I bet when you see this thing at a construction site near you the first thing that comes to mind is not shoes? It’s ok, I would have never thought that EITHER! I own one pair of CAT boots (See: Stella in brown) that I’m wearing right now and have worn, walked, and biked in since they arrived in September. They might be the most comfortable boots I own. Prepare to be amazed by the CAT footwear’s 2013 collection. You will be wanting! I LOVE this little shoe. There are all for your boyfriend. These are wedges. Love! Heart a flutter over these little babies. And these too. Swoon worthy boot love. The Fermenting Cellar and various buildings in the Distillery are so lovely for their sheer beauty and oldness. I have a crush on this set of chairs. Reminds me of something Mum would have at our house. There are some really, really nice styles for men. These are for someone handsome & stylish. No, not Nikki! Although I did have a real heart on for that song when it came out.  Keri and I played it on the repeater and danced in our jogging pants.  Last week I was received this awesome little portable, bluetooth speaker. Took it to the hot tub lounge and hellooooo, it’s so loud. Sounds wicked! Bass Boomz is the same company that sent me those wicked Swarovski headphones a couple months ago. They gave me a 50% discount you can use if you want to order a speaker (BBZ649103). I think most of the colours are sold out right now but hopefully that changes fast. Hot pink is available for $79.99 UK (then add 50% off!). I can’t wait till spring gets here and I can cart this little baby around in my bike basket and to the park. I walked home from the Distillery District to Cityplace last night (just over 3K) and it was lovely out. FOUR DEGREES MANG. Take those sunshiney thoughts and carry them around today. Community Service

Community Service

On Friday, March 1, some of the girls from Community Agency and I cleaned up Trinity Bellwoods Park over lunch. If you don’t know it, Bellwoods is in the heart of Queen West, between Strachan and Bathurst. It’s one of my fav places to hang out in the summer or bike through with friends. If you search ‘Bellwoods’ on my blog there are heaps of entries! March 1st was YWCA’s Big Day of Change, a Canada-wide day of action for young women to do something good in their community. Friday this week is International Women’s Day (IWD), an annual commemoration that began in the early 1900s. Our ‘Community Service’ was organized by my friend & Copy Writer Carlimia. She was featured on She Does The City earlier in the week with 12 women who organized events to make positive change. Thanks to Becca Lemire for snapping some shots too.   We had so much fun doing this together that we want to make Community (Agency) Service a regular thing. It felt so great to be outside in the sunshine at the park again. I can’t WAIt for Spring/Summer to be out in the warm air. Luckily daylight savings isn’t far away! Saw this on the news this morning and had a good laugh. Michelle Obama is the coolest First Lady EVER. I’m trying to remember my Mum doing these moves as a kid. I’m sure she had a few, the snaps. This will give you a good laugh. Enjoy! Was so nice to visit Mum this weekend. This is her, Jenie, Sean, and I back stage for The Sheepdogs concert at Echo Beach last summer. I was probably showing them something amazing on TEH INTERNET.  I’m getting so sick of winter. I want to ride my bike and play outside already! In other news, I cleaned James Dean, my lil’ 11″ Macbook Air last night using this program called Grand Perspective. It lets you creep inside your computer and see what taking up the most space. Somehow all kinds of my gmail.imap messages were saving on my unit and taking up HEAPS of space. I deleted them and now my computer is fast again. Get to know your data people! Guys, I biked to work today and I think my winter biking is coming to an end because I actually almost FROZE. I’m working like crazy  on a wicked event coming up SOON. The other week I recieved an email about the new Blundstone shoes. I’ve wanted a pair of boots for ages, so I replied right away and set up a time to visit the store. Blundstone boots come from Tasmania, Australia (I’ve been there) and all the shoe styles (like traditional boots) are unisex. Tried on both traditional boot in round & square toes, and the new shoe style. I went with the new shoe. They’re cute. Shoes retail for $149/pair and are available in Blundstone retailers across Canada and blundstone.ca. I got mine at the store on Queen West. Of course 😉 They come in three different colours. I picked chocolate suede. Ian Heaps of Blundstone Footwear said ““The new shoe style is perfect for those who want the Blundstone quality and comfort in a lighter format. “The shoes are great for around the office, but also transition well into the evening. They provide lasting comfort with Blundstone’s signature “slip on/slip off” convenience. This pair belong to Casey from the Blundstone store on Queen (same name = awesome) and hers are about a year old (left) and the other ones are brand new. I’m pretty sure my uncle has a pair of these, they always remind me of New Zealand. Guess who else wears Blundstones? The Sheepdogs. Woke up early after a super long day. Dance was great last night. Routine to Rack City, no joke. Filmed an episode of Coral TV, comes out tomorrow. Arrived first at the office. Sunshine halo at my desk. I’m so slow leaving the house.  I have a taxi problem. Wore a hat. It’s getting colder. Can’t wait to buy a new bike. Don’t have a case on my iPhone just screen protector. Work is going good. Going the to Casby awards tonight. Seeing the Hip on Saturday. Ready for the weekend. Working full time is tiring but so is freelance. I’ve been drinking less. It’s really sunny today. Maybe I’ll go for a walk at lunch. You will never be younger than you are today, do something special, do something fun, tell someone you love them. All in a days work! Thank you to the wonderful team at Praxis PR for hosting a heap of the city’s hottest ladies for the launch of new drinks by Bethenny Frankel’s brand ‘Skinny Girl’.
