Athlete is back today, maybe I will get to kiss him again? Answered a bunch on formspring yesterday. I love you all for reading this blog and commenting. I wish I had the time to share more stuff with you.  Until next time, have a great day xo Case

introduced to your blog via Professor at Queen’s U

Got this email last night… “I am a Film&Media student at Queen’s U. I was recently introduced to your blog via Professor Sidney Eve Matrix (specializing in social media trends), when she used your 12secvid status update as an example in her lecture on “statuspheres“. I checked out your blog and am very surprised at how you live your life so publicly. I am very excited about social media and am definitely a regular engager, but as a woman (this is going to sound weird) I get very discouraged from being more “open” to the public eye because of privacy issues ie. stalkers, perves, etc. How do YOU DO IT? How do you deal with people like that? Is this simply of your attitude towards things like this? You ignore them? This might seem like an odd e-mail, but I’ve been waiting to talk to a female who is deeply immersed in social media about issues of privacy and so forth…any input/thoughts/advice that you have, I’d be more than glad to listen!” I looked up Sydney and she writes a blog called Cyberpop, tracking trends of digital pop culture. Cool stuff there. I’m gonna reply to her student this evening. I never took any classes on social media, I was there when it all started. I spent so many (and still do) late nights diving  in head first and surfing through the world wild web; I kinda traded my surf board for a keyboard. Very cool to be part of a class, I hope for more stuff like this in 2010. If you ever wanna ask me something, go right ahead!

TGIF: this is shit i like

Here’s my Friday roundup of good shit I’ve found around the interwebs. I’ve had a busy ass week of long days and late nights…that’s the price you pay for doing what you love! I try not to get down on myself for not getting everything done right away. I’m kinda anal about sticking to my own rigorous schedule.  I have to remind myself “there’s only 24 hours in a day Casie and you need sleep to keep going”.  Talking to myself really helps too.  haha joking. not joking. Twitter: Need I say more? No. Google: Featuring a YouTube video I found the other day. The put a very unique Coke machine in a College. I like this kinda thing, makes ya feel good in the inside. Where will happiness strike next? Here, right here. Internet: News about Conan went wild in online this week. Then, he put his show on Craigslist. Clicking the image will take you to the original posting. Facebook: I posted on twitter looking for anyone with a Haiti connection that wanted to be on MuchOnDemand. I was connected to Didier Dorelien, a Haitian residing in Toronto now via Lava. I arranged for him to be on the show. Here is the video: I was really touched watching this video on Facebook. I found out last night that his parents have been located but there are still so many people missing. . He’s coming back next week to talk about Haiti with the governor general. I’ll continue to help out where I can. Hope you all had a great day 🙂

Monday will be beautiful too, it will be day 4: 04012010, the numbers look nice.

TGIF – all i hear is click click keyboards

I’ve got some exciting news… I’m heading to NEW YORK and CUBA with my favorite for Christmakkuh. So excited. OMG. Leaving in two weeks… I didn’t update my blog yesterday but let me tell you, tweets are flying with what I  am doing 24/7/365. If you’re ever bored and have already trolled this blog, go read my tweets. You just might pee your pants.  I laugh and love it. For example, today I had toasted coconut after a Boston creme #FML. My friend posted these old pics on Facebook yesterday and I had a chuckle. I’ve changed so much over the years. These were all in about 1998-199. I looked TOTALLY different in 2001 here. New show at work, Jersey Shore. haha so funny;  beers +bitches +beach +protein +tanning +hair gel +cologne = guidos.  I’ve been talking with an accent all day and I can’t get enough.  I’m watching the repeat right now. Tonight is heart for the Holidays at Marben. Come out. Have drinks fun & party with me and a zillion of TO’s coolest., smartest & best looking GenY peeps. See ya there! Happy Friday! TGIF

Can you imagine this was your last holiday with your mom or dad? I can’t.

Heart for the Holidays from Heart for the Holidays on Vimeo. Can you imagine this was your last holiday with sister or brother? Girlfriend or boyfriend? Some people have to and that is a heart wrenching thought to me. Just stop and think about it for a moment…seriously. You know I’m a positive girl and I can’t imagine the effect it would have on me knowing it was the last Christmas with one of my family members. I’d be a complete wreck. This is Mum and Dad with my awesome sister Jenie. I love you guys!! The Heart House Hospice is a volunteer driven organization which reaches out to these families in their time of greatest need. With your help we can give them the best holiday ever while they still have the chance to live it! To make a donation from yourself or your company visit heartfortheholidays.com. Come out next Friday, December 4th to celebrate the season with us for a wonderful cause. Get your tickets right here. Looking forward to seeing some new faces out this time 🙂

get a heart on this holiday season

You can’t rain on my parade! It’s gonna rain all week and if you need some sunshine you can find it here. I was happy to see a Christmas Tree standing in the window of the bank on my way to work this morning. I’m not really a big Christmas-loving-person but I really love giving. This season, I’m planning to some some serious giving of my time, energy,  PRESENTS to you my readers. For the holidays, a bunch of us behind #GenyTO have launched a campaign called Heart for Holidays. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for Hospice of Canada. Our donation does directly to families affected by terminal illness and give them food and gifts to be able to enjoy what might be the last holiday season they share together. We’re having a party on December 4th and we’d all love you to come. If you can’t make it, it would be really nice of you to purchase a ticket so you can still be involved in the giving. Trust me, giving feels so good inside. If you would like to donate a prize, gift basket or some moolah to our event for Hospice of Canada. Email, Tweet, or holler at me and we’ll sort out the details. Have an awesome day! Happy Monday Tuesday!

factory girl

I slept for 12 hours last night. I laid down, exhausted, at 8pm and was woken up after 1am. Sabrina thought I had been at the Notable TV party. My body and mind obviously needed rest. Today’s a day for wellies, a mini and no tights….it’s gonna be 17 degrees! Oh, I love! I’m kinda gonna miss walking through the factory each morning. It’s really pretty especially during fall when the leaves on the vines change colour. Sabrina and I really enjoy this red vine. Don’t mind the gay look on my face! I’m much better when I smile… There’s a lot of history and old fixtures that I enjoy; the rail tracks, old boiler room, old fire hydrants. The new office will have it’s own things to love, this I do not doubt. The closing date for the Harajuku Lovers contest is FRIDAY! I originally messed up the date but have been informed by the sponsors that it is TOMORROW. I’ll be making the draw for the winner after 5pm. Tomorrow night the October edition of GenYTO at Spice Safar on King West. Come celebrate with me. Come meet and greet with a bunch of TO’s smart, young, cool people. It is a night not to be missed!! What’s up with the new Olympic Torch design? I don’t like it. I prefer a REAL torch.

did ya get my costumes from the cleaners?

It’s Monday morning…I’m looking forward to Friday and all the days in between. This week is jam packed with exciting things and it is going to be f-u-n. I’ve got my dress at the cleaners for the 1950’s Madwomen party on Tuesday. Wednesday is Fashion Week time with Notable TV‘s Fashion Week Affair in the evening. Thursday is my time. Friday is GenyTO. Saturday is zombie walk. Depending what you fancy there’s plenty of fun to be had. I’d like to wish Happy Birthday to the Amazing Saul Colt, Courtney ‘save it for later’ Greig and my friend I miss in NZ Simon a.k.a DJ MON. Thinking of you and your awesomeness. Have a great day guys 🙂

pay it backward more than ever

I’m touched every time I see the Where the Wild Things Are preview. Must dig up the ‘Save the Wild Things’ shirt before I go see it. Notable TV put up a preview video about Pay it Backward Day you can see here. We’ll get the total count this week. I spoke with Daily Challenge co-founder Darius Bashar and he said the numbers are ridiculous. I ran into some friends there including Warren and Sass who (thankfully!) had camera’s to capture us in action. Warren broke the existing world record and was number 603. Woot! Check out stylish little Sass from Zucket.com. She’s in the Much VJ search along with Lady Duva. I thought about entering…  Check out Sass’ video here and Duva here. Best of luck to all the girls I know! Love that we posed kinda the same . Blog girls are so cute ♥

2000 small acts of kindness one big difference

I would like to take a minute to remind you ALL that tomorrow is Pay it Backward Day. I’ll be at the PIB headquarters as Chief Firecracker located at Second Cup, Queen & John (across from Much Music). However, if you can’t make it there, find one of the 170 locations across Ontario. Finally, if you can’t make it to Ontario, you can still take part by making a donation through the secure donation form on the Daily Challenge site. This time, our goal is to raise $10,000 for the Sick Kids Foundation in less than 12 hours.  Second Cup will donate $5.00 to the cause when you buy the person BEHIND you in line a coffee. In April, we had over 600 people take part in about four hours. I KNOW we can do this. Flow 93.5 will be broadcasting live, Metro news & Notable TV will be there and MANY other cool do-gooders. Last time I got asked out on a date by a total hunk so you never know what might happen! See you tomorrow 🙂

Hi and welcome to my online profile for Digital Marketing Coordinator with the MuchMTV Group. Thanks for checking me out. Connect with Me: Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, References: I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Casie for a little less than a year now. She’s an active blogger and all-round web content generator. She’s bright, energetic, connected, passionate and communicates well. I’ve been to several corporate events with Casie and she’s almost always the life of the party. Casie’s a blackberry addict, a twitterholic and well known as an online blogger. MTV would be lucky to have her on the digital team and I endorse her as an online bright spark.” “I have had the honour to work with Casie on many different social media events including all the GenYTO community socials, a professional organization that she helped get off the ground. (www.genyto.com).  She is an incredibly talented, outgoing, and trendy person, but more importantly she is great at creating and engaging communities. Her blog, www.casiestewart.com – This is My Life, is one of a kind.  She has a creative and witty way of making the most uneventful moments fun; the sign of a great writer and a truly imaginative mind.  Her marketing talent far surpasses many people I know.  I would highly recommend her for any social media and marketing position.” Renée Warren Social Media Facilitator www.reneewarren.com Twitter: Renee3 | [email protected] “When it comes to web 2.0 and online social media, Casie is the Queen.  I’ve watched her and worked with her steadily throughout the last year or so and what she does in the online arena is stupefying.  She ‘gets’ the Internet, loves it passionately, and people listen to her.  Fueled by that love and passion, watch Casie get the word out.  Watch her connect people.  I’ve seen what…
