This one time I tried to do a cleanse. I made/drank the cayenne pepper, lemon, honey, water blend for about 8 hours. I hated it. I was so hungry after a long starving day at the office that I grabbed a big mac on the way home. I used to work in an office in the financial district and wear a suit every day. I had a meeting each morning called “Red Zone” where we went over accounts and urgent business. We had “Red Zone” again at 2pm and I worked really long hours. One day my boss called me into his office and said something like “Case, you don’t seem like you’re having fun anymore?“. I wasn’t. I was doing freelance PR on the side, I had a blog, I hated my job. I told him I didn’t like what I was doing and I thought about quitting but needed my two weeks pay. He said I could take my two weeks and be done end of day. I was thrilled! Freedom at last. I worked at Hemingways for a few months, a well known Kiwi restaurant in Yorkville. It was way more fun and I made the same money. Anyhow this whole story started with the idea that I am once again revisiting the idea of doing a cleanse this week. Starting Thursday, Total Cleanse is sending me 3 days of juice to drink and I’m kinda excited about it. (Starting it right after a Wednesday’s Jack Daniels party.) Our condo gym gets new treadmills Friday which is good motivation to finally get back to the gym. Yippee. Have you ever done a cleanse? Tips, tricks. Anything is appreciated. View PostOnce I thought I lost the contents my first external hard drive. It was November 16, 2005. I was heart broken. Like no other love I’ve ever had, it was my everything. Devastated. Distraught. Thinking about that day now, and you reading this, my heart, it still hurts, feels like like a day old punch. I went to the bar and I got a martini. What the hell else was I supposed to do, I LOST goddamn EVERYTHING?! There was a hole in my heart. And it was bleeding. So I wrote… #1 now i must write. today i think i lost my work, my life my story. my external drive showed up empty. my brain is very full. the words i wrote, can not be gone. i must remember what is lost. _______________ #2 where what now here me loud my story goes untold a life worth living a legend will unfold _________________ #3 life lost. a legend burried deep within the walls four of them that hold my life a broken link holds it togehter a photo in my mind it is all remembered. __________________ Later that day, I decided to take all the cords apart (there were two to connect it to my PC, it was 2006) and put them back together. It turned back on. I didn’t lose anything. The end. Lessons learned: 1) Make sure you back up. 2) Drama inspires creativity. 3) I might be rtrd. 🙂

It’s in collaboration with Canadian fashion designer David Dixon, fashion & design photographer George Whiteside, sculptor Bruno Billio and Thrush Holmes, popular artist, painter & owner of Thrush Holmes Empire. I love the creativity. I could live here. Maybe one day I will. These photos were taken the night before it opened and shot from outside.

Bubbles are fun too. I love this kini. Nice shot photographer. We had so much fun dancing. I heard “Born This Way” about 200 times yesterday. I’m always amazed by how many nude people are in the streets. Mind boggling. We are so cool us Canadians. So epic. Water was infused with lemon & vanilla, it smelled like ShaSha lemon snaps. DELICIOUS! Thanks Raymi for connecting me & ShaSha! You were missed Raymbo! Streets were so packed. It was great having everyone call out to you from the streets. I love crowds & the spotlight. View PostThis photo means something really special to me. It reminds me how much I, we have grown and changed over the past couple years. Erin, Satish & I (below) were on an aweosme team that came together in Jan. 2009 to create the first big Twitter event Toronto ever had. Twitter was slowly catching on at the time and the event was part of a global thing called Twestival. Last night, Twestival 2011 took place and it was awesome. It was a totally new team of people who took the initiative to create the event and I was proud and happy to be there. Twestival OG organizer group hug, my happy moment of the night. The first Twestival was at CiRCA and we donated to charity:water. Remember that place? My sis was there, she was a Raptors girl back then. She’s the blonde if you don’t already know/can’t tell. I love her and the Royal Wedding is one thing I really love. I will 100% be up watching despite the time difference. One of the best things about having a blog is keeping memories. I found this one post title “you wouldn’t believe me if i told you” from 2009. I had been asked to go to this fashion show for Puma and in my post after it I wrote: I’d love to do something else for Puma downtown or online please! Imagine how amazing that is for her, Lady Gaga I love you. Tonight is the 3rd annual CanLit at The Biz Media. Last year GenYTO partnered with CanLit for an EPIC win of a night. It was so much fun.
