This post if full of things that add glitter to my life. Thought I’d share with ya. Bangs from Doll Bar, Olympus PEN, vintage hats. I’ve been trying a new routine of going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Once you get outta bed, you can really accomplish heaps before the day really started. That’s my September goal: do more before 10am than most people do in a whole day. My October goal is: go to England or New Zealand. Settin’ em high. YES WE CAN. Sprocket Rocket camera from Lomography. I’ve got heaps of film because, frankly, I’m not that good at using the camera so I need to take heaps of shots before I can be considered good. Analogue is haaaarrrrrrd. New duvet cover is the alphabet, say hello to my ALPHA bed. See what I did there? Oh yeah, creative play on words. New flowery pillow looks painted and that eye mask is from Keri. I sleep with an eye mask pretty much every night. I live in a glass box, it’s SO SUPER sunny in the AM! Although, getting to sleep is never a problem thanks to my new memory foam mattress. According to bestmattress-reviews, there are a number of quality options at a lower price than you’d think. Gadget love: iPad (Andy), Macbook Air (James Dean), Android (Motorola DEFY), Logitech wireless mouse. I spend most the day with these guys. Ok, here’s something really amazing….you won’t BELIVE how tall I am with these legendary things strapped on. Aren’t they beautiful? They’re Jeffrey Campbell and I ordered them online at Solestruck. I really love my work. It’s true what ‘they’ say if you really work at what you love it doesn’t seem like work. My days are longer and I try harder than ever, but I honestly feel so happy about it all. Yesterday’s video shoot at The Gladstone went great. Followed that up with a stop by 1188 Films for a catch-up and to talk Festival (TIFF starts Sept. 8th). Stopped by The Drake roof for a bite after hair before visiting my babes at Doll Bar Inc to get FEATHERED! So many colours. When my hair grows I want heaps. Move over Natalie Portman, the BLOG SWAN is coming. We decided against the bright ones for now and went with a more subtle look. Love them! Mega nerd 🙂 Arms are getting ripped from biking though. I cruised by this the night before it opened and snapped a bunch of shots in the dark. Yesterday I creeped into the beautiful art installation exhibit by IKEA at King & Peter. It’s in collaboration with Canadian fashion designer David Dixon, fashion & design photographer George Whiteside, sculptor Bruno Billio and Thrush Holmes, popular artist, painter & owner of Thrush Holmes Empire. I love the creativity. I could live here. Maybe one day I will. These photos were taken the night before it opened and shot from outside.

This article ran last year after New Zealand Fashion Week about bloggers & how fashion’s front row is changing. I never did get a hard copy! The Tempo magazine is inside the NZ Herald that comes on weekends (I think!). One of my cousins got it delivered to her house. How awesome is that? Her Canadian cuz gracing the pages of her mail. Would love to get back to NZ this year for NZFW. Air NZ isn’t the travel partner so that puts a wee damper in getting there. I had the best time last year. See my coverage here. Stopped by Goodnight Bar (the reservation only spot in the dark alley, Richmond/Spadina) to see Katiya and her new collection of accessories. See her lookbook here. She makes accessories that are right up my alley and is a complete darling. I wear bracelets everyday and hers are now part of my routine. Thanks for the new gems babe. This one especially. Welcome to your hotel Miss Casie. Gift card for $1,000. Shopping spree with the girls (models). Stoked! We are here at the Met Hotel for Crystal Light Purse challenge where a bunch of designers are designing handbags. Mega blog girl gang hang. So nice to catch up with all the girls. Wish Mum was here. She’d love it. I love being in hotel my myself though too. These are the designers. Had a big meet n’ greet to learn about designs etc. This prawn-magnificent was delish. I ate a whole bunch more than this though. Borderline artistic. Love you. Your fav movies right when you want them haha. (Dazed & Confused yeah here.) Olsen Twins at Tweet Valley High. Oh yeah. This week I’ve got a fashion show. Crystal Light contacted me and flattered me by saying I’m a “leading Canadian fashionista and social media maven” then asked me to be in their fashion show for the Crystal Light Purse Challenge. I get to meet a personal shopper and have a shopping spree at Holt Renfrew. OMGaga. I love fashion & style as you know. Remember last year when I was hanging out with NYC’s finest in fashion Nicole Miller & Derek Fabulous. Other babes in the show are Anita Sharma, Valerie Stachurski, Karla Moy, Erin Blaskie, Lisa Charleyboy, & Cammi Pham. Fashion show takes place Tuesday at Design Exchange, Stacey Mckenzie preps me for the runway, then I do hair and make-up. Gonna be fun!

Wedding was lovely. Took over 300 photos, so…you’ll see this dress a few more times I reckon. Can’t wait to wear it all summer too though. Both our dresses are from Bicyclette. So many geat things there if you ever need to find something. They get new stuff all the time too. Paige picks out all the clothes. Price isn’t bad either, both dresses together came to about $300. She was delivered this last night. What should I name her? Hawaii is so secretive, black market baby trade, he won’t tell me where he got it. I feel very Victoria Newman. (if you watch the Y&R that is pretty funny). I was wondering where you can get one of these things in recently and turns out you can buy one from the evian shop (or harass Hawaii for the Toronto location). Super nice out today. Hitting the streets w/ Keri this arvo. Stoked to see all the people here for UFC. They have a certain walk many of them. Muscles are fun to look at. Not my type at all though. Going to Yuk Yuks w/ Raymi tonight then Jet Cooper’s Bday at The Ossington. Will try to avoid muscley-UFCing parties 😉

Mum got these at a garage sale when I was a kid. We’ve had them forever. I can hardly believe I still fit in this one. It’s so very pretty. Took forever to iron. I really should be getting on my way now. Probs gonna rain *SOON* as I leave the house. Toot-a-looooo!

I get asked about these tights often. Adrian Hailwood gave them to me last year at NZ Fashion Week. I love them! This is what they look like up close: They’re all one piece. I need a serger, maybe I could make them? Maybe I should dedicate one whole day to NOT internetting and actually making stuff. Like remember Zoey? I have heaps and heaps of art projects piled up in my mind. I wish I had a cottage on the island or a boat with all my art things on it. I would sail into the lake and make things. Then, after I created a mass amount of those things with paint, marker & glitter everywhere I would come back and share it with the world. Back to the tights, I’m thinking about getting some over here. Would you be interested? BTW Great photo Isaac 🙂

It was all foggy like this when I woke up. So, I read a magazine. Slept with the Holt Renfrew Spring style guide and Chelsea last night. Finished her book before I dozed off. Last story was a really good one, they were all good. I like her. “Can’t live without a little attention and a lot of colour” p.11 I reckon Holts & I could be such great friends. See past magazine review of Vanity Fair here. It was so foggy out this AM. Look at this. Could not see the island. I love that. Very cute issue, “This Spring you can’t live without…“. Attended a Spring shopping party at Harry Rosen the other night. There was a band, live radio broadcast & free drinks. Julio and I had a good chuckle. I like to have fun at these fashioney things y’know. These guys are The Darcy’s and they were playing live. Rumor has it Harry Rosen plans to have more ‘Underground Lounge’ events. I approve of this rumor and fully support. Aren’t they cute? Ok my pix now. I was daydreaming about an army of Casie-Bots like this… I took my very own dream boat and we shopped denim. Option numero uno: Option deux was a hit with me, the sales guy and the ladies who walked by saying “hot”. Thanks Michael Rozenwald for your help. Sold. Shopping parties are fun. Nice to see everyone & nice clothes. One of the things I did not like was this scissor wall. Freaked me right out. One of the things I did like was this D&G ‘Cry Baby’ Johnny Depp tee. As seen on Whiz Kalifa here. (Scissors, scissor hands Johnny, connection there?) Save yourself the ≈$200 price tag & to Bang-On & make one yourself. DIY FTW!

Went to a private little shindig at Bucker’s Toronto store the other day. Say hello to Buckler PR girl, the famous April Wozny. Hot. Yeah you, boy who wears this. Total sucker for a cardigan. Won’t even talk stance. Yes. Yes please, socks and shorts and you again, with the hoodie this time. You look hot. This cardigan is perfect for me (to steal from future boyfriend). I have one pair of Buckler undies (man ones) and they are so comfortable. They look so hot on boys, girls you should get a pair for your man. TRUST ME. Let me introduce you to my new friend, Bicyclette Boutique on Queen Street. I met the darling owner Paige on Twitter and after browsing the site, I knew we would get along. The shop is filled with pretty things, vintage, white space, foreign style, mirrors and heaps of shiny things. Paige opened the shop in March, although she’s had two pop-up shops and an online presence for a while. It’s totally my kind of shop. Look at all these things. I wish I had my closet organized like a store. Paige calls it “urban meets fairytale“. See, so me. *sprinkles glitter* I was trying on outfits for the Fashion Connect panel: 265 people have tickets. Cripes. The night is about fashion & technology so, the other day I called out on Twitter to see if someone wanted to outfit me for the night. That’s how Paige & I met. Her twitter is @shopbicyclette. I love meeting people who love what they do. We had a great chat today. Hi Paige! She was at the Blog Stars talk I did last year with Raymi, Sean & Carly. Nice to know she’s had an eye on my blog. I heard about her pop up shop last summer via Twitter 😉 How great is the internet? Pretty awesome great. The shop had a steady flow of girls in & out while I was there. Then, who walked in the door? Only the lovely Carla…who I see EVERYWHERE! When I was in NZ last year I met Nick Von K., designer of accessories for people with awesome lifestyles. Heaps of rad things. I browsed the collection and picked out this super sharp claw; silver cast eagle claw on silver chain. It will cut you. He just created a this video for his new line Beauful Alchemy. He told me “the film is about transformation; how when inspired, you can be transformed, and your inspiration can take new forms and take on a life of its own.” I like this idea. The video does have one boob shot in it, this is your NSFW warning. I would seriously love to own/give you all of these pieces. My job has perks and today was a good one. This morning team Givenchy & LVMH had a few people at Sephora in Yorkville to see the new makeup products. Now that’s MY kinda breakfast. I’ve been doing work with Givenly LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy) for the last few years. They’ve been really great to me & my blog with giveaways, goodies and donating prizes for charity events. Just kidding, I don’t have a show yet! Yesterday I woke up and rode the subway just after rush hour, it was still packed. I was heading to BNotions Internet & Strategy to be filmed for an upcoming panel I’m on. They told me originally 3-5 hours and I was like ‘WHAT DO WE NEED THAT LONG FOR?’. I’m pretty speedy & no fuss to work with, especially when shooting. We were done in about an hour which included Broll too. WIN! Panel is called Fashion Connect TO, it’s at the Gladstone April 7th and it’s free. There are 89 people already attending. Get a ticket here! Last night I stopped by Abode w/ Keri & saw these lovely peeps. Awwww. Tonight during the six o’clock news there’s a special on being cool on the internet and prolific amazing tweets, I’m part of it. Not sure if it is national, it might be. Thre’s a spot running today on Global enticing you to watch. Ahhhh. I’m often nervous before things like this because despite how genuine kind/nice/grateful you are you sometimes come off different after editing. I was asked about all the great things I get to do because of my job (blog). To be honest, I’m thankful every day for what I do, I work really hard at it and Iove sharing it with you. #FINGRSCROSSED!
