Some things and thoughts…

There was a really beautiful sky last night. I love the view from our place. Living near the water is something I adore. I prefer the ocean but the lake is good too. Was recently sent a couple gift cards for Tim Horton’s so I could try out the new lattes. They were super nice to send a few extra so (I did a secret contest and) surprised a couple people with a gift. Tried the vanilla latte and it was ok. I reckon I prefer Tim’s regular coffee. So many memories as soon as I take a sip. Have you tried the Tim’s latte, what did you think? Going to Tim’s with Dad as a kid was one of my fav things to do on the weekends. He would always read the Toronto Sun. I remember we’d always check out the Sunshine Girl which is why I think I wanted to be one. Crazy that was over ten years ago. I think I look younger/better now. Gimme a donut meowwww! Boston creme is my fav treat from Tim Hortons. Next week I’m heading to Boston for a visit with friends. When I arrive we’re going straight to the museum then a Rocky Horror show at night. Preeeeeeeety stoked. Saw this painting at a meeting today. Liked it. Moooooooo. Went to Earl’s last night with Stephen. The Financial District is such an interesting place. Everyone looks the same, sea of suits. I wore the JC Night Walk shoes, harem pants from Raymi and that lovely denim jacket from Bicyclette, with Dior lipstick. These shoes spark conversation everywhere they go. Honestly, they are really comfortable and easy to walk in. Rarrrrr! Calculator phone usually gets a few commets too. It would be really cool if it solar charged or was a working calculator. It says…

Take a Different Look, See Things Differently

Had a good day working at home yesterday. Finished it off with a bevy downstairs at the Fox with Shan. My trend of winter hibernating has a bit of a new meaning now that I have to go less than 20 steps to a place where real humans hang out. Arrived there with two day old hair in a headband, huge Nana sweater, baggy harem pants from Raymi and an over sized fur. Trust me it sounds more glam than it looked. Man repelling hard. Watched a few episodes of United Stated of Tara on Netflix when I got home and discovered this cool thing from Google Earth. Check out these cool interactive polar panorama images. Nana’s old house in New Zealand: Napier Road, Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui. Behind Nana’s house are these massive windmills and huge hills like in Lord of the Rings,. My old house on Curlewis in Bondi Beach, Australia. It was a fave min ute walk from the beach. I loved living there. You might love this photo, depending what you’re into. 😉 Been thinking heaps about moving back there. Some days the desire is so strong. Yesterday was one of them. The house I live in until I was 21 in Cambridge. Condo city, heaps of tall glass buildings, concrete jungle and the CN Tower. I love this city, it will always be home no matter where I end up. Party like it’s 2012! Dim sum dance party w/ Mansion

We had all the blonde blogging babies out that night. Love those babies. Last night I watched Swingers and now all I wanna do is call my besties babies. All our boys were there too. Love these love birds. Lozzie & Seany. Emma is one of my style ICONS. You can find her managing my fav vintage shop @CTS_Queen. She is a beauty and always has the most rad outfits. She picked out my gold dress for the night from the shop, I cut it and added a bow + belt. Check the dance move of the guy in the background above. Ha! Good morning and welcome to 2012 work life! How was your holidays? You know how mine we’re, obvs. Had a relaxing day yesterday then went to Sammy’s to watch movies. He made dinner and left for Jamaica early this morning. Lucky bum heads to the sun on the coldest day yet. Have you been outside in Toronto today? Bundle up yo. Packed on a fur on top of my winter coat for extra warmth. Sammy has more fur coats than me, haha. Came over to Raymi’s before my tattoo at 2pm. I’ll have have sleeve by summer I reckon. Lau, Raymi, Sarah and I invented #shitbloggerssay last night. You wait till we film that show! With over 200 million zillion blogs in the world it will surely interest a few thousand nerds like you us. I have so many days of photos and stories to blog, stay tuned for that later. Spend Thursday night with the lovely Minx Raymi her mama and Lois for the last Coug Crawl of 2011. So fun. No, I’m not a coug yet but I’m 100% a fan of The Keg. Used to work at the Cambridge Keg with my sister. We were on the Opening Team and won the Airband Competition at Keg Cup 2005. If you worked at a keg you KNOW Keg Cup is a HUGE dealio. Love is in the air. Keg is full of older dudes on the prowl for young babes, hence, ‘Coug Crawl’. I conveniently had some old drunkish man buy us all Grey Goose shots, we played up that is was Lois’ birthday. (Wasn’t really! moohaha) Love the calculator iPhone case Sean got me. THANKS SEAN! Then we had a blog party. Look how early it is! Check what she’s lookin’ at. Me, meta. Look a hipster died right here on the street! Met up w/ Sammy for some shenanigans. Picked up this hat from Fashion Crimes for last night’s Diet Coke event. This was the social media party of TIFF. Everyone and their blog was there. Read about it on The Grid. First day for a while it’s not been sunny out. I find myself to be very productive on these days. Dive right into my computer! This song is a good motivator. I’m on the edge of glory, I’m on the edge! I wanna do the EDGE WALK on the CN Tower. Hair is back to a nice blonde. I really wanna grow it out this winter. It’s a mega process. Had it short for so long now. If I focus I can do it. I mean, make it through the awkward stages! Got any tips? Luckily I love wearing hats. Really loving new desk setup. Mac things are so pretty. My Dodo Case for iPad is totally busted. Basically a scrap of bamboo. I really need to EM them about that. Got a new Motorola DEFY yesterday adn I’m happily back on the Telus Mobile Network. Doing a photo shoot tonight with Lauren, Raymi, Anna and some babes for PinkMafia. Had a wicked sleep last ngiht so hopefully I don’t look tired! Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself & you’re set!

The awesome ShaSha Bread Co. float. They won 1st place for their design last year and this year it was pretty darn awesome. Getting instructions before we learn our choreography. Haha Rob Ford was there drinkin’ in the street. I kid, I kid. The Crew! Team Good looking! Sammy is funny. Nice tatas. I was having an epic hair day. I gave Sammy that beautiful hot pink extension. Bubbles are fun too. I love this kini. Nice shot photographer. We had so much fun dancing. I heard “Born This Way” about 200 times yesterday. I’m always amazed by how many nude people are in the streets. Mind boggling. We are so cool us Canadians. So epic. Water was infused with lemon & vanilla, it smelled like ShaSha lemon snaps. DELICIOUS! Thanks Raymi for connecting me & ShaSha! You were missed Raymbo! Streets were so packed. It was great having everyone call out to you from the streets. I love crowds & the spotlight. We are here at the Met Hotel for Crystal Light Purse challenge where a bunch of designers are designing handbags. Mega blog girl gang hang. So nice to catch up with all the girls. Wish Mum was here. She’d love it. I love being in hotel my myself though too. These are the designers. Had a big meet n’ greet to learn about designs etc. This prawn-magnificent was delish. I ate a whole bunch more than this though. Borderline artistic. Love you. Your fav movies right when you want them haha. (Dazed & Confused yeah here.) Olsen Twins at Tweet Valley High. Sat w/ Carly for Stephen’s NXNE Interactive session this morning. It was packed! Blondetourage rides again. My pic of the slide w/ me on it didn’t turn out but his preso was good. He mentioned me & asked me to stand up. I did. Everyone stared & a few people quoted me on Twitter. I’m special (holds L to forehead). I’m super tired. About to watch the Y&R then get ready to stop by a hipster NXNE party w/ Raymi for an hour. Then I’m heading to the Biz Media for something totally EPIC… EPIC MEAL TIME! Omg gonna eat so much. Went to the NXNE Opening Gala last night. Saw heaps of friends I’ve known from the media scene for years. That’s one of the best things about festivals, the peeps. My tan is so serious right now. There’s four in the UK band and these two are brothers. So cute. I love the dancefloor too guys. Ladies bathroom bonding. So magical. Left 99 Sudbury & walked to King West to party w/ Tiny Danza & friends at Cobra. It was fun. Love the lights there. Cobra is fun cause you can hang from the ceiling. Reminded me of my old party ways.
