Like Whoa, Whoa Wednesday!

Whoa, whoa, whoaaa! It’s already Wednesday and I feel like I’ve lived a week since Monday. There’s lots going on and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed today but I can handle it. It’s that nervous excited feeling that keeps me going.   Sean got a new needle for his turntable so threw this record on last night and sang out loud while cleaning the house. I’m working to get our spare room turned into a nice little office now that I’m working from home. I hope the neighbours didn’t mind that I put it on repeat, a few times. Bennie and the Jets is one of my ALL TIME fav songs. I had a really great lunch meeting yesterday and am finally putting some production wheels in motion for two projects I can’t talk about. I’m pretty stoked that our film Behind the Red Carpet is now on CBC’s website too. (See here!). Went to Local in Liberty Village and had 1 fish, 1 chicken taco. THEY WERE DELICIOUS. Sunday is my sisters birthday and I booked us a room at the Royal York Hotel. I have never stayed there and it’s one of those places I’ve always thought of as very ‘Toronto’. Tomorrow is my slowest day of the week and I’m looking forward to working on some blog stuff, playing ukulele, and treating myself to a new mani. It’s a weird and wonderful world I live it in but I wouldn’t change it for anything! Hope there’s sunshine where you are and if not, ALWAYS BRING YOUR OWN SUNSHINE! <3 CASIE

Dance w/ Me: #TedBakerAW14 + Holiday Preview

Last night I checked out the AW14 + holiday collections from Ted Baker London at Danceology in Liberty Village. I got to preview a few items a couple weeks ago an upcoming feature shot by  George Pimentel, wore the pink dress! There are some incredibly beautiful items. Ted is a brand with impeccable details, the buttons, collars, inner linings, everything has a touch of personality. The holiday stuff is dreamy with heaps of sparkles. There’s a couple great leather items including a moto jacket with sleeves and a fur collar that zip off. I love this one. All leather. So soft. I love this little riding hat. Andrew Dobson just posted a story w/ a riding hat like this in Metro. But it has a long pony! BTW if you want a marble phone case you can get one here. In other news, there’s a Ted Baker London store opening at the Eaton Centre in October. It’s going to be located on the third floor right across from the Apple Store. Pretty stoked! As an ambassador I’ve hosted a few events at the Yorkdale shop but it’s so far! Stay tuned for the next shopping party! Get Luckee + Get Leather

This week was a busy one. Stayed in last night. There were no cabs due to the rain so I picked Em up from school in a black Lincoln town car from Uber. I had a couple credits so it wasn’t that bad! She was totes excited and I then ordered takeout for dinner. Wednesday was the opening of Susur Lee’s new spot Luckee at the Soho Met hotel. [Susur Lee selfie] Fun opening, and the food I got around to trying was great. I need to go back for a sit down dinner. I’ve done a few things with Met hotels over the years (here + here) plus Community Agency did the Luckee branding so it was great to see lots of familiar faces since we’ve all been hibernating for months. Lauren and I met SANDY COHEN. If you follow me on any other social network you’ve probably seen this already. I loved the OC so much. We were there and Laguna last summer, so much fun. My ‘Celebrity Selfie’ collection is really growing. The Rudsak sample sale is on till Sunday. I’ve worn my new jacket and used my new bag on the daily day since I picked them out Wednesday. Here’s the three items I got. Worth stopping by if you’re in the market for a new bag or leather jacket. I had a gift card to put towards my purchase so it was an even sweeter deal. Heading out to Yorkdale to use a gift card for Ted Baker I’ve been holding onto forever. Hellooo Spring! Rudsak Sample Sale – On Now Till Sunday!

I’ve been going to Rudsak shows at fashion week for a while but I am yet to own something. I remember one year they had these amazing fur/leather hats and I was like I NEED THAT NOW.  I’m heading to check out the sample sale tonight before it opens tomorrow morning, 9am. I really hope I find the perfect black leather jacket. RIP this Muuba jacket (above). It was very thin sheepskin and both pockets just about ripped right off and fell on the floor.  I just retired it about  a month ago.  I scored in the Crystal Light X Holt Renfrew shopping spree/fashion show a couple years ago. That was a fun day with these ladies. 🙂 When the email rolled in about the Rudsak sample sale, I knew I was in luck and so are you. The prices are up to 70% off so you could really score something amazing like one of these gems. They have a great selection of trench coats that I am now drooling over. Is it 5 o’clock yet? Time Travel, there’s an app for that.

    This was at Ottawa Fashion Week after walking the runway wearing Rachel Sin for the closing celebrity show. SO much fun. I totally remember taking this photo and laying in my bed with the sun on my face before going to work. I worked in Liberty Village for an online gaming & casino company. Made lots of good friends there. The thing I love most about his app it that it helps your memory. So many things happen in a day that it’s hard to keep track. I take a lot of photos and this app, keeps all my blog & social media memories alive. Download it and have fun time travelling 🙂 CASIE

This is the big rig that will be travelling across the country seeing millions of people go through the Ultimate Pepsi Taste Challenge. It converts from a truck to a full on Pepsi station to hang out in. They call it “Poptimus Prime“. This time last year I was hosting my own little Pepsi party for Pepsi Throwback. I’m sure you remember THIS: The team has a whole bunch of stuff planned and there’s a good chance you’ll run into their young energetic group assembled with people from across Canada. This is a full 360 of what I saw at the media preview taken from iPhone. You’ll notice they’re really using technology to make the ol’ taste test we knew as kid, super modern. Hey look, Shannon was on the board as I was AT the challenge! TALK ABOUT SOCIAL! In the afternoon I caught the Bud Light Mojito truck giving out free beers. Rumour has it they will be around MuchMusic all month and near King Spadina. Two drinks, perfect for afternoon stop in the park. When you are on the go 25/8/366 you are likely to run out of iPhone battery. Bobcat from Boston sent me this rad charger for my birthday. Charge at home, keep in purse for on the go. It gives you about two hours talk time. Essential for beach party, park chilling and boat rides. Made by Brookstone. Welcome to my grass patch, glass castle in the sky. Shopped the Peacock Parade sale yesterday. Got the vest. You like? I love. There were so many nice things. I realized I have a clothes problem when I looked through the Line Knitwear leathers and found one of my own, the shoes that matched ones I have. I must clean my room. I attempted last weekend but failed. They had a bunch of stuff by Nicole Miller. Remember when her and I were hanging out with Derek in New Zealand? SO fun. The cafe at the hipster Queen Street Loblaws is great for people watching. It’s also sunny. Had a second of sadness as the Fashion Television truck drove by. No more FT. I hear the Dare to Wear Love fashion show was on it. A couple people said they saw me. LIFE GOAL, check that one off the Bucket List. Loved that show for over 20 years. That’s my Tattoo shop beside Shoppers, FY Ink. I’ve got an appointment there tomorrow to get some work on my sleeve done. I’m so incredibly excited. A hot blonde girl is doing it. This is my Sharpie rendition. I always draw them on first, hence why right arm is being done. I’m left handed! Today & tomorrow is a HUGE Billabong sample sale. It used to be held in the Carpet Factory building in Liberty Village when i worked there and I got heaps of stuff over the years. Good prices, lots of merch. I’ve been wearing Billabong for ages, see all kinds of past outfits here.

now that’s a pool party

I love this weekend. Mum has about 20 people coming tomorrow and five of us are going to be part of it. Cleaned the house today. The sunshine is beautiful. We are so luck to have this warm, bright weather. Slumber party tonight then home in early afternoon. Quite excited to see all the sisters together. Must not forget camera. I’ve packed up heaps of goodies to take home. I especially love bringing Mum a few things 😉 Found this dream boat while I was cleaning up. Cashed this at the coin machine today in Liberty Village Metro, ended up with $60. So convenient. I will only ever roll coins for fun from now on. When I was cleaning up I found this  old Globe & Mail article with my sister and I on the Society page. Was for the most epic pool party I’ve ever been to, Bridal Bash II. We’re the “bikini clad blondes” who “commandeered a canoe” filled with vodka flasks who gave shots to the guests. Canoe was the best spot to see the concert, Burton Cummings & a girl from the Supreme’s. Recognize any of these people? Prize if you can. This track is the fav of the week on Bondi FM, my fav radio station in Australia. When I lived in Bondi and for the first few years after, I listened to it all the time. I go back & listen to remind myself of how happy feels.
