Good morning. Not hung over at all. Whoa, craziest guy. Red beard, so weird. I think he was upset I took his photo. Probably thinks I took his soul or something. Oh, Queen Street. God she was cute, blonde and red lipstick, suitcase, selling clothes in the park. I love it. She turned and smile at me right after this. Like attracts like, again. See looks like Agyness Deyn. Sabrina and I did a social experiment and checked out three vastly different scenes. First stop, a singles event we got invited to. Not my thing but the girls outfits were cool. This one was my fav. Next stop, Prince Perry & the Gladstones CD release party on the roof at the Spoke Club. Much more up my scene alley. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, such nice artwork there right now. Just noticed this one. A hot girl pulled us in while walking home. She reminded me of Terrie Hawkes (yes, she was that hot). She offered us shots from the bar at Brant House… ok, twist my arm. Bad night for this guy, was on the floor and couldn’t stand up. There were lots of drunk people. I was sober when I arrived but that changed pretty quickly. My camera broke, this is about the zillionth one I’ve ruined (bows head in shame and sighs). The steel case was already breaking and now the screen is cracked. Can still take photos just can’t see them right away. AH! Will make for some interesting shots I imagine. Nap time!

Cool storm last night. Didn’t last long but it was great; energetic, powerful, heavy, beautiful.  Drove around in it.  Got wet. Loved it all. The rain drops were falling down in rounds and floating in the wind. It was lovely. Later, I went to Koodo Mobile party for the launch of their Build a Bash campaign at buildabash.ca. They are gonna give away $50,000 to some coolperson to have a party. I want it. If we’re not friends yet, add me on FB and join my party just like this. So easy. The site has some ‘issues’ yesterday and wasn’t working. I guess everyone wants to party? Yum, fried. Two of my favorites – rings & beer. Classic me = spilly willy. I won a Samsung phone, first prize of the night. I’d like to win some CASH next time. Gonna give the phone away to someone who is a Koodo lover, stay tuned. Shared my drink tickets, I was like ‘let me buy you a drink, and you a drink’ haha. Um, we were supposed to look excited in this photo guys? If I win the $50,000 to throw a party, I’ll hook up some sponsors and take it up about 1,000 notches. I’ve wanted to throw a massive guy for ages and I reckon it’s about time!! it’s not always easy but it’s always fun

“i can’t write today somethings wrong i can’t smile today life is a sad song my heart hurts so does my foot in my shoe, today is a sad day without you. “ This is a little poem published in my book in 1996. I’m working on getting that site up so you can see all the good stuff I did when I was a teeny-bopper. It runs through my head when I get writers block, prime example…today. I hate the days when I have so many thoughts I can’t even get them down. If I have to think too much about what to write I save a draft and start something new and random then see where it goes.  I’ve composed three today. My mind is racing with excitement about projects and a few other things. I’m really looking forward to Wired Wednesday tonight. I feel like I weird Wednesday right now.  Didn’t bike today, my dress is too pretty. Dating: UK men vs Canadian men from Muireann Carey-Campbell on Vimeo. Had pastels and sketch book on me. Waiting on the tarmac in Washington I drew a little bit. I love these bright colors.  Uploaded them to Borderline Artistic with their friends. Stayed up late on new unit. I love my little guy. He works good, really nice to have my very own one. Need a free night so I can organize. I feel so motivated to give my projects some wings. I’ve been working hard and I like it.

Every year when the party is over I think, that was the best Pride ever. Then, when the next year rolls around it seems to be ever more fun than the last. Definitely the case again this year.   On Saturday we went out the Northbound party in the then hit up Subspace. I had quite the outfit that night! There’s something so awesome about wearing latex. Didn’t make it to the Parade on Sunday, watched it from homer instead. The live coverageon CP24 was totally humiliating. Matt Babel and the other girl were not funny at all and they kept saying the gayest things. I don’t mean gay as in gay pride, I mean ‘dude, that was so not funny’ kinda gay. There is a big difference. We danced the night away at Fusion to the dirty beats of Mr. Matt C. It’s been a while since I heard tunes that really moved me like that. It was awesome. There were a heap of really cool peeps there. Had a blast hanging out with them all including this dude…. and this babe… The thing about Pride weekend is that every one is so happy and open and free. The people are nice. There’s not attitude, well, except from the diva’s but that’s not frowned upon. I saw a hottie doing something I’d never seen before…fork as a cig holder. Um, yeah! FYI, pobably works a-ok as a roach clip too if youre in a jam. Overall, awesome weekend. Hopefully my voice comes back  but until then, I’m reminded of just how awesome Toronto is as a city and I know we throw the best Pride. Sometimes I just can’t seem to relax. My mind races with a hundred thousand thoughts at a time and I lose my concentration and have no focus. I think there’s a good chance it might have to do with how much time I spend on the Internet soaking up information. My daily intake of news, facts, and randomness is very high. I constantly multitask and when I’m not on the Internet I have blackberry that receives three different emails, Blackberry Messenger and has wireless access.  I’m addicted to information. I’m very creative. My mind never stops. I think back to learning about entrepreneurs and how the really successful ones work their asses off.  That’s what you gotta do to get anywhere. I’ve been so busy lately and but not just going-places-busy, thoughts-process-busy. It’s really good and I like it but sometimes it gives me knots in my stomach and I feel like I’m going to puke. That’s how I felt this morning. I got up extra early so I could get to the office and check some things off my list before everyone else got in. The ride in was nice and my bike makes me feel free. I managed to get a bit ahead but I’ve still got a full day staring me in the face. Lunch meeting, after work meeting, concert, opening party, then finally bed. It’s days like this I sing the song from Sharon Lois and Bram and think it’s OK, you’re gonna be OK. It’s just another day.

You may have seen the article in the Toronto Star this weekend on Saturday’s front cover entitled ‘Generation Why Me?’ It was related to recession, broken dreams and delayed ambitions. So I think 30 IS the new 20 and after reading the article, I refer to what Mum likes to call ‘poor me syndrome’. There are alot of people who are just lazy and unmotivated. This will never change, no matter what happens in the world. Sure, we’re faced with environmental/ economic/war crisis happening but we also have more access to information, more opportunity to succeed and more ways to gaining expertise for free. Hello Internet? There are things out there you just have to go and get them, the strong will survive. I ‘ve got a B.Comm in International Business & marketing diploma.  I work in the IT dept coordinating projects for an online gaming company. Before this was the fashion industry! I’ve worked in restaurants, done PR blah blah blah…I’ve never had a problem finding a job because I’ve always been determine NOT to fail. I also agree with @d_hock the most, if someone is going to complain & wah wah about ‘poor me, I’m GenY‘, I say…shut your face. Get up and do something about it! I have many more thoughts the awesomeness that is #GenyTO but I’ll save that for another day.

I meant to post this yesterday, but forgot to hit ‘post’. Unfortunately, I was not feeling good and hated the Internet. I puked and had a nap at work. Here we go… This weekend, after making some delicious walnut bran muffins (naturally) I stopped in to the MTCC to check out the Yoga & Pilates conference.It was a very relaxed place to be since I had been at #pibTO and broke a world record earlier. I ran into some friends and also checked out some cool products. My favorite was the purses & accessories made from cork, which deserve their own post.Overall, it was probably much more interesting if you actually took a class. I just cruised around and listened to some musica. This is a video of the Hare Krishna mantra. Sing along, watch it on repeat, it’s catchy, trust me. It might even take you to a higher state of consciousness. My friend & yoga teacher Jonny is in India right now, he has a blog called Yoga Bar.Hare Krishna at the Yoga Conference from me on vims. i am now a world record breaking human

i am now a world record breaking human

This past Saturday was #pibTO and we did it. We broke the Guinness World record for Coffee Acts of Kindness and has over 600 people buying coffee for the person behind them in line. This is very exciting and impressive considering it was probably the windiest day in Toronto ever (see example video).All the notable media were out to take part and cover the event. Darius is getting ready to chat CP24 and I’m having a hoot chatting it up with Oren from Rogers. There were all kinds of entertainment news reporters flocking around. Love it. It was an amazing day filled with great people for a good cause. One hundred percent of the proceeds went to the SickKids Foundation. Check out all these good lookin‘ do-gooders!! You can catch other mentions about #pibTO in today’s Metro, BlogTO, Nitch blog. One of my favorite parts of the day was Mr.Scott Jackson beatbox champion. He is amazing. something sweet in the air

Tonight I am meeting with the team of organizers for Pay it Backward day, which is on Saturday at 1pm. It’s going to be a fun Saturday afternoon! I hope to see lots of peeps out for a good cause and great fun. There are lots of sponsors and entertainment planned. Sign up on FB. I’ll be there, being myself and having fun of course. I wonder who’s bringing the Bailey‘s for my coffee? Or just anything sweet really. Saying that I would really love someone to bring a baileys anyway. I’d definitely love it if someone brought a Baileys Red Velvet drink for me to try. That would be very sweet. Although I guess I just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully someone will see my hint about the baileys though! I am joking before anyone asks, it would just be a rather lovely thing for someone to bring! More importantly though, you should all make sure that you can come to the Pay it Backword day, it would mean so much so many people, so it’s really worthwhile doing. I can guarantee that it will be a fun Saturday afternoon! So bring your kids, bring you whole family and just be prepared to have fun! I know that I will certainly enjoy myself… particuarly if someone brings me some Baileys… Today is the birthday of my favorite Toronto Blogger, Raymi the Minx. If you don’t know her, you should. She is the best diarist and has the awards to prove it. I saw these cupcakes while I was getting groceries at lunch and captured them all to send through the Internet to Raymi and wish her a Happy 26th Birthday!

Last night was really, really windy. I was woken by the fierce raindrops on my window. Yesterday went to the art shop and then I can home and made art with these guys. Mum is in the city today as we are going to see sister dance at the Raptors game. I took her for a tour of my office this morning and to the Old York. I never go to the office on weekends and I accidentally set off the alarm and all the sirens were going off and I just looked at mum & laughed. I saved the day by calling a lifeline and getting him on the phone before the alarm company did. Phew. Was a close one. No cops showed up. #thankyouverymuch

I wrote an article a few months back about a fascinating artist named Michael Golland. Afterwards, I found out that it was going to be the feature cover story! I was quite excited given I’m yet to have ‘write a cover story’ checked off my list. An excerpt is below. canadian family you say, ma?

I just had a long chat with Mum who just returned from New Zealand. I miss it. I want to go back there so bad. She told me a story about the very tip of the North Island called Cape Reinga. It is so very beautiful. She said that New Zelander’s (The Kiwi’s!) are very creative and they place much of attention & value on the arts and artsy things. That makes me feel awesome.
