Got a new camera today! Say helloooo to my new SPROCKET ROCKET! Flash has my middle name. 🙂 Pretty stoked to shoot with this baby, gonna be interesting. The Lomography shop Queen West invited me in to be on one of their Lomo Magazine LomoAmigos. GRACIAS! Other Amigos include Elijah Wood, surfer Candice O´Donnell, actress Amber Tamblyn, and David Arquette. See them here. They have so many cameras in the shop. Beautiful space, nice hard wood floor. I want a ring, camera flash light ring. I picked the black one of these (boring I know!). Thought about the neon yellow but I like my equipment to match. TBH, it’s HARD to take photos with a non-digital. I told Jane at the shop “I’m about to find out how ‘good’ of a photographer I am”. I’m going for Borderline Artistic style, we’ll see what we get. These (blog) photos were taken w/ phone cam, Motorola DEFY. Went mobile for a change this morning. Cruisin’ on bike in the rain isn’t really time for the PEN. Took a bunch of shots during the day with the Rocket, gonna drop off my film tomorrow and see how we turn out with the first round. Wish me luck!

I put everything through the “Casie Stewart: this is my life” test which is heaps of use and lots of wear. I’m REALLY great at testing products, especially electronics & clothes. (HINTY HINT) The things about Docs is they last forever. The shop on Queen Street kindly replaced my pair with a shiny new set of boots. When Fall rolls around I’ll be rockin’ them with that sexy leather jacket I picked up from Holts during the Crystal Light Challenge. Tonight I’m staying at the SOHO Hotel with a friend courtesy of Jaunt.ca and tomorrow Keri and I are doing the Volkswagen Driving Tour. I’m gonna zip around in a TDI. Vroooooooooooooooom. The sign in the back POWER-PLAYA. Smiles all around. Canadian hot shot driver Paul Tracy in blue. His website needs a makeover. Look at that stack of photos to autograph. The line was hours to get to him. So many people waiting. The front of the line winds around again further than you can see. Crazy. There was no sign of Danika Patrick. I wish. Who would you wait that long for? I can’t think of anyone. Something else I saw today is this posted by Tony. A guy named Erik Shveima draws the LA Times, everyday.

today in blog news – i updated!

I updated to the new WordPress 3.2. The way it looks when I type before I publish is a bit different, I hear there are a few other new things too. It’s more like writing a document now. I feel like a reporter. I am reporting life of/on/in the internet. eTalk called me a Social Media Expert last night. No argument. I’m happy with how it went. Will post soon for Mum & anyone else outside Canada or doesn’t have TV. The host Ben referred to me as “Stewart” and after calling me “famed blogger” they put my site on screen National TV. HI CANADA! I was using webOS on a new HP tablet. A bunch of people were them at an HP Blogger event last night. I am still using iPad. My friend the CellGuru thinks I’ll learn to love HP’s TouchPad better. I dunno, we’ll see. Y’all know Andy is my iPad boyfriend. One of the reasons I love him is because he has so many apps. We have heaps of fun together on Flipboard, Twitter, signing Autographs, watching Netflix, playing games. I can’t see myself without him and I don’t know if I’m ready to date anyone else. I’m planning to clean my desk this weekend. I do not like having a messy work area. It clouds my head trapping my thoughts from getting through my fingers to the screen. I’ve been saving these gifts to treat myself. These need to be dealt with. These need to be played with. Tonight I’m heading to the Spoke Club for Mark’s fall preview. Picked out some really great items from Mark’s last year before I went to NZFW. Impressed with how well they’ve washed, worn & stood up to my busy lifestyle. Made this video for Dad a in 2009. I watched practice from the fence. I love the sound of those cars. Had longer hair then too. Do you ever read the archives? This weekend I am super stoked to be checking out the HONDA INDY. Friday is FREE DAY and anyone can go. If you’ve never been or want an excuse to leave work early, you’re welcome. There’s also a Tweetup on Saturday. The charming & good looking (;)) team at Honda Canada gave me a pair of GOLD passes for the weekend including Paddock Passes for extra awesome access. Keri & I are gonna go make make some vids. Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend. P.S. Today I found out that in 2000 LiLo played a character named CASEY STUART in Life-Size with Tyra Banks. Uh, that’s totes my name toooooo guys. OMGAAAAAAAAAHHHH.

I’m IN the parade this year for ShaSha Bread Co. Love their ginger snaps & everything else. Gonna be amazing. I have to go early to learn our choreography for the show. First time actually being ON a float. Our routine has to do with water umbrellas and babes. Get ready for it! I’m stoked. Best Pride hair evahhh. Pride 2007 w/ my sis & Randy. We got lots of media that year, global attention. Pride 2008 w/ parade leader & Kory. Omg we had so much fun this year. The lovely Ricardo. Look at my shoes here, WTF CASIE? Blackberry too. The stage, the outfits, the glitter, the sequins, travel, dancing, the life looks fun & I like it. EPIC MEAL TIME. Her outfits, the performing, the glitter and sequins, balloons & big fluffy clouds, candy and fun dance moves. Clearly things I like. The show was very Alice in Wonderlandish with a Katy Perry candy, glitter twist, some meat and a butcher. Yesterday was a crazy day. Was blog spotted on the street then again at Cobra x 2. Nice job from my babes at Z-List for putting on a good afterparty. DJ Skeet Skeet aka @skeetonmytwitts. I didn’t realise at the time that HE was the same dude I was Tweetin’ with last year, telling him to home to Toronto etc. He had a great Halloween costume inspiration once. Good show. Great fun with friends! Had a blast with Brent Winsor, thank you honey for taking me. Don’t know HOW I didn’t get any pix of us. Brent, where is that cute one of us with the Virgin peeps? Tech | Social Media Day -Toronto is one of most most social in the world.

I’d like to think I had something to do with that. I kid, I kid. We’re SO online and our Social media Day meetup is SO BIG that Mashable wrote about us today. We Toronto peeps know how to have fun. Get social baby. Props to Michael Nus & Dan Levy for putting this together. Last year I spoke about running the social media for MuchMusic & MTV Canada & this year I’m speaking about building a personal brand. Over 350 people are attending so it’s gonna, kinda a big deal. Wish Mum was here to see me in action. I’m sure someone will have on video. Last year I was JUST getting into speaking and has my hands in my pockets the whole time. Won’t do that again. What am I going to wear? I should really have planned this out. Hope to meet some new peeps & will for sure see a bunch of familiar faces. Looking forward to it. If you have any questions, ask away! Gonna be fun to see everyone. This skirt is cute too eh. Mum loves it. I’m also browsing EGOCLOSET to pick out something to review & while testing out their new online store. Thinking this uber cute Diamond Pocket Dress, Maxi Jumper or this Chifon tail dress. Loving those long flowy skirts & dresses. They were really popular in NZ last year & they are ALWAYS ahead in style down there. I love getting stuff in the mail, everyone loves mail. The other day Keri & I came home feeling kinda blahhhh and my friends at Bud Light sent me a 12 pack just because they knew it was going to be a nice weekend. Thanks guys, it did make the weekend better and I appreciate it. Sometimes I wonder why I’m even talking about this…. should I keep quiet? Here’s the thing about blogging I don’t love: C.C Chapman wrote about it six months ago. The Mommy bloggers have been talking about it way before I brought it up, good article on MomBlogMagazine about it here. PR email comes in about an ‘exciting’ new campaign that brand XX is launching. It is either a one day event or it spans several weeks but it is ‘perfect for my audience’. This is a what is called ‘Blogger Outreach’. The company knows from idea conception that they want to connect with bloggers although they bugdet nothing for the bloggers who are going to do a bunch of work. They know exactly who they are going to target because we are all on the same list.

We are here at the Met Hotel for Crystal Light Purse challenge where a bunch of designers are designing handbags. Mega blog girl gang hang. So nice to catch up with all the girls. Wish Mum was here. Sat w/ Carly for Stephen’s NXNE Interactive session this morning. It was packed! Blondetourage rides again. My pic of the slide w/ me on it didn’t turn out but his preso was good. He mentioned me & asked me to stand up. I did. Everyone stared & a few people quoted me on Twitter. I’m special (holds L to forehead). I’m super tired. About to watch the Y&R then get ready to stop by a hipster NXNE party w/ Raymi for an hour. Then I’m heading to the Biz Media for something totally EPIC… EPIC MEAL TIME! Omg gonna eat so much. Hardly ate anything this whole week been so busy. Can’t stay out too late. Hosting gifting lounge w/ Broken Heel Diaries tomorrow. Get to stay over at Le Germain & have a huge awesome bed all to myself. Pretty excited for that sleep. I need a good one before Sunday night’s MMVA madness. OMGAGA. This is my life.

The Broken Heel Diaries magazine is hosting a gifting lounge MMVA weekend and I’m one of their bloggers. Went to Robyn at Echo Beach w/ Raymi & Teach Friday night. It was awesome. Echo Beach is a new fully outdoor venue inside the Molson Amphitheatre. Stoked to hit that up a bunch this summer. Close to home & cool outdoor spot. Total win. Raymi Teach & I had VIP. Beauty sky. Girl you know it’s true. Glitteratzi graffiti. Love our downtown airport. Toronto is such a cool city. Got ready at Raymi & Teacher’s place. Left my mark there too 😉 New kicks, ILU. Dr.Martens were the shoe of choice last night. Hey Teacher. Ran into my boy Ish. We were in American Pie together years ago. Ran into his GF that time at Bicyclette. Hi Gay Bachelor Blog! It went dark and we danced. A little more over here. Robyn was great. She’s so cute, blonde & little. Love her! Speaking of cute & blonde. heh heh Tan is coming along nicely. Think I lost a few LBs too. This Olympus camera (xz-1) takes super high quality photos. lemme take you for a ride

Let’s go. I’ve not been someone who loves driving until now. I love grabbing the keys and hitting the open road, going anywhere I want. Today, I visited old neighbourhoods. I’ve driven a few different cars over the last few months (Ford, GM, Toyota). Really like how this baby drives, takes corners well, is nice on the highway, leather seats, sunroof, voice activated in-vehicle system. Looking forward to trying a hybrid car and also cars with more power. The SE Sport Ford Fusion has a 3.5 V6 engine, this one is 2.5L & 4 cylinder. Used to live in the Annex when I first moved to TO. There was five of us at 613 Bathurst, here. Went here on a date once. There was a sign that said “This is the place” and we went inside to find a house turned into a bar. It was really fun/cute. I’d like to do it again. Been ages since I listened to 102.1 The Edge. Was full of greatness today. Bellwoods looked bare. Am I bad for camera driving? I wasn’t texting or tweeting. Used to live on Manning at Queen too. That was a crazy time. Moving out of that hood was good. I always used to go here for breakfast. Had a birthday there once too. Sad it burned down. Love this big bag from Nella-Bella’s Melbourne Collection. Thanks TAREK! Great travel or overnight bag, fits all my gadgets, products & toiletries. Colour is great for summer, which I hope get’s here soon. P.S. Some friends just launched a blog for the startup community in Canada called Maple Butter. Maple Butter brings meaty how-to’s, case studies and reports from people on the front lines of successful startups. FOUNDERS UNITE!

The Lou Dawgs patio was so hot yesterday. The sun was warm too. It was 12/1, girl/guy ratio. Oh yeah, love it. We were hecking passers by. Well, mostly I was. lulz Only guy was Darryl himself! Jenie & I chatted about life. Reflected on our awesome day. (Hair cut on Tuesday, it’s long!) So glad I took out my nose ring. Kabbalah string broke in later in the day. Didn’t get poutine (for once) opted for a healthier chicked salad wrap. Very good. We gifted out leftovers to a homeless guy. Wearing new mala beads w/ black onyx stone. Went to a private little shindig at Bucker’s Toronto store the other day. Say hello to Buckler PR girl, the famous April Wozny. Hot. Yeah you, boy who wears this. Total sucker for a cardigan. Won’t even talk stance. Yes. Yes please, socks and shorts and you again, with the hoodie this time. You look hot. This cardigan is perfect for me (to steal from future boyfriend). I have one pair of Buckler undies (man ones) and they are so comfortable. They look so hot on boys, girls you should get a pair for your man. TRUST ME.
