This is a full on busy week for film and fashion in Toronto. My fav things! Thursday night Toronto joins the world in celebrating Fashion’s Night Out and kicks off Toronto International Film Fest.. There are Fashion’s Night Out events ALL OVER the city, in fact, it’s famous for it, making it one of the most desirable places to live. Take a look at Toronto Real Estate if you fancy moving to one of the most exciting cities in the world. See below below for a list of participating retailers. Last night went to Nella Bella’s FW 2012 media reception. I’ve been taking NellaBella bags on all my travels, bike rides, festivals & fun for the last two years. They’re got lots of different shapes & styles this year. One of the designers for this collection, Andreas Kyriakos who started working with them at 15, he’s 16 now, but still,  he designed a whole batch of beautiful things. I got to catch up with a few really lovely girls I hadn’t seen in a while.  Thanks Raymi, you babe, for photos and Tarek for the invite. Can’t wait to get something new and BRIGHT! Bring on, SPRING on! My current fav is the KIEV bag in black (in photo but hard to see). It fits my 11 Macbook Air, camera and a few other necessities. Social what? There’s a new buzz word created every :02 seconds but ‘socialight’ is one I wasn’t really familia with. Socialite, yes. I’ve been a social person my whole life and I also like working hard and doing nice things for others. When I was introduced to the SociaLIGHT conference, I smiled knowing there’s gonna be lots of like minded people in a room together. I’m speaking on a panel this weekend at MTCC for the Socialight Conference. It’s a one day event for entrepreneurs & small business people from across Canada. Never heard of it? No problem! This vid will give you the low down in < :60 seconds. Did you know that “Last November, more than 100 countries celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week and now 2011 has been recognized as the Year of the Entrepreneur in Canada.”  Learned that and some other smart facts from the Canadian Guv’s Biz dept. I’ve had an entrepreneurial fire burnin’ for years. In 1996 I won Young Entrepreneur of Cambridge for a publishing company I co-founded. Being on a panel at MTCC is totally checking something of a list for me. I’ve been going there & seeing speakers since I was a kid. Check out the other great speakers here. This past summer I hosted the Bench room during BHD Suites Gifting Lounge on MMVA weekend (here, here & here). The lovely peeps at Bench asked me if I have any upcoming events they could dress me for.  I mentioned the SociaLIGHT conference and today I had a shopping party for one at the Eaton Centre! This week is so exciting. I’ve got events every night, all kinds of fun stuff each day and NXNE & MMVA to cap off the weekend. The Broken Heel Diaries magazine is hosting a gifting lounge MMVA weekend and I’m one of their bloggers. I’ll be working with the BHD team & awesome bloggers  Coco&Lowe , HustleGRL, JayStrut and Marcus Troy. Woo hoo!   Have you ever been to a gifting lounge? It’s totally awesome. where i got my ipad. an empty space lined with caution tape now, only a memory. hung out at starbucks, i read apps and downloaded information to my brain. smart. oh, to be that sweet breeze that brushes by and makes you feel warm then smile. do you men know about this store? if i was a man i would check it out. i will, they blog. i am addicted to where’s waldo like a child. i will find you all, wizard, scroll, wenda. afternoon stopover in this little spot. the 420 so well hidden from daytime traffic. i find this type of construction a joy to watch. all the little men like lego, building. is this what my building looks like under ground? fascinating really, isn’t it? so many beautiful buildings in our city. sometimes the sun hits them just right. benches for tomorrow. i don’t have a poppy. war isn’t the same now as when grandad went. the leaves are so very beautiful in the sun this time of year, look at their beauty. these ones were so dull, their colour had been lost and the wind blew them all away. dear this time of year, i love you. stay for a while, will you please? xo casie popped into the most colourful store in the city, peach berserk for some sunshine. arrived home and got this travel pack in the mail. thank you to the team at @constantbody. that is my day in photos. i will stay home for the rest of the day now 🙂
