When you find an old song you for got then you remember it. So good. Love this one by the White Stripes, Little Acorns. I paused the Y&R so I could listen. Was googling for a girl in a wing suit because the wind suit kinda looks like the CN Tower Edge walk suit and today Mastercard hooked me up with the experience to make it happen in the Spring. I’ve been tweeting I wanna do the Edgewalk since it was invented, last tweet was Oct. 4. The vault was full of vouchers and there was a grand prize of a $10,000 card with a trip to NY or London. I would love to go to New York or London or anywhere. Countdown gif, hehe. Base jumping is terrifying & fascinating. I have  bungy  and skydive in line before I try that one.  I found this one crazy/awesome girl, Géraldine Fasnacht, who does mind-blowing wing suit flying. This video get’s intense at  :40 and then my heart drops. After watching this I got lost in a wingsuit girl TIMEWARP of the the internet. I’ll need to get someone to shoot from by balcony when I do the walk on he Tower.  I can get pretty close with the new lens Olympus sent over.  Omg next week I am going surfing. This week is very chill compared to the last few months. I planned it that way. I want to feel relaxed when I leave for vacation. In one week I will be here. It does’t seem real yet but I’m trying to imagine. 🙂 * Little acorns, one at a time.  Storing up nuts for the winter.

I was looking through old photos and came across this one. I shot it when I first got my PEN from Olympus earlier this year. I love the change in seasons we have but man I’m missing summer already. Next week I got to Costa Rica from the 11th-20th for surfing & yoga. Been ages since I surfed (Australia 2004) so I might start with a lesson so I don’t end up hurting myself! (God that would really suck) Learned yesterday that the Costa Rica Film Festival is happening while I’m there and at not far from my restort. Just my luck, I go or a relaxing vacation & there’s a film festival! We had a breakup last summer but we got back together fairly quick. It’s nice getting messages like this to celebrate anniversaries. It’s the little things that count. My relationships with technology (hardward & software) are some of my most cherished ones – Andy (iPad), James Dean (Macbook Air), Robert (my old PC), Olympus cameras, Zoey (sewing machine) and the most recent addition, XBOX360 (he is yet to be named). Made this shirt for Foursquare Day in 2010. I was working with MuchMTV at the time but they didn’t really get that I was wearing THE badge on my shirt. Ha! This pic showed up in the deck for Puma International’s “After Hours Athlete” campaign before they hired me. Must Visit Bars Food & Drink places to Visit Went crazy on Joe Fresh nail polish the other day. Three for $10 and they go on thin so dry pretty fast which I like. Was given a few at the TIFF Tastemakers Lounge in 2010 and have been hooked since. Playlist today is Bon Iver on Soundcloud. Sam woke me up early but made brekky to make up for it. Feeling grumpy and the weather doesn’t help. Slow sad music is quite soothing. Hope your day is good so far 🙂

This post if full of things that add glitter to my life. Thought I’d share with ya. Bangs from Doll Bar, Olympus PEN, vintage hats. I’ve been trying a new routine of going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Once you get outta bed, you can really accomplish heaps before the day really started. That’s my September goal: do more before 10am than most people do in a whole day. My October goal is: go to England or New Zealand. Settin’ em high. YES WE CAN. Sprocket Rocket camera from Lomography. I’ve got heaps of film because, frankly, I’m not that good at using the camera so I need to take heaps of shots before I can be considered good. Analogue is haaaarrrrrrd. New duvet cover is the alphabet, say hello to my ALPHA bed. See what I did there? Oh yeah, creative play on words. New flowery pillow looks painted and that eye mask is from Keri. I sleep with an eye mask pretty much every night. I live in a glass box, it’s SO SUPER sunny in the AM! Although, getting to sleep is never a problem thanks to my new memory foam mattress. According to bestmattress-reviews, there are a number of quality options at a lower price than you’d think. Gadget love: iPad (Andy), Macbook Air (James Dean), Android (Motorola DEFY), Logitech wireless mouse. I spend most the day with these guys. Ok, here’s something really amazing….you won’t BELIVE how tall I am with these legendary things strapped on. Aren’t they beautiful? They’re Jeffrey Campbell and I ordered them online at Solestruck. Got a new camera today! Say helloooo to my new  SPROCKET ROCKET! Flash has my middle name. 🙂 Pretty stoked to shoot with this baby, gonna be interesting. The Lomography shop Queen West invited me in to be on one of their Lomo Magazine LomoAmigos. GRACIAS! Other Amigos include Elijah Wood, surfer Candice O´Donnell, actress Amber Tamblyn, and David Arquette. See them here. They have so many cameras in the shop. Beautiful space, nice hard wood floor. I want a ring, camera flash light ring. I picked the black one of these (boring I know!). Thought about the neon yellow but I like my equipment to match.  TBH, it’s HARD to take photos with a non-digital. I told Jane at the shop “I’m about to find out how ‘good’ of a photographer I am”. I’m going for Borderline Artistic style, we’ll see what we get. These (blog) photos were taken w/ phone cam, Motorola DEFY. Went mobile for a change this morning. Cruisin’ on bike in the rain isn’t really time for the PEN. Took a bunch of shots during the day with the Rocket, gonna drop off my film tomorrow and see how we turn out with the first round. Reach out & touch me. So ncie in the park today. Spent heaps of time here as a kid, highschool too. Fed the ducks. Man they were hungry. Some came right up on the rocks scared the jeepers outta me. Jeepers creepers. Met this guy. Don’t get too close. He bites. Rarrrrrrrrr! Chantelle and I have been coming here together for a really long time. No need to know actually how long, ages. Hi to Chantelle’s Mum [waves at computer]! They did Zumba yesterday. So cute. This wall faces a skatepark, used to be a swimming pool. Heaps of kids skatin’. Went on a long path, Wonderland Walk. Was lovely except I rekcon I got a few mozzy bites. See that butterfly. Flutter by, so pretty. Title is from Alice in Wonderland in case you didn’t know. Feel like a kid playing in the park so nice. Someone lost their balloons. Not me! Camera if you’re curious is Olympus XZ-1. It’s awesome & best cam I’ve used yet. Engadget review about it here. Garden time.

Looking at my own house from the tarmac at Porter. It took me <15min to walk there, in heels. Who WALKS to the airport? You bet your ass I felt damn cool strollin’ rollin’ in that door. Right before I boarded the plane something awesome happened, I got my first ever FULL PATDOWN in PUBLIC! It was done by a hot babe and we were giggling. I told her I was gonna blog about it. I had the hugest smile on my face the whole time. They really pat you down all over if ya know what I mean 😉 Toronto Island is quite pretty, will look even nicer once the trees get all greened up. I really notice a differnece between my old camera (Cannon Elph) and the new camera (Olympus XZ-1) when taking shots from the air. New is MUCH clearer. Started reading the poetry book sent to me by Vanessa Grillone, My Pen My Voice. I’m thinking I really should re-issue my poetry book. I wrote some pretty aweosme stuff when I was young. Thanks for the book Vanessa. Everytime I travel I still can’t believe they let me use this passport photo. Red lipstick & a big bow, in my hair. Who the hell am I? haha. I’m Casie Stewart, that’s who. One of the great(est) things about flying Porter are the snacks & free drinks. They have these great sandwiches on really nice bread w/ brie and of course Steamwhistle. * tights were sent to me from SECRET. What up Beantown! Here I come. Love this massive Nella-Bella bag for travel. It fits all my gadgets & important things – two Olympus cameras, ipad, netbook, toiletries, makeup, a cardigan & all my tech accessories.
