I attended one of the first sessions for NXNE Interactive this morning. Couple people I know were on the panel and I like to surpport them as well as the session itself was interesting: Social Media Circle Jerking 101. I’m surprised that I didn’t take considering all the girls I saw there: Carly, Abby, Lucia, Lisa & Jas. That’s a social media circle jerk right there. haha. Couldn’t help but think of Raymi, she always calls the SM events circle jerks. It’s true really, a bunch of ‘meme’ people in a room talking about themselves. I had a really fun time last night. Like, reeeeeeeeeally fun.  Stayed late at work tweeting @muchmusic before shipping over to Rivoli to hang out with a bunch of music industry peeps from different labels etc.  I met this adorable little miss with great style named Monica who just moved here from Australia. I also met her lovely BF Ricky who…. PLAYS GUITAR FOR LADY GAGA! I die. I die. You know how much I love her. After that I cruised over to see 40Deuce & Hawaii for a hang then peeped over to #loserkaraoke and sang me some Telephone. I love my friends. I love my job. I love Friday and I love the weekend. Cheers to life and living it out. FTW!

i feel like a celebrity in this room with you

Woke up and had as couple great phone chats with friends. Fun night out with the work mates last night. I seriously love my work. I love what i’m doing and the people. Tomorrow May 2, marks 6 months working with MuchMTV. I was in my old job for two years and knew it wasn’t where I wanted to be. I needed to be doing somehting I loved. I loved twitter and blogging and publishing and internet and I knew I could find a job where I could show that love in a big way. I found it. There are so many new jobs popping up all the time, we’re a lucky generation to be able to say “Hey I want  __________ and I’m gonna get it.” One of the video’s I did for My City Lives last week talks about GenyTO and the group of like minded individuals behind the idea that started it in Jan 2009. I’m so inspired by the friends I’ve made over the last couple years. You can watch the vid’yo here, having trouble embedding it for some reason. Look who’s a Degrassi student today! I was running into a meeting earlier today and my boss asked if my shirt was new and if I was going to the big meeting this afternoon. “No” I said, “oh, it’s a DEGRASSI meeting” he replied.  I look like SUCH a keener and I love it. Abby gave it to me last night as a thank you for inviting her to my Hills party.  She works with the show which is awesome cause it’s gonna be airing on MuchMusic. BTW if you ever wanna come watch The Hills with me at MTV, just ask! I’ll be hanging out there on Tuesday nights. Remember last week when I filmed with My City Lives, the vids are aliiiiiive! Popped over to see Darren this morning and got a little grey-ness put into my hair. It’s on the runways this season and I really wanted to have it done before fashion week. Tonight is Twestival and I’m super excited to be surrounded by everyone tonight. Tickets are almost SOLD OUT. If you want one get it here. There’s over 400 people already attending. I’m giving away two tickets on @mtvcanada‘s Twitter today, we’ve had SO MANY RT’s! It’s awesome. Friday night’s #genyto #Canlit was awesome. Rannie took all these great shots. I was on video recording all night. Rannie & Renee, loves! Coleman at the boozy table. Got to #genyto #canlit about 9er. Hi from some of the babes! Drank, danced, chatrouletted party style, took some vids, the usual stuff. BTW, chat roulette is REALLY fun at parties. It’ll catch on for that reason I think. Try it next time and tell me about it. Was very successfully not hungover. Looking back though all the video’s, I’m kinda surprised. Met a bunch of internet Tweeps and blog readers IRL which is always exciting. I have about 50 video’s. Most of them are for a little movie project that I was planning to start at sundown but I was fucking around with an Ikea bed that I am now going to return. Soooofuuuuhhhhkingpisssssssedoffaboutit. So beauty out today. Bunch of Blog Girls & Sean Ward are coming over for a hang.Yahooots.

But now we’re not. We’re still a good fit but we’ve given each other some room. It stayed the same, I got a smaller. One of my vintage fav’s. I’ve been babysitting it for Natalie for years, it didn’t fit her at the time but she couldn’t bear to part with, so I’ve been taking good care of it. Really good care by taking it out and dancing with it and showing it off on the internet. hehe BTW speaking of style, calling BLOGGERS who like fashion for an @mtvcanada event or two. I can’t tell you just what it is yet but GOOD. I’m excited (gonna blog it too), stoked to be able to invite cool peeps like YOU. If you’re interested send me/comment with your blog & email addy!
