Most of the record was written over three months spent in a remote cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin – after a breakup!
Recognize that voice? Kanye West sampled “Woods” for “Lost In This World” and got Justin Vernon to contributed vocals for his lasted release “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”

Bon Iver’s second album (titled “Bon Iver”) comes out June 21st, but until then you can stream the entire new album here!
I recommend you do so, alongside some tea and a cozy blanket during the next thunderstorm.

Stuck at airport family with bunch of kids behind us. They are annoying.

Update: Erica Ehm and the mommy bloggers went to TOWN on giving me hell for this post. Thanks for the hits and personal attacks. I was stuck in an airport and these parents from Florida let their kids run ALL OVER THE PLACE. Who does that? I wasn’t attacking ‘every parent’.

I’ve decided to be annoying too. I’m using three outlets, ahem…airport asshole. Please don’t be offended by this post if you have kids. My parents used to travel with me heaps as a kid. If anything, feel sorry for me! I am a terribly creative person trapped in an airport with a bunch of misbehaved rascals. They are running all around the place, being loud, can’t hear the announcements, and the parents aren’t doing a thing!

Dad loves racing so to be working with a race car driver is pretty neat. Especially an epic, race winning child prodigy one.

Sky & I were twerkin’ hard in the office aka the rig. She is 11.

We were tweeting our hearts out during the bike race portion. She is a riot. RA RA RIOT.

I was telling Kyle how he’s gonna have ladies all ova’ him. He’s so dang cute. Any of you out there 13ish? He’s single.

Race time. Team #71.

Was a totally crazy race. Started with 25 drivers, finished with 16ish. About 20 cautions, three ambo’s. This one went straight to hospital, back injury. Hope you’re ok man.

Waiting for the track to be cleared then take a few laps to warm up the tires.

(Get’s easily distracted) HAHAHAHAHAHHA.

Best sleep of my life last night.

Ocean, I love you. Your melodies were the perfect lullaby.

Best bed ever. Huge wooden headboard is my love. So beautiful.

Went walking Pensacola Beach by myself last night. It was so lovely. I had no idea the Gulf water was so warm. About to head to the beach now post brekky. Map of where I am here.

This is the pier right outside my hotel.

Remember the Gulf Oil Spill last year? Covered this same beach in tar balls for about eight miles. Same Pier.

Oil came ashore on the beach overnight, and the waters were closed to the public. Geologists dug trenches aong the beach and there were veins of oil buried in approximately 4-6 inches of sand.

Crazy eh.

“It looked like tobacco spit and smelled foreign, and it pooled in yesterday’s footprints as far as you could see. State officials called it the worst show of crude on shore from the gusher 120 miles away.” Tampa Bay News

Looked out the window and saw this big thing downstairs waiting for us. OMG.

Yeppers, that big fancy limo was for Chantelle & I. Big thanks to Calvin & Regency Limo for setting up the most awesome airport delivery ever. I had never been in a limo before so I was absolutely buzzing with excitement! Chantelle has been lucky enough to ride in a limo in the past when her friend hired a limo service newark
for her 30th birthday. She was still excited to travel like a celeb though!

Our driver Andrew even got us coffee. LOVE YOU! It was 5:30am, so necessary!

Sunrise was real pretty this AM. I should wake up earlier more often. I really love mornings.

Givenchy Play – Smell is soft, feminine & good for summer. Bottle is metal so great for travel, throwing in purse etc.
Givenchy Blush Gelee – Hot pink jelly blusy, one colour for all skin tones. First blush I’ve used on regular.
The Body Shop Body Butter Duo in Vanilla – Your skin is happy when you moisturize, this is soft and I really love the smell. It’s not too strong.
Ombrelle Face Cream SPF 60 – Your face is your fotune baby, protect it.

You know I love Gaga. I’ve told you a bunch of times before. Remember the MMVAs last year? Kingi from Peach Berserk made me a custom dress with all the big performers on it: Bieber, Katy, Drake, Miley. I was excited.

I worked with some really great people at Much & MTV last year, the MMVA experience is very memorable. My job was Social Media Queen and it was super fun to say the least. Blog post from MMVA Day 2010 is here.

I’ve got a couple things planned for MMVA weekend this year. One is a party w/ Gaga’s DJ, Lady Starlight. 🙂

Starlight will be rocking The Velvet Underground (510 Queen St West) after the MMVA’s June 19 in Toronto. Doors open at 11.

Was lovely down by the lake yesterday arvo.

Fatal attraction to cuteness. Katie said I reminded of of Gwen here. I love Gwen too.

HTO Park is one of my fav spots because there is (fake) beach (sandbox). Good one bringing tripod Chantelle!

Fun watching the boats go by. Time for another Mariposa Cruise I reckon. They have an Ice Cream social on Saturday.

Picked up a bunch of healthy snacks. Friends, sun, snacks, park, so love!

Went to Robyn at Echo Beach w/ Raymi & Teach Friday night.

It was awesome. Echo Beach is a new fully outdoor venue inside the Molson Amphitheatre. Stoked to hit that up a bunch this summer. Close to home & cool outdoor spot. Total win.
