When you wake up and realize it’s Friday! Get outta bed and do that FRIDAY DANCE! Did you know that back when Men In Black came out I was kinda obsessed with the move after my high school dance crew did a routine to the theme song. We even performed at a Cineplex on opening night. I know this move oh too well. Yu show up to work like “oh hey, it’s just me, chillin’ working till the weekend’ At lunch you DGAF, just relax, take a few extra mins to shoot the sht with your homies. Say wha? Someone called a meeting at 4pm. On a FRIDAY? Who DOES that! Ok, 5pm rolls around and no matter how cold it is outside you feel like, yeahhhhh. You dance again.   You have a cocktail. Or maybe you have a pizza? Who doesn’t LOVE PIZZA?! It’s heaven on the inside. Even if you’re like me and you’re only at home watching Netflix, it feels so good to be THE COUCH. It’s so cold and totally ok to stay home and hibernate. Tonight Sean and I are going to a Murder Mystery dinner tho. I wonder if I should wear a costume? Yeah, Netflix is awesome. HHhhuhhh, huuuhh. Been streaming The Fall Season 3 this week and it’s SO GOOD. Have to stop myself from binging the whole season. OH YEAH, it’s February today  almost February and HOUSE OF CARDS is back Feb. 27th. Mark your calendar. I’ll be staying inside that whole weekend to watch it. I’ve missed Frank & Claire. On that note, I send you my love across the whole wide Internet and wish you a wonderful day. Happiness depends upon ourselves. #TGIF

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. Buddha This week has been a busy one for me and probably for you. Back to school, back to work, TIFF, NYFW, and all the other little life things that pop up can really take a toll on your energy. I’m channeling this moment from last weekend when Sean and I went on a long drive through the Muskokas, from Gravengurse to Port Carling, Bala, and back. I asked him to stop the car so I could stand in the middle of the road and admire all that surrounded me. The trees, the fresh air, the silence. It made me think of one of my fav poems, Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken. It’s one of those things I dig up and read when I need to remind myself that taking the not so easy route and toughing through hard work is what makes all the difference in the end. “If it was easy, everyone would do it”, I’m sure someone older than you told you that before. If you’ve got that stress flow cramping your style, take a nap, take a bath, take a walk, take your phone out of your hand, and take a minute (or hour, or afternoon) to appreciate all the good things in your life. You’ll feel a stress release, I promise. <3 CASIE

This week has been really great. Twitter: This happened…OMFG. Annouced on Twitter. Talk about giant step… I want a ring like her so bad just like every single girl in the world. I’d like a right hand one personally. I’m not ready for someone to take my left hadn yet. Did you know my full name is Casie Diana Stewart and Mum picked my middle name after Princess Diana. Twestival & Samsung parties were both fun. We raised over $20,000 for Concern Worldwide in Toronto alone.  I wasn’t sure about the 3D TV but seriously, that shit is amazing.  Feeling tired today, been a long week. This March is madness, so many events, so little time, so much to write about.  Gah, feeling a little overwhelmed.  Naptime when I get home. Gotta make a sched for LG Fashion week.   Looking forward to the Y&R at 4:30, shit be gettin’ CRA-ZAY. Hope your day is good. Sun is shining and despite feeling a bit drained, I’m happy. TTYL xo

This has been a really busy week. Feeling more Gah Gah than GaGa. I’m usually busy, but  seriously, this week has me totally tuckered. Go-go-go non-stop. Everyday. Mama’s tired. Quite looking forward to hibernating over the weekend. Writing, relaxing,  finishing up KC’s book. Feeling like it’s new sketchbook day.  Have these awesome neon pastels and whole new set of other colours that want me to play with them. I think it’s time. Lisa posted this pic of her, Breanna and I in her post today. So cute! We went to get our dresses fitted all together late week. That in itself, was almost as fun as wearing them to the ball. Thank you so much to everyone who came out last night. I’ve gotten heaps of positive feedback. Here’s a couple posts from Melissa, Romi and Sean. I made some vids and will get them up over the weekend. First, I need a break-ation from the interwebs and doing stuff. I’m exhauzzzzzzzzted. I realized after my talk last night that I would have no problem filling up an hour, I barely got down to detail.   Really excited to plan the next event with Carly. I ask and bat my eyelashes even though I’m home blogging & tweeting in tights and a snuggy. …. talk nerdy to me… Responds with full name…which leads to a T.G.I.F. search,  twitter, google, internet, facebook. I’m the the jerk cause I don’t do it right after popping the question,. Only mildly curious anyways but mostly easily distracted and doing my own thing. First, search.twitter.com. No results, uses a branded twitter name so makes sense. Second engine, Google search, first result linkedin followed by FB and a couple other things. Third, Internet search, browsing any other site other than Twitter, Google or Facebook.  I check linkedin, history of pretty good jobs, nothing crazy and very professional. This is a good thing. Last check is FB, we’ve got about a dozen common friends. I know this social circle. Friendship requested.  The internet makes the world a small place. With just a name you can learn so much. This week I read a tweet that said if someone is not found on Google or FB, they’re probably a serial killer. Exaggerated yes, (I hope) but really now, someone with NO DIGITAL footprint at all? Makes me wonder if we could ever be friends.

Twitter: His name has been trending all freaking day and every news station as well as Youtube and Ustream broadcasted the apology today. Also Twitter trending is #tigershouldve. What the hell has our world come to? It was if President Obama was making a statement about national security or something. Sheeeeeeeeesh. Google: Buzz…into it…kinda. Seems to be pulling in my Tweets in slow-time not real-time. Good thing I updated my Google Profile days before Buzz launched. Internet: Just discovered Caveman Circus today. Awesome does not even describe it. It’s a Men’s entertainment site dedicated to all the things men care to waste time on. Have fun 😉 Facebook: Tonight MTV is doing web-only LIVE screening of the new movie ‘Turn the Beat Around‘  at 7p EST.  You can watch the entire movie and chat LIVE on the MTV Facebook Fan Page. It’s so they can get feedback before it airs on TV later this month. Preeeeety cool. Wonder if we’ll see more movies on FB this year? Seems like a good idea. Gonna check it out tonight. I know that following the previous post with this post is……..whatever. Everyone needs a little entertainment  in their day! Twitter Last night I had a Jersey Shore finale with with a heap of best Twitter babes and buds. Thanks to unbrelievable, irieras, CrystalGibson, LaurenBoutette, carolzara, jeniestewart,  kericdn for coming over. We didn’t get a photo of us all cause we were so into watching the show each other’s conversations. We decided we wanna raise money to get Snookers to come over to my place for a party. Awesome idea. Thanks jaggabombs. Google Just checked Google Trends and ‘sleep talker blog’ was trending…so I obvs checked it out….seems Sleep Talkin’ Man blog went viral today. Wonder when that’s gonna happen to me, I mean go viral, I think a Paris Hilton style is a sure way. The guys wife records/publishes stuff her husband says while he sleeps.  Some are pretty funny ex “Well if I’m the douchebag, you’re the contents, Titfuck!” Internet Today I learned that young Swedish women are more likely to have sex with each other.  In the Sweedish study the figures for women having sex with other women were “strikingly high”. Interesting eh? Facebook We’re planning the February edition of genyTO and it will be held on Friday the 5th which is two weeks away. Join our FB group for details. Here’s my Friday roundup of good shit I’ve found around the interwebs. I’ve had a busy ass week of long days and late nights…that’s the price you pay for doing what you love! I try not to get down on myself for not getting everything done right away. I’m kinda anal about sticking to my own rigorous schedule.  I have to remind myself “there’s only 24 hours in a day Casie and you need sleep to keep going”.  Talking to myself really helps too.  haha joking. not joking. Twitter: Need I say more? No. Google: Featuring a YouTube video I found the other day. The put a very unique Coke machine in a College. I like this kinda thing, makes ya feel good in the inside. Where will happiness strike next? Here, right here. Internet: News about Conan went wild in online this week. Then, he put his show on Craigslist. Clicking the image will take you to the original posting. Facebook: I posted on twitter looking for anyone with a Haiti connection that wanted to be on MuchOnDemand. I was connected to Didier Dorelien, a Haitian residing in Toronto now via Lava. I arranged for him to be on the show. Here is the video: I was really touched watching this video on Facebook. I found out last night that his parents have been located but there are still so many people missing. . He’s coming back next week to talk about Haiti with the governor general. This is me at work today & rocking my favorite sweater, that yes, is my own vintage circa 1988. Twitter Over the holidays I had a bunch of messages from people sounding like “Teach me about Twitter”. This made me happy. Jeff even said ‘I think I’m gonna Tweet” and my heart melted. I’m doing classes on using Twitter for Personal & Business just let me know if you’re interested, you know how to find me. I’m booking Saturday & Sunday sessions starting February. Google All week I’ve been exploring stats and facts about social media. I educated my team about using Google alerts and Google Blog search. Both are really awesome for keeping tabs on your personal brand or business and really hearing what people are saying. Internet I’ve answered like a zillion questions people have been asking me on formspring. I really like it. I realized more and more how the internet is changing thanks to social media. We are all becoming more connected. This image breaks it down pretty damn good [click to view larger]: Facebook I went back to using FB connect & Disqus on my blog this week (feel free to comment and test it out!) The thing is, people always comment on FB but that doesn’t show up on the blog. I’d rather people commented on the blog and published the comment in their FB newsfeed. Get it?
