Thankful to Have You in My Life

We went to have lunch with Dad then dinner with Mum in Cambridge, Ontario. The leaves are all changing and the are was warm and fresh. We spaced out the family time with a lovely walk in the park along the boardwalk where I used to go as a kid. Still feeling so full and we’ve got a fridge topped with leftovers. I reckon it’s time for a diet! I really love this time of year. Change is good. I’m ready for change. Have a big adventure coming up near the holidays. Can’t wait to share those details with you soon! Hope your week is off to a great start. We’ve only got three days till the weekend! Thanksgiving, Giving Thanks All Around!

Looking forward to going home with my BF to have lunch and dinner with my parents today. Haven’t seen Dad in ages. Not as long as this photo, lol, I just love this one. Too bad all the sisters won’t be there. There’s 1/5 missing from this gif but two years ago we had a blast at Thanksgiving. All the kids were there and I made gifs of us. So fun 🙂 We went on an epic walk through the trees and down by the river. Hard to believe it was two years ago! I’ve been in TV and movies before but this documentary is the first time I’m in a real film festival.  It’s nominated for an award too! Planning to get my nails done, a fresh shave on my head, and a new tattoo on Friday for the 13th. (I know Mum reading this will be happy cringing to hear that! ha. Tonight was a good one. Hair did, cooking, cleaning, packing, and a little Netflix. I’m going to @Disneyland in California!

I’m going to @Disneyland in California!

I’ve been invited to the happiest place on EARTH! Yes, it’s true. I’ll be spending six days next month in sunny California touring Disneyland, staying at THE Disneyland Hotel, and hanging out in the OC and LA with their tourism boards. It’s every  girls dream come true! I’m hoping to recreate a photo of me with Mickey Mouse that was taken when I was a toddler. Mum, did you find that yet? These pix are from the Disneyland archives (via LA Times) and this little ticket is the first one ever sold. It’s been a while since I had a vacation and I can’t wait. Disney has also invited my BFF Lauren, a bunch of other bloggers, and I’m bringing my BF. I’ve never been so thankful to be  a blogger! I can see me wearing tulle, and Mickey Mouse ears the whole time. Ahhhhh! I’ll be sharing  moments as they happen on Twitter/Instagram and documenting the entire trip with my new Canon DSLR. I love love love this Color Bug product by  Kevin Murphy (Australia). I’ve been using it for a few months. Colour in, wash out. It works like a chalk on your hair and is a totally perfect perk up when you need to get your roots done! Works on all different hair shades and comes in a variety of colours including pink, orange, lime green, white, purple, and GOLD. This morning I was feeling Friday lazy, plus am about to go get my hair done tonight, so threw this in with a couple curls and VOILA. Stopped to snap a few photos with my new DSLR on the way to work. I’m looking to teach a Master Class in Self-Photography one day. Peace out peeps, hope you hae a killer Friday night. I’m heading for a drink with the girls from work, then hair appointment, and probably a wild night at home watching a movie with my love. Real and Imagined

Got sent an advanced uncorrected proof from Simon & Schuster Canada. Thank you! Can’t wait to start it today, deep in the forest woods of Muskoka. I absolutely LOVE getting books in advance. Something so magical about it. We spent heaps of time at the library as kids. Summer reading club FTW.  Thanks Mum for that. YOU ARE THE BEST MUM! Got to have lunch with her and Dad with my sister this week for my birthday. Prettyyyyy awesome. Love you guys! Just watched Beauty and the Beast on VHS. I forgot he gave her the massive library. I love that library. And the dress. Belle is my fav Disney Princess. (You have one too, don’t lie to yourself now!) It’s kinda cold and gloomy up here this weekend but that’s perfect for writng so I don’t mind one bit. Enjoy the day 🙂 CASIE

Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It’s my birthday! Yahooo. I don’t like to make that big of a deal, I celebrate myself and make the most of each day all year round. I just wanna hang out with my friends and eat some good food. My love got me this beauty ukulele and I can’t wait to sit in the park or the dock and play it. I’ve got a few chords down and I’ll be playing ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ in no time. Have a dinner planned with a bunch of my besties after work. Mum and Dad are in town and will be stopping by the office at some point. Can’t wait to hug them both!
