunch, brunch, and sometimes I really get creative after beers. As Harlan Ellison says “cross my palms with silver and you can use my essay“, ideas in this case. I think it’s the actual TERM that drives me mental. It’s basically saying “give me your ideas so I can use them”. If you are asking someone for advice, it’s because you value their opinion. An amature will give you their ideas for free but a professional’s ideas are what you really want. Forbes posted a great article and if someone ever asks to pick your brain, you should send it to them. Please don’t use that expression. It’s my biggest pet peeve aside from people calling me CASSIE. I had to give it a try. I saw photos pf people I knew and famous faces poppin up all over Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. I’ve gotten Sharon Stone before and Nicole Richie is the most common celebrity match I’ve had the last ten years. Here are my celebrity matches: Madonna, Spielberg, maybe I have a famous looking face? I always loved Brittany Murphy. The app is called aLike and it’s free for iPhone. Download, select photo of you or someone else, and voila, you have a match. Think Lauren looks like an Patricia Arquette, oui, non? It’s a bit smart this app, I tried with a photo I took of Adrian Grenier and IT PICKED Adrian Grenier. Who do you look aLike?

Casie, Lauren, Raymi: Toronto Bloggers & Life in the City

Hey look, it’s your fav Toronto Charlie’s Angels together again! Not too long ago Lauren, Raymi, and I were shot by Menkes for this corporate video about how much we love downtown life. Like, comment, share with yo friends. I cruised around my fav area (current construction zone) Queen/Spadina. My condo is right up the street and I really feel I can do just about anything in this neighbourhood. There’s lots of places to eat, drink, shop, or just hang out. Flower Power, Rain Shower

This was a fun lil’ afternoon project yesterday. Took flowers and make my first summer flower crown. I used to make heaps of things as a kid, I really should make more. You should make more. I’ve penciled in some time with my sewing machine, Zoey. We’re well over due for a hang out. I can’t wait for my hair to grow now. Any tips? Hello & happy Friday! I’m at 1188 Films doin’ some work today. I had the weirdest dream last night. I documented it in audio when I woke up. I hope you enjoy it. Another Day For You and Me in Paradise

Dear Diary, Great sleep. Good day. Lots to get done. Heat wave. Sunshine. Summer love. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th and I wanna get tattooed. Tuesday night I popped into ‘Mattel Game On’ at GCI Group’s rooftop and played some games with friends. It was fun. I didn’t win the grand prize but it was nice to see the media peeps. I went last year too, see that post here. Recognize anyone? After games night I scooted to Bloor Street for a foodie event. We were at Noka Japanese thanks to Ken Samuel and the food was DELICIOUS. This plated selection is called the Threesome. Creative one haha 😉 First time trying this beer from Kensington brewing Company. It was good but given I had a couple before I got there, I probably would have liked any beer! Thank you @inyourmouthTO for an awesome dinner sampler at #NokaToronto.
