View PostSeriously, I met the band This Side Up at Bud Camp in the summer and became friends on FB. As you do. He told me they were coming to TO but I had no idea they were the Kings of Beer at the big rig for the Tailgate party. I showed up, was VIP in past the line and handed a beer. It was awesome. My friend asked if I wanna go to the game, NFL (not a sports fan) but I said yes. Free food and beer and at least a 20/1 ratio boys to girls. I’m still at the game now, football is looooooong. I have no idea who is winning or what the hell is going on. Team Montreal is really fun and the Bud Girls are great. They also had make your own poutine and nachos. Today is awesome. I’m giving away a Virgin flight tomorrow. It’s Upgrade Monday…wait for it! Love you. PS: I am also in my fucking pajamas!! Aaaah.

I’ve not been much of a worker outer the past few years, however, last week I had a very different gym experiece. You know what? I really liked it too. Shirt is from Me to We in support of Africa, shorts are American Apparel from Bud Camp, socks from AA too. Hipster workout. haha. It was super rad to have someone show you what to do then push you to do it. I enjoyed this ladder thinger. I often make things into dance moves. The young ballerina in me will never die/grow up. Did you ever notice ballerina has the work ‘baller’ in it? Pairs, duet. Good form. I rocked the pushup plank style going down and back. I did such a good job that instead of going plank all the way he made me do pushups in between. Urgh, remind me NOT to try hard with a trainer. You will only end up hurting more. Look at my pipes. I’m huge. Squats too, check them muscles. I died a little post ladder. I dont like normal gyms cause I feel self conscious, and insecure because I don’t really know what to do. It might be different if I had a partner. I often stick to the treadmill cause it’s self explanitory. The workout here was really fun cause we used different equipment and I had a coach. View PostPretty excited for this week. Monday night I’m hosting a benefit concert at Supermarket in Kensington. The show is raising money for Kids Help Phone. If you’re around, come. Details below. Tuesday is my last day home before I go on vacation. I’m gonna *try and digital detox. I’ve only missed ONE day of internetting over the past year (see Bud Camp 2010) and I feel like taking a break. Wow, really feels good to say type that. I’ve partnered with some peeps to do some holiday gift giving while I’m away. One day I will go Oprah style and give you all my favourite things. I’m also planning to look back at things from the past year, reflect. Having a blog is a great way to remember the stuff you do. I forget all kinds of things, so it’s quite fun to look back. My blog header used to say “people, places, things, thoughts, in attempt to keep more memories.” Looking back is a great way to think about the future and what I want to achieve in the new year. Wednesday evening I fly to Boston to meet my friends. Thursday we fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a week in the sun. I’m really looking forward to that very moment when my feet hit the sand and the sun is on my face! WHY WHY is tumblr not back up yet 🙁 Omg, omg. Wahhh. View PostBut it was fun. Seeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Exhausted from a whole day on the bus with the Bud gurlz. Sweet thangs they are. (HIIIIII to you if you are reading girls!) Everyone was super nice and fun especially the security and event staff. One employee girl was bit snooty but I reckon it’s because I got an outfit and didn’t wear it. Yay me! I’m wearing it NOW as I BLOG. 🙂 Overall, we had a fun time. The food was pretty good too. Nice getting there before all the boys arrived on Friday. There were so many boys. About 150 winners each with a plus 1. Watching them get off the bus and come down the gaultlet past the girls was charming. I missed the internet but not as much as I thought. Wilderness was pretty nice. Fresh air, stars, woodchips and fire. We stayed offsite at a house with full bathroom and tv which was great. Freaked out over chipmunks. I though I liked them, but no. They are cute from far but far from cute. Rascals, all nut eating and scurrying and stuff. They need to have mobile charging stations at these type of things. The cabin stayers had no outlets. None!! I hardly had phone service and couldn’t checkin on foursquare. Wahhhh. Chatted a dude about getting the mayorship but my phone was not playing nice so he got it. Learned for about $5,000 per carrier you can get a temp tower put up. That would be badass, wifi for everyone. WordPress mobile, twitter, facebook and posting via email to tumblr FTW. I’ll be covering the week’s event, meeting designers and talking with sponsors. Stoked. Photos by Lynsie Roberts Since I’ve been to NZ and AM a Kiwi I’ve grown up with New Zealnd influenced style this is REALLY exciting to me. They are always ahead of North American style over there. In 2004 I came back from down under wearing cowboy boots, skinny jeans with a mullet and a fedora. Two years later, skinny jeans on everyone. I can not WAIT to see how they Fashion Week in New Zealand. Style parade!! I leave for NZ Sept. 18th for about 10 days. Will hopefully get to see some of my Kiwi cuzzies. Probs rippin’ itr eal late with Brody Jenner somewhere getting a new tattoo. haha I really hope we’re in a cabin with showers and stuff. I’ve packed wellies and warm clothes with daisy dukes, bikini’s. Naturally. I’ve looked at a bunch of the activities and I don’t think it’s safe for me to do them. I’m not really into water sports or paintball. I see them as a way to get bruised up or broken. Remember last year when I fell 12 feet and fractured two bones in my back? Yeah. I do. I also hope that there is wifi. Pray for me! Have you seen this yet? I die. I love her. Lady Gaga RULES.

Good day yesterday mostly around the house working on a couple upcoming projects. Went for an evening stroll with Sabrina to Bellwoods and visited a friends roof patio for some wine and sunset. Stopped by CTS on the way, my fav shop. They had a bunch of items that were $1 and I picked up a couple vintage dresses I can totally do a Pretty in Pink switch to. I’m giving Zoey (my sewing machine) a workout this winter. Heading to the Fairlie Agency for a little co-working woith Carly-Anne today. Haircut at 4 with Darren, think I’m gonna buzz it one last time for summer. Dinner with Jeremy and some friends tonight, we finally all get to meet his crush. Loser karaoke after that but I’m gonna have to call it an early night. I still haven’t packed for Bud Camp and we leave at 7am. Check out this vid I make a cameo in by My City Lives. View PostSunday we packed up for the last day of our adventure and said bye to Jonathan. HUGE thank you to him & Wakestock Canada for hooking up the whole party thing for us. We had a blast. THANK YOU!! Made a pit stop for outfit changes. Needed to be more suited for the weather. Caught some actual Wakeboarding. The Virgin bus wasn’t as bangin’ on Day 2. BTW did you vote for me in the Virgin contest? These boys all look they love Hollister. Weather was not nearly as nice Day 2 and it rained a bit here and there. This is where the Virgin Back Stage tent was most special. These babes are Rebel Emergency. They were handsome and sweet. Music was pretty good too. They opened for Snoop Dog the night before. There was no way I was doing the Sprite rope jump. Get my hair wet & go in the freezing water? Aaah. Khaleed was less afraid of getting his hair wet and totally went for it. Awesomerrrrrrrrrr! That pretty much sums up our weekend. It was my first time at Wakestock and it was a blast. I’ll do it again next year for sure.
