ON Tuesday I skipped out of work to hit the tents and watch a few WMCFW shows. It’s nice to see everyone there but the fashion has actually been quite underwhelming. I want more energy on the runway, excitement, fashion should be fun and not so serious. I saw socks and sandals on the runway too which I can never seem to wrap my head around. I just won’t! Yorkdale Expansion Opens Today w/ Ted Baker & More!

Last night I ventured uptown to Yorkdale Mall for the VIP pre-opening of the $220 million expansion. Yorkdale added 145,000-square feet of space 800 more parking spots, 27 new stores and a high-end food court. Five upscale stores are making their debut in Canada: Microsoft, Tesla Motors, Ted Baker London, Kate Spade and Ann Taylor Loft. As an Ambassador for Ted Baker in Canada, I was extremely happy to hang out in the store, try on clothes and meet the entire team. I got a few goodies too, Scuba dress, bulldog scarf, I haven’t been to Yorkdale in ages and it’s really quite a lovely destination. Went to The Hoxton last night for launch of Parts & Labour Catering. Everyone & their blog was there. Look, two of your most favourite blonde blogging buddies together again. This morning in my Timehop notifications I was reminded that four years ago today, I was riding the streetcar when I got a phone call from San Francisco saying I’d won Richard Branson’s Virgin America Contest. I was so excited that I left my phone on the streetcar! Luckily, the stars were aligned and it was returned to me within the hour. The contest went for about three months and there were about 10K entries. We had to make a YouTube video saying why we’d be the perfect ambassador to represent the world’s loudest and sexiest airline. As the Virgin America Provocateur, I travelled North America with Virgin and gave away heaps of flights. Casie Stewart was chosen as the Toronto Provocateur for Virgin America. = = = The crazy folks at Virgin America contacted us with an opportunity. They were about to launch service to Toronto, the first destination outside the U.S. for Virgin America. And they wanted a way to garner excitement for the launch of this service among local Torontonians. Together with Jesse McMillin – Creative Director at Virgin America – we devised a plan. Let’s create a web platform and initiative whereby we search to find one Toronto local to be our brand ambassador in Canada. The perfect person who embodies the sexy and cheeky brand attributes of Virgin America and can work to be a firebrand for the brand itself. The Weekend: Girls Night, Dinner, Justice, Osheaga

We had girls night on Thursday, us five Spice Girls took to King West. Look out. Michelle, Lauren, Me, Sarah Irie, Hollywood Friday we had 1188 dinner at Parts & Labour for Sean’s birthday. It was nice. They make a mean beavertail. I had a burger but it was mixed up with Matt’s and came rare with cheese. I order ‘no cheese’ everything. Last night I went to my first concert at Fort York, M83 & Justice. M83 was great. I felt like Justice was a light show that went along with a pre-recorded mix. It was fun though. There were LED light sticks flying all over the place. Looked awesome with the bright lights and CN Tower glowing in the background. This week SummerWorks starts and I’m stoked to see some theatre. Welcome aboard Virgin America Halloween Flight 31, my name is Casie Stewart your VX Provocateur. Our in flight entertainment tonight is Toronto’s own Broken Social Scene and they’re playing live. You ready for takeoff? Show was at Queen West hipster hot spot Parts & Labour. Nice choice. Show was rad. Perfect Virgin America mood lighting. We were chatting this babe in the bathroom about her dress and little did we know that she was a band member. Guy with hood is a babe too. Lady Gaga telephone hat & costume was so well made. Hat was quite heavy. Deff needs long hair, looks silly on me. You know this fine fox, Courtney Love otherwise known as Raymi the Minx. This fine Queen & ruler of Egypt is my sister Jenie. LOVE YOU. Total babes. BTW food at P&L is great. Meat table + cheese FTW. Kate Killet is a kyooooote kitteh. Say hello to Kate from Virgin America and her red wig. Totes on brand 😉 Great to see the VX peeps. They are all so cool, honestly, I am so happy to have met them and totally stoked for the next year of awesomeness. Look out Toronto. Bathrooms at P&L have the weirdest mirrors. So hard to really get a good look at your outfit. Best costume of the night, Adam & Eve. Scariest costume of the night, this guy. AAAAAAAAAAHH. Liked these guys, bloody butchers with muscles. Mmmm. This was me at 6am these are my new Moovboots. Best ones yet. Siberian Huskies. And now for something special, Street Style/Unstyle: You Decide! Rarrrr… WoRD Up. Yesterday was my first time on the mic in Dundas Square.  There was a cute boy painting a mural all day, was pretty. I thought I would have been more nervous but I wasn’t, I was just like “ok lets do this”.  That’s a good sign. I have more anxiety now that it’s over. Been there so many times, seen peeople perform, danced, celebrated Olympic wins, it always seemed like such a huge space and now it feels smaller. One of my fav performances was John Mayer, I know he’s a bit of a dick but I really like him. I wanna do something big there. The whole place is Virgin Mobile sponsor/branded. My mind was thinking abut Virgin America…can we get a plane in there somehow and have a party on it? It was pretty chilly out. Winter is coming. It snowed today, so pretty. I quite love the winter. The sun is shining so bright in our place this afternoon. I’m watching “I hope They Serve Beer in Hell” the Tucker Max movie, VERY offensive and very funny. Some people really wont like this movie and find it quite inappropriate, good thing I’m not friends with many of those ones. Haha. Lots of swearing. Did you see this? hi, how are you today?

Fine. Sitting on the couch drinking water and eating Marmite on bread. Had a great night out with my sister last night. I’m closer to her than ever and it’s crazy how well we know each other. We are afterall sisters, but really good friends too which is awesome. I really appreciate her and that she lives in the city . We don’t see Dad that much cause he’s in Cambridge and Mum is sailing on her boat on the East Coast of the USA. LOVE YOU GUYS! Lots of stuff this week. Monday night is TweetgasmTO at the Gladstone. Tuesday night I have something I forgot to put in my calendar and I hate when I do that. Hopefully writing this now and reading it later will remind me what the heck it is. Thursday is Sabrina’s birthday. There’s always stuff hapenin’ on Thursday. Friday I will be at Dundas Square all day for an event follow me at @armyourself_gsk for deets on that. Friday night is the People Downtown Halloween party. Saturday, I reckon I will need sleep/home alone time. Sunday is Halloween yahooooooooo. I will be at Parts & Labor for a private show with Broken Social Scene that is hosted by Virgin America and the Torontoist. I really hope Emily & Feist are there. That would be great, I have a crush on them both. Next week I’ve got a spa thing at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and a lesson in DJing. Imagine I was a DJ? Imagining………..  In New Zealand I met this babe blogger from the UK named Gala Gonsales who DJ’s. I think that’s hot. This is gonna be a good week and busy week. It’s almost November already. So crazy. Looking forward to Movember and all the moustaches that will be floating around.…

HELP, I’M ALIVE.

HELP, I’M ALIVE.

Last night was epic. EPIC. Such an awesome time with the girls. I love Emily Haines so hard, we all do. It was me, Jenie, Michelle, Grace and Jess (we are all on the twitter). Hanging out with my sister is the most fun. We are so positive, happy & energetic together, I get super charged. Look out. Ain’t nothin’ gonna break my stride, nobody’s gonna slow me down, oh-no, I got to keep on moving. I have so many great photos from the night. Heaps. The sun setting over the water and the pink sky were the perfect back drop to the music and atmosphere. The place was packed but we hardly noticed anyone else because we were laughing and having so much fun. One dude tried to make friends with us, but we were not having it, he was Snooki’s type. We also saw a couple guidos who really loved Emily and knew the lyrics to every song. All our seats were scattered in different sections but we didn’t go to them once. Instead, we parked our camp on the lawn and danced and sang and threw our arms in the air and screamed. The lawn is really the best place to be. You can relax and lean back or dance in circles. I love that feeling, the one when you hear the music live and the lights shine on the crowd and they reach out and touch your face and you scream. It melts my popsicle. Michelle = babe. She has a fashion blog and she’s got the wicked style. My phone desktop image matches her leopard onesie, that’s why she is posing with phone. Jenie is too cute. Heart melt sandwich.
