First day for a while it’s not been sunny out. I find myself to be very productive on these days. Dive right into my computer! This song is a good motivator. I’m on the edge of glory, I’m on the edge! I wanna do the EDGE WALK on the CN Tower. Hair is back to a nice blonde. I really wanna grow it out this winter. It’s a mega process. Had it short for so long now. If I focus I can do it. I mean, make it through the awkward stages! Got any tips? Luckily I love wearing hats. Really loving new desk setup. Mac things are so pretty. My Dodo Case for iPad is totally busted. Basically a scrap of bamboo. I really need to EM them about that. Got a new Motorola DEFY yesterday adn I’m happily back on the Telus Mobile Network. Doing a photo shoot tonight with Lauren, Raymi, Anna and some babes for PinkMafia. Had a wicked sleep last ngiht so hopefully I don’t look tired! The Blondetourage Does Baseball

Yesterday was an epic day for a ball game. O’Nizz, Keri, the boys and I were invited to hang out with our friends from Keek.com for Roberto Alomar Hall of Fame Day. It was awesome! Check out our box! Roberto Alomar was my fav player as a kid. I loved being there to watch the Jays retire his number and hear him speak. You are legend! Where’s Waldo? Can you see him? Two mounties walking behind. I had a huge crush on him when I was little. Remember how much of a babe he was? Swoon. He’s still pretty good looking TBH. I was fan girl crushing pretty hard. The entire stadium was PACKED. I heard the game was sold out! Whoa. His speech was very kind. My fav thing that he said was something his Mum always told him “be humble”. We had a ‘gay ol’ time’ singing “Take me out to the ball game”. I can only imagine how hot it would be to sit in the sun for the whole game. I didn’t see any umbrellas, are they even allowed? Probably not eh. Remind me to bring a huge hat if I ever sit down there. Hey there sports fans: Seany, Sammy, Ross. I can see my house! Two studs right here. Home run! It was Ross’ birthday. I can’t remember if we say HBD but we sure celebrated good! I’ve totally fallen in love with my new camera, Olympus Pen, you rule. This guy had two nipple piercings and a belly button. WOW! I love discovering new things. Last month Google rolled out www.wdyl.com and I just found out about it from Techcrunch. It’s hard to keep up on all the Google gossip! With all the talk about Google+ lately, I see how it slipped by most peoples radar. I checked it out last night & found an interesting discovery… Here we go: Went to the site, searched something I love (uh, myself! You would search yourself too right?). Found a few things, including explore “casie stewart” in 3D with Google Sketchup. You can create anything 3D there, haven’t tried it yet. Youtube channel and gmail came up along with searches in blogs, photos, and books. Books? I recognize that book. That’s my book. I wrote when I was 14 with Holly Heiblinger, it’s called JEANS. Published Canadian Author, oh yeah. I’ve never seen it online. I mean, I never reallllllly looked but there she is right in Google Books and the library archives. I was mega involved with writing and my community at that age. Our book is categorized in Canadian poetry (English) 20th century, Literary Collections / Canadian, Children’s Literature & Teenagers’ writings, Canadian (English). It’s no longer in print so don’t try to order one! I’ve only got a couple draft copies. Reckon Mum might have some in the basement. I used to write heaps. Well, I still write lots but more diary than poetry. One say I will escape to a far away place and get all the notes from the notebooks into digital form. Maybe with my new computer? Omg, I ‘m getting a new computer today. Downloaded a poetry magnet app for iPad called Verses Poetry. I like to play on/with words. Need to get more words unlocked though, running slim on options. Walked to the airport with my sis yesterday. Toronto is an amazing city. Almost certain this guy is the same model from the Mark’s style thing I did last week. This ‘type’ is often used in ads. Maybe he just has ‘the look’? Worlds shortest Ferry ride. Jenie is starting to look more & more like you Mum. The red plane is Air Greenland. Keri & I were certain it was some type of fancy Air Canada thinger. If you have never flown Porter, wait for the next 30% off seat sale (I will post) and book yourself a ticket. Best service ever. This evening I got an email from a blog reader who recently moved here from England. She said she loved my passion for life. I was sitting at my computer looking at a list of things I should have done already and feeling slightly overwhelmed. Her few words changed my day. I don’t really share emails I get from people but sometimes they are inspiring, this was one. Thank you Ashley 🙂 I love GIF making and the internet. It’s amazing how we connect using it. Think, you are reading this right now. I wrote it after being inspired by an email that someone wrote to me after reading this very same location that we are connecting at right here again after they were inspired by something I did outside. Crazy isn’t it? Found this empty park place near Fort York & Bathurst the other day. Jumped around a bit. Posed for this photo and a plane was landing right behind me as I turned around. Neato! Remember how I always say “You are younger today than you will ever be again.” I’m reminding you to make the most of each day. Maybe there is someone you want to send an email to & thank them? I wrote a quick note to Mum letting I know I’m thinking of her. They are sailing somewhere near Virginia at this very moment. I bet it’s beautiful. Thursday I go to Boston with my sister to see friends. Tres excited! A getaway from the city always makes me love it more. Flying Porter & planning to walk to the airport. today in blog news – i updated!

I updated to the new WordPress 3.2. The way it looks when I type before I publish is a bit different, I hear there are a few other new things too. It’s more like writing a document now. I feel like a reporter. I am reporting life of/on/in the internet. eTalk called me a Social Media Expert last night. No argument. I’m happy with how it went. Will post soon for Mum & anyone else outside Canada or doesn’t have TV. The host Ben referred to me as “Stewart” and after calling me “famed blogger” they put my site on screen National TV. HI CANADA! I was using webOS on a new HP tablet. A bunch of people were them at an HP Blogger event last night. I am still using iPad. My friend the CellGuru thinks I’ll learn to love HP’s TouchPad better. I dunno, we’ll see. Y’all know Andy is my iPad boyfriend. One of the reasons I love him is because he has so many apps. We have heaps of fun together on Flipboard, Twitter, signing Autographs, watching Netflix, playing games. I can’t see myself without him and I don’t know if I’m ready to date anyone else. I’m planning to clean my desk this weekend. I do not like having a messy work area. It clouds my head trapping my thoughts from getting through my fingers to the screen. I’ve been saving these gifts to treat myself. These need to be dealt with. These need to be played with. Tonight I’m heading to the Spoke Club for Mark’s fall preview. it’s important to have confidence.

This morning I shared a story about my childhood with my friends at Nella Bella. I popped in to say hello as I’d not seen them in a few and I love them. They made me retire my old most fav ever NB bag (tear) & hooked me up with a beauty new one. Thanks team <3 We were chatting about confidence and how important it is to have, especially for kids. We talked about dressing up our younger siblings and also how parents give their kids so much choice these days. What’s up with that anyways? [pause…here come the Mommy Bloggers. haha] When I was little Mum have me choice but not too much. She used to let me pick out my clothes and would lay two outfits on the bed for me to pick one to wear. Well, that wasn’t good enough for me. I’ve always been a creative so when Mum would lay out my outfits I’d mix them up together and make something new. One time I wore this orange shirt with green shorts and one orange/one green sock. Mum let me wear what I liked. One of the other Mum’s on our street said to her “Are you really gonna let her wear that?” All Mum said “If she feels confident wearing that then she can go for it!” Thank you Mum for being that way with me. Tech | Social Media Day -Toronto is one of most most social in the world.

I’d like to think I had something to do with that. I kid, I kid. We’re SO online and our Social media Day meetup is SO BIG that Mashable wrote about us today. We Toronto peeps know how to have fun. Get social baby. Props to Michael Nus & Dan Levy for putting this together. Last year I spoke about running the social media for MuchMusic & MTV Canada & this year I’m speaking about building a personal brand. Over 350 people are attending so it’s gonna, kinda a big deal. Wish Mum was here to see me in action. I’m sure someone will have on video. Last year I was JUST getting into speaking and has my hands in my pockets the whole time. Won’t do that again. We used to chill on the grass all the time when I was a kid. I love fresh cut grass. Was looking for a four leaf clover, those things are almost impossible to find. New Toms are rad & oh so cozy. Thanks Mum for the flowers. They’re all from her garden. People don’t really do that much here as compared to NZ I find. Nana could always pull together a boquet from her garden. Mum took a whole bunch to someone the day before too. I want that when I grow up, a beautiful garden. BTW Mum, the newspaper made my arm all black so when I got home I looked really skiddy. How cute is she?! Love you. Keri got to meet Mum first time. Think we might adopt her. It was so clear out across the Lake when I got home. I could see across to Rochester and it looked bright. So cool to see another country. Heaps of Kiters on the South side of the island. I tried it once. Camped on the beach too. Hope you have an awesome day!

Wowza, do I ever feel rested. It’s amazing what a vacation home to parents and heaps of sleep does for your soul & creativity. I’m ready to go back to the city today. Look at this cute face. Look again. My first recital at 5, I was a fluffy cloud. Keri is coming to visit Mum today and meet her for the first time. BFF meets Mama. Was lovely except I rekcon I got a few mozzy bites. See that butterfly. Flutter by, so pretty. Title is from Alice in Wonderland in case you didn’t know. Feel like a kid playing in the park so nice. Now, don’t get me wrong because there IS a difference.

Thinking this uber cute Diamond Pocket Dress, Maxi Jumper or this Chifon tail dress. Loving those long flowy skirts & dresses. They were really popular in NZ last year & they are ALWAYS ahead in style down there. I love getting stuff in the mail, everyone loves mail. The other day Keri & I came home feeling kinda blahhhh and my friends at Bud Light sent me a 12 pack just because they knew it was going to be a nice weekend. Thanks guys, it did make the weekend better and I appreciate it. Sometimes I wonder why I’m even talking about this…. should I keep quiet? Here’s the thing about blogging I don’t love: C.C Chapman wrote about it six months ago. The Mommy bloggers have been talking about it way before I brought it up, good article on MomBlogMagazine about it here. PR email comes in about an ‘exciting’ new campaign that brand XX is launching. It is either a one day event or it spans several weeks but it is ‘perfect for my audience’. This is a what is called ‘Blogger Outreach’. The company knows from idea conception that they want to connect with bloggers although they bugdet nothing for the bloggers who are going to do a bunch of work. They know exactly who they are going to target because we are all on the same list.

The blog days are over.

I went to bed fuming last night. Blood was boiling. I never tell you when I get angry, I think I’m going to start. To be honest though, it doesn’t happen too often. I had a few conversations with agencies & clients over the last few days that made me wonder what the hell I’m doing. Also made me wonder what the hell they are doing? I have heaps of PR friends in the city and I’m starting to wonder about those relationships. They’re in meetings coming up with all these expensive & fun campaigns for big name clients with the intent to do blogger outreach & connect with ‘top influencers’ but not putting any budget in the plan for that. Gimme a break. Do you work for free? Why should we? This morning I logged into WordPress (blog publishing platform), like I have done every day for years and had a different feeling about it. Last night after talking with Mum and friends, I didn’t know if I’d be back to publish today. I didn’t feel like it. Clearly, I am addicted to publishing and love writing so I’m back but I’m different. Every morning I read Mashable on Flipboard via my ipad and this morning they published an article that touches on exactly what had my blood boiling yesterday. I feel like I’ve been going 100 miles an hour for 40 days & 40 nights. I pretty much have. Today I need to catch up on cleaning the house & organizing. I’m exhausted & I wanna go see Mum. Nothing new from me today but there’s no shortage of fun things around the web though. Here’s some stuff you might not have seen. 70+ videos on Vimeo. Made this on a train where there was no internet while I was trapped in a storm. Boredom inspired creativity. This one time I went to the Toronto Symphony and had an amazing experience. We are here at the Met Hotel for Crystal Light Purse challenge where a bunch of designers are designing handbags. Mega blog girl gang hang. So nice to catch up with all the girls. Wish Mum was here. She’d love it. I love being in hotel my myself though too. These are the designers. Had a big meet n’ greet to learn about designs etc. This prawn-magnificent was delish. First Happy Fathers Day to my Dad. Rung him & he’s in the shop working on an hot rod right now. You are cool Dad. I love you. Gaga is performing the MMVAs tonight. I hope she some comes out to play later and I can meet her. Omgaga, I would be calm & cool. I want to meet her so, like no other. This is my post from last year. I’ve done something fun on this day for the last ten years, MMVA day. Last year I ran @muchmusic Twitter durring the show. It was insanely awesome. Putting together a show is so massive, there are so many jobs it takes to make it happen. This year, I’ve attended MMVA gifting lounges & have parties galore. I’ve put together the biggest baddest bag of goodies for Mum cause guess what, she came back from the sailing trip yesterday. AHHHH! I’m so happy & can’t wait to hug her. I missed you Mum. Watching Top Gun right now and thinking that scene where the guys sing to her in the bar is a wicked good halloween costume. I love the Dairy Queen commercials. Waterski-boxing? Major crush on that guy. Heading to Field Party 2011 in now then home to change before the night events start. I want to meet Lady Gaga, she is performing at the MMVAs. It would be so amazing to meet her. Snoop Dogg would be rad too.I’ll be home to watch the show. Post show parties include Velvet with Lady Starlight, Gag’s DJ. Ok bye. xo
