While surfing in South Africa last night I came across We-Are-Awesome & Don’t Party followed by Liver Beats. Total radness, these cool kids got it going down. I like their taste in music, style and this video is great. I really want to go to South Africa. This one dude in the vid looks SO familiar. From NZ or Australia travels familiar, long time ago. Could be wrong. The We-Are-Awesome peeps are friends with Puma too. Remember when Puma Social rocked the Burroughs building in March. So fun. #pumasocial: march 10, 2011 @Burroughes #toronto

Last week Toronto was host to the first PUMA Social Club in Canada at the Burroughes Building on Queen Street. It was THE place to be. So many cool peeps and hot babes. Check out this rad vid produced by 1188 Films for Puma with a blonde you will recognize. I love this campaign, I feel it really goes along with my lifestyle. I celebrate more victories at the bar than I do at the gym. See a couple more familiar faces in the vid? A bunch you have seen here over the years if you look real close. Thing is, PUMA pioneers ‘Sportlifestyle’ and has built a their brand on FUN. I thnk I’m kinda like that too. Hey look, my sis riding a giant moose w/ R’Bull. The whole top floor of the Burroughs was full of people playing games like checkers, operation, ping pong, table hockey, air hockey. Lotsa late night revelry, live bands and DJs. Thomas Sabo UK Trip – Day 1 Photo Diary

On December 4th I went to London, UK with Thomas Sabo and Faulhaber Communications for the launch of Thomas Sabo Spring Summer 2013 collection. I have wanted to to to England for so long. Although only a short trip, it was awesome to travel in style, and attend the launch event with media from 18 countries. It’s beautiful out. Drink water. Wear sunscreen. Believe in yourself. Greatness. Went to the public pool last night. I didn’t go in. Drove around location scouting in a car that’s for a Puma commercial shooting today. Convertible cruising, ILU. Had my first ever shellac mani/pedi at 1BodyBar. It felt like vacation. Relax & Recharge Dem Batteries, Girl.

I’ve been having a lovely relaxing day at home. I love Saturdays with no plans but home and the couch. Repaired some furniture, watched a few movies, sorted an array of business cards, and played Barbies with a mini munchkin. Movie marathon currently in progress so far we watched Hard Candy w/ Ellen Page, a psycho thriller and Waynes World. Next up looking for rom com and some foreign film to remind me of travelling. These photos are from my trip to our nations’s capital for Ottawa Fashion Week earlier this year. Have been using my camera less since I switched to iPhone and forgot about all kinds photos on it. Doh! In the spirit of being Canadian, this video sums up all aI learned about prohibition on my trip to the Canadian Club HQ last month. The infographc is on PR newswire and you can read some of the other kids write-ups about the tour on Sidewalk Hustle and Notable.ca. It was done by the same film studio that did the vid I was in for Puma last year, 1188 Films. We had so much fun with this campaign, celebrating After Hours Athletes. Ho Ho Ho! Holidays w/ @ZListcom & @weare1188

Thursday night after ballet Jenie, Sammy & I went to the Z-List Christmas for a drink and had our photo taken with Santa. The high res one will be delivered after the holidays. Next stop was 1188 Films sailor themed holiday party (film studio who did Puma campaign I was in). I shot a bunch of snaps with the new Nikon J1. It’s news to me that Nikon saves the raw photo AND the good photo. Memory card filled up really fast. Maybe I had it on a strange setting? Anyone a Nikon expert? I got two of ever single photo I took. Sean I LOVE YOU. He got me an iPhone case that is a calculator. I’m not too hard to shop for I like all things nerdy, smart and or shiny. He also got me this classic which I can’t wait to read while travelling in January. There were lots of hipster babes at the party including Jenie’s ‘fake boyfriend’ who she did a national Puma ad campaign with earlier this year. I kept mistaking him for Sammy in the crowd. They don’t look THAT alike but the hair, hipsterness did it. Heaps of food all over the place. Man, I love the holidays. Shucking station for oysters. Sammy sexy mother shucker. 1188 Family tree. You look just as beautiful as the day we met.

We had a breakup last summer but we got back together fairly quick. It’s nice getting messages like this to celebrate anniversaries. It’s the little things that count. My relationships with technology (hardward & software) are some of my most cherished ones – Andy (iPad), James Dean (Macbook Air), Robert (my old PC), Olympus cameras, Zoey (sewing machine) and the most recent addition, XBOX360 (he is yet to be named). Made this shirt for Foursquare Day in 2010. I was working with MuchMTV at the time but they didn’t really get that I was wearing THE badge on my shirt. Ha! This pic showed up in the deck for Puma International’s “After Hours Athlete” campaign before they hired me. Gonna be fun to see everyone. This skirt is cute too eh. Mum loves it. I’m also browsing EGOCLOSET to pick out something to review & while testing out their new online store. Thinking this uber cute Diamond Pocket Dress, Maxi Jumper or this Chifon tail dress. Loving those long flowy skirts & dresses. They were really popular in NZ last year & they are ALWAYS ahead in style down there. I love getting stuff in the mail, everyone loves mail. The other day Keri & I came home feeling kinda blahhhh and my friends at Bud Light sent me a 12 pack just because they knew it was going to be a nice weekend. Thanks guys, it did make the weekend better and I appreciate it. Sometimes I wonder why I’m even talking about this…. should I keep quiet? Here’s the thing about blogging I don’t love: C.C Chapman wrote about it six months ago. The Mommy bloggers have been talking about it way before I brought it up, good article on MomBlogMagazine about it here. PR email comes in about an ‘exciting’ new campaign that brand XX is launching. It is either a one day event or it spans several weeks but it is ‘perfect for my audience’. This is a what is called ‘Blogger Outreach’. The company knows from idea conception that they want to connect with bloggers although they bugdet nothing for the bloggers who are going to do a bunch of work. They know exactly who they are going to target because we are all on the same list.

Pure beer bliss.

All the beer shelves were fully stocked, store opens today in Liberty Village. I love straight lines. Everything was lined up with perfection. Pretty. Pinup. ♥ Very nice shop that appeals to urban consumers. Young urban professionals of downtown, generation Y, Yuppies 2.0. SO good to see Carly & have her back in town. Love you babe! Carly is my agent and today I have a top secret audition for something on TV. I was taking our pic in the mirror here… Then I totally spilled my beer. Doh! Food was really good and outside they had an oyster bar. Look how big that one guys is! They looked to slimey for me. I kinda like oysters but think I’m stopping liking them. The slimeyness over does the taste & other effects for me. Wiggly little buggers. Brown Barbie likes ’em! My peeps comin’ down the red carpet. We arrived early & left fairly early. My new thing, getting real good at it. It takes practice. DJ was really good. Arriving early gives you optimal time for dance breaks before it gets crowded. We were drinking these beers & Stella. After a lovely afternoon shopping the cruising Queen Street yesterday, Jenie & I went to #nerdlearn hosted by The Working Group at The Burroughes building. You know how much I love nerds and events with hashtag titles. The panel was talking mostly about Rails, we only caught the end. I love this space. Old, bright & beautiful. Hosted Puma Social on the 6th floor few months back. Packed house. Such a nice office. Great job on the renos team! Team TWG/babes Andrés & Jon Lim. it’s players like these that are the future

Last year about 20 people like you who ready this bloggy joined me for a TFC soccer game. It was so much fun. My friend Jonathan hooked it all up and if I’m good maybe we can do it again this summer. I’m going to my first game this season on May 7th, the daye before my birthday (mark that day in your calendar and set a reminder). I kid I kid. 😛 The TFC just signed four kids from their youth academy. Check out this special video just for me from 18 year old Matt Stinson. Am I a cougar yet? Actually, I’ll stick with Puma. Hello friends! Feels kinda Springy today, not that I’ve been outside or anything. Erin Leydon shot this of me in the summer. Amazing how the change in time, season, daylight really effects us humans. Oh science, you. CONFETTI! I have a confetti popper in my room and I so bady wanna pop it off the balcony one of these days. I will. Has to be sunny & a little windy to get what I’m looking for. And these two, where do we even start, Gavin, such a babe. This hair makes me happy. Mine is growing on the top, slowly. I would so get extentions so I could have Gewn hair. So great. Remember waaaaaaaay back in like 2009 when I was obsessed with Aggy? I wrote about Aggy Style, her singing, and this one time she was all bruised up. Clearly I have a think for blondes with hair like me, haha. Haven’t seen her around much anymore. Wonder if she is still doing runway? She’s cute as ever still. can’t stop the hurt inside when love and plates collide

Yesterday I was going for coffee I found this in the elevator. It was just sitting there, a tag from an article of clothing made in Japan. Red, skulls, mastermind. To me, it was a sign that I need to do something. A bunch of us are planning #JapanQuakeTO, a fundraiser to be held March 31st. All proceeds donated to Red Cross in support of those affected by the latest destruction in Japan. If you would like to get involved with donations or anything, please let me/us know. Knife Toronto is donating proceeds this weekend to Red Cross. Located on Queen Street near Bathurst. Found this infographic really interesting, click to see in large form. Where will the next quake strike? Here’s lookin’ at you California. Weather & natural disasters are so crazy, fascinating, destructive, powerful. Also kinda interesting is that on Thursday night before I went out to Puma Social I Tweeted this: I have always wanted to go to Japan and the day after I tweeted that, destruction happened. My reasons for wanting to go have completely changed now. If I go it will be for relief efforts, not to ‘be big in Japan’. Amazing how a few hours can change so much. Last night I went to see Morgan play at Supermarket in Kensington for Canadian Music Week/Fest. He was good. I like his song ‘Let It Go’. Keep up the great work Morgan. Hope you have a really great day. I’m working in fundraising for JapanQuakeTO & a couple other things. P.S. if this was your last year to live, would you live it out?

I was sitting on the couch last night and I caved, I purchased the official replica of this ring. Fan girl, crazy, call me what you want. I love her and the Royal Wedding is one thing I really love. I will 100% be up watching despite the time difference. One of the best things about having a blog is keeping memories. I found this one post title “you wouldn’t believe me if i told you” from 2009. I had been asked to go to this fashion show for Puma and in my post after it I wrote: I’d love to do something else for Puma downtown or online please! I’m thinking something that involves me and clothes/shoes/accessories. Thank you, love Casie. Pretty neat I’m doing something with them now. Found this old post from May 2009 when I worked in Liberty Village. The title is a quote I was happy to find “the trouble with jogging is the ice falls out of your glass”. I like this video. thursday feels like friday, i’m ready for the weekend

I wear this on my head all the time. Not for any religious reason or anything, makes me feel safe/good with head/ears covered. I googled ‘covered head sacred brain’ and the first link was something to do with Kabbalah. I just got a new red string. I remmeber this guy I knew, Andre and he always wore a hat, he was a spiritual healer and said he could feel energy going out his head when it was exposed. I dunno if that is true but I kinda like it. This my sh*t: laptop, ipad, cute face, android, glasses. Thanks internet.I lugged my mini-mobile office to 1188 and the hair salon the other day. Not too heavy and I like having all my gadgets. Mac & PC, I go bothways now. Does anyone know if I can return these babies to the Doc store on Queen where I got them? Some of the stitching is has come undone. I think the lifetime warranty is on the sole only. Here goes hair cut, shop chop. That is Darren, check out his salon facebook.com/darrenkwikstudio.
