Last night I went to the opening of Rudsak’s new store in the Eaton Centre. The special guest was Emily Haines of Metric who is collaborating with them on a new collection. I was fan-girling inside when Emily Haines walked in because my sister and I to listened to her Live It Out album about 100,000,000 times. Bag Rudsak, Shirt dress Joe fresh Last year Rudsak (est. 1994) did a capsule collection for their 20th anniversary inspired but rock musicians in history. This is the first time collaborating with a musician. The partnership came together though Rise Branded Entertainment, a division of Universal Music Canada. “I’ve always been fascinated by the close relationship between fashion and music. Fashion | Rudsak, A Sample Sale for The Cool Rebel

Popped into the Rudsak sample sale yesterday just after 10am when it opened and there were heaps of shoppers filling their arms. It comes at the perfect time of year since winter just hit! There’s a ton of shoes, bags, accessories (hats, gloves, wallets etc), as well as winter coats and spring/fall leather jackets. In a preview of the sale the other day I picked up a new leather/fur jacket, purse, and boots. The sale is at 99 Sudbury and runs November 13th-16th. Oh hey there! This week I hosted the opening of Rudsak Canada’s new Yorkdale store with fellow fashion bloggers Julio (fashionights.com) and Nicole (daintygirl.ca). This year celebrates 20 years of the brand and Rudsak launched a Capsule Collection with 20 unique pieces, 20 of each, inspired of cool rebels in rock n’ roll history. Rudsak Sample Sale – On Now Till Sunday!

I’ve been going to Rudsak shows at fashion week for a while but I am yet to own something. I remember one year they had these amazing fur/leather hats and I was like I NEED THAT NOW.  I’m heading to check out the sample sale tonight before it opens tomorrow morning, 9am. I really hope I find the perfect black leather jacket. RIP this Muuba jacket (above). It was very thin sheepskin and both pockets just about ripped right off and fell on the floor.  I just retired it about  a month ago.  I scored in the Crystal Light X Holt Renfrew shopping spree/fashion show a couple years ago. That was a fun day with these ladies. 🙂 When the email rolled in about the Rudsak sample sale, I knew I was in luck and so are you. Day 288: Snow Queen

No, I didn’t change my face! These were taken with an Instagram filter! It’s wild how they can change your face to look different. I see how smooth my skin looks, eyes bigger, lips full, and all the comments about how great I look. No wonder people have body image issues! I am not this glam in real life haha. This is my fav hat from Rudsak a few years ago for their 20th Anniversary, they only made 20 of them. Coat is the kids Jilly Jacket from Joe Fresh. That’s all for today, not much happening up here in the woods.
