NOISEY + VICE present: Before Monday Comes – Berlin

Exciting news! Meet my first post in a partnership with one of my fav companies in the world, VICE! I’ve been reading the mag for about 10 years after finding it outside a cool little boutique in Bondi Beach, Australia. I’ve blogged heaps about VICE since then and attended a ton of VICE parties in back alleys, abandoned spaces, and hipster hangouts. VICE’s music channel Noisey, is launching a new series called Before Monday Comes. The 8 episode series is the ultimate weekend adventure of eating, drinking, dancing, music, and partying across five cities in five countries. It looks like a whole lotta fun, and partying, and fun. Check out this episode from Berlin and get a glimpse into some of the worlds most exciting underground music scenes via Dismantle and Boxfresh. The series is them travelling around and checking out party scenes in New York, Beijing, Berlin, Stockholm and London as part of a partnership with Boxfresh. I love it. I’ve been going to the cottage in Muskoka almost every weekend since the start of May. I love it. Spent heaps of time in the car listening to tunes. My friend who works at KANETIX told me about a contest for $500! Um, yeah? Ted Baker London – NYC 5th Avenue Grand House

Started the day in style with Starbucks, sunshine and a smile. This is the lovely Patricia ⬆ and ⬇ that’s not how you spell my name but I didn’t care one bit, I was in NY and it was Friday. ❤ This was en route to the essence NY head office, (Justin Bieber’s concert sponsor). NY cabs are cheaper than Toronto, feels like you drive for ages before you hit $20. Cool 3d art installation painting downstairs. Great view from upstairs. Our next stop was the Ted Baker London 5th Avenue Grand House. It is gorgeous. Still looks like an old house in many ways, even how the clothes are hung and accessories displayed. Right away I said, “WHEN CAN I MOVE IN?” I loved it. I adore the new prints from Ted. I got a this great new bag, pants, a few scarves, and much needed grown lady wallet. I absolutely love travelling. It’s less than three weeks before I head to California for six days with bloggers and best friends. I can’t wait! Working on a post this week for the NY Ted Baker blog about my fav Toronto spots. Any suggestions? LMK! See other posts w/ Ted and me here. I’m going to make this week really, really great. Heading to Manhattan and Staying in a Dream

Bag packed and heading to Porter after work. Catching a 7:30pm to Newark, NJ w/ my press escort aka Patricia. My trip is with essence cosmetics, the UK’s #1 brand who also happens to be the title sponsor of JB’s tour. We arrive in NY just in time to head out on the town for Thursday night drinks. I was last in NY in January and about a year before that so pretty stoked to be back in the Big Apple! We’re staying at Dream NYC in Manhattan and apparently all of JB’s peeps too. Tomorrow I plan to sleep in then hit up the NY Ted Baker store to get a new outfit for Friday night. Hardly packed anything! Counting down till 5:30pm when I head to airport. I’m going to @Disneyland in California!

I’ve been invited to the happiest place on EARTH! Yes, it’s true. I’ll be spending six days next month in sunny California touring Disneyland, staying at THE Disneyland Hotel, and hanging out in the OC and LA with their tourism boards. It’s every girls dream come true! I’m hoping to recreate a photo of me with Mickey Mouse that was taken when I was a toddler. Mum, did you find that yet? These pix are from the Disneyland archives (via LA Times) and this little ticket is the first one ever sold. It’s been a while since I had a vacation and I can’t wait. Disney has also invited my BFF Lauren, a bunch of other bloggers, and I’m bringing my BF. I’ve never been so thankful to be a blogger! I can see me wearing tulle, and Mickey Mouse ears the whole time. Ahhhhh! I’ll be sharing moments as they happen on Twitter/Instagram and documenting the entire trip with my new Canon DSLR. Adieu Montréal, tu étais belle.

Le tired today. It’s very rainy and gloomy here. Currently experiencing the worst hair ever. En route home from Montreal. I think this was the shortest trip I’ve ever taken. Event last night was good. Next stop, Toronto. Heading to Fort York for the Arts & Crafts Field Trip today. I hope it’s not too cold! Ok, engine started. Ready for takeoff! CASIE

Montreal! Here I Come! Vroooooooooom!

No, I’m not driving to Montreal but I AM en route to MTL via Porter Airlines for the F1 launch event Film Fashion F1 hosted by Community and sponsored by Porsche and Martini. I’ve loved racing since I can remember so this is pretty exciting. I’d love to being Dad but this is a work trip so I’ll be busy the whole time. Sorry Dad, will take pix! My first race was the Toronto Indy in high school and a friends family business sponsored a driver. It was AMAZING! I had full pit passes and spent part of the afternoon during the qualifiers lounging on a boat outside Ontario place with some Hawaiian Tropic girls. I really wish I had photos but it was WAY before I was on the internet and digital cameras weren’t invented yet. [No comments on that please!] The last time I went to the Honda Indy in Toronto I arrived to my spot just as the cars were crossing the finish line and landed some camera time on TV. That kinda stuff always happens to me! Boarding my plane now. Hope you are having a lovely day!

Girls, Tattoos, Attitude + Sun

I haven’t decided to colour in the owl on my arm or not. I like it like this. I think it’s time for some new work. I have a few ideas but it’s time to get drawing. Some nice girl tattoos on this blog I found. My right arm has tattoos because I’m left handed and I draw them on first. Had a jerk chicken sandwich on the patio at Harlem Underground yesterday. Was ok, made me miss Ackee Tree, that place had the best jerk sandwich ever. Loving this warm summer sunshine. The lake waves are crashing on the dock. Rdio cottage mix in the background. Beaut! May Long Weekend – Summer is here!

Had a great steak dinner last night then sat out on the dock. Finished the night having a beer in the hot tub by the moonlight. It was beautiful! En route to put the boat in the water. Went to garage sale. Found some movies and a long, black, Angora sweater. It was 75¢ but I have her $2 and they laughed their heads off. It was pretty funny. Have an awesome day. Wear sunscreen! And bug spray. I got eaten alive by bedroom intruders last night! So many mozzies. CASIE

Beautifully Terrifying Thunder Clouds

The clouds flying in to Toronto this morning at 6am were so incredibly beautiful. It was like a movie. Floating through the air with these big fluffy things. It was turbulent and lightening ready to strike any moment. I could see it flashing across the sky in clusters f clouds. All I could think was ‘please get us safely to the ground’. The landing was smooth and I exited the airport within about 15 minutes. Photos are taken with HTC One and the video was magically put together by the phone’s photo assistant, Zoe. She’s awesome! I’m planning to show her off in an upcoming Coral episode of THIS. Subscribe to the channel at youtube.com/coral. It’s so lovely outside. When I type Disaronno my phone changes it to disarming. Always makes me thing of the movie ‘Closer’ that word. It’s cloudy with a chance of rain here today. Vancouver, Vancasie

Hey! Yesterday was a busy day. Went to work until noon, had a lunch party with the office, then a car picked me up to go to Vancouver. Reminded me of New Zealand so much as I was flying in and driving to the hotel. Beautiful city. Small though. Feels a bit like Auckland mixed with Austin at the moment.
