Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving last year all the kids were home. Boys. Girls. It was so fun.  I love thanksgiving because it’s just about hanging out and hangout out is my favourite.  I miss my family in New Zealand. I can’t wait to see Mum. Taking Dad to Canada Rugby final this weekend, VIP. This is my first actual “long weeeknd” in two years. I have worked every day no matter what day it was. I’m not gonna change much about what I do on the holiday but it changes how I feel. Thanksgiving Day is a holiday to give thanks for the blessings in one’s life, particularly the harvest. It is a day off work for many Canadians. Happy Friday & BON WEEKEND! <3 CASIE

CIBC Run for The Cure 2012 – September 30!

This year I’m participating in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on September 30, 2012. I’m running with Lauren, Sarah, Courtney, and Harmony as TEAM 5138008. Get it? BOOBIES! I’ve been training by running, dancing (joined a burlesque troupe!), eating healthy, and mentally preparing for 5k. At this point I can to 2.5k  and by 12 days from now, I’ll be ready! When I think about the estimated over 23,000 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year in Canada, I’m happy to be supporting a cause that touches so many of us. I heard yesterday about a friends Mum being diagnosed with Breast Cancer and I wrote this post right away. As of right now I have raised 16% of my personal goal of $300. I would like to blow that number out of the WATER! You can make a difference. With your support, the Foundation will continue funding breast cancer research, education and health promotion initiatives across the country, making a difference from coast to coast. Good morning, good morning! Had a great weekend with the fams and all my besties. Cooked food for the week last night. Started a new book. Cleaned the house. Had a great sleep and woke up early. Today is Mum’s birthday. I took her on a shopping spree at 3F (I’m on the Board of Directors there) and got her a couple new outfits. The store has a massive sale and you can get 10 items for $100 right now. We have a meet & greet with The Sheepdogs before the show tonight. I’m stoked to take Mum, Jenie and a few friends thanks to my friends at Canadian Club. Hopefully it’s not too chilly by the water at Echo Beach. Looking forward to rocking out with my girls tonight! TIFF DAY 1 – Tastemakers Lounge & Swarovski 007 Red Carpet

Whoa. It’s here. Today might busiest day in my 2012 calendar. Not. Even. Kidding. If I can make all my appointments and events I will question my humanity. Am I robot/alien? You will never know. (Shhh you in the back there, keep your secrets!) I have so much gratitude to give for my sister being PA (Production Assistant) on my show today, BMW sponsoring drivers for our Fashion’s Night Out team, tech related media interview in the AM, so may awesome events, my hair growing (don’t laugh), having my nails done (this is serious), and my bestie Lozzie Lauren O’Nizz being invited to all the same things as me. Thank you universe. Yesterday I went to media day at the TIFF Tastemakers Lounge put on by Rock-It Promo and I was SPOILED. Rotten! TIFF is truly more fun than a birthday or holidays because all the media friends are out, everyone is receiving gifts, and celebrating. Films take the first place for TIFF but trust me that fashion is a verrrrry close second. This is the eighth annual Tastemakers Lounge, it’s a Canadian gifting suite hosted during the Toronto International Film Festival. It brings local and international guests to indulge in exceptional products that Tastemakers Lounge is known for.  This was my third year and perhaps the best! I feel a bit bad showing off but I made a care package for Barbie, gave a Le Dolci cupcake to the hotel concierge, Pop Chips to my concierge, and will treat Mum & Jenie too. A Hard Days Night

A Hard Days Night

It’s Tuesday and you are back to work. Hold your head high and put on a smile. I hope you had an awesome weekend. Lucky for us the weather is warm and the sun is gonna be out all week. I relaxed a lot this weekend. Spent time alone, got good sleeps. I wrote, I read, I cooked, I cleaned. I laid on the couch with the tv on playing with my iPhone. It was magical. One of the best things about ‘double Sunday’ as Raymi calls it is one extra day to do things you have not been doing. I even sewed something with Zoey my sewing machine. I feel new again!
