420 Volcanic Artesian Water from New Zealand

G’day Mates & Shelia’s! Being from New Zealand I was pleased to come across this fancy volcanic water from NZ this weekend at Fresh & Wild. 420 is a super premium water in a bottle that’s easy on the eye, feels good in the hand and perfectly fits the clientele of elite hotel, bars, restaurants and cafes. Every drop of water has taken generations to filter through the surrounding landscape. That means the water you hold in your hand today actually fell onto the top of a mountain when my great, great grandmother was the same age as I am now. Which is a fabulous story to tell someone you’re trying to pick up in a bar. The 420 spring is situated at the base of NZ’s South Islands Banks Peninsula an extinct Volcano. The water fell on the Southern Alps hundreds of years ago and has spent its time meandering across the Canterbury plains to arrive clean and pure to consumers today. In September 2006, 420 water struck gold on the world stage, winning two top awards at the prestigious bottled water world design awards in Italy. 420 water came up trumps against a record 135 entries from 30 countries, taking home the award for Best PET Bottle and Best Press Marketing Campaign. The gala awards ceremony took place at the San Pellegrino Casino in Italy as part of the Zenith International Global Bottled Water Congress in Bergamo, north east of Milan. ARTICLE It tasted GREAT!! Represent NZ bitches!!! Yahooooooooooooooooo!

How To – Of the Day

How to Handle Fame “I handle fame by not being famous…I’m not famous to me.” Bob Marley Whether you’re a celebrity, a politician, a MySpace star, dating someone famous, a well-known author, and even if you look different in a small town, you might be uncomfortable with being recognized wherever you go.How do you preserve a good reputation while still maintaining your privacy?(Don’t be a Waste-Case!!) Be boring to the public. The best way to maintain the privacy of your private life is to bore people to tears. Unless you’re one of those people who believes that all publicity is good publicity, it’s better to become famous (and stay famous) through the merit of your work, not because of a rollercoaster relationship, an addiction, a surprise pregnancy, or a glamorous wedding. If you’re a naturally flamboyant or free-spirited person, it might be difficult to stifle that, and you need to decide how you’re going to strike a balance between uninhibited expression and privacy, which tend to be mutually exclusive when you’re famous. Go to major events solo. Even if you’re married, the fact that you’re there together is bound to result in personal, sometimes totally inappropriate questions like “When are you having a baby?” or “When are you having another?” or even “How is your sex life?” Also, if you’re always attending events as a couple, all it takes is one event when your schedules conflict and you don’t show up together, and everyone will presume your relationship is on the rocks. If you do ever split up, the last thing you want is people wondering where your date is–talk about salt in the wound! That being said, sometimes being consistently dateless can stir its own breed of gossip, depending on the context–a famous celebrity going solo is understandable; a…

Savant: extraordinary skills not exhibited by most persons.

Educate yourselves… This is some kind of wonderful! Savant syndrome—sometimes abbreviated as savantism—is not a recognized medical diagnosis, but researcher Darold Treffert defines it as a rare condition in which persons with developmental disorders (including autism spectrum disorders) have one or more areas of expertise, ability or brilliance that are in contrast with the individual’s overall limitations. Individuals with the syndrome are often simply called savants. This can be a source of confusion since savant can also mean a person of learning, especially one of great knowledge in a particular subject. My dear Walt Whitman wrote this beauty : Savantism THITHER, as I look, I see each result and glory retracing itself and nestling close, always obligated; Thither hours, months, years—thither trades, compacts, establishments, even the most minute; Thither every-day life, speech, utensils, politics, persons, estates; Thither we also, I with my leaves and songs, trustful, admirant, As a father, to his father going, takes his children along with him.

I am made of light; I am made of stars.

Mum gave me the book “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz many years ago. I have read it once before and recently picked it up again as I found myself looking for the same light that I once had. It is truly amazing when you read something so powerful as this book, yet, the amazement and self discovery is amplified when you bring yourself back to read it again. I have long since been on a spiritual journey, learning, reading, and evolving. I find that as I grow older I am somewhat of a life butcher, trimming the fat away, getting rid, and really savoring the good things. I have included a short excerpt from the book that outlines what the four agreements. I encourage the purchase of this book, in part because my copy is so important to me and well used that I refuse to lend it out! The four agreements are great to put up in places that you see them often to remind yourself of a better, more fulfilled & spirited life that you can live. Enjoy! xo Case The Four Agreements Be Impeccable With Your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. Don’t Take Anything Personally: Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the Don’t Make Assumptions: Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this…

Alicia & 30 Reason’s why I’m not eating meat anymore:

I’m not a big fan of animals (as pets). I’ve never had a dog before. My cat and I broke up years ago, she lives with Dad now. However, just because I don’t like animals licking or touching my stuff, doesn’t mean I want to eat them instead. I’ve been considering going vegan for a long time now. I rarely drink milk and grew up lactose intolerant. Alicia Silverstone has a great new ad that was banned in the UK due to her being, um…naked. Its hot! In the spirit of loving hotness and wanting to try this out today is the day I’ve decided to try vegetarian. I want to eat better, feel better, and stop supporting cruelty to chickens, pigs, cows, fish, and other animals raised for food. By signing my name, I pledge to explore vegetarianism for at least 30 days. Signed by:Casie Stewart Alicia’s ad: Order a vegetarian starter kit at GoVeg.com 30 Reasons:

Madonna’s Tattoos

Madonna sported Jewish symbols on her arm in the video for the James Bond theme song Die Another Day. The tattoo is written in Hebrew and is on her right shoulder written are the letters: the letters “lamed”, “alef” and “vav” (from right to left). There is no such word in Hebrew and you can be sure that all the know-it-alls in the world immediately proclaimed it to be yet another celebrity foreign language tattoo gone bad. But the truth of the matter is that Madonna once again outwitted the sheep. So called Rabbi, Yehuda Berg, a worldwide religious celebrity known mostly as the spiritual leader of the Kabbalah Centre which Madonna reportedly attends regularly provided the official interpretation. Berg explains: The “word” on Madonna’s shoulder is not actually a word, but rather one of the names from the 72 Names of G-d. Kabbalah explain that Moses used these names to split the Red Sea, and that we can use them to create miracles in our own lives. Each name draws a particular kind of energy. The name in the “Die Another Day” video is for eliminating the ego. Kabbalah finds its main source in the Zohar, a text revealed to Moses de Leon in the thirteenth century based ostensibly on the writings of a second-century scholar Simeon bar Yochai. The Zohar parallels a tradition of commentary on the Torah, the first five books of the Bible, but claims there are hidden meanings in the arrangement of and comparisons between letters and words in which these books are written. This form of interpretation becomes quite complicated when the numeric significance of each word (Hebrew letters are each associated with a number) is taken into account. Madonna began attending the Kabbalah Centre, an international school of kabbalah studies, in 1997 in…

I really hope I see you again, but in case I don’t, have a nice life.

I was thinking about a line from The Sweetest Thing, Christina says “Don’t go looking for “Mr. Right”, just go looking for “Mr Right Now”.” I’m wondering why there is never a middle ground. How come one you meet someone and hang out a few times it is only a matter of time before the ‘awkward talk’. Both not looking for a ‘relationship’ but without saying it you become satisfied with less than stellar results and that awkward, unknown ground where you’re never sure where you stand “Do I call?” , “Should I leave a message?” It is just ridiculous. After dating, or being satisfied with Mr. Right Now, I find myself with an urge to drop out of the scene and stop meeting. It’s boring, draining, and it doesn’t take long to lose its luster. Dating, mating, whatever you call it, its a game and I’m done playing. I’m better off spending more time alone. EDIT: Maybe this is all because I’m not feeling so hot about the scene right now. I remember a friend telling me something about though we are all human and can have insecurities, your first few dates with somebody are not the time to let those worries show their ugly heads. Come to the date in a confident mindset and focus on topics that make you comfortable. Or, so recommends DatingPilot, that’s what I read on their site. It makes sense, but all I know that if the relationship is meant to be, there will be a time and place to show your vulnerabilities, and the right person will be there to help create balance to your weaknesses. Maybe I should keep at it and hope that comes soon.
