You want vacation time? Go teach 3rd grade.

Welcome back to work everybody! How was your weekend, what did you do?   I danced a little like this. Cruised Queen Street, rode bike, watched movies, got some sun, went to the Island, hung out at the beach, saw an air show, went to a concert, worked, dined with friends. Excellent Labour Day. The best I can remember. I’d love to get to a cottage soon. Can I come stay at your cottage?   New boots. Creeped the Jays game. We beat Boston. The Labour Day Parade went from 9ish – 11ish on Queen Street. I love the bagpipes & steel drums. Heaps of orange with signs of Jack Layton everywhere. It was a a looooong parade. Niche is an old fav for brekky (Queen/Bathurst). I hardly ever go out for breakfast anymore. I love getting up and working on Saturday mornings. I’m not upset about the change in season, I love Fall fashion!! I hate when people complain about the weather. TALK ABOUT SOMETHING MORE INTERESTING. Have you nothing better? It’s hot, it’s cold, it’s gonna change and be unpredictable. Embrace the fact you can read this from a computer at your office or house and smile. Pretty please 🙂 Today kicks off the busiest time of the year for me. Four months till New Year and heaps to get accomplished. Set yourself a goal or two today.  Time flies and if you don’t write them down, you’ll forget them. There’s so many things in one day, it’s near impossible to remember them all. Having a blog helps. I really love my work. It’s true what ‘they’ say if you really work at what you love it doesn’t seem like work. My days are longer and I try harder than ever, but I honestly feel so happy about it all. Yesterday’s video shoot at The Gladstone went great. Followed that up with a stop by 1188 Films for a catch-up and to talk Festival (TIFF starts Sept. 8th). Stopped by The Drake roof for a bite after hair before visiting my babes at Doll Bar Inc to get FEATHERED! So many colours. When my hair grows I want heaps. Move over Natalie Portman, the BLOG SWAN is coming. We decided against the bright ones for now and went with a more subtle look. Love them! Mega nerd 🙂 Arms are getting ripped from biking though. Have an awesome day! P.S. Guess what I got in the mail yesterday… A PRESENT FROM FENDI! Aaah! Thank you LV Brands 🙂

Went for a short cruise this morning. Wanted to feel the cool air on my face, in my hair. I’ve got a full day of creative writing ahead of me. New project with client is very fun. You’ll know about it soon when the site launches. 😉 Watch & overalls are my fav things right now. Watch Hamilton (Swatch), overalls H&M. Cleaned my room and have about $500 in gift cards for Holts, West 49 (Billabong new stuff is rad) and Gaffas (new glasses!). Stoked to take myself out for some BTS shopping. Been though a bunch of this exact same Converse model the last few years. Comfy & cute. Got these fresh new ones last week. Will not wear them to a concert or festival. We all know what happened last time at Beerfest. Remember Exhibit Ikea? I told you to go the other day. They are tearing it down right now. Can’t imagine how much dosh they put into renovating that space for a four day gallery showing. It was beautiful though. I’d like to live there for an art experiment exhibit. My arthritis arm has been killing the last 24 hours so I popped a bunch of these. No, they are not Viagra. Aleve! Had a great call w/ Stephen about our show launching September 8th. Meeting out designers tonight for logo chat. I’m going long boarding tonight too. Preeeetttty stoked. I’ve always wanted to give’er a go. Don’t worry Mum, I’ll wear a helmet and wrist guards. I need my arms to type!

Stopped by Beerfest Thursday for the media preview. Omg there was so much food & drink to be had. This was cookin’ in the grill house. Get grub there. My big party day is tomorrow at Beerfest. We’ve got an awesome crew and the Social Lounge is where we’ll be. Planning to walk there for about 1pm and drink slow & steady all afternoon. Shrimp wrapped in bacon, dipped in something delish & battered in crushed chips. This steak was gently placed on top of a butter infused baked potato. Divine. Practically licked the plate, see! Thanks Labatt. After I chowed down I biked to see the Arkells live in the parking lot by the SOHO. How cute is singer? Heaps of peeps in the crowd. I was up front in media area where it wasn’t crowded. Thanks Samsung. KARINE from MTL! Friends were yelling to me from top of the balcony up there but I didn’t know that until I checked Twitter. I can see my house. Have I told you how much I LOVE living downtown? This guy was a babe too. This guy was ________. Beige? Missed The Midway State. All hail the HAILWOOD tights copied by H&M. Knew this was coming. Remember me rocking this style last year? NZ Designer Adrian Hailwood gifted me his signature & fab two toned tights last year at NZFW. Thanks Adrian! NZ has always been ahead of style in Canada. Hailwood NZ. I see boring. Oooh organic, zzzzzzzzz. Not boring! Sammy & I went biking. These neon bikes are all over the city now. Clearly people and interested! I’ve had heaps and heaps of questions about how I am using Spotify in Canada the last few weeks. I was in the USA when Klout gave “influencers” a Klout perk last month. Everyone was like “WTF we can’t use our code in Canada, wahhhh, wahhhh”. I signed up thinking “I better get on this while I’m here since I go home in a few days blah blah blah”. When I got home, IT STILL WORKED. OMFG HEAD EXPLODE, MIND BLOWING. That’s how I have Spotify. You can get it too, get curious and look it up yo! Use a proxy, (If you want to go overkill try one made for accessing Piratebay, that’ll work really well) Go to the USA and sign up there Ask a friend online or offline to sign up an account for you I’ve been totally loving it. Music is filling my house and the playlists are introducing me to beautiful sounds I’ve never heard before. One of my friends is an aspiring artist and she has a few songs coming out on Spotify soon so I cannot wait to give them a listen! She also told me that because the number of streams your tracks get is so important these days, she has considered buying some Spotify plays from the Get Fans website here: https://getfans.io/buy-spotify-plays. The music industry has always been very competitive, so it makes sense that people are looking for ways to give their songs a boost. Anyway, here’s a sneak peek of what my Spotify account looks like. First day for a while it’s not been sunny out. I find myself to be very productive on these days. Dive right into my computer! This song is a good motivator. I’m on the edge of glory, I’m on the edge! I wanna do the EDGE WALK on the CN Tower. Hair is back to a nice blonde. I really wanna grow it out this winter. It’s a mega process. Had it short for so long now. If I focus I can do it. I mean, make it through the awkward stages! Got any tips? Luckily I love wearing hats. Really loving new desk setup. Mac things are so pretty. My Dodo Case for iPad is totally busted. Basically a scrap of bamboo. I really need to EM them about that. Got a new Motorola DEFY yesterday adn I’m happily back on the Telus Mobile Network. Doing a photo shoot tonight with Lauren, Raymi, Anna and some babes for PinkMafia. Had a wicked sleep last ngiht so hopefully I don’t look tired! Off to a camera shop & hopefully will have some good news about  new project by end of day. Make it a great one 🙂 * Loving Spotify and title is from Mumford & Sons ‘The Cave’. So good.
