You Want Me Down on Earth, But I Am Up In Space

I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone…  I crashed my car into the bridge. I watched, I let it burn. I threw your sh*t into a bag and pushed it down the stairs cleaned the house, baked cookies, and make kale chips. Happy Fathers Day! They are a little burnt but I DON’T CARE, I LOVE IT. I crashed drove my car the Lexus all day yesterday to the Bowmanville zoo (photos coming) and around town in massive traffic, but I DON’T CARE, I LOVED IT. This is my Dad & I – Love you Dad! He’s in LA for the LA Roadsters Fathers Day show. I don’t care, I love it. With me in photos is Nataleigh from Coral TV. Photos by Shannon Litt Today is the Field Party, one of the BIGGEST MMVA weekend shindigs. It’s run by my friend Karine Delage and last year I filmed an episode of THIS on Coral TV at the event. It’s the spot everyone goes before hitting the red carpet (or bar) at the MMVAs. Tonight, I’m planning to go to the Universal Music party and the 235 Films party for the Drake video (my BF worked on Started from the Bottom).  Last year he (BF) won an MMVA award for DWW’s ‘Big Wheels’ vid. This year, The Field Inc. is  celebrating  10 MMVA noms for their awesome directors.  Huzzahhhhh! The VIP giftbags are valued at $500 (um, HELLO!) and include the Just Dance video game (I have/love this on XBox!), Green & Black chocolate (YUM!), Atlantis Niagara Ice wine, Hypnotiq, Fireball, Sleeman, John Allans products, Calvin Klein underwear (M/F?), MJ Cosmetics, and treats from Bath & Body Works. Nella Bella FW 2013 Media Preview

This photo is from the FW 2013 launch for Nella Bella the other day. Sean & Brock, both so handsome. I’m glad I cut my hair too. Moto jacket is from Nasty Gal’s first ever collection (SS 2013). Obsessed with that site BTW (HINT HINT BIRTHDAY IS COMING). This private event , hosted by Nella Bella’s Creative Director Tarek Al-Azbat introduced to us and the media to many firsts for the six-year-old fashion house.  New products include scarves, cowls, a PDA carrying case, multi-compartment tote and more wallets. I’ve had a few NB bags over the years and have literally worn them out by taking them around the world and on a zillion adventures. It was lovely to be there supporting Tarek and celebrating with my fashion friends family. I’d really like this big ol’ black one. It is similar to a style from a couple season back that I absolutely LOVED! I can’t believe it’s ALREADY Toronto fashion week World Mastercard Fashion Week again. I usually get a pass but this season didn’t bother. Saw this on the news this morning and had a good laugh. Michelle Obama is the coolest First Lady EVER. I’m trying to remember my Mum doing these moves as a kid. I’m sure she had a few, the snaps. This will give you a good laugh. Enjoy! Was so nice to visit Mum this weekend. This is her, Jenie, Sean, and I back stage for The Sheepdogs concert at Echo Beach last summer. I was probably showing them something amazing on TEH INTERNET.  I’m getting so sick of winter. I want to ride my bike and play outside already! In other news, I cleaned James Dean, my lil’ 11″ Macbook Air last night using this program called Grand Perspective. It lets you creep inside your computer and see what taking up the most space. Somehow all kinds of my gmail.imap messages were saving on my unit and taking up HEAPS of space. I deleted them and now my computer is fast again. Get to know your data people! It’s gonne be stormy tonight. Hopefully this is the last hurrah before Spring comes. Have yourself an awesome day! <3 CASIE

I did all the things on my list today in preparation for a great night. It’s been an amazing year. I’m heading to Lauren’s then to 159 Manning for what it sure to be one epic house party after another. I was going to write a post about the end of the year and stuff but I took a nap instead. Ha! I’m feeling great and will write something tomorrow as I return to regularly scheduled blogging. I am so excited for 2013. We made it past the Mayan prediction and through all kinds of things, and now truly have the ability to make our dreams come true. THIS IS YOUR LIFE Be thankful for everything inyour life, good and bad, it makes you the amazing person you are. Have a safe and fun night. Tell your friends you love them, call your parents if you can. Make a promise to yourself to do something worth writing about each day. You’ll look back and be glad you did. Trust me. I’ve been spending the weekends charging my batteries lately. Monday to Friday are so busy that by the time Saturday morning rolls around all I want to do is cook, clean, and rest. I went to Cavalcade of Lights presented by Great Gulf on Saturday for the first time since I’ve lived in Toronto. It was magical! Had a great sushi lunch at Guirei on Queens Quay yesterday. I like it there cause the sushi is super fresh and the rolls are not cut too thick. Tested out Car2Go at their new Toronto Head office on Bathurst. I’ve never driven a Smart car but I think they’re cute. Stopped by Brill Communications for the launch of two new beauty products. Micropedi is an electric buffer your feet. I have baby feet now, they are so soft. It retails for $39 which is pretty good considering how much a pedi is and you can reuse this little gadget over and over. Easy to use, portable pedicure. Was given some samples of Viviscal. It’s a favourite hair booster of in-the-know celebrities that just launched in Canada. It makes your hair healthy, strong, and grow faster. It’s loved by Liv Tyler, Reese Witherspoon, & Local 706, the Hollywood stylists union. I’m gonna give it a go for the next couple months. My hair is still really short! My fist pony in years. If you can even call that a pony tail! Working at 1188 Films this morning today then going to Oakville to pick up car for Montreal later. Have an awesome day! CASIE

The Weekend: Girls Night, Dinner, Justice, Osheaga

We had girls night on Thursday, us five Spice Girls took to King West. Look out. Michelle, Lauren, Me, Sarah Irie, Hollywood Friday we had 1188 dinner at Parts & Labour for Sean’s birthday. It was nice. They make a mean beavertail. I had a burger but it was mixed up with Matt’s and came rare with cheese. I order ‘no cheese’ everything. Last night I went to my first concert at Fort York, M83 & Justice. M83 was great. I felt like Justice was a light show that went along with a pre-recorded mix. It was fun though. There were LED light sticks flying all over the place. Looked awesome with the bright lights and CN Tower glowing in the background. This week SummerWorks starts and I’m stoked to see some theatre. Hi, hi! Had a nice coffee on the patio in the sunshine. Got this cute heart shirt from Winners last night and it ripped already. Problem with all the sheer is it is so delicate. Head scarf was a vintage gift.  I’m doing a presentation at an ad agency about creative blogging this afternoon. Fun! I love going into new offices and throwing energy all over the place.
