Boston Bound with Travel Savings from CAA

Last weekend I booked a trip with Sean to visit some friends next month in Boston. I go there about twice a year for a mini vacation. He’s never been to ‘beantown’ so I’m pretty excited to show him around the gorgeous city. Mum is always first to remind me about the importance of travel insurance and for this trip I was able to purchase it online through CAA using my new CAA membership. As I was checking out all the life-side assistance benefits from CAA I was happy to find out I can save money on a Boston CityPASS. The CityPASS allows you to check out some of the greatest attractions in the city at a discounted price. It’s valid 9 days from day of first use and you get to skip most ticket lines with your CityPASS in hand. You know I hate waiting in lines! CityPASS gives you admission to these 5 must-see Boston attractions: New England Aquarium (Never been!) Museum of Science (Never been!) Skywalk Observatory So cool. See photo below! Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (Never been!) Harvard Museum of Natural History OR Revolutionaty Boston at The Old State House The Boston CityPASS was $89.95 and with CAA I saved $45.96 PER TICKET. After having my membership for a mere two months, I have saved more than the membership itself costs! Yeah! I went to the skywalk last year it it was so neat! There’s a full 360 view of downtown Boston. The night I was there the Blue Jays were playing the Red Socks at Fenway Park and I took this photo. I think the Jays won. If you love travel like me, you’ll be happy to know that CAA’s wide variety of travel benefits also feature these fine cities. Atlanta is famous for its…

World MasterCard Fashion Week FW 2013

It’s freezing guys. Too cold for fashion week! WTF is up with the snow? This is what backstage in hair & makeup looks like. I got a mega VIP experience last night and had my hair & makeup done by the lovely Lucky. We used to work at MuchMuaic/MTV years ago. Stopped by the RESERVE lounge for sponsors for a cocktail and went home early. @casiestewart Takes one to know one…or two! 😉 Great meeting you. — Scarlett Jane Music (@ScarlettJMusic) March 19, 2013 Found this at Sean’s studio before we went home. Would really make a WMCFW statement with this thing! Ha! Hope your day is off to a great start! Stay warm out there 🙂 <3 CASIE

Nella Bella FW 2013 Media Preview

This photo is from the FW 2013 launch for Nella Bella the other day. Sean & Brock, both so handsome. I’m glad I cut my hair too. Moto jacket is from Nasty Gal’s first ever collection (SS 2013). Obsessed with that site BTW (HINT HINT BIRTHDAY IS COMING). This private event , hosted by Nella Bella’s Creative Director Tarek Al-Azbat introduced to us and the media to many firsts for the six-year-old fashion house.  New products include scarves, cowls, a PDA carrying case, multi-compartment tote and more wallets. I’ve had a few NB bags over the years and have literally worn them out by taking them around the world and on a zillion adventures. It was lovely to be there supporting Tarek and celebrating with my fashion friends family. I’d really like this big ol’ black one. It is similar to a style from a couple season back that I absolutely LOVED! Check out the entire Spring 2013 collection at nella-bella.com and stay tuned for FW when the next fashion week rolls around. It will coe soon enough. I can’t believe it’s ALREADY Toronto fashion week World Mastercard Fashion Week again. I usually get a pass but this season didn’t bother. Lucky for me, I’ve been invited to shows each night so I’m not missing out on anything! Happy Friday and have a beautiful day! <3 CASIE

Don’t be late to the meme!

You know what I’m talking about. If your boss comes up to you says something about the ‘harlem shake’ you better it’hope it’s not about doing one, or you might as well Gangnam Style right out of the office. We posted a b-l-o-g at work written by Dylan about people coming late to the meme. It’s basically THE WORST thing you can do for your company, office, or brand. You risk being known as ‘behind the times’ forever. When it comes to memes, either get on that bus early or don’t get on at all. The viral video game is all about speed. Going “viral” is a funny thing. You can’t know if your video will ever go viral. You can’t plan for it to go viral. You can’t predict it will go viral. You can’t guarantee it will, or force it to go viral. The only thing you can ever really know about a viral video is that its popularity has faded. Eventually, everything viral dies. Goes six feet under. Kicks the bucket. Buys the farm. Read it here: A VIRAL DEATH. This is serious people. In other news, we found a new guitar in the library and I am making Sean play it for me. He hasn’t played much lately and his fingers are hurting but he is so good at it. True Lies Romance.  (Good movie though!) CASIE

Time Flies When You’re Makin’ Stuff

I really love the TimeHop app. I’ve subscribed to it via email for about a year and they recently just released an app for mobile. The best thing  is the reminder of that you did one year ago, “it’s a time capsule for you”. I can’t believe it was almost exactly four years ago my sister and I dressed up for the subway dance party. It’s crazy how fast time flies. There was booze in that coffee cup and I look like Waldo’s girlfriend. One of the coolest things about the Internet is that it keeps all your memories. I deleted thousands of files from my computer last night and Sean asked, “do you need these?” I happily answered, “No, they’re all on the Internet.” Yes, I have the important stuff backed up but almost everything I’ve created over the last decade has been published. CRAZY. Crazy awesome 🙂 This is Subway Dance Moves <3 CASIE

Jimmy & Michelle Mom Dancing?

Saw this on the news this morning and had a good laugh. Michelle Obama is the coolest First Lady EVER. I’m trying to remember my Mum doing these moves as a kid. I’m sure she had a few, the snaps. This will give you a good laugh. Enjoy! Was so nice to visit Mum this weekend. This is her, Jenie, Sean, and I back stage for The Sheepdogs concert at Echo Beach last summer. I was probably showing them something amazing on TEH INTERNET.  I’m getting so sick of winter. I want to ride my bike and play outside already! In other news, I cleaned James Dean, my lil’ 11″ Macbook Air last night using this program called Grand Perspective. It lets you creep inside your computer and see what taking up the most space. Somehow all kinds of my gmail.imap messages were saving on my unit and taking up HEAPS of space. I deleted them and now my computer is fast again. Get to know your data people! It’s gonne be stormy tonight. Hopefully this is the last hurrah before Spring comes. Have yourself an awesome day! <3 CASIE

I’m Sorry.

I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging as much as I used to. I had a great chat with a friend and loyal blog reader this weekend about my blog THIS IS MY LIFE. I have been updating daily for years up until January of this year and to be honest, I was tired and didn’t really feel like sharing. Maybe I had the winter blues? I’ve also been feeling a little dissatisfied with the blog. I would like to implement a few changes like switching to a more reliable web hosting platform in order to improve my reader’s experience. However, I need to learn more about A2 Hosting first. I started blogging so I had a place to keep all my memories. A collection of people, places, things, and thoughts. It evolved, took me around the world, to red carpets, runways, TV, print, and even film. I would not have been able to do all those wonderful things without you guys reading about all the adventures. Thank you 🙂 In other news, I’m back on track this week after the nasty cold I had last week. Attended a funeral on the weekend and got to stop by and visit boith Mum and Dad with Sean. Always nice to give them hugs and have a few laughs. Mum framed these and kept them out to show me. I’ve always been an artistic kid… … with a flare for the media! This quote and artwork posted in the local paper when I was 7 years old. I hope your week is off to a great start! Have an awesome day, ♥ CASIE

Friday I’m in Love (with Weekend)

That long weekend was a magical thing. Was planning to head up north to the cottage but got stopped by the snow. Which, turned out for the better, got a bunch done around the house and we made it into a staycation. This is the awesome 3Dprint from the Hop Pop Factory kissing booth last week w/ Sean. We had such a great Valentines week long celebration starting last Sunday (with a little blue box gift from Tiffany’s!) and went until the following Monday. We’re both full time romatics so Valentines Day lasts all year.   He gave me the most beauty rose before a dinner date.   We went to Playa Cabana Cantina, Dundas West for Mexican. It was wonderful. I need a vacation. Kenny played a little prank at work on Friday.   Sean and I watched the entire season on House of Cards this weekend. great show. Had a chuckle at the movie categories on Netflix, can you guess who is who?   I love Claire’s style in House of Cards. Elegant, she means business. This week is gonna be a wet one. Don’t let it get you down. Spring will be here soon and the weekend even sooner Have a wonderful day 🙂

Award-winning chef Jonathan Gushue reported missing?

Yesterday was lying in bed, aware, awake, ready to get up, but not really just yet, a few more minutes pleaseandthankyou. I like to think about my day and outfit. Then someone was calling me and it was Mum. She rung to say the Exec. Chef from Langdon Hall was missing and it was all over the local news. (I am from Cambridge and  like to be up on news.) I spent lots of time on Langdon Drive growing up and have find memories of Langdon Hall. There are deer in the back forrest, it’s really beautiful. I was there in May with Mum for my birthday driving Infiniti G37. LIKE A G6.  The Chef is Jonathan Gushue and he’s been at LH for 7 years.  The missing story is kinda weird but he has family he’s been missing since Dec.31, 2012. It feels like a movie. (Doesn’t everything?) He used a fake name at the hotel, but he’s pretty famous. I love when characters do that in movies. Strangest quote from everything I have read about this disappearance is in this from TheStar “Every aspect of my husband I am in love with,” she said. “He is my soul mate. My children worship the ground he walks on. We deal with our issues.” Apparently he has disappeared before and has been in AA for two years. Not a good combo. I hope he returns safe to his family. If you have any info about Jonathan Gushue, call Waterloo Police at 519-650-8500 ext. 2299. Here is a nice video about him and Langdon Hall.

I did all the things on my list today in preparation for a great night. It’s been an amazing year. I’m heading to Lauren’s then to 159 Manning for what it sure to be one epic house party after another. I was going to write a post about the end of the year and stuff but I took a nap instead. Ha! I’m feeling great and will write something tomorrow as I return to regularly scheduled blogging. I am so excited for 2013. We made it past the Mayan prediction and through all kinds of things, and now truly have the ability to make our dreams come true.
