View PostLast night in between work, Fashion Week shows, and an awesome event at The Spoke Club, I stopped into the Shangri-La Hotel to preview the new Swarovski ‘Tropical Paradise’ collection. There were so many nice things. I feel like I say that every single time I go to a Swarovski preview ex. here, here, here, and here. They have some nice glasses too. This photo does neither of us justice! I LOVE that beetle. All photos taken with current mobile device the HTC One S on Telus. It has an awesome camera. I kinda miss android a little. I uploaded the images all using WordPress for Android. great lil’ app there. The interface on Android is nicer than iPhone. View PostThe week before I started at Community I was CRAZY busy with TIFF events. One of the things that makes TIFF so busy is the insane amount of parties and outfit changes in between gift lounges & films. NO really, it’s actually stressful! My friend Val works with Jean Machine and they invited me to the Eaton Centre store to ….PICK OUT AN OUTFIT! I worked in the mall heaps during highschool and knew Jean Machine well. My first job was at GAP in Fairview Park Mall. I used to wear a LOT of jeans back then and Jean Machine was my destination. I remember almost crying to Dad once I needed new jeans and in the car we went to Jean Machine. I wish like crazy I still has those super soft Silver’s from grade ten, I lived in those things. It’s been ages since I walked into a Jean Machine store and was happy to be re-introduced. They had Yoga Jeans, Mavi is still there, and some new brands. I tried on about 10 pairs with a stylist over the course of an hour. Decided on a pair of flare (yes, and so long) jeans by Guido & Mary. Low rise, slim fit, and BEST a$$ pants. No seriously. To complete my outfit I got a fitted blazer from the Jean Machine brand YDE. Wore the blazer at first day at work and jeans when I spoke last week at a conference week. I am so thankful for the Internet, Twitter, Instagram etc. cause I could forgotten moments if I wasn’t constantly documenting. I started blogging in 2005 as a way to ‘keep more memories’, seven years later it’s the best thing I could have done. It works as a constant reminder to be grateful & show gratitude for all the wonderful people & experiences in my life. These are some of my favourite things I’ve done in the last few hot months. Summer Highlights 2012: Muskoka Weekends & Boating. Montreal weekend. Skydiving in Boston. Harley Riding. Outdoor Rock climbing w/ Ford & Bloggers. Beerfest w/ Carly & Lauren. Partying w/ the girls. Filming w/ Coral TV & growing the channel to over 1,000 subscribers & 125,000+ views! Hanging out w/ Mum. Driving on the Ford Track in Michigan w/ media from around the world. Oh and this guy 😉 Speaking at NXNE. NXNE Parties MMVA Show, Gifting lounges, & parties Banff World Media Festival, first time out West! Birthday falling on the same day at Hawaii’s company launch Being a Production Assistant on a short film in Orangeville. Hitting the beaches in Miami & Ft. Title is one of of the lyrics. I had such a beautiful weekend in Montreal. I’m uploading a bunch of photos to Pinterest here if you wanna check ’em out. Will have a video up later today. It’s lovely getting away for a few days. Being back in the city is good too, but busy. TIFF starts next week. One of my fav events is the Festival Music House put on by RockIt Promotions, there’s always a bunch of good bands and the crowd is fun. See posts from 2011 & 2010 here.
