stop complaining about the raining

You will not hear me complaining about this weather, I love it. Pull out a raincoat, throw on some Moovboots or Wellies and walk right through mud puddles. I’ve heard people whining about it on Twitter and I don’t get it. I could find a zillion things to do instead of that. Make a fort. Art project. Movie night. The rain, it’s so refreshing. I always dreamed of having my own show and thanks to the internet it’s so possible for anyone. I’ve been making some vids but I would LOVE to win this $250,000 viralocity contest with Doritos… BTW, I’m sick of the work viral. I can’t enter it because of my job but it’s open to anyone in Canada over who’s ever been teenager. I checked a bunch of videos today and didn’t seen anything particularity hilarious. Feeling the spring fever. It’s lovely walking to work in the brightness. Great way to start the day. Ramping up stuff for the magazine at work. Toronto Blog Girl stuff is picking up speed. Today I am wearing a dress from Shop My Clothes that’s by a Japanese designer. I love the print heaps, very springy. It was really long so I chopped it and used the excess fabric to make a circle scarf. Black Betsy Johnson tights from Winners. Gold boots were black leather from Vintage 69. I spray painted them gold. Andy Warhol used to do that. Trench, cardigan, & heart locket are from H&M. Bag was a gift Calvin Klein. THANKS! I’m a judge in this FAB contest from Peach Beserk. Met Louis Lautman last night at Notable TV’s premiere of The YES Movie. I asked him to tell you about the movie since it’s his movie [see video]. He said it’s kinda like The Secret on steroids meets MTV. Would really like to know if the young peeps in the movie have blogs, Tweet etc. Also, making lotsa money like that, these kids should be rocking serious style/designer shit. Was surprised at the style, I expected more savy! Watched part of the movie today. Couldn’t make it last night, stopped by to see Raymi before #genyto #canLit. Nice guy, very tall and says ‘theater’ with an accent. He started the Young Entrepreneur Society, so naturally I chatted him about entrepreneurship. I’m really into the big E. I firmly believe and know I can have anything I want , this is my life. He also told me he didn’t know how to spell ‘entrepreneurship’ for a long time, said lots of people have trouble with it. I’ve never had that problem. I won Young Entrepreneur of Cambridge when I was 15 for starting a publishing company. Little did I know then I’d become a modern daily internet daily social publisher. I spend lotsa my time going to these events, Tweetups, Genyto, etc these babies are really all about a crowd, a crown full of entrepreneurial thinkers. You might even get a few bad comments if your lucky. Anonymous ones that say mean things are they best. Joking. I warn you….having a blog can be a really weird thing sometimes. I’ve been getting asked about blogging quite often lately. I’m now mentoring a bunch of babes about blogging and doing a talk about social media. Get your ass a ticket and come, you can even buy me a drink at the end! Serious. Kidding. Serious. Everyone will interpret things you write in their own way. You might offend people. You might share too much and feel overcome with anxiety. Sometimes Mum/friend will ring asking ‘are you ok?”. The reply “yes Mum, I’m fine, oh yeah, my blog, whatever… “You might go back and edit, delete, or maybe you’ll just leave it and think, this is my life. One of the great things is telling stories is being creative with your blog, borderline artistic. The weirdest thing about having a blog is relationships and dating, or breakups. I like to keep my relationship talk about my love of the Internet, clothes and gadgets. They’ll never tell you they need a break or leave your heart feeling empty. That’s all for now. the way to a girls heart is through her closet

I’m a hoarder. A clothes lover of sorts, heaps and piles of them constantly fill my room closet/floor/bed. It’s overwhelming to think about putting them away. I know this may seem trivial to some but too bad, it’s my thing, always has been, always will be. I love clothes and shoes..and accessories. Recently got these amazing white skinny jeans from Jonny who runs Shop My Clothes. He’s a friend, a blogger and one of my contributors to the MTV magazine I told you about a while back. (BTW FORA comes out later this month. Stay tuned!) I saw some great style on there today: Christian Louboutin’s ($160 size 8), DVF jacket – 3/4 sleeves/tuxedo collar ($75). It’s in Canada/USA and you can post FOR FREE. HAZAA! His site’s been growing fast so I figured it was about time I shared it. I also figure the only way I’m going to be able to justify getting anything new is to clean out some of my nice things and post them on Shopmyclothes.com. I’m sure they would rather be on a warm body than permanently hanging in closet darkness. I just need to clean up the clothes, that’s the hard part. I keep avoiding it. I need a cleaning lady, I’m cleaning lazy.

life is about building relationships

I think this “Gold Canada Gold” melted. Sun was so beautiful in the afternoon yesterday, I really wanted to get on my bike. It needs a tuneup and a shine. Watched the Bachelor. It’s so annoying, I can’t believe he picked Vienna but he did. I realize I hate that stupid show and remind myself not to watch it. I’ve been having trouble sleeping, I stay up and work on things. I wish I didn’t get tired. The body needs rest, as does the mind. Gah, I’m excited about life, I can’t help it. Been eating a bit less healthier the last two weeks, lost a few pounds. Feels good, dreaming of summer like errrry day. I’ve started liking Google Buzz. Seems like a good aggregation tool and my Google profile has links to everything. Looking into more features and will share another day. I’ve been in a love affair with Google for a long time. It’s been a really good relationship. Very little downtime and always surprising me with new things. I like it.

celebrity endorsement for a good time #bridlebash

Last Thursday a me & some of the blog girls were guests to Cabbie’s Celebrity ping pong tourney. I played for my very first time & it’s fun! We’ve got a table at our condo and thinking about having our own “twing twong” with Carol and some other Twitter tweeps. Team Bijan took the trophy once again. Look at these guys, they beat ALL the young whippersnappers. Heard a rumor Bijan was once world champ or something…Hawaii can you confirm this fact?? Jallore got a couple pix from the after-party and boy am I glad cause Cabbie cracks me up. Look at his shirt ‘Plan B $29.99‘ BAAAAAHAHAHA. Oh man, so many jokes running through my head right now… If you don’t know what plan B is (Mum?) it’s an over the counter ‘don’t get pregnant’ pill combo for after sexual relations/condom mishap. When I asked him about it, he said he always pays. Everybody loves a HOE train? Look at Cabbie’s face, BAAHAHA. (Actually laughed out loud, hence the caps.) Loved this blonde girl, she had great dance moves and a rocking body. She’s so beautiful compared to Sheffi’s ass. Spent most of the night talking about blogging The Bridle Bash this summer. Bridle Bash parties are easily the best I’ve ever been to. Last time (in my friends backyard) the party raised about $500,000 and had over 1,000 people. Serious house party. I’ll be doing roll call for an entourage of hotties to join me. I’ve got a bit of a history of rolling up to the red carpet with about a dozen beauties. Stay tuned 😉

TGIF ♥ @casiestewart: are you on FB?

I ask and bat my eyelashes even though I’m home blogging & tweeting in tights and a snuggy. …. talk nerdy to me… Responds with full name…which leads to a T.G.I.F. search, twitter, google, internet, facebook. I’m the the jerk cause I don’t do it right after popping the question,. Only mildly curious anyways but mostly easily distracted and doing my own thing. First, search.twitter.com. No results, uses a branded twitter name so makes sense. Second engine, Google search, first result linkedin followed by FB and a couple other things. Third, Internet search, browsing any other site other than Twitter, Google or Facebook. I check linkedin, history of pretty good jobs, nothing crazy and very professional. This is a good thing. Last check is FB, we’ve got about a dozen common friends. I know this social circle. Friendship requested. The internet makes the world a small place. With just a name you can learn so much. This week I read a tweet that said if someone is not found on Google or FB, they’re probably a serial killer. Exaggerated yes, (I hope) but really now, someone with NO DIGITAL footprint at all? Makes me wonder if we could ever be friends.

believe in your self, dedication and discipline

This article was in the Toronto Metro yesterday & written by Rea McNamara. If you click on it you can read it easier (Mum/Dad/friends). I’ve worked really hard the last couple years on this whole social media thing. SO MANY late nights at home alone with my computer, fiddling around with blog posts, learning HTML, installing/fixing wordpress plugins, editing photos and more. I’ve got over 21,000 tweets for christs sake, that’s a big time investment right there. Building a brand online takes work, it takes work every single day whether you are building it for personal or business use. You just gotta stick at it. One of the best things I learned from my Mum is “just because you don’t have money, doesn’t mean you can’t compete, it just means you have to be more creative“. Creativity & determination don’t cost anything, yet they have gotten me further than anything else. All the social media sites I use are FREE. I use them often and yes, it takes up lots of my time but THAT has been my investment. It’s also how I got one of the coolest jobs ever. Thank you for the feedback & positive comments. I love hearing from you. Got some great messages from people lately that inspire me to stick at it when sometimes I don’t feel like internetting. April 27th is my blog’s birthday and I think it deserves a party.

Last Thursday, I was one of about 100 people chosen to attend an exclusive event hosted by Notable TV. Good fun, great food, cool crowd, babes. Can’t ask for much more than that. You know these blog stars, Sean Ward & Carly. Blonde blogging babes, Carly, Lysnie, Casie, sounds so cute to me. I love Carly’s pink/blonde and Lynsie’s grey/blonde style. I’ve been thinking about grey with orange or pink or peach. Have never had orange/grey before, not on purpose at least. My hand looks really large to me here for some reason. I have small little hands like kid size . I’m never posing with my glass like that ever again. Take note. Papapparazzi on these boys! If you come to this part, you will get your picture taken/be on camera. There is no way to avoid it unless you wear a mask. We were at Annex Loft Houses, Bathurst/Dupont and the night was called Nuit D’azure. The Loft House site plays automatic music when you go to it so I am not linking to it, pissed off at them for that. I will also never buy a condo from them based on that single first impression in the 0.3 seconds it took the site to load. The crowd was fun and included all kinds of familiar faces to me. Sean Ward made this vid. I’m so freaking happy Sean and Carly had their cameras, I went back and redid this whole post. Makes a better loooking blog, my Milestone photos were subpar compared to power of a real camera. Catering by The Food Dudes, mme tell you, them boys make some tasty treats. I found someone online last night. Interesting enough, found her self-shot nude in a Google of “red hair wheelchair“. She found a chair on the way home from a party and was gonna use it for something artistic. Her name is Zoetica Ebb and she has the best blog I’ve seen. I like her. I think she’s about the same age, lives in LA, Coilhouse along with Meredith Yayanos and Nadya Lev, a magazine of alternative subculture. She blogs and takes photos. I added endless scrolling to my blog inspired by her blog. You can scroll endlessly for years never having to click ‘next page’. She also has short hair, is kinda crazy maybe, artistic, tattoos, blogger, takes pretty photos. Ah, so many great photo ideas. I need to be using my camera more. Found one girl who traveled through China and one girl who said her chair is a crazy person magnet . Was actually looking for a this guy. She has cool style and blue hair. Remember when I had cool hair during Pride, it was pink and hot? We had fun that weekend. It was crazy, but fun.

The women’s downhill skiing was A MESS! So many ladies flying, falling, sliding and skating. Seven didn’t finish. It was crazy, did you see it? Wish I could embed the videos of it from gawker. I was like totally dying watching it. It’s like a scary freaking movie. I recently watched an old ski movie called Downhill Racer from 1969 . It featured a very young, hot Robert Redford. He was a smooth talker. This guy won another gold. Love watching him…flying in the air with his red ginger hair. It’s like a video game or something! I watched this video of wii Shaun White and it looks like IF you can do it the game, you can do it in real life. Is that true? This Olympics stuff is a nice change from regular tv. I totally have a thing for the curling.

OFFICIAL impact of #haihaiTO event: $22,030! #HaiHaiTO + #GenYTO = AWESOME! Party was stellar.Tons of people were there, if you weren’t… be sad for a second then make sure you come to the next one! I was busy selling raffle tix and didn’t bring camera so good thing Sophie got pix. I also find the Flash on my new Motorola Droid isn’t that bright anyways. BTW, I’ve got a reputation for selling mad tickets and I lived up to it big time. Hire me for your next party! haha Skip to :40 in this video where the guy come off the stage and dances with me. I’m ok with it until he dances UP ON ME. I felt his “you know what” rub on me and all of a sudden I was MAD embarrassed. SO many cool peeps and so much fun. We danced our asses off like it was a highschool dance. It was amazing. I met a heap of peeps IRL (in real life) that I only knew from Twitter. He also quoted “a blog is an engine” which was really nice because I like that one and it didn’t even get any comments. Found these today too. Didn’t know they existed, Search Stories from Google. This is called Newbie, it’s a grandma embracing technology. Oh Google, always warming my heart. You know just how to talk nerdy to me. You press all the right buttons.
