Got something really, really neat in the mail yesterday. Any guesses? A cape? A toga outfit? Nope… Au Lit Fine Linens sent me 100% Egyptian Cotton Linens with MY NAME ON THEM! Did I ever have a great sleep last night. In August they have a White Sale: UP TO 50% OFF entire store! See the eyes on the front are not attached to the actual shoe? Docs don’t wear out that often but (if you have been reading this blog for a while) you know I am hard on things. I put everything through the “Casie Stewart: this is my life” test which is heaps of use and lots of wear. I’m REALLY great at testing products, especially electronics & clothes. (HINTY HINT) The things about Docs is they last forever. The shop on Queen Street kindly replaced my pair with a shiny new set of boots. When Fall rolls around I’ll be rockin’ them with that sexy leather jacket I picked up from Holts during the Crystal Light Challenge.   Tonight I’m staying at the SOHO Hotel with a friend courtesy of Jaunt.ca and tomorrow Keri and I are doing the Volkswagen Driving Tour. I would like to take this for a drive please, boys. Ladies Day at the races. Ok not really, We had fun though. Beautif Keri played a Playbook. This guy was Facebooking. Nice outfit, great hat. The sign in the back POWER-PLAYA. Smiles all around. Canadian hot shot driver Paul Tracy in blue. His website needs a makeover. Look at that stack of photos to autograph. The line was hours to get to him. So many people waiting. The front of the line winds around again further than you can see. Crazy. There was no sign of Danika Patrick. I wish. Who would you wait that long for? I can’t think of anyone. Something else I saw today is this posted by Tony.  A guy named Erik Shveima draws the LA Times, everyday.

today in blog news – i updated!

I updated to the new WordPress 3.2. The way it looks when I type before I publish is a bit different, I hear there are a few other new things too. It’s more like writing a document now. I feel like a reporter. I am reporting life of/on/in the internet. eTalk called me a Social Media Expert last night.  No argument.  I’m happy with how it went. Will post soon for Mum & anyone else outside Canada or doesn’t have TV.  The host Ben referred to me as “Stewart” and after calling me “famed blogger” they put my site on screen National TV. HI CANADA! I was using webOS on a new HP tablet. A bunch of people were them at an HP Blogger event last night.  I am still using iPad. My friend the CellGuru thinks I’ll learn to love HP’s TouchPad better. I dunno, we’ll see. Y’all know Andy is my iPad boyfriend.  One of the reasons I love him is because he has so many apps. We have heaps of fun together on Flipboard, Twitter, signing Autographs, watching Netflix, playing games. I can’t see myself without him and I don’t know if I’m ready to date anyone else. I’m planning to clean my desk this weekend. I do not like having a messy work area. It clouds my head trapping my thoughts from getting through my fingers to the screen. I’ve been saving these gifts to treat myself. These need to be dealt with. These need to be played with. Tonight I’m heading to the Spoke Club for Mark’s fall preview. Picked out some really great items from Mark’s last year before I went to NZFW. Impressed with how well they’ve washed, worn & stood up to my busy lifestyle. Made this video for Dad a in 2009. I watched practice from the fence. I love the sound of those cars. Had longer hair then too. Do you ever read the archives? This weekend I am super stoked to be checking out the HONDA INDY. Friday is FREE DAY and anyone can go. If you’ve never been or want an excuse to leave work early, you’re welcome. There’s also a Tweetup on Saturday. The charming & good looking (;)) team at Honda Canada gave me a pair of GOLD passes for the weekend including Paddock Passes for extra awesome access. Keri & I are gonna go make make some vids. Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend. P.S. Today I found out that in 2000 LiLo played a character named CASEY STUART in Life-Size with Tyra Banks. Uh, that’s totes my name toooooo guys. OMGAAAAAAAAAHHHH.

I’m IN the parade this year for ShaSha Bread Co. Love their ginger snaps & everything else.  Gonna be amazing. I have to go early to learn our choreography for the show. First time actually being ON a float. Our routine has to do with water umbrellas and babes. Get ready for it! I’m stoked. Best Pride hair evahhh. Pride 2007 w/ my sis & Randy.  We got lots of media that year, global attention. Pride 2008 w/ parade leader & Kory. Omg we had so much fun this year. The lovely Ricardo. Look at my shoes here, WTF CASIE? Blackberry too. Eww. 2009 Pride was a real ‘party hard’ year. I had a crazy party animal BF at the time. Pink hair too. Saw Cindy Lauper last tear at Pride 2010. Hit the parade w/ my sis as usual. Saw Jazen & Erica. So tall, giants! Will see my sister today. Weee. We used to have buttons that say “I love my Gay sister”. Decided to wear the cute little sequin bodysuit with tutu & fringe from The Australian’s shop. I love this outfit. Statue of glittery awesome. I love her mostly cause she’s living my teenage dream. The stage, the outfits, the glitter, the sequins, travel, dancing, the life looks fun & I like it. EPIC MEAL TIME. Her outfits, the performing, the glitter and sequins, balloons & big fluffy clouds, candy and fun dance moves. Clearly things I like. The show was very Alice in Wonderlandish with a Katy Perry candy, glitter twist, some meat and a butcher. Yesterday was a crazy day. Was blog spotted on the street then again at Cobra x 2. Nice job from my babes at Z-List for putting on a good afterparty. DJ Skeet Skeet aka @skeetonmytwitts. I didn’t realise at the time that HE was the same dude I was Tweetin’ with last year, telling him to home to Toronto etc. He had a great Halloween costume inspiration once. Good show. Great fun with friends! Had a blast with Brent Winsor, thank you honey for taking me. Don’t know HOW I didn’t get any pix of us. Brent, where is that cute one of us with the Virgin peeps? Any hoots, love her more than before. Wish I got a change to peep her husband though! haha

I’d like to think I had something to do with that. I kid, I kid. We’re SO online and our  Social media Day meetup is SO BIG that Mashable wrote about us today. We Toronto peeps know how to have fun. Get social baby. Props to Michael Nus & Dan Levy for putting this together. Last year I spoke about running the social media for MuchMusic & MTV Canada & this year I’m speaking about building a personal brand. Over 350 people are attending so it’s gonna, kinda a big deal. Wish Mum was here to see me in action. I’m sure someone will have on video. Last year I was JUST getting into speaking and has my hands in my pockets the whole time. Won’t do that again. What am I going to wear? I should really have planned this out. Hope to meet some new peeps & will for sure see a bunch of familiar faces. Looking forward to it. If you have any questions, ask away! Gonna be fun to see everyone. This skirt is cute too eh. Mum loves it. I’m also browsing EGOCLOSET to pick out something to review & while testing out their new online store. Thinking this uber cute Diamond Pocket Dress, Maxi Jumper or this Chifon tail dress. Loving those long flowy skirts & dresses. They were really popular in NZ last year & they are ALWAYS ahead in style down there. I love getting stuff in the mail, everyone loves mail.  The other day Keri & I came home feeling kinda blahhhh and my friends at Bud Light sent me a 12 pack just because they knew it was going to be a nice weekend. Thanks guys, it did make the weekend better and I appreciate it. Sometimes I wonder why I’m even talking about this…. should I keep quiet? Here’s the thing about blogging I don’t love: C.C Chapman wrote about it six months ago. The Mommy bloggers have been talking about it way before I brought it up,  good article on MomBlogMagazine about it here. PR email comes in about an ‘exciting’ new campaign that brand XX is launching. It is either a one day event or it spans several weeks but it is ‘perfect for my audience’. This is a what is called ‘Blogger Outreach’. The company knows from idea conception that they want to connect with bloggers although they bugdet nothing for the bloggers who are going to do a bunch of work. They know exactly who they are going to target because we are all on the same list.

We are here at the Met Hotel for Crystal Light Purse challenge where a bunch of designers are designing handbags. Mega blog girl gang hang. So nice to catch up with all the girls. Wish Mum was here. She’d love it. I love being in hotel my myself though too. These are the designers. Had a big meet n’ greet to learn about designs etc. This prawn-magnificent was delish.
