I love seeing brands create good video content. Now, I’m a little bias on this one because I’ve been working w/ Ted Baker London for over a year and I absolutely love the clothes. Here’s a look at what’s coming to a store near you for Autumn/Winter 2015. Since it’s Thursday, here’s a pic Ted Baker posted from my visit to their 5th Avenue Grand House in New York last August. OH HEYYYYYYYY. LIKE MY NEW SHIRT? I came across this beauty and just had to have it! They were out of stock when I placed my order so I kinda forgot about it, then when I came home from vacation, it was here. ‘Turonno’ by Button Machine calls to how us Torontonians say ‘Toronto’. Nobody says ‘Tor-onto’ we all say Turonno. I absolutely LOVE when brands send it little ad-ons when you buy something online. They included their ‘Ol’ Dirty Rob‘ sticker. Thanks guys! In other news, I really hope we get a new mayor when the election rolls around. Our choices aren’t that great, but just about anyone is better than RoFo! ![Cat Footwear SS 2014 | New Shoes For Me and YOU!]()
Hi guys! Let me tell you about my new shoes and how you can win a pair! I recently got to check out the latest from Cat Footwear and was once again impressed with the stylish and dainty yet rugged styles. You’ll recognize the logo from construction equipment and big machines but little did you know they also make really nice shoes. You might remember a while back when I got my first pair Cat of boots, Stella. The leather is SO soft and I wore these babies for an entire winter and walked all over the city, and to different cities on my travels. They are very comfortable and as time goes on, they age like a fine wine. From the Spring 2014 look-book I picked the ‘Mahoney’ in Nile. They are a clean classic oxford with a nice solid sole and leather upper. I’ve got a pair with your name on them! Plus, we wear shoes pretty much every day, so whether you buy shoes from sites like Peter Sheppard, from a charity shop or from a shoe store on the highstreet, hopefully, it will be money worth spent. I have this coffee shop that I regularly pass by on my way to work where the regulars always comment on my shoes. They don’t know anything about me except that I work in the area, so, they nicknamed me ‘Shoes’. One husband said he doesn’t understand why his wife has SO MANY shoes, “she only has two feet!” he said. I was quick witted in my reply, “but there are 365 days of the year, honey!’. Laughter ensued a the table and throughout the shop. I left with a smile from ear to ear. Shoeme.ca recently asked me to be an Ambassador and offered me a $150 gift card for the site. In my first visit I was pretty impressed with the prices and selection. I’m all about cute flats for summer so I was stoked to see Keds and Converse. I picked out these two pairs of Keds (as seen on Taylor Swift) and a cute pair of Hush Puppies all for my $150 (shipping included). Sean got me this Good Kid Mad Hope hoodie from the CSAW Company for my birthday. Didn’t realize just HOW rad CSAW is. It’s also super soft and perfect for this not-yet-summer weather we’re having. You’ll see me living in this and the COTTAGE sweater (both from Community 54) right into the fall. Ellie Goulding in the same hoodie. Whut whut. I’m ready for the weekend. Heading up to Muskoka later this afternoon. Can’t wait to be on the lake, and wake up in the wilderness tomorrow morning. ![Get Luckee + Get Leather]()
This week was a busy one. Stayed in last night. There were no cabs due to the rain so I picked Em up from school in a black Lincoln town car from Uber. I had a couple credits so it wasn’t that bad! She was totes excited and I then ordered takeout for dinner. Wednesday was the opening of Susur Lee’s new spot Luckee at the Soho Met hotel. [Susur Lee selfie] Fun opening, and the food I got around to trying was great. I need to go back for a sit down dinner. I’ve done a few things with Met hotels over the years (here + here) plus Community Agency did the Luckee branding so it was great to see lots of familiar faces since we’ve all been hibernating for months. Lauren and I met SANDY COHEN. If you follow me on any other social network you’ve probably seen this already. I loved the OC so much. We were there and Laguna last summer, so much fun. My ‘Celebrity Selfie’ collection is really growing. The Rudsak sample sale is on till Sunday. I’ve worn my new jacket and used my new bag on the daily day since I picked them out Wednesday. Here’s the three items I got. Worth stopping by if you’re in the market for a new bag or leather jacket. I had a gift card to put towards my purchase so it was an even sweeter deal. Heading out to Yorkdale to use a gift card for Ted Baker I’ve been holding onto forever. Hellooo Spring! I’ve been going to Rudsak shows at fashion week for a while but I am yet to own something. I remember one year they had these amazing fur/leather hats and I was like I NEED THAT NOW. I’m heading to check out the sample sale tonight before it opens tomorrow morning, 9am. I really hope I find the perfect black leather jacket. RIP this Muuba jacket (above). It was very thin sheepskin and both pockets just about ripped right off and fell on the floor. I just retired it about a month ago. I scored in the Crystal Light X Holt Renfrew shopping spree/fashion show a couple years ago. That was a fun day with these ladies. 🙂 When the email rolled in about the Rudsak sample sale, I knew I was in luck and so are you.
