I’ve got some exciting news… I’m heading to NEW YORK and CUBA with my favorite for Christmakkuh. So excited. OMG. Leaving in two weeks… I didn’t update my blog yesterday but let me tell you, tweets are flying with what I am doing 24/7/365. If you’re ever bored and have already trolled this blog, go read my tweets. You just might pee your pants. I laugh and love it. For example, today I had toasted coconut after a Boston creme #FML. My friend posted these old pics on Facebook yesterday and I had a chuckle. I’ve changed so much over the years. These were all in about 1998-199. I looked TOTALLY different in 2001 here. New show at work, Jersey Shore. haha so funny; beers +bitches +beach +protein +tanning +hair gel +cologne = guidos. I’ve been talking with an accent all day and I can’t get enough. I’m watching the repeat right now. Tonight is heart for the Holidays at Marben. Come out. Have drinks fun & party with me and a zillion of TO’s coolest., smartest & best looking GenY peeps. Last Friday I posted TGIF and you know what? I’m gonna do it again! I’ve had a great week at work. Feeling better as each day goes by, I’m kinda getting the hang of things. Life is extraordinary in the moments when you are laughing so hard you can barely breathe. These moments of deep laughter are divine in the sense that they cleanse your mood and set your mind on a positive track. Making the Yellow Light – It’s one of the most common simple pleasures, the act of beating the pack. As you blaze through the yellow light you glance in your rearview to see all the cars behind you stopping at the red light. Yes! You made it! 3. This laughing girl…love laughing and photos of girls laughing always put a smile on my face. I like to Tweet them via Tumblr when I see a real beaut. That’s it for the Friday wrap up. I’m back to the Impact Conference & stoked to be at the HEAD TABLE with Jeff and Justin Trudeau. I’m out of town all weekend and back at the office Tuesday! BON WEEKEND!

Day 398: Take A Minute

Feel like you need to take a minute? Me too. Inhale, exhale. Look around. Assess the situation. Feel the feelings. Check your surroundings. Take inventory. Reality check. Determine what’s real. Accept how you feel. Set boundaries. Cover your back. Protect your heart. Be kind. Clear your mind. Walk it out. Have a talk. Take a deep breath. Breathe. inhale, hold, exhale, hold How to Do Box Breathing Close your eyes. Breathe in through your nose while counting to four slowly. Feel the air enter your lungs. Hold your breath inside while counting slowly to four. Try not to clamp your mouth or nose shut. Simply avoid inhaling or exhaling for 4 seconds. Begin to slowly exhale for 4 seconds. Repeat steps 1 to 3 at least three times. Ideally, repeat the three steps for 4 minutes, or until calm returns. I didn’t make this up but I use it quite a bit to keep myself calm or relax for sleep. More info on it here or give it a Google to learn how it helps with stress & anxiety. Took a walk in the rain. Had a massage after work. Ordered takeout. Called some friends. Took an edible. Watched The Circle. Melted into the couch. TGIF. ?

The other day we drove past the BITE Lip Lab on Queen, it was snowing, and there was this gorgeous man standing in the window. I stared at him and then I was like ‘omg I know him, that’s Christopher!’. Hadn’t seen him in forever, sent him a FB, then he invited me in to make a custom lipstick. I’d like you to meet my first BITE/CASIE colour: ? ‘in the nude’, ‘send nudes’ what should I call my new BITE/CASIE lipstick!? ?✌? You can add up to two flavours to your lipstick. I did mint (only). I’m happy, it’s refreshing. I bet there’s some pretty great combos with these tho. It didn’t take that long! I loved the first colours we mixed up and then Christopher got the ingredients, mixed it, chilled it on a cold plate, and put it in a tube. Then they engrave it for you at no extra charge. Before I knew it, I had my very own unique lipstick, with my initials, and I waltzed off into the sunshine! ☀️ Now I want to make a bright red and peachy one for spring. ? Tech l New Gadget – Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

Today is an exciting day, new tablet! This is my first post from the new gadget and I’m going to be spending heaps of time with it this weekend. I used to draw all the time with my old iPad but I gave it to mum a couple years ago. I’ve got my stylus ready to reactivate my old blog borderline artistic. Yahooo! Big thanks to Samsung for hooking a sista up. Pretty stoked about this new addition to the family. New gadget day IS THE BEST! Thank you #Samsung. Dermalogica’s Little Grey Pass, Cooking, & Tattoos

OMG yay It’s Friday. This week felt so long. I’m sure the everlasting winter and a sick day in the middle did NOT help. You know what did? The AMAZING facial I had at Hammam Spa. God I love that place. It was my first facial there and WHAT an experience. It in included a much needed cleanse and scrub on my dry winter face, massage on arms, neck, head, legs, warm towel on the feet, and recommendations on how to stay hydrated. After lounging in the steam room I picked up a new Dermalogica medium-weight moisturizer and headed to dinner. I’ve learned that taking time and spending some of your hard earned money to TREAT YO SELF really makes a difference. My face feels fresh and soft like a little baby bum. Tomorrow I’m heading to the BURBS to shoot our last episodes w/ Garret and Sash. I used this photo of Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne in my storyboard haha. The single shots of me talking were represented by the Stewart cooking queen herself, Ms. Martha! My fav tattoo artist Angelique Houtkamp is now on GelaSkins and I have my gadgets a makeover. Ok, how sexy are these!? Helloooooo! Now the match my tattoos. Ok, that’s all for now. It’s THE WEEKEND!

Huge TBT | The Blog Years, March 2009 – 2013

Ok here’s a MASSIVE TBT on the month of March from 2009 – 2013. I love looking back on things I’ve done. It’s so easy to forget! The main reason I started this blog in 2005 was so I could remember more. It totally worked! On this day last year Sean sent me flowers to the office .What a darling. Love you! I also blogged about Andy Warhol on this day last year. Sean and I were getting ready to go on a trip to Boston too. See posts tagged March 2013 here. Two years ago on this day I was at The Gladstone for an event. Loved those boots so much. And RIP that leather jacket. Took part in a round table w/ Russ Martin from Marketing Magazine about Rdio & music streaming in Canada. It was MUCH nicer outside and I visited the Toronto Music Garden. Took this using 360 Panoramic app in iPhone from hTO Park (Urban Beach) which is right beside the lake. Around this time two years ago I filmed ‘It’s All About Me’ documentary that last year won several film festival awards. I’m in another documentary that will be on the festival circuit soon. Pretty neat if you ask me! In March 2011 I was a Personal Branding expert with Levi’s. I love looking back on this stuff, I forget how many things I’ve done! Here are some tips on building your personal brand to help establish yourself online: Set a goal: Make a plan for your brand. What are you passionate about? What do you want to be known for? Start a blog: Use WordPress, Tumblr, Blogger or Posterous to create a free home for your online activity. FW 2012 Levi’s Preview & Your Personal Brand

Last week I attended the FW 2012 preview from Levi’s at The Burroughs Building, one of my favourite venues in the city. I’ve been a lover of the Levi’s brand since I had my first pair as a kid. I remember how excited was to rock my first 501s. I was happy to see the brand taking a stept outside the denim box into lifestyle clothing. I’d really in love with the little dress. There’s a bunch of denim dresses in the SS collection I would love to be wearing right now. It was nice to see some creativity in the fashion show. You’ll see how the models each came out and walked the stage playing ‘characters’ who wear Levi’s. There was a few couples dressed in similar styles, the preppy kids, hipster boy with a fixie to show lock holder on jeans, pretty girl in the dress, and suave babe in blazer. It was nice. Not to mention the whole performance starting with shirtless hunk. Watch The Video: I’m pretty sure every fashion editor in the city was there. We watched all the models get dressed in different styles right before our eyes. This guy was the babe of all babes. George Strombo’s TIFF Takeover at The Hazelton

Cue Katy Perry TGIF cause last Friday night Keri, Lauren and I had an awesome time at The Hazelton and I’d do it allllllllll again.Red carpet love from your three fav blondes 🙂 There were thousands of people gathered around watching. I wore a top from Bicyclette, American Apparel Late Night Disco Shorts and Jeffrey Campbell pixie wedges with Zebra nails & matching purse. Most of these next photos are from Keri’s blog, check it here. I didn’t take camera. I spy Julian & Notable.ca. I met CLIVE OWEN. I love him. My fav role he played was in Closer with Natalie, Julia and Jude. He was beautiful and charming in person, just like in my dreams. Mega swoon. Bono, Jason Reitman, Gerard Butler, Juliette Lewis, Jon Hamm and heaps more celebs were there too. Thanks for another great party George. CBC Live tweeted that we were there along with all the celebs. How cool is that Mum?! Finally met Amber Mac. Her name comes up all the time, she said the same, although we had never met in person before. Super nice girl. Been following her for years. Sarah Was super cute and said “ahhh my fav bloggers all together”. Her post is here. More blonde blogging babes! Lynsie is covering Fashion Week in London. Congrats girl! Kris was my fav meet of the evening. I was certain he was Chris Martin from Coldplay but he is an actor on Tudors who is also a Pentathlon, riding and fencing champion. Mega catch there. For sure my fav party of the whole Toronto Film Festival. It was great to see all kinda of people I hardly see on the regular. Thanks Strombo & CBC for doing it up again this year.
