synchronized speed scating vs. skating

Is that a spelling error? Hm. Funny. It went like this…Olympics, two blondes, blogging,  bonging, thinking about new sport ideas.  Me typing ” synchronized speed skating,” and typing “synchronized speed scating” by accident. We DIED laughing. So funny.  Haha. I wish I could type as fast as I think sometimes…you wouldn’t believe some of the things that come outta my brain. I just typed “thongs” instead of things right thurrr. Lesson to be learned. Check your stuff before you post. There’s nothing worse than someone Tweeting/emailing/commenting/calling you to say you made an error. Hate that. Went for a stroll this morning in tights and my jacket. No pants. It was surprisingly mild out!

adventures in lifestyle

Got introduced  Moovboot via @randallchannel recently. I’ve got two pairs this week.  You know  I love my wellies and honestly, for a Canadian girl in the winter, they trump them by like 10,000 x. They’re from Australia, they tweet, and they’re into ‘adventures in lifestyle’. Marino sheepskin, rubber outside, totally warm when wet. We’re now in committed 3-way a relationship. You can get them at Get Outside. You want a pair? I’ll give you some! Twitter contest: Sign in with Twitter & comment this post with #mooovboot. I’m gonna pick a winner and this is what you get….

you’re gonna love these guys

Can you guess what they are? Shoe accessories! Fuckyeahamazing.  They’re called shoellery and these babies are perfect for making (cheap ass) shoes look more expensive and super stylish. They’re pretty badass so I was stoked when they hooked me up. Dragon’s Den & Jeanne Beker love them too. There’s so many different ones like sparkly shoe straps, boot sleeves, leg warmers. Tey’re designed in Italy & this chain one is my fav. SO hot. They range from $20 to about $125 and you can buy them online.  Sending the suede/rhinestone one out to a friend & keeping the leather one as seen on Barbie at a fetish party. Now, I’d really love if someone sent me shoes to go with them! Mohahaaaaaaaaa!

i love playing dress up, photo shoot, model

Really enjoying this weekend time at home. Next weekend I’m at a photo shoot for work. It will undoubtedly be exciting, yet tiring. I’ve always loved dressing up.I was five when I did my first recital for our ballet studio. I competed for a bunch of years when I was growing up. Lipstick, eye shadow, lots of hair gel, tight buns in your hair, fancy costumes and sequins. Such excitement. Next weekend, I’m behind the scenes. I kinda always wanted it to be that way. As much as I love having my photo taken, I really enjoy the production side of things too.

countless ways social media will change in 2010

..canada and the olympics?

I wish I never got tired. I could soak up stuff around the internet for hours and hours. I’m addicted to learning, reading, pretty things and blogging. I read a great article on ReadWriteWeb – 10 ways social media will change in 2010. I love this stuff. The ability to connect everyone around the world to information and each so fast really blows my mind. good ones: online-offline integration, women rule The IOC been getting pissed about people taking photos of stuff. We should totally have heaps of sourced stuff for the Olympics. Canada is SO ONLINE and it all starts in 39 days. I wanna feel like I’m there, the Vancouver Project is trying to make sure we can all be there. I’m back to using disqus comments, shall you help me test them? That wold be nice. Facebook Connect also got a recent makeover. Have a great day. Welcome back to work ♥ girls are from suicideblonde tumblr of v’s one size fits all collection

dear santa: get up on me, love casie

Talk about geek chic. Saw these on Etsy a while ago and Kelly tweeted she woulds love to see me in them. Agreed! They’re so damn adorable/sexy/nerdy…my favorite. A #twabe is a Twitter babe. I went through a stage where I tweeted it all the time. I have shirts with the twabe hashtag too. Yeah, pretty amazing.

holy effing elf shit, it’s december already!

Doesn’t it seem like January was just the other day? Urgh. Well, anyhooters… Feeling positive and ready for the new month. I just got this new stuff in the mail from Givenchy… I can’t wait to test out all these goddies…The mascara is blue/purple. The shadow is black/metallic. The gloss is pink/sparkley.  Yes, I love. (love blogging!) It felt like Christmas at the office yesterday, two bags were delivered and one big one with goodies for Heart for the Holidays on Friday. Remember to get a ticket, if you can’t come then make a donation, and lets all have a good time. I’ll be one of Santa’s little helpers doing good deeds and drinking holiday eggnog juice. I keep all the fragrances out so the girls can try them when they come over. This one was an instant hit. At first spray is citrussy and refreshing then once you let it sit on your skin for a few, it’s gorgeous. It’s right up there with Givenchy Play that I also wear (even though it’s for men). Good holiday gift idea: Available at shoppers until March only and it $60 for the 50ml. I have a fragrance gift set to give to one of you guys this month too. Stay tuned for that! Opened my advent calendar today! Thanks Mum. Love you xo Have a great day! p.s. Hills/City finale is tonight on MTV 9-11:30pm from NYC. I’ll be on @mtvcanada & my Twitter if you wanna follow the gossip/drama 😉

i always love her, no matter what she wears

I need a new sketchbook. Yes, need. I’m feeling that scatter brain a little,  little bit a rattle brain a little. I had my photo taken yesterday for an upcoming feature in Toronto Life. I like having my photo taken and my house makes a great studio. Daniel had shot a couple others before me and said I was the most fun. I visited Aggy last night, I missed her face. She’s got a nice one and the hair, well, you know, style. I’d like to take more photos with photographers, some creative fun over the winter. We invited over an American friend and a bunch of others last night an made a turkey with all the trimmings. It was tasty. I’ll be having turkey sandwiches and turkey soup all week. Yum. More about that later… Happy Monday 🙂

you wouldn’t even believe me if i told you

The fashion show I went to on Friday turned out to be an interesting night. It was actually not in Yorkville, it was in Sauga. I know.  It’s been years since I went that West for anything do to with an event or party. I didn’t take any photos  either. I didn’t see any lookers quite like the night before… I’d love to do something else for Puma… downtown or online please! I’m thinking something that involves me and clothes/shoes/accessories. Thank you, love Casie.

sale closed open fire sale

The lineup at the sale, I’m sure you’ve heard, was insane. Big and long and everlasting with people.  Met up with AA hottie Joey Ng, aka Sass on team American Apparel who made sure me and my guestlist had a great time. THANK YOU! Wasn’t there long too long but snagged a few jems for sure. Woot! By the way…McDonald’s at Spadina/Queen is closed for reno’s and LCBO at Spadina/King opens Friday! Also saw this Saturday, crazy!

this is for the stylsh ones with a passion for fashion

So, this is quite exciting and big…the FIRST EVER American Apparel rummage sale in Toronto. Get ready to throw some elbows! Prices are up to 85% off! Absolutely everything is under $50 and prices start at $2. Honestly. Can you believe it? It’s free admission and located at 590 King St. West [King & Portland]. It’s on all weekend and for exact times check the Facebook event page. When you get back from the rummage sale with hands full of new gear, empty out your closet and throw your clothes up on shopmyclothes.com. They promote the recycling and reuse of clothes and accessories. I’m all for it. This Toronto based company was started by a friend of mine and told me that 85% of used clothes go unrecycled! That means style is going in the garbage! AH! NO! Most of my really awesome clothes are second hand and I love clothing swaps. I’ve got a stack of photos and stuff to upload to the site this weekend. You’ll start seeing ads around the city and on the subway soon but we know you saw it here first. I love this awesomely-cool-stylish-art-attack by blog friend Gloria writer of Urbanebloc.com. Keep up with other cool Toronto Blog Girls by visiting the site here.

pixel dust and parts per million

Smoking is gross I know. But I love her. I like it. Not always but sometimes…in the evening, after dinner and wine. Not nice in the day time. They’re talking about snow on the news. Doesn’t bother me much. I dress for it. Holiday decorations are going up around. Lead in toys is a big deal, more than ever and mostly from Asia. Twilight is taking over, I’ve never seen it but I’d kiss a Vampire. I loved Kate Moss & Jonny Depp. I still do.

her world is rainbows, unicorns and flying stars

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The weekend, yesterday, today. What more could you ask for than Spring in November? Summer in December? Ah, a girl can dream can’t she? Yes, a girl can dream. I absolutely love walking to work in the morning and home again at night. No more TTC, just me, an outfit and my cute little boots on the pavement. I really need to put some music on my ipod. I’ve been so wrapped up dreaming of iphone, I forgot about the little guy. Couple things to let you know… Just added a review to Chick Advisor, check it out.  I’ll be at the National Ballet tomorrow night for wine tasting (thanks for the invite). You’re welcome to join me, there’s still tickets. I’ve been listening to some pretty rad tunes lately including the new album from Yacht (who I love) and Adriane Lake (her album). I picked this little guy up on the weekend. Don’t you want it? I thought it represented me well. The store is Queen and Dovercourt and they’ve got a little sale on right now. I’ve started making some really snazzy jewels myself. All custom made and all one of a kind. I’ll post photos soon. Two friends were in the Financial Post yesterday, check out  Sarah from Sprouter and Mike from Scribble Live. They are both part of the awesomeness that made Toronto Twestival this year a huge success. Have an awesome day!

a fashionable woman is always in love…

And so it began…the day of closet organizing. I photographed about 100 pieces and there’s  many more to go. It’s a huge job. I had a garbage bag size pile of clothes to take to the swap and at the end of the day all the leftovers go to charity. It was at Amy’s friend Daniella’s shop Chasse Gardée, Queen and Dovercourt. So many nice things in the shop. I spotted about 20 pairs of shoes I’d love to own.  Smile for the cam-cam ladies! People brought clothes throughout the day so the merch was always changing. I ended up going back later with Keri and donating more clothes. Oh it felt so good to give them away! We all managed to find a few jems. There was lots of really nice stuff (vintage, designer). Demin jacked I’ve now altered, vintage dress and brand-new-tags-on FCUK mini dress with pockets. Steal. I am now the proud owner of a room where there are no clothes on the floor, EVERYTHING is clean and has a home. It’s been ages. I feel like my mind is free from clutter, finally! I’m thankful for my first job at the GAP in 1996, everything is perfect folded. I’m totally inspired to host my very own swap with wine and cheese. Stay tuned. I reckon before the holidays (which are very quickly approaching). It’s so beautiful outside today, like a second summer. Enjoy it. I’m going for a bike ride. Woot – Sunday Funday! p.s. Taylor Swift was hilarious on SNL last night and I love her.
