Dance, New Jewels, Women’s Mecca, SUN LOVE!

Went for a nice walk at sunset yesterday before dance and am so happy the weather is finally nice. I always feel a warm spot in my heart walking down Palmerston, my family is from Palmerston North, New Zealand. Can’t help but think of them and the beautiful NZ countryside. I don’t usually read my horrorscope (:P!) but this week it seems the Toronto Metro has me in mind. It’s coming up to my birthday month and I’m feeling great about the next year.   Last night at dance was so much fun! I absolutely love being in Army of Sass. We get in a good workout, learn a new combo, and practice our routine for the show in June. My stomach muscles were hurting from laughing so hard, it’s really great to be surrounded by so many wonderful ladies.     A video posted by Carla Catherwood (@carla_catherwood) on Apr 16, 2015 at 6:47am PDT Spent yesterday afternoon working out of the Women’s Mecca office in Liberty Village. It’s absolutely beautiful and the skylight fills the office with sunshine. Was happy to stumble on one of my fav books kicking around the office. I read over this one every couple months for motivation and creative stimulation.      Visiting my sister in the Beaches and recording an audition video for something fun. Put out good vibes for meeeee! We used to live at Broadview/Danforth and take the subway over this bridge all the time. Brings back fond memories!   Shoutout to my friends at Thomas Sabo Canada for sending this beautiful gift, I haven’t worn and anklet since I was a kid and love it. Party in the #FHQ! Congrats Faulhaber on the Office Expansion!

Last night was a busy one! I went to four events before 9pm and made it home in time to watch a movie and get to bed at a decent hour. I’ve really matured over the years, eh? Pictured above one of my fav bloggers Jay Strut on the #FHQ couch at Faulhaber’s event. They just did a MASSIVE expansion of the office which now includes a showroom.  The team brought together a stellar group of people and so many familiar faces filled with hugs and love. PR often is so behind the scenes to make  magic happen. I’ve been working with the WONDERFUL team there for some time now. You might not know it was them but they are behind all my stuff with Ted Baker, essence cosmetics (Bieber in NYC!), Thomas Sabo (the UK trip!), Dermologica,  and a few more things here and there. Fashion week events kicked off last night with Mastercard Stylicity at The Bay on Queen Street. The fashion community gathered for an exclusive event seeking to redefine the eye catching denim-on-denim Canadian Tuxedo. Special guests included The Coveteur’s Stephanie Mark and HBC Fashion Director Suzanne Timmins. I rolled up with Brock Mclaughlin and we were up to are usual shenanigans of course. I picked up these glasses from Top Shop. They reminded us of Andy Warhol. These book trees are beautiful. I wish I had room for one at the house. Thanks Mastercard Stylicity and The Bay for the gift card. We all got to pick a card from a magical bowl and although they each had  some value, there was only ONE with a huge payout. Mine was $10 which I appreciate! Blogger discount? No, JK.. It was an error but I had a LOL. Where do I order these socks or high heel feet? Um, hello! She looked Emo to me. 2013 Chevy Camaro Convertable in California

We had so much fun cruising around in the 2013 Chevy Camaro Convertable in California. We randomly decided to get a rental once we got to the hotel and I’m so GLAD they had this. It was $25 more per day than a compact car  from Hertz and so totally worth it! You deff need a car in LA. I can’t imagine being on vacation or living there without a car. I loved hitting the open road and driving to the beach, top down of course. I loved Venice Beach the most. It reminded me so much of where I lived in Bondi Beach in Australia. Did you know that the real Abbot Kinney was a tobacco millionaire who founded it in 1905? Oh the things you learn on Wikipedia.

Exciting (secret project) planning after work tomorrow followed by an event on the roof at Thompson  with work + Molson.
