Love is in the air this week! I adore Valentines Day mostly because hearts are my fav print, flowers, cinnamon hearts, and presents. Last year my bf surprised me with a gift from Tiffany’s and I’ve been wearing it since. Nothing really planned this year bc Sean is shooting a commercial this weekend and I’m shooting a new YouTube series I’m in with Cuisinart. Summer I Miss You, My Love.

I can’t stop thinking about summer. I need to get my a$$ to hot yoga or something. I’m not sure WHAT it is but I’ve been feeling so blarghhhh the last few days. Spent a few hours getting pampered on the weekend followed by a day of relaxation w/ my one true love then BAM I was sick on Monday. Gimme a break! Thinking Sean and I might hop over to Jamaica or somewhere hot next month. I’m dying to feel the sun on my face and salty ocean water on my skin. My few days off work last week were nice but I was still so connected to the Internet (and work) that it wasn’t really much of a break. You know what I mean? I feel like I need a ‘real vacation’ a digital detox. In other news, Valentines Day is coming up and we’ve not really got anything planned. I’d like to have a nice dinner and get a good sleep. I’m old now, lol. Last year I was surprised with a bracelet from Tiffany’s and he made me bacon hearts. It was perfect. I have a few giveaways for things for you coming up over the next few days. Scandinave Spa Getaway for Two

Scandinave is a great spa tucked away in the woods at Blue Mountain. They’re got all the spa services of any other place but with the addition of Scandinavian Bath nature spa experience. The renowned Scandinavian Baths include a Finnish Sauna, Eucalyptus Steam Room, Thermal & Nordic Waterfalls, Hot Baths, Cold Plunges & relaxation areas. I’ve been here before but this time it was REALLY COLD. It’s a great place to visit but I’d advise against going in a Polar Vortex. Sean and I braved the blowing wind for about 45 minuted. In less brutal conditions, people stay for 2-3 hours. AED 🙂 The roads driving back to the city were pretty gnarly. The snow banks were as high as the car and snow was blowing all over the place. Coming back to the city brought on a wave of traffic and city stress. And just like that…we’re back to work.

Oh hai. Back to work. It’s cold. Stress hits you like a ton of bricks the second you get back to this wIld city! We ran into a bunch of road closures trying to leave Collingwood and then there was a gunman on the loose in my work/home neighbourhood. Traffic was insane. Sean had a late meeting to get to. It’s amazing how a few days of relaxation can just evaporate witht the hustle and bustle of city life. I long for the days when I used to live in Australia and the beach + surf was my sanctuary. In other news, I have a package from NastyGal (with shoes!) at the Postie and my new glasses from Warby Parker arrive today. Booked a 90 min massage + pedicure for Saturday morning so countdown to the weekend is on. I really hope Spring comes early this year, Winter has been a real B*TCH THIS YEAR! 🙂 <3 CASIE P.S. Music Monday + GIF Madness

Monday Madness! Busy day ahead. Catching up on weekend ‘tings at the office. Blue hair don’t care. It’s cold but oh so sunny outside. Just ate a poutine. Dinner w/ friends at the Four Seasons after work. Got back a bunch of photos from my shoot this weekend w/ Adrian Fiebig, squeee! Ordered new prescription glasses (finally after like 5 years). The Weekend was Made for Lovers

Had a lovely sunday afternoon w/ Sean. Went to the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Had a nice lunch at the Dog & Bear on Queen. This is the “stop taking my photo” face. Ha, anyone who has dated a blogger just has to deal with certain things like taking their photo, having their photo taken, or holding their stuff. Love you for it though! The tacos at Dog & Bear are sooooo good. The whole menu is splendid TBH. Walked Otis, the much loved Italian Greyhound at the 1188 Studio. Sometimes I think a puppy would be ok to have but then I walk someone else’s dog and it dog slobbers on me, gets hair on my outfit, or goes to the bathroom on the floor and I take it all back. No dog for me. Deff no cats either! Next weekend we head up North for 5 days of snow hills, spas, and our very own two bedroom suite at Blue Mountain. It’s a winter min-break just like Bridget and Marc Darcy! Except snowboarding and none of the other people lol. Can’t wait! Life Imitates Blog, Art Imitates Life

This is my life in a blog it is art, in many forms all at the SAME TIME. Love poems, love and poems. I have written so many poems over the years, it’s really about time to publish a second book. I wrote an anthology that was published back in 1996 called ‘JEANS’. Find it on Google Books here. Made this rad ‘BITCHES AIN’T SHIT’ laptop skin for Cameron at Untitled & Co. this week. Celebrate what you want to see more of.

Had an awesome New Year’s Eve with Lauren and the Seans. We had dinner at SoHo House and the food was fantastic. After that we went to the Gillespie bro’s party. Spent the entire first day of the year on the couch with my love watching movies. Ordered all my favs from Magic Oven and got a great sleep. Excited for a great year full of adventure. Globe & Mail: Casie & Lauren at Soho House w/ Grey Goose

Just came across this photo of Lauren and I in the Globe & Mail from Grey Goose’s Cherry Noir event at the Soho House the other day. Yesterday at the Queen’s Plate I was hanging out with some of the reps from Grey Goose and Sean and I got to deliver the Grey Goose horse blanket to the winner of Race 7. Lozzie and I rolled up to the SoHo House all Blonde Girl Bike Gang style on our bikes. Too bad our summer has been so mehhh, we’ve not been able to bike together much. Trevor is a Brand Ambassador for Grey Goose who travels around mixing cocktails and talking about the brand. he was there yesterday at the race doing a TV spot, if you caught it or see it on TV today, you’ll see my in the background! Motion and Emotion

Oh, just floating on the dock reading about advertising and ideas in the sun. There is nowhere else I would rather be right now. Waves crash on the wood every time a boat crosses the lake. When I close my eyes, it’s like I could lay here forever. Planning to BBQ some steaks for dinner and hopefully watch sunset by the fire. Maybe a canoe ride and Sean can do most the paddling! The Wilderness, Downtown People

It’s hard to sleep in up here. The air is so fresh and it’s oh so quiet. The lake is still as a rock, frozen in time. Watched the sunset on the roof. It was realllllly cold. I had tears running down my face, almost turning to icicles. Sean took some snaps with the camera, camera. Nice to have a break from the city and be back up here. Spa Week is on Right Now!

On Monday night I took Sean for a Spa Week treatment to Richmond Spa. It was SO nice. After a long weekend in Boston and feeling anxiety over the bombings, it was a chance to completely shut off my brains and go offline. We each had a 30 minute deep tissue massage with exfoliating back scrub, detox foot bath (with different detox foot bath systems), a foot massage and a paraffin treatment on our hands. IT WAS SO GREAT! Spa Week runs until Sunday and you can get all the participating spas by visiting spaweek.com and entering your city. Last night I used this Collagen treatment I got in my Spa Week gift bag and OH MY GOD. I could use these every night. they were so cooling before bed. I had a great beauty sleep and woke up refreshed. Next on the agenda is to bike more now that the WEATHER HAS FINALLY DECIDED to get warmer. I can’t wait for summer. This is my first summer in years that I’ll have a FT job. Luckily, our office is right beside Bellwoods in my fav hood. Love ya! CASIE

Who could hang a name on you? When you change with every new day.

Hello, hope the day is treating you well. Huge haul at The Sweet Potato last night. I made a nice healthy dinner and he played records. I also made kale chips. Who am I?! If this is growing up, I really like it. Feels good to have quiet nights at home after being on the go for the last 5 years at every event in the city. I’m much pickier about the things I go to these days. The sky in Toronto was really beautiful last night. Had a drink and snack at The Drake hotel with a former colleague from MTV. My how times change! It’s always nice to catch up with old friends. If they’ve been reading my blog, we seem to always pick up right where we left off. Pretty stoked to go to Boston next weekend. Crazy thing, the people from CityPASS contacted me after I mentioned them in the CAA post last week about travelling to NY & LA. The power of THE INTERNET is truly amazing! Looking forward to touring around the city and showing Sean all my fav spots. We’ll start with Harvard, MIT, and the Boston Common. Hopefully we have spring weather by then! Last weekend I booked a trip with Sean to visit some friends next month in Boston. I go there about twice a year for a mini vacation. He’s never been to ‘beantown’ so I’m pretty excited to show him around the gorgeous city. Nella Bella FW 2013 Media Preview

This photo is from the FW 2013 launch for Nella Bella the other day. Sean & Brock, both so handsome. I’m glad I cut my hair too. Moto jacket is from Nasty Gal’s first ever collection (SS 2013). Obsessed with that site BTW (HINT HINT BIRTHDAY IS COMING). This private event , hosted by Nella Bella’s Creative Director Tarek Al-Azbat introduced to us and the media to many firsts for the six-year-old fashion house. New products include scarves, cowls, a PDA carrying case, multi-compartment tote and more wallets. I’ve had a few NB bags over the years and have literally worn them out by taking them around the world and on a zillion adventures. It was lovely to be there supporting Tarek and celebrating with my fashion friends family. I’d really like this big ol’ black one. It is similar to a style from a couple season back that I absolutely LOVED! You know what I’m talking about. If your boss comes up to you says something about the ‘harlem shake’ you better it’hope it’s not about doing one, or you might as well Gangnam Style right out of the office. We posted a b-l-o-g at work written by Dylan about people coming late to the meme. It’s basically THE WORST thing you can do for your company, office, or brand. You risk being known as ‘behind the times’ forever. When it comes to memes, either get on that bus early or don’t get on at all. The viral video game is all about speed. Going “viral” is a funny thing. You can’t know if your video will ever go viral. You can’t plan for it to go viral. You can’t predict it will go viral. You can’t guarantee it will, or force it to go viral. The only thing you can ever really know about a viral video is that its popularity has faded. Eventually, everything viral dies. Time Flies When You’re Makin’ Stuff

I really love the TimeHop app. I’ve subscribed to it via email for about a year and they recently just released an app for mobile. The best thing is the reminder of that you did one year ago, “it’s a time capsule for you”. I can’t believe it was almost exactly four years ago my sister and I dressed up for the subway dance party. It’s crazy how fast time flies. There was booze in that coffee cup and I look like Waldo’s girlfriend. One of the coolest things about the Internet is that it keeps all your memories. I deleted thousands of files from my computer last night and Sean asked, “do you need these?” I happily answered, “No, they’re all on the Internet.” Yes, I have the important stuff backed up but almost everything I’ve created over the last decade has been published. Jimmy & Michelle Mom Dancing?

Saw this on the news this morning and had a good laugh. Michelle Obama is the coolest First Lady EVER. I’m trying to remember my Mum doing these moves as a kid. I’m sure she had a few, the snaps. This will give you a good laugh. Enjoy! Was so nice to visit Mum this weekend. This is her, Jenie, Sean, and I back stage for The Sheepdogs concert at Echo Beach last summer. I was probably showing them something amazing on TEH INTERNET. I’m getting so sick of winter. I want to ride my bike and play outside already! In other news, I cleaned James Dean, my lil’ 11″ Macbook Air last night using this program called Grand Perspective. It lets you creep inside your computer and see what taking up the most space. Somehow all kinds of my gmail.imap messages were saving on my unit and taking up HEAPS of space. I deleted them and now my computer is fast again. Get to know your data people! I’m Sorry.

I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging as much as I used to. I had a great chat with a friend and loyal blog reader this weekend about my blog THIS IS MY LIFE. I have been updating daily for years up until January of this year and to be honest, I was tired and didn’t really feel like sharing. Maybe I had the winter blues? I’ve also been feeling a little dissatisfied with the blog. I would like to implement a few changes like switching to a more reliable web hosting platform in order to improve my reader’s experience. However, I need to learn more about A2 Hosting first. I started blogging so I had a place to keep all my memories. A collection of people, places, things, and thoughts. It evolved, took me around the world, to red carpets, runways, TV, print, and even film. I would not have been able to do all those wonderful things without you guys reading about all the adventures. Thank you 🙂 In other news, I’m back on track this week after the nasty cold I had last week. Attended a funeral on the weekend and got to stop by and visit boith Mum and Dad with Sean. Always nice to give them hugs and have a few laughs. Mum framed these and kept them out to show me. I’ve always been an artistic kid… … with a flare for the media!
